Please help
Thanks

Hi,
if it is complete new installation use wizard to do post nwdi installation steps otherwise you have to do manually.
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/a9/00b340782bb94ee10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
choose deploy and change -> Configuration or template installer -> select all tasks , you can see
Initial setup of functional unit Development Infrastructure (DI all-in-one). execute that.
If you are unable to see, check DI installed or not?

• Issue with enabling password in portal

Dear all,
I have enabled "Logon Problems? Get Support" link in portal, so when they click on Get Support and enter they login id and email click on submit, they get mails with newly created password.
now the issue is they do not want mails with password to be sent to they mails. they wanted some security questions on clicking Get Support and when answered correctly, password should be created on the same screen itself without sending mails.
how to achive this?
or is there any ways i can restrict user to reset password only once per day through password mailing system.
Thanks inadvance!

Hi,
you can achieve this by doing a custom application on WDJ, not sure any standard config exists or not.
Develop a web dynpro application and the security question as any existing field (like email) in our UME. verify with UME and then display the password on the screen.
check this link on UME (java source) properties:

Allo Anurag,
Yes, I verified and the knex.jar is in the classpath and in the right directory

Pat,
Can you check whether the CLASSPATH contains the file 'knex.jar'. The
variable used to set the CLASSPATH differs for a portal and a WebLogic
Server domain. The documentation example
states the entry for a WebLogic Server domain. Please check whether you
have
changed the CLASSPATH correctly for the Portal domain.

• Migration of Portal-Users to OID

Hello,
I have two 3.0.9.8.5 Portals (Production and Training) running under the same IAS 1.0.2.2. The access to the different Portals is managed over different DADs. Know I want to run the old Portals with the new Midtier 9.0.2. So I added the DADs to the 9.0.2 Midtier and run ssodatan on both Portals. Everything works fine so far.
In the next step I want to migrate the old Login-Server-users and groups to the new OID. I think I have to follow the SSO-Migration Guide.
I have identical usernames in the two Portals (same User in the Production World and for Training). The Users should be really different (also with different passwords). The Idea is to use different LDAP-Trees for them.
My questions:
How can I configure the Portals to use different LDAP-Trees?
Mirko

You may try Enabling Virtual Private Portal (Create HOSTED PORTALS ) with following:
Enabling virtual private portals on Oracle9iAS Portal and the Single Sign-On (SSO) server.
Creates a basic structure on Oracle Internet Directory (OID) for user/group support.
This would also involve creating a new subscriber stripe in Oracle9iAS Portal/SSO schemas.

• Portal Import/Export Different OID Servers

We are trying to move our 9ias instances (portal) to another set of servers used for production with security. Both instances are associated with their
own OID/Infrastructures - they are not sharing the same infrastructure.
I reviewed Note:216572.1 Subject: Exporting/Importing in Oracle Portal 9.0.X, but it does not tell you the steps required to migrate the users/groups as well. I also looked at the Portal 9.0.2 Export/Import FAQ (http://portalstudio.oracle.com/pls/ops/docs/FOLDER/COMMUNITY/OTN_CONTENT/MAINPAGE/DEPLOY_PERFORM/EXPORT_IMPORT_FAQ_1120.HTM) , but neither tell you how to export the users. They only say to use the OID Tools. What tools?
Excerpt from FAQ:
How do I export/import objects (with security) between portals using different OID servers in 9.0.2?
A manual workaround is available:
1. Use OID utilities to migrate Users/Groups from source OID server to target OID server.
2. In Oracle9iAS Portl, migrate portal objects with "export security" enabled from source Portal to target Portal
3. (MANUAL) For the imported users, set the guid to null (WWSEC_PERSON$.GUID)
4. (MANUAL) For the imported groups, update the guid using the instructions found in the section below on how to update the GUID.
Please refer to th[i]Long postings are being truncated to ~1 kB at this time.

To migrate users, groups, and security within Portal, you must have a common OID environment. The difference between all OID implementations is the RootDSE, (the part that starts with dc=..,dc=..., etc.
You have to extract the user base and portal groups (and any other unique objects and attributes) from the old OID environment and and use the extraction to create an ldif file that will add these to the new OID environment. The ldif must have its own RootDSE for all distinguished names (dn) and common names (cn) in the ldif file.
We basically created our OID migration solution around a Java applet that prompts for the OID IP address, OID HOST NAME, OID ADMIN USER, and OID ADMIN PASSWORD. It access the new OID environment and extracts the RootDSE, then builds the ldif file for import of groups, objects, and attributes. Our user ldif will do pretty much the same, once we have the user list from our customer.
The more complex issue revolved around the migration of external applications, which I address in my EXT_APP package, which enables you to build portlets containing links to external apps, while maintaining portability, as well as Item Level Security. YOu can find this in my Knowledge Exchange folder.
Quite a mouth full...sorry

• Ise 1.2, cannot access guest portal

I upgraded from 1.1.4 patch 3 to 1.2 but cannot access guest portal anymore nor with FQDN:8443 nor with IP:8443
any idea?

I had attached the steps to configure the guest portal and hope will address the problem.
Configuring the Guest Portal
Adding a New Guest Portal You must configure settings for the Guest portal before allowing guests to use it to access the network. Some settings apply globally to all Guest portals and other require you to set them for each portal individually.
You can add a new Guest portal or edit an existing one.
Step 1Choose Administration > Web Portal Management > Settings > Guest > Multi-Portal Configurations.
Step 2Click Add.
Step 3Update the fields on each of these tabs:
•General—enter a portal name and description and choose a portal type.
•Operations—enable the customizations for the specific portal
•Customization—choose a language template for displaying the Guest portal with localized content
•File Uploads—displays only if you have chosen a portal type requiring you to upload custom HTML files.
•File Mapping— identify and choose the HTML files uploaded for the particular guest pages. Displays only if you have chosen a portal type requiring you to upload custom HTML files.
•Authentication—indicate how users should be authenticated during guest login.
Step 4Click Submit.
Specifying Ports and Ethernet Interfaces for End-User Portals
You can specify the port used for each web portal allowing you to use different ports for the end-user portals: Sponsor, Guest (and Client Provisioning), My Devices, and Blacklist portals. The Client Provisioning portal uses ports 8905 and 8909 for posture assessments and remediation, which you cannot change. Otherwise, it uses the same ports assigned to the Guest portal.
You can also partition portal traffic to specific Gigabit Ethernet interfaces. For example, you might not want the Admin portal (which always uses GigabitEthernet 0) available on the same network as guest users or employee devices.
Step 1Choose Administration > Web Portal Management > Settings > General > Ports.
Step 2Enter the port value in the HTTPS Port field for each portal. By default, the Sponsor, Guest, My Devices portals use 8443, and the Blacklist portal uses port 8444.
Step 3Check the Gigabit Ethernet interfaces you want to enable for each portal.
Step 4Click Save.
If you have changed the port settings, all nodes (Administration, Policy Services, and Monitoring) restart automatically, which may take several hours to complete.
Tips for Assigning Ports and Ethernet Interfaces
•All port assignments must be between 8000-8999. This port range restriction is new in Cisco ISE 1.2. If you upgraded with port values outside this range, they are honored until you make any change to this page. If you make any change to this page, you must update the port setting to comply with this restriction.
•You must assign the Blacklist portal to use a different port than the other end-user portals.
•Any portals assigned to the same HTTPS port also use the same Ethernet interfaces. For example, if you assign both the Sponsor and My Devices portals to port 8443, and you disable GigabitEthernet 0 on the Sponsor portal, that interface is also automatically disabled for the My Devices portal.
•You must configure the Ethernet interfaces using IP addresses on different subnets. Refer to these guidelines to help you decide how best to assign ports and Ethernet interfaces to the end-user portals:
Specifying the Fully Qualified Domain Name for Sponsor and My Devices Portals
You can set the Sponsor and My Devices portals to use an easy-to-remember fully-qualified domain names (FQDN), such as: mydevices.companyname.com or sponsor.companyname.com. Alternatively, Cisco ISE also supports wildcard certificates to address certificate name mismatch issues. You must configure DNS to resolve to at least one policy services node. If you have more than one policy services node that will provide portal services, you should configure high availability for the portal. For example, you could use a load balancer or DNS round-robin services.
Before You Begin
Step 1Choose Administration > Web Portal Management > Settings > General > Ports.
Step 2Scroll to the Portal FQDNs section, and check the appropriate setting:
•Default Sponsor Portal FQDN
•Default My Devices Portal FQDN
Step 3Enter a fully qualified domain name.
Step 4Click Save, and all nodes (Administration, Policy Services, and Monitoring) restart automatically, which may take several hours to complete.
Step 5Configure the network DNS server so that it resolves the FQDN to the Sponsor or My Devices portal nodes. You must also update DNS to ensure the FQDN of the new URL resolves to a valid policy service node IP address. Additionally, to avoid certificate warning messages due to name mismatches, you should also include the FQDN of the customized URL in the subject alternative name (SAN) attribute of the local server certificate of the Cisco ISE policy service node.

• CM Services stand alone (Unknown session NWDI and grey components in NWDS)

Hello.
We are trying to configure NWDI in portal 7.3 using the following document http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-14706 however when Im trying the syncrhonize step (page 22) it shows me an error HTTP 400 Unknown session wherever I click in the sync page.
I dont know if it's because of this missing step but when I import this in NWDS the dependencies are empty and when I try to create a develpment it shows me greyed components with the mistake ( Software component does not support this development component type. Required DCs are located in an SC that is not visible from the selected one.). If any more information needed please ask me.
Thanks in advance.
Alex.

Thank you !!! it seems that is solved now, it shows me some components good to go, eventhe less When I try to create a Wevdynpro it says "Support component (ACH) for vendor ''sap_com'' is required" Could it be because of some missing DC ?
Great answer thank you !!https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1536755
BTW that note lead me to this other one where I found this part that made the trick
Note 1536755 - DC type is grayed out.
What can be done?
Check in SLD if references from the developed SC to the found required SCs
exist. Create them if they are missing. . Update the corresponding track in CMS
by first syncing current dependencies from SLD to CMS ("Update CMS" in CMS UI
Landscape Configurator - Domain Data) and then adapting the track in "Track
Data" by using "Synchronize SC Dependencies" - "Show Software Components out of
sync with SLD", select all SCs shown as out of sync and press "Accept SLD
Definition" and then save the track. Switch to Transport Studio in CMS WebUI
and check in and import the corresponding SCA files. After that update the
development configuration in NWDS.

• JSPM: NWDI-controlled SC in REVISE due to SC Version Error

Hello,
We are still very new to working with the J2EE Engine and NWDI, so naturally we are finding our way through our mistakes. We are in the process of implementing Enterprise Portal for ESS/MSS, and we have made some custom modifications to both of these components. We are using NWDI to control the modifications, and after some initial mis-steps, we think we now have a reasonable working landscape. However, we are now unable to apply support packages for ESS to our Test system.
We successfully applied sps8 for ESS/MSS/PCUI_GP/ASR and sps11 for NetWeaver to our Development system, using NWDI and NWDS to re-apply our modifications to ESS and MSS. The combined SP's and modifications went into DEV just fine, they imported into the CONS queue (no runtime system) fine, they assembled successfully, and now I am trying to import them into TEST using JSPM, but here is where the problem lies.
In the "Check Queue" phase of JSPM, the ESS component is in status REVISE, and the detail message says "New component sap.com/SAP_ESS with version 600.8.0 and provider JD1 does not cover existing component with version 600.7.2 and provider JD1." JD1 is our NWDI system/domain. I think the basic problem is that for whatever reason, our TEST system has ESS in version 600.7.2, whereas in DEV it was in 600.7.0 (prior to applying sp8), and I have no idea why there is a difference.
I have tried the import as a support package stack and as a collection of single support packages, but I get the same result.
The MSS component has no such issue. The status in Check Queue indicates that it has admitted our modification from the CMS track for deployment. The assembled directory contains files for MSS, ESS, PCUI_GP, and ASR, as expected.
The only thing I can think of is that prior to applying this sp stack, we had a misconfigured NWDI landscape (the transport directory was on the portal DEV server instead of the NWDI server, transports were variously held on the portal DEV server or the NWDI server depending on whether they were controlled by CMS, etc -- all of this is now fixed, but perhaps the damage is done), and the previous sp stack went into the systems prior to any modifications being done, it went in without NWDI control, and then modifications were transported into TEST separately. However, supposedly the DEV and TEST systems had the same versions prior to this sp stack being applied.
I know the documentation says that the component in the transdir must be replaced to fix the REVISE status, but we have nothing to replace it with. It IS the correct version. What I really need is a way to tell JSPM to ignore the version error and force the new (modified) component in, without losing the version history and track control in the CMS.
Any advice on how to proceed will be much appreciated. The NWDI and Portal are both NW04s release, and the NWDI is already at sps11.
Best regards,
Matt

We resolved this problem by undeploying all ESS components via SDM, then applying all the support packages to still-deployed components with JSPM, and then redeploying the new/modified ESS package via JSPM with the option of "New Software Components." I still don't know how the funny 7.2 sp.patch version number got there in the first place.

• IBM Cognos 8 BI Integration with Weblogic portal

Hi,
In our project we need to integrate IBM Cognos 8 BI portlets with Weblogic portal 10.3.
1. How to integrate Cognos ?
2. How to enable SSO between Portals & Cognos? Cognos should use the portal users credentials for authentication
Please share me some useful links and sample code to proceed.
Thanks & regards,
Rajesh

Basically I am saying that your options are
1. Screenscraping the apps into portlets
2. Using SSO to login to the apps, but keepin them separate
3. Using Web Services to consume parts of the apps and exposing those as portlets
For our application we do 2 and 3. In many cases we just create portlets that represents views into other j2ee apps. When the users click on something, we launch the j2ee app in a popup browser. The users are already signed on, and taken to a specific detail page, add page or something within the app directly.
Hope this helps.

• Portal Workprotect in Talent Profile - WebDynpro ABAP FPM application

We are trying to implement Workprotect in ESS - Talent Profile application (HRTMC_EMPLOYEE_PROFILE). The requirement is that when user had entered data in either Internal work experience, External Work experience or other tabs; before he has saved the data, if the user clicks on some other link in portal or try to close the window, Portal work protect that is enabled should prompt the user to save the data or risk losing data.
What has been done so far:
1. Enabled Workprotect on Portal:
Step 1: In the portal, go to System Administration -> System
Configuration -> Service Configuration.
Step 2: In the portal catalog, Select
application "com.sap.portal.epcf.loader" and open the properties for
service "epcfloader" for editing
Step 3: Set property workprotect.mode.default = 3
Step 4: Save -> Restart service
Now, Portal Work protect is enabled.
2. On the Talent application end, I have seen many posts in forum & FPM related workprotect documentation. But, it is not clear as to how this actually works when it comes to FPM application.
The documents says FPM allows application to make use of work protect
mode offered by Portal. To achieve this, the application must u2018tellu2019 the
FPM whether it contains unsaved
(u201Cdirtyu201D) data. For this, the FPM provides the Web Dynpro Interface
IF_FPM_WORK_PROTECTION. In the is dirty method, you have to put
METHOD is_dirty.
if * component contains unsaved data
ev_dirty = abap_true.
else.
ev_dirty = abap_false.
endif.
ENDMETHOD.
Questions:
1. If you see the shared application component HRTMC_TP_SHARED_DATA, it implements interface IF_FPM_WORK_PROTECTION. But, the isdirty method in the component controller has already existing code
METHOD is_dirty.
ev_dirty = wd_this->mv_is_dirty.
ENDMETHOD.
Where should we put the code given below as described in FPM documentation. In shared component or in individual components like HRTMC_TP_WORKEXP_INTERNAL, HRTMC_WORKEXP_INTERNAL, HRTMC_TP_EDUCATION
etc.
METHOD is_dirty.
if * component contains unsaved data
ev_dirty = abap_true.
else.
ev_dirty = abap_false.
endif.
ENDMETHOD.
And, the line "* component contains unsaved data" as described in document- how do we code this for talent profile considering that there are multiple components, shared component etc? My requirement is that if user has entered some data in any of the tabs like internal work experience, external work experience, then work protect should work if
user tries to navigate away or close browser.
2. If you see general documentation for Work protect and webdynpro (not for FPM), it says that the application must define a special status (dirty flag), which tells the portal when there is unsaved data. You can set and cancel this status (TRUE, FALSE) using method
SET_APPLICATION_DIRTY_FLAG in interface IF_WD_PORTAL_INTEGRATION.
And it goes on to say that one must set application flag dirty
SET_APPLICATION_DIRTY_FLAG
exporting
DIRTY_FLAG = TRUE | FALSE
and also set work protect mode
call method L_PORTAL_MANAGER->SET_WORK_PROTECT_MODE
exporting
MODE = NONE | APPLICATION_ONLY | BOTH
3. Which is the correct way to enable Work protect in case of Talent profile applications? Which method of which component should should we add code to? Which of the above ways should we follow ( Interface IF_FPM_WORK_PROTECTION or IF_WD_PORTAL_INTEGRATION) ? Which component and which method should we Set Work protect and Set isdirty
Please advise.

Hi Experts,
Can you please provide some useful info in implementing work protect in Standard FPM WebDynpro ABAP applications? In this case, as mentioned above, the application is ESS Talent Profile application (HRTMC_EMPLOYEE_PROFILE).
Thanks,
Sandeep

• Wireless Guest Portal with Device registration

Hi,
I have configured the ISE for wireless guest authentication. Once i got the guest portal and enter usernam/password, it redirecting to Self Provisioning portal for Device Registration. (attached)
I have unchecked the option "enable my device portal" under My Device-->Portal configuraiton (attached)
Can someone please advise, why I'm still getting Self provisioning portal, although I might need this later for On-board provisioning, at this time I just want guest user authentication and allow access to internet.
Thanks in advance.

I think you should disable in the DefaultGuestPortal (Administration >> Web Portal Management >> Settings >> Guest >> Multi-Portal Configurations >> DefaultGuestPortal >> Operations .... Uncheck the option Enable Self-Provisioning Flow

• Guest Portal Access using ISE

I’m having an issue setting up the Guest Port Access for our wireless network.
I’m trying to setup an SSID anchored in the DMZ for internet access only. The authentication to this would be granted via the ISE Guest Access Portal.
I’ve got the SSID created and tested working with no authentication.
When I enable the Guest Portal (per these instructions http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps10315/products_tech_note09186a0080bba10d.shtml), I can login and create a guest account. Have the guest go to the portal, login, hit ‘I accept’, but then instead of redirecting them to whatever page they tried to access, it sends them back to the guest login page (with still no access to the network resources).
Am I missing a simple setting somewhere? Please let me know if this should be reposted in the security/ISE forum instead of here.

Hi,
> 1. If i go with same backend ECC 6 Ehp 4 with Portal 7.3, than what are all the BP's that i have to deploy?
BP's depends upon what all functionality you want to use. e.g If you are using ESS/MSS then you need to deploy BP's for ESS/MSS.
> 2. Can i go with same Business packages those i am using currently with Portal 7.01?
You should install latest version of BP's on NW 7.3 like for ESS/MSS latest version is 1.51.
> 3. How to migrate my ESS and MSS apps (customized apps NWDI )from Portal 7.01 to 7.3
You need to migrate all these customization manually as PAR files are not more supported for NW 7.3.
> 4. in future if we upgarde our backend to EHP 5 than what happens to WD java Application. i come to know that ESS application are totally built on WD ABAP for EHP5
>
It depends upon you. If you want to use ESS/MSS for web dynpro ABAP then you need to install BP of ESS for web dynpro ABAP but if you don't want to use web dynpro then you can use same way as you are doing currently.
Check SAP Note 1450179 - ESS Based on Web Dynpro ABAP Available.

Hi,
I would like to get all my mails in portal. I m using my own mail server. V r not using either Exchange server or lotus server. Our local server v r using for mail communication. How can i configure this mail box to my portal. so that i get all my mails in portal itself,
and also one more doubt, how can i set session timeout to portal,.so that if i dont use portal for sme time, it should automatically log-off.
thanks & regards

Hi ,
You should integrate your portal with your local mail server ( sso confuguration also needed).

Hello-
You can set the session timeout of the portal in EP6 SP2 by going to System Administration --> System Configuration --> UM Configuration --> Security Settings.
Here you will find the Lifetime of the SAP Logon Ticket. If this would expire on a user, the next time he/she would click on a link they would be informed their ticket has expired and please login again.
Your backend sessions would be handled automatically by the systems themselves.
The other option would be to put some Javascript code in the default framework page that would call the portal logout function after a certain amount of time. (This would also handle a backend system logout if the SAP transaction was visible and you had DSM termination enabled because the portal frame would change
put life time of logon ticket as the idle time u needed
