Enable Attachment function on my Custom form

Dear All,
I am unable to enable attachment function on my Custom Sales Order form. Our form is just like standard form with some minor changes.
Please, help me in this regards.

What exactly are your trying to do when you say "enable attachment icon"? Also, since you mention "Custom Form" I assume you are developing in the Oracle Enterpise Business Suite (EBS). Whatever you are attempting, there may already be an "Apps Approved" method for doing this. I suggest you review the Applications Documentation specifically the Oracle E-Business Suite Developer's Guide and Oracle E-Business Suite User Interface Standards for Forms-Based Products guides. Also, you might want to post your question in the General EBS Discussion Forum.

Define your attachment Functions
Application Developer->Attachment->Attachment Functions
Thats all your attachment for the form is setup

Can we enable licensing facility for our customized forms and report...?

He All,
We have a product and we frequently used to send customized forms and reports to our customers through the shipment team after QC certified. But some of the customized forms and reports have sent to the customers without their knowledge from the development team, it is creating a big problem in the customer site.
We would like to know that is there any facilities to verify that this shipment has come from through proper channel or not if not they should not open. Is there any license kind of thing that we can do..? If I run some exe file which will check that and let the customer to use it..?
If any one have the knowledge about this kindly share with us. any kind of information regarding this can be appreciated.

So you want the customer to be able to check if the forms where shipped through the proper department from your company?
First thing that comes to my mind is to pack all the Forms in a JAR file (which is basically a ZIP file) and sign the JAR file with the jarsigner tool. To sign the JAR you need access to the private key that is in a keystore that's only available to this single department. The customer can verify if the JAR was signed with a proper certificate.
You could issue your own certificate to do this but requires the user to also first import this certificate so it is trusted. You could also buy a commercial certificate from a vendor like Verisign but there are costs involved.
Just google for jarsigner and keytool to get the idea.

Add user search functionality in a custom form

Hi,
I am new to IDM . I have two doubts regarding search functionality. Please help me out.
1. I want to add a user search option for a field and populate the value(user name ) from the searched result to that filed. The search option should have some search criteria like firstname ,lastname ,userid etc; depending on which we can search a particular user and after selecting one record that data should populate to that filed. Please let me know how can I archive that functionally? Is it possible to use the existing (out of box) search operation for it.
2. When we use selector, is it possible to change the default search option. I want to search depending on some criteria like firstname,lastname ,userid etc.

I know this is old post - but I dealed with this requirement one and I knew it's pain. So, I just want to share my little expereinced here if someone else needed it.
For this requirement - I have to customed the jsp pages. The file is tjspSearchUserTiles.jsp in the xlWebApp war file under tiles folder. What I did is check the current loging user's group. If he/she belong to Manager group, I set the search value Users.Manager Login equal to the username (this user name attribute alway available in the selvet section throught the USR BEAN.
If you could make this cutomization work from your OIM env you then could customize alot more.

Attachments not enabling for custom form

Hi,
I created a simple custom form based on a custom table having only 2 fields. The form works fine.
I tried adding attachment functionality by setting up -
- Document Entities
- Document Categories and
- Attachment Functions as given in many tutorials online.
I am still unable to see the attachment icon enabled.
I also registered the custom table using ad_dd.register_table and ad_dd.register_column and still the attachment icon is not enabled.
Even the profile option 'Indicate Attachments' is set to Yes at site level. Still does not work.
Is there any code that needs to be written on the standard attachments trigger in the fmb?
Please suggest what else I can do to enable the attachments icon/clip?

Urgent: Enabling Folder functionality in Custom Form

Hi!
I want to enable the folder functionality in my custom form. I'm copying STANDARD_FOLDER object group from standard oracle form and attaching APPFLDR library.
But when I try to open any folder in my form all the fields get disabled.
Any help on this will be appreciated.

How to enable attachment option in custom form

I am using oracle apps r12.1.3 version and my form version is 10g and db is 10g.
I was trying to make the enable the attachment option in my custom form but i got this Msg when i press attache button in menu.

"Record must be committed before adding attachment. Do you want to commit?.
After when i click yes the data get inserted to the table but attach option is still not enabled. when i tried to click again the attach option again it shows the same msg.
Can you pls guide me where i went worng.

Hi,
I think you have to use GOS service. Search for GOS. check the below thread or debug the standard transaction, you can find FMs
A couple of things regarding GOS and ArchiveLink for attaching Business Doc

How to register custom form into Oracle Applications

I created a custom form based on a custome table, then I registered in Oracle applications, but it is not opening properly in Oracle applications. It is running fine outside of Oracle Applications. Are there any standard packages which I need to attach while creating this custom form.
Please help.

1. Copy your form (test.fmb) into $AU_TOP/forms/US
2. Compile with f60gen
3. Copy the test.fmx file to $PRODUCT_TOP/forms/US
4. Login to Oracle Applications with sysadmin user
5. Select Application Developer responsibility
6. Navigate to Application - Form -
7. Enter the values for following parameter
Form = test
Application = You can select from LOV
User Form Name = Enter as you like
Description = Enter if any
8. Navigate to Application - Function
9. Enter the values in the function form
in Description TAB - Enter the value for Function, User Function Name, Description
in Properties TAB - Type = FORM
Maint.Mode Support = None
Context Dependence = Responsibility
in Form TAB - Form = Select your form name that already registered (above one)
Application = Will display
Parameters = STARTUP_MODE= TEST
10. Now you can attach the form in Menu then Responsibility
Revert back if you have any query.

To enable the Attachment functionality do the following.
1. Login the Application Developer.
2. Enter details for Document Entities & Document categories.
Create Custom Form. This is Fine.
I want to know how the system validate wheather to enable to Attachment Icon.
Requirement:
Trying to show all the attachments in one form.
