EMU 1616m PCIe not recognized in SB CS4

I recently installed my soundc
ard internally to the motherboard and it works great in ableton live. Now I am trying to record vinyl into sound
booth and whenever i go to preferences> Audio Hardware  and then I pick default devices. It gets stuck on my previous driver of asio4all. any ideas on how to get it back into ASIO and then use the E-MU ASIO driver?

nevermind. I read the FAQ and figured out that since I have windows 7 64 bit, i just changed the theme from aero
to basic and I was able to switch back to the E-MU ASIO as the default driver.

  • Format AVHCD not recognized in Adobe CS4

    Hello
    I have download the trial version of CS4 which I have updated in to 4.2.1 with the adobe updater.
    I have a camcorder SR10 Sony for which I have record in AVHCD Full HD.
    When I try to import my MTS file, Premiere tell me that the format is not recognized.
    I want to try Adobe for video editing.
    What I have done wrong ?
    regards

    As Ann points out, NOTHING related to MPEG (any sort) is supported by the trial version, due to licensing issues with the MainConcept MPEG CODEC. The full-paid version has full MPEG (and AVCHD) support, plus it has Encore, the authoring program. With the trial, the best test footage will be DV-AVI Type II.
    If you go with the full-paid version, please uninstall the trial, run the Adobe Clean Script CS4 several times (maybe running a Registry cleaner afterwards), and then install and update your full-paid version of PrPro CS4. Otherwise, you will have other problems. The unistall, Clean Script, install order is VERY important. Do not omit a single step.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • Power adaptor in the EMU 1616m PCI

    Hi,
    I'm thinking of ordering the E-MU 1616m PCI from a USA retailer. The retail box contents of this product in the E-MU site mentions a "Universal Power Adaptor". Does that mean that it can be used also in European power sockets (220-230 V in Portugal).
    Thanks in advance.

    Let's be clear about what an adapter is. The Apple "charger" is what I mean when I say "adapter", because the charger is actually in the phone.
    You can charge any iPhone, regardless of where it was purchased, with any Apple USB adapter. You may need a PLUG adapter to plug in the Apple 5 volt USB adapter. You should never use a non-Apple power adapter unless it is certified by Apple. And, unfortunately, you need to watch out for counterfeit "Apple" adapters that are really ripoffs and are not safe to use even though they look like Apple adapters and even have Apple's logo and part number. See these for why:

  • Tahoma font not recognized in Flash CS4

    Ok, here is my current problem I wanted to use Cs4 to edit a flash template but noticed it kept saying I did not have tahoma font installed. I checked the font folder and I did have the font installed on the system but nevertheless I reinstalled it which did not fix the problem so I manually mapped/substituted it to the Tahoma I had on my system but noticed the fonts still appeared off when I published. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software and it still occurs. Do you have any suggestions?

  • Why is Internet Explorer 8 Not Recognizing Video on CS4?

    As we use Macintosh iMacs we cannot validate IE 8 on our CS4 Dreamweaver.
    But looking at a PC earlier we saw that IE8 did not recognize the video on our web page.
    We checked it at http://validator.w3.org But there was no given reason why.
    Does anyone know why? It works on Safari, Firefox and Opera.
    Thanks for any help...

    Microsoft's web browsers are bad. Very bad.
    But they all work with Flash if you have a Flash plugin and most people using Internet Exploiter download Flash. Problem is, that won't work for iPads.
    If, what you are trying to do is use HTML5, it simply won't work with a Microsoft browser. It will work with Webkit (Safari and Chrome) and will not work with Firefox until Firefox supports a video standard (which they won't until someone comes up with an Open Source video Codec).
    So Flash is still pretty much it.
    What I'm looking to do is to go with HTML 5 and do a detection for Internet Exploder and Firefox and offer a Flash alternative for them. I don't have an example yet, but I'll be looking at ways to do that.

  • PCI 7330 not recognized in Windows 7

    When I transferred my 7330 motion controller board to another PC, it is not recognized in MAX. Windows system put it as unknown PCI board.
    The PC runs on Windows 7. LabVIEW 2010 and MAX 4.7 were installed. What could be the reason for the 7330 not being recognized?
    Thanks.

    Yes, I found out why. When I install the device drivers, I always install the default selected drivers. So it must be that NI-Motion driver is not included in those defaults. The second time, I specifically selected to install NI-Motion;now the board is recognized well.
    It's trivial, but another thing learned. Thanks for the reply. I also posted this on the hardware forum.

    I was directed to adobe to download CS4 on my new iMAC after hardware failure on PC.  The valid CS4 serial number for the PC is now not recognized by Adobe, even though I downloaded all the software successfully on the new iMac..  They gave me a free 30 day trial on the new iMAC.........Does this mean I have to spend a lot of money to update and activate the latest CS release on the new machine ??????

    Purple Lobster your Creative Suite 4 serial number is for Windows or Mac only.  If you were previously using it on Windows then it is likely you have a Windows license.  You can verify by checking your serial number at http://www.adobe.com/.  You can find more details at Find your serial number quickly - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/find-serial-number.html.
    If you wish to run Adobe Creative software on your new iMac then I would recommend a Creative Cloud complete or single application membership.  You can find more details at https://creative.adobe.com/plans.  There is also a 30 day trial available for the Creative Cloud if you wish to evaluate the newest versions of the Adobe Creative applications.

  • PCI-Servo-4A cards not recognized by computer

    After shipping a computer with PCI-Servo-4A cards (which had been working for 2 years), my computer did not recognized several of the cards. These cards are not recognized in other working computers, and both computers recognize other "good" PCI-Servo-4A cards. There is a hardware failure on the cards (I have 10 with this problem). Has anyone repaired PCI-Servo-4A cards with this problem, and is there a "shotgun approach" to replacing a most likely culprit part?
    Thanks

    Hello,
    You can have your cards repaired by National Instruments. Goto ni.com/ask to generate a service request number and then call in with that number to RMA your boards.

  • Z87M-g43 pcie device not recognized

    Hi,
    we have a gaming pc using the z87M-G43 MB.  it has a sapphire R9 270 board in pcie 1 slot.  it covers the pcie 2 slot.  we've installed an avermedia HD gamer capture card in the pcie 3 slot.  this is the second card to rule out it being DOA.  the card appears fully seated in the slot.  however it's not recognized according to the bios MB explorer which shows that slot empty.  there are no explanation marks in the device manager.  i've also cleared the cmos and rebooted.
    Everything else on the board works fine.  Any idea how to get the pcie 3 slot to work?
    system details: i3-4150, Sapphire R9 270 2GB,  2x4gb ballistix ddr3-1600, evga 500W 80+ bronze PSU
    Thanks for the help.

    fair enough, the new capture card might be DOA as well.  I'll see if i can track down/borrow another pcie card to just try.  i note I read through a ton of the forums in the gaming mb subforum and saw other threads where folks had to install pcie cards in certain slots or the mb did not recognize them.
    Hopefully someone will chime in regarding using a pcie card in the second pcie x16 slot.  that seems unlikely to work, though.
    i can also try something else that would just be a test.  pull the r9 270 vga out and use the on-board vga.  that'll free up pcie_2 to try the capture card in.  that's not a real solution, but it'll at least test the card.  I've not done that yet as the rear most retaining clip is hard to get to and is a pain.
    Thanks,
    jeff

  • IPhone 4 not recognized when connected to new USB 2.0 card

    I have an iphone 4 OS4.1 on a no-name Windows XP Pro (service pack 3) PC with an AMD processor and lots of RAM.
    I had the phone working and syncing beautifully with the onboard USB 1.1 but it was slow. So I bought a new PCI USB 2.0 card and installed it. Card is installed and there are no problems according to the status in System Devices.
    But the computer does not recognize the iphone when plugged into one of those ports. If I plug it into one of the USB 1.1 ports that are still in the machine, it syncs and works fine. If I plug it into one of the new USB 2.0 ports, the PC shows the window at bottom right saying the device is not recognized. Tried the wizard but it's useless.
    THOUGHTS?????

    Nevermind!!!
    It turned out to be a faulty cable! I tried it with a different sync cable and it works fine!
    So disregard the question above.

  • XP Prof installation on Tecra A9 PTS52E - SATA HDD is not recognized

    Hi all,
    I have a brandnew Tecra A9 (PTS52E) with Vista Business installed. However, I need XP Prof and have a slipstreamed XP-SP2 CD. The SATA Disk is not recognized from XP setup, so I need a 'F6' driver.
    There are a lot of howtos about doing this for the 945 chipset, but I couldn't solve this on my A9 (Mobile 965 Express Chipset). I don't want to buy a USB-Floppydisk drive just for one-time-installation. So I have to build the driver (iastor.sys and more) in the XP setup disc.
    Some problems: there seems to be no easy way to do this, because intel only provides *.inf files for the ICH8R (=RAID) controller, which doesn't exist in the A9. So I have to edit the *.inf files, correct?
    Another thing: I saw in another posting here the discussion about switching from AHCI to compatibility mode in BIOS. I can't find a way to change this setting.
    Aargh, I need this Notebook for my work, on a A8 (which also is mine) I installed XP without any problems.
    Can anyone help?
    Thank you,
    Michael

    Hi,
    now i have a new problem: the last reboot after installation finished leads to bluescreen and immediately reboot (so I can't see the stop-message)
    During installation the reboot from Harddisk works.
    But so far:
    you need the latest Intel Chipset Driver:
    http://downloadcenter.intel.com/T8Clearance.aspx?url=/13499/a08/infinst_autol.exe&agr=N&ProductID=2800&DwnldID=134 99&lang=deu
    Next you must extract the files in a temp directory:
    IATA75 _ENU.exe -a -a -pC:\temp\AHCI
    Now edit the file iaahci.inf:
    you have to change all the ICH8R related entries (R means RAID, which isn't supported in that A9 version of the chipset) to ICH8. Also change the related PCI-device IDs from 0x8086h/0x2821h (Vendor/Device ID) to 0x8086h/0x2824h.
    The best way I think is to copy all ICH8R related sections and replace "ICH8R" with "ICH8" and "2821" with "2824".
    As you need the driver during installation, you also have to change these settings in txtsetup.oem.
    The next steps I found in a ASUS forum (they have similar problems):
    create a new (personalized) installation CD for Windows XP
    STEP 1: Modify the original XP installation files
    a) Copy all the files and directories of the XP installation disk to your hard drive
    Ex: form D:*.* (your installation CD) to C:/XP/*.* (your HD)
    b) Create the following directory path:
    XP\$OEM$\$1\drivers\SATA
    c) Copy all the files of the Intel Matrix Storage Manager (see solution I) to that directory: XP\$OEM$\$1\drivers\SATA
    iaAhci.inf, iaAhci.cat, iaStor.inf, iaStor.cat, iaStor.sys, and TxtSetup.oem.
    d) Copy iaStor.sys to XP\i386 directory
    e) Modify the file TXTSETUP.SIF located at: XP\i386
    => You can read and understand what you are doing reading Adding OEM drivers to Windows Setup at http://www.windowsserverx64.com/CSK/technical_articles/hardware/56.aspx (really nice article form Robert. Thanks)
    Use: notepad.exe to edit it.
    e.1) Under [HardwareIdsDatabase] add the following lines
    right after GenFloppyDisk = "flpydisk"
    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2821&CC_0106 = "iaStor"
    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2824&CC_0106 = "iaStor"
    and before PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1230 = "intelide",
    Note: dont touch any other line. Be carefull, the name iaStor => is case sensitive.
    e.2) under [SourceDisksFiles] add
    iaStor.sys = 1,,_x,4,1
    Note: There are several [SourceDisksFiles] sections. I added the line in all the existing sections.
    e.3) under [SCSI.Load] add
    iaStor = iastor.sys,4
    e.4) under [SCSI] add
    iaStor = "Intel(R) 82801HEM/HBM SATA AHCI Controller (Mobile ICH8M-E/M)"
    Note: If your controller is a different one, use the right one. Read the contents of the TxtSetup.oem file for more information.
    f) Create a new file called (use notepad) WINNT.SIF and locate it at: XP\i386
    [Data]
    AutoPartition=0
    MsDosInitiated=0
    UnattendedInstall=Yes
    [Unattended]
    UnattendMode=ProvideDefault
    OemPreinstall=Yes
    OemSkipEula=Yes
    NoWaitAfterTextMode=1
    NoWaitAfterGUIMode=1
    WaitForReboot=No
    TargetPath=WINDOWS
    DriverSigningPolicy=Ignore
    OemPnPDriversPath="driversSATA"
    [GuiUnattended]
    OEMSkipWelcome = 1
    [UserData]
    ProductKey=xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx
    FullName=EnterYourName
    OrgName=EnterYourOrgName
    Note: Use your own product key
    Now use a tool to create a bootable CD. I prefer "AutoStreamer" because I also have to slipstream SP2 into my XP Prof. CD.
    With it you generate an iso image. Burn it to disk and that's it.
    Like I've said: installation works well, just the last reboot from disk creates a bluescreen and therefor a bootloop.
    Regards,
    Michael
