Enabling HTTPS for gatewayed requests

Hi,
We wanted to find out if there is a way we can enable HTTPS for ALUI portal based on the URL pattern for the gatewayed requests. For example, the two links below have a different ending URL pattern "ABC" vs "DEF". Can we enable HTTPS for only the requests that end with "DEF"?
http://<HOST_NAME>/portal/server.pt/gateway/PTARGS_0_3159_12576_1962_0_43/<HOST_NAME>/<APP1_NAME>/a.htm?action=onLoadABC
http://<HOST_NAME>/portal/server.pt/gateway/PTARGS_0_3159_12576_1962_0_43/<HOST_NAME>/<APP2_NAME>/a.htm?action=onLoadDEF
Thanks.

This is a kind of workaround.
You can try to add your https url (or better some pattern) under "HTTP Configuration", this mean that only url's matched to this pattern will be protected. Then in your source code using transformURL function point to protected resource, this should solve your question.

  • How to enable https for a single webapp in tomcat 5.5 ?

    Hi ,
I want to enable https for my web app in Tomcat 5.5(with JDK 1.5, in WinXP) without affecting other webapps running in the same server . Any idea how to do it ? Pl. note , I dont want to make the entire tomcat as SSL enabled.

You specify SSL in web.xml of your application. So, in that case other web applications in same server would not be affected.

  • Enabling SSL for HTTP Sender Adapter

    Hi Experts,
I'd like to have a step by step process in enabling HTTPS for Plain_HTTP Sender Adapter. I've already read the enabling HTTPS on SAP Help, but it does not provide much detail. Would the steps be the same for enabling HTTPS for Plain_HTTP Receiver which are:
    1. Install the certificates using STRUST
    2. Configure an RFC Destination using SM59
    3. Call your RFC Destination in Receiver HTTP Adapter (not valid for http sender adapter)
The connection for setting up http is http://<hostname>:port/<path>?<query string>
but what about https? Would it be connecting to the webdispatcher first?
    Hope you can help me,
    Regards,

    Hi,
as HTTP Adapter is on ABAB stack you will need to configure with STRUST.

  • How to enable SSL for policy service?

    Hi all,
My application is using SunONE's C API to communicate with the Identity Server.
In order to enable SSL, I have changed the following lines in amconfig.properties:
    com.sun.am.namingURL = https://id01.core.development.net:443/amserver/namingservice
    com.sun.am.policy.am.loginURL = https://id01.core.development.net:443/amserver/UI/Login
    com.sun.am.policy.am.library.loginURL = https://id01.core.development.net:443/amserver/UI/Login
After operating these changes, everything continued to work fine...but then, I checked with a network sniffer what data is being sent to IS:
    - The login and naming data were over SSL
    - Policy and session items were plain HTTP
    My questions are:
    1. How to enable SSL for policy evaluation requests?
    2. How to enable SSL for sessionservice requests?
    3. What are the changes required on the server/client?
    Many thanks,

  • First call attempt fails with 12000; reason="Routes available for this request but no available gateway at this point"

We've installed a new Audiocodes Mediant 1000B gateway for our customer.  They only have about 6 users enabled for Enterprise voice and using Lync for all calls.  They have an intermittent problem whereby the first call attempt to a number on the
PSTN fails with 12000; reason="Routes available for this request but no available gateway at this point".  There is only one PSTN gateway installed.  All routes point to this gateway.  What I found initially is that the calls
were failing after 10 seconds which is the default "failovertimeout" in the OutboundRouting.exe.config.  I found this post http://voipnorm.blogspot.co.uk/2012/06/lync-2010-gateway-timeout-call-failures.html and
changed the value to 20 seconds.  Subsequent failures failed after 20 seconds (the new value).  The interesting thing is that the second attempt even a couple of seconds later succeeds.  My Lync server event log has 46046 "A call to a PSTN
number failed due to non availability of gateways." for the failed call and 46047 "A PBX gateway is now responding to requests after some failures." for the successful call moments later.
My environment is Lync 2010.  A single enterprise edition Front End with collocated mediation.  The server is virtual and in a different physical location to the gateway.  The two sites are connected via a LES1000.  The RTT between the
sites is very low so it isn't necessarily networking.
In the Syslog output on the Audiocodes we don't see the call even reach the gateway.  It's likely that Lync has simply marked the gateway as down and doesn't route the first call.  Then it wakes up and marks it as up and routes the next call.
Update wise I'm on 4.0.7577.183, 199 and 217 for those that are up to date and the only components that are behind say that 223 is available.  Those being Core Components, Lync Server, Conferencing Server and Web Components.
As I said, this is intermittent, apparently doesn't happen for every user (which I don't buy), but is easily replicated on request.
I definitely think changing the failovertimeout value has reduced the number of failures.  But realistically I don't want users sitting there for 20 seconds before their call fails.  Or 19 seconds for the call to route.
I've found a few posts on this and similar issues.  I don't get the 25051 or 25052 errors.
    Any help gratefully appreciated.

  • Request and Reponse Pipelines for Gateway

I had posted this in SOA Suite forum, but as it is web service related, I hope that I can get an answer on it here:
I understand the meaning of request and response pipelines for client and server Agents but I am not sure I know the same for Gateways.
Suppose that I have service A and service B and both are registered with this gateway.
Does request pipeline executes when service A is called? what about when service A makes a request to service B (calls it) ? (how can I simulate the work of a client agent with gateway here?)
    Regards
    Farbod

When you register the service A and Service B with the Gateway, the actual URL will now be X and Y
    i.e. something like
    http://myservice.com/Gateway/SID00234?WSDL
    (which could map to /Service/A.asmx?WSDL)
Now when you invoke the service you are actually invoking the URL that teh gateway provided (acting as Reverse Proxy).
In your code, when Service A is making a call to Service B, you actually should change the URL to point to the one in Gateway i.e /SID00235?WSDL)
As far as your question on simulating gateway, let me take a shot at that.
The purpose of Client agent gateway is to set the security headers (UserNametoken, etc) by the Client Application so that when the service receives that you can validate the credentials.
Let me walk through the steps.
Assume you have ServiceA - ServiceA.asmx?WSDL
You register the service in Gateway - new URL will be SID00342?WSDL
You set the policy to validate the credentials that will set by your Client Agent.
Lets assume you want to validate Signature and you will configure policy to validate Signature.
Now at your client application you would use Client Agent to Generate the signature.
Instead of Client Agent what you can do is,
Register the SID00342?WSDL in gateway again
This will generate a new URL - SID00343?WSDL
Apply the Policy here, in the Request pipeline
you can add step to Generate signature
Now when you invoke this new service from the TOols/Test page,
    SID00343
You will see in the log, that SID00343 generated Signature
on SID00342 log you will see it accepted messagae with Signature and then will validate the signature.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks
    Ram

Hi Thanks for your fast replies.
The Provider of the Endpoint tells me that he needs text/xml as content-type. When I sent a message to the given Endpoint via SOAP UI I can see in the HTTP LOG of SOAP UI that the Endpoint is also sending text/xml back.

What i am missing is a hint on the Message Transform Bean and a on a successfull sending process.
    What i also tried already:
i also activated the checkbox "Do not use SOAP Envelop" in CommChan Configuration. The Result you see below (the last log entry is on first line - so read from bottom to top)
Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION - HTTP 400 Bad Request
    error in response
    call completed
    request entering
    Message processing started
As you can see there is a "call completed" and "error in response" log entry. This is missing in in the first Log. So i guess the error is still in the sending process.
Installing additional Software on the PI and use them to find out what the HTTP Request is is not possible as system access is very strict and limited :/

  • Adding custom http headers for WSRP requests

    Hello,
I wonder whether it is possible to insert custom http headers for WSRP
    requests?
    To give more details:
We are going to have portlets exposed via WSRP (hosted on non-weblogic
server). We need these portlets to work on different portals including
WebLogic Portal. And we need to have working SSO. There needed at least
    2 SSO options:
    1. Having SiteMinder protected portal. Will WebLogic pass SiteMinder
    headers further to WSRP producer?
    2. Custom SSO tokens to be passed as http headers. Is it possible to
make weblogic to add custom http headers when calling producer?
2a. Credential mapping shall be used to get username/password for
