Enabling/Disabling of stop button for Tomcat in MyEclipse in Run mode.

Hi,
I am very perplexed by the behavior of the Server option in MyEclipse 4.1.1 over Eclipse 3.1.2 using Tomcat 5.5.17.
When I start the server in Debug mode, the behavior is just fine. i.e. the stop button/option gets enabled and the Start button/option gets disabled when I start the Tomcat server.
But in the Run mode, the Start option does not get disabled and the Stop option does not get enabled when I start the server, so I have to guess/rely on the console to see if an instance is already running.
If anyone is having the same issue/behavior, and did something to correct it, please respond or point me in the right direction.
I have already:
1) Downloaded a new instance of both Eclipse and MyEclipse
2) Created the whole workspace again after deleting the .metadata
3) Tomcat is a part of our configuration management software so everyone uses the same version.

Hi Sumit,
just add one more attribute of type wdy_boolean, and bind this attribute to readonly property of button by coding.
then as per your cell value set the attribute value, below is the some sample code.
METHOD wddoinit .
  DATA: lv_node TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_node,
        lt_mara TYPE ig_componentcontroller=>elements_mara,
        wa_mara TYPE ig_componentcontroller=>element_mara.
  SELECT matnr
         ersda
         ernam
         mtart
         matkl
         meins FROM mara INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE lt_mara
                                 WHERE meins = 'GM' OR meins = 'CCM'.
  SORT lt_mara BY meins.
  lv_node = wd_context->get_child_node( name = wd_this->wdctx_mara ).
  LOOP AT lt_mara INTO wa_mara.
    IF wa_mara-meins = 'GM'.
      wa_mara-readonly = 'X'.
    ELSE.
      wa_mara-readonly = ' '.
    ENDIF.
    MODIFY lt_mara FROM wa_mara TRANSPORTING readonly.
    lv_node->bind_structure(  SET_INITIAL_ELEMENTS = ABAP_FALSE
                              new_item = wa_mara ).
  ENDLOOP.
  lv_node->bind_table( new_items = lt_mara ).
ENDMETHOD.

  • How do i disable a stop button within an event

    Using LabView 8.6 I'd like to disable my vi's stop button so the user can't stop the vi unless the network application is in the correct mode of operation.
    I only want the user to be able to stop the vi when it is ok to do so. What I tried works to prevent the stop button from operating at the wrong time but the vi does not always stop and I have to force the vi to stop.
    My event structure handles all the buttons and inputs for my vi. The event structure is within the while loop that generates commands for the network application when I click on one of the buttons or enter a value into a input field. Another while loop is reading data from the network application and displaying the data on the vi. I used a "Stop" local value to stop the display while loop.
    How am I supposed to disable the stop button but have my vi stop when it is ok to do so in the correct way?

    OK I'll try to handle this point by point.
    Q1, what gets wired to the "SilentShutdown" & "Discard?" when using "Application Instance Close?"
    A1 Wire a TRUE to Discard?  That's the only thing that event case needs if the Stop condition output is default if unwired "F"
    REASON you had a problem" it makes not sense to wire the same value to both Discard? and Silent Shutdown?  (Or even use both)  Discard in Filter events is used to "Trap" the event and decide if the app really wants to process it so discarding an app close removes the event and the OS wont process it.  Silient Shutdown? does just about the opposite an tru hear means "Shut down the app without any normal user prompts" Wiring them both T or F would trigger either allowing the app close event to process normally or triggering a application shutdown.
    COMMENT:  I've tried various combinations of nothing & true/false but clicking on the "Windows Red X" still closes the window (as far as I know no one has ever clicked the windows close, but the "Stop" button has been clicked a number of times by mistake)
    RESPONSE: Ah! You have "Trained" LabVIEW users!  They have been burned so often by LabVIEW code that they expect it to misbehave and don't even think about trying to "Close" a LabVIEW window.  In decades past the event structure did not exist in LabVIEW and so the only way to prevent the app close event from firing was "User Training."  There are better practices available now.
    Q2: If I get the previous suggestion to work and follow the next suggestion (Rip off the abort button), I won't be able to ever stop the vi when it hangs. It still does that sometimes. In my actual vi I'm still getting the hangs.
    Amplifications:
    if the vi stops[,] the network communication & control to the network application is lost.
    then the only way to stop this applications[external app on another processor] is with "^C" in the Putty window.
    A2: You've got the tail wagging the cart before the dog-horse!  BOTH application need to be rethought in such a manner as they can be independantly controlled.  But, this is a LabVIEW forum so I expect that your scope of work is to get the LabVIEW side working in a dignified manner- let's concentrate on that.  PuTTY windows and Task Managers are not evil - for debugging and integration.  especially when integrating multiple processes that may not yet be "Mature".  but a quick VISA write "^C" in your shutdown code might make the other application tolerable
    Q3hould I use a "Flat" or "Stacked" sequence to control the order of execution within the "data" loop?
    A3: NEITHER.  You should do a quick forum search for Queued State Machine or Queued Message Handler (QSM and QMH) after looking at the help for the QSM Sample Project (LabVIEW 2012 or later) the Shipping examples are a good place to start but! many discussion threads have questioned the example's exit practice and offered some alternate examples.

    Aperture 3 shuts down every time I try to use it after only using it for one minute. Aperture closes then a pop up screen asks if I want to reopen Aperture. If somrone at Aperture didn't keep pushing a stop button for it to close,Apple wouldn't need to ask the stupid question"Do you want to reopen Aperture?" to begin with. Anyone out there having the same annoying problem?? I like Aperture or used to anyway,but if this nonsense continues, I will be forced to buy some other editor besides "No hanging fruit - Adobe photoshop CS5" or "I don't like you so I'm shutting down - Aperture".

    Hello,
    sorry to hear about your troubles, but we will need to have more technical information about your problem to be able to help you:
    There may be several reasons that can cause Aperture to crash on start up:
    You may have imported an image (or video) in an encoding that Aperture does not support, or that is larger than 2 GB, or that is corrupted and Aperture cannot process it
    Your Aperture Library or Preferences may have been corrupted
    Or you are having a system wide problem with your machine.
    Or you may simple be running out of disk space.
    It would help, if you could post the crash log from your last crash. Also, more details on your Aperture Library: Is it managed or references? how large is it? Is it on your system drive or on an external drive?
    What have you done, shortly before the trouble started? Have you imported new images or videos? Did you install any plug-ins or any new software, lile Final Cut?
    Try, if you can get Aperture to launch, if you defer the generation of Previews: Hold down the SHIFT-key immediately after you start Aperture to prevent preview generation for that session. If a damaged image in your library is preventing normal opening, this may allow you to start Aperture. If this succeeds, try to identify the broken image or video among the images you recently imported and remove it from the library.

  • Where did the "Stop" button go on the Navigation Bar in ff4? It isn't included in the Customize box. Is there anyway to install the "Stop" button for loading web pages or is this option compeletly gone from Firefox now?

    Just installed upgrade to Firefox 4.0. Where did the "Stop" button go on the Navigation Bar. I checked the Customize dialogue box and it isn't included. Is anyone else missing it? Is there anyway to install the "Stop" button for loading web pages or is this option completely gone from Firefox now? It was a very helpful button and allowed us users to stop a web page and move on if it wasn't what we needed.

    In Firefox 4 by default the Stop, Go and Reload buttons are combined and attached to the right hand edge of the location bar.
    When you are typing in the location bar it will show the Go button. When a site is loading it shows the Stop button. At other times it shows the Reload button.
    If you want separate buttons, right-click on a toolbar and choose Customize, you can then drag and drop the stop or reload buttons and place them elsewhere. If you place them in the order "Reload-Stop" on the right hand edge of the location bar they will be combined again. For more details on customizing the toolbar see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/How+to+customize+the+toolbar

  • Enable/disable problem with button on table toolbar

    Hello *,
    In my WD (ABAP) application, on a view I have a table, a toolbar within it and buttons on the toolbar. I am trying to control 'enable' property of one button, binding it to an attribute in view's context.
    When I do this trick just for any button on the view which is not on the toolbar, it works just fine. But when the button is placed on table's toolbar - it just stays disabled all the time.
    Normally I bind enable property to an attribute in the <b>root</b> node. When I change attribute value, the 'normal' button responds correctly (getting enabled or disabled), but the <u>table toolbar button</u> <b>does not</b>. I start wondering if table controls (like toolbar and its buttons) has something to do with a node the table is bound to?
    Any comments about special features of toolbar and its buttons being placed in a table?
    Thanks!

    Looks like a bug to me. There is nothing special with toolbar buttons vs. "normal" buttons (at least not in Web Dynpro Java).

  • How can I control the enable/disable of command buttons in ADF JSF

    I have been having a great deal of trouble trying to work out how to control the command button such that if the rowset is null then the button is disabled. The trick is that the rowset is not defined by the view where the command button is located. The rowset is defined by a view which has a "view" command button which displays the specific row selected, then this view has a command button that will display the detail rowset of the selected master row, but if there are no detail records I want the button to be disabled. How can I do this in ADF JSF? If I use a backing bean to make the determination prior to the page rendering then how does the backing mean method set the parameter necessary to disable the command button? Any advice or tutorial that I can use is most appreciated. My goal with using ADF JSF effort was to demonstrate that a complex app could be generated with minimum coding, I would like to keep to this concept if possible. Thanks,
    Michael

    Hi Michael,
    You can probably set the Enabled property of the command button using an EL that would evaluate and return true or false based on your requirement.
    Check out these links for more information on using the EL.

  • How do I create a start/stop button for each separate while loop within my program, when each of them does a different task?

    I have a multimeter VI with separate while loops to accomplish the different tasks of reading  voltage, current, etc. Each while loop has a stop button, but I need a button that will have to be pressed in order for the while loop to even start. I tried putting another while loop around the present one, but it still has to run once before it will stop. I want the user to have to press the button before it runs, because they interfere with each other.
    I am just learning so patience and your kind assistance is greatly appreciated!

    I have to ask, why is an NI employee using examples using sequence frames? The same thing could be accomplished using data flow by simply wiring the value of the first stop button out of teh first while loop and connecting it to the second loop. This would then use data flow to control the sequence. Why show new users bad programming methods?
    As to the original question I would concur with altenbach on using an event structure.

  • How to disable the Save button For a pdf?

    Hi,
    I have a requirement that when you open the livecycle developed pdf, the Save option available in the toolbar (Save As icon) and File menu of the Reader should be disabled. A button will be provided in the form separately to provide the Save functionality. Can anybody help me reg. this? Is there any setting available for this in Adobe Pro or any other tool?
    Regards,
    Maria

    It's not really difficult to disable the save button. But it depends on the context from where you want to delete it. even if you disable the save button the user has the option to print screen and create a fresh pdf. So your question has some philosophical aspects to deal with. Please mail me at [email protected] incase of further quries. I've understood your problem and have got a solution but it's not somewhat legitimate to do. I can share it with you through email.

  • How to enable /disable a command Button based on a table's selectOne choice

    Hi everyone.
    I am using JDeveloper 10.1.3.3 and wish to enable / disable a commandButton based on the user's selection of the selectOne radio button.
    The idea is that a row of a table may have an associated document so I want to enable or disable the button that downloads it based n the current row selected.
    I have followed the advice on problem with table I defined my selectOne component as follows :
    <af:tableSelectOne text="#{res['tables.selectionFacet.title']}"
        autoSubmit="true"
        attributeChangeListener="#{backing_browseCVs.onSelectionChange}">The function inside the backing bean looks like this
        public void onSelectionChange(AttributeChangeEvent attributeChangeEvent)
            // access the faces context
            FacesContext fc = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
            // get value of the expression #{row.hasCVDocument} that indicates
            // if a document has been added
            ValueBinding vb =
                fc.getApplication().createValueBinding("#{row.hasCVDocument}");
            Boolean hasDoc = (Boolean)vb.getValue(fc);
            // enable the doownload button accordingly
            downloadCVDocBtn.setDisabled(!hasDoc);
        }My problem is that the method never fires. I have placed a breakpoint at the first line but it is never reached.
    Any advice will be most welcome.
    Thanassis

    Hi,
    You might need to add 'dataProvider' part in the expression language in your selectionListener:
    #{bindings.CVList.currentRow.[b]dataProvider.hasCVDocument}
    #{bindings.CVList.currentRow} returns an instance of ViewRowImpl which does not have 'getHasCVDocument()' method, but does have:
    Object getCurrentRow()
    method, which returns objects from your CVList list, which do have getHasCVDocument() method...
    Expression language is resolved through reflection, so when you write:
    #{processScope.someClass.someReferencedClass.someAttribute} it is something like:
    Get someClass from processScope map, then:
    someClass.getSomeReferencedClass().getSomeAttribute()
    It's a bit more complex but you get the idea.

  • Single start/stop button for looping movie

    Dear Friends,
    I apologize if this has been addressed already in the forum, as I have had no luck searching here or the web in general for a solution.
    I currently have a 23-frame multilayered single-scene animation designed to loop continuously which I would like to add to my portfolio. As such, I am adding a Play button, which I would like to toggle to a Stop (or Pause) button. I currently have an instance of the Play button ("playButton") created.
    (You can find this at pineboxmovingco.com/gear_redux.swf)
    Besides imploring your assistance in providing the code, I must also ask if this requires (and best practice for) inserting an additional frame at the beginning for the ActionScript, as well as where/what layer to add an instance of the Stop button. I would like the movie to be stopped by default, presenting the Play button, toggling to the Stop button, and back to the Play button, each upon release.
    Thank you so much in advance!

    So, Ned, insert the stop(); command - with no other code - on each keyframe of the MC like so:
    Then, return to Scene 1 and select the MC, inserting the code:
    With an additional "stop" command in the first frame:
    I must be missing something as it is continues to loop. Any further assistance would be greatly appreciated...

  • Stop button for soundboard

    I need help making a stop all sounds button for my
    soundboard, can somebody give me a step by step please.

    At the risk of sounding preachy I will say you should forget about the stacked sequence structure. Pretend it is not even there. The flat version has some uses such as when benchmarking code but the stacked one with sequence locals is completely wrong for any application. Just a word of advice and if your existing program does what it needs to do there is not really any reason to change it. But if you plan on significantly expanding it or if you develop a new program then get the stacked sequence structure out of your mind.
    Use state machines instead. There are plenty of examples all over the forums. They are just a while loop with a case structure and at least one shift register. I think you understand case structures and while loops so the only other thing you need to know about is the shift register. With these three concepts understood it is easy to create state machines in LabVIEW. They will make your life so much easier.
