English reviews in non English app stores

In the past it was possible to see the English / American reviews in non-English app stores. It would be more than nice to get that ability back. In small countries there are often not that many reviews and also English speaking people in non-English countries should be able to read reviews.

Are you referring to the Customer Reviews? iTunes doesn't distinguish which language is used by the customer in writing the review so it can't filter out those you don't want to see. In fact someone could write one review and use many languages in it, but it seems those that speak German are the most vocal in the Swiss store.
This is also a user forum. Responses are from other users of Apple products. It is mainly for other users helping you with a problem that they can fix. If you want to give feedback to Apple select Provide iTunes Feedback from the iTunes menu from within the iTunes application.

As far as I know the language of the two stores on the iPad (iTunes and the App Store) can't be changed - they should be in the language of the country where your account is based (if they aren't correct then try logging out of your account by tapping on your id in Settings > Store and then log back in).

Updating non-mac app store apps

I got my pages mac app from school, which I downloaded from my schools website. Since mountain lion, I can't update the app since it's not from mac app store. What can I do?

I do not speak English very well, however, I do write in English with the aid of the Mac OS X spelling and grammar checks. I also live in a culture perhaps very very different from your own. When offering advice in the ASC, my comments are not meant to be anything more than helpful and certainly not to be taken as insults.
If the app can't be updated through Software Update, then I would contact the school for instructions.

No reviews in iOS 7 App Store.

Maybe I'm the only one, but I generally check reviews on new app versions before downloading updates. In iOS 7, you can no longer see current reviews from the updates screen in App Store. Is there any workaround for this?

You're certainly not the only one.
I've had to resort to checking what apps need updating in the update tab, then going to the purchased apps tab and accessing the reviews from there - a painfully slow process. However, I've been burnt too many times to ever update an app without first reading the reviews.
Hopefully reviews will reappear soon, or an update indictator will appear next to apps in the 'purchased' tab.

Why isn't my review appearing in the App Store?

I've been trying to write (and re-submit, wondering if something went wrong in the process several times) a (scathing) review for Ulysses III for the past few weeks, and while I see new reviews appearing for the app and I'm able to submit (and edit) my reviews for other apps, it isn't working for this particular app. In fact, I was quite frustrated the first few times as I first ran into this problem while trying to edit a review that I wrote for it that I thought was properly posted only to be greeted with completely blank text boxes upon clicking "Write A Review." (Because of this, I've started the habit of copying/saving the reviews I write for apps. Very frustrating.)
Why isn't this working? I spent $45 on this app that does not handle large documents well and would like others to know that very badly so they don't do the same if they plan on writing manuscripts—which is, as I learned tonight (and thus was reminded about this whole thing), what this particular app is being advertised for in the App Store.

Cant review Mountain Lion on App Store since my computer came with it?

I want to be able to review mountain lion but it says you need to purchase this before you can write a review. Is there no way I can possibly review it since my computer came with mountain lion?

Not that I know of, no. That's the way the Mac App Store works.
There are some apps I've purchased outside the MAS; I can't review them on the MAS either because I didn't purchase them there.

purchased apps and music are forever associated with the itunes account/ID that was used when the purchase was made. If you change ID on a device, then you'll get the prompts because the apps are from a different ID.
Either put up with this, or (using the ID that you want to use in the future) buy the items again.
As for the account (itunes or icloud) that a device is currently using, go to Settings>icloud, scroll to bottom of screen and tap Delete Account then enter a different account if that's what you want.
For itunes, go to Settings>itunes & apps Stores, tap the account name on the next page, then choose log off (or whatever the option is called). Like icloud, you can then log into a different itunes store account.

How provide reviews and ratings in App Store?

I have an application I bought on my iPod. I want to go back in and create a review and rate the app but when I look at the app page in iTunes I cannot edit my rating stars and when I select write a review nothing happens.
Following instructions found elsewhere does not work.
Any suggestions?

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions. To do this, click here and pick a method; if that page doesn't list one for your country or you're unable to call, fill out and submit this form.

Your account is in the Spanish store (if you are in Spain then you can only use the Spanish store) ? The credit card that you use (I don't think that debit cards are still accepted) will need to be registered to exactly the same name and address (including format and spacing etc) that you have on your iTunes account and be issued by a Spanish bank. If it your card meets that and is being declined then you could check with the card issuer to see if it's them that are declining it, and if not then try contacting iTunes support and see if they know why it's being declined : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

Is there a way to view all of my reviews in the iOS App Store in one place, or even just to tell which apps I've reviewed and which I haven't?

The title pretty much covers it. I'd like to be able to tell which apps I've already reviewed, and which I haven't, so that I can review apps I haven't yet. I'd also like to be able to read reviews I've already posted so that I can post follow-ups if my opinions have changed with further use of the app. Any ideas? Thanks!

You can do this in iTunes on your computer, click on iTunes Store > click Account > click Manage next to Reviews and Ratings.

How to submit request with default language as 'American English' in other non-english language sessions.

Dear All,
I found the solution for the above function.
In the same function I removed the static arabic values replacing with code values from the value set.
In my scenario there is a value set where some of these values exists, and other we can add there.
Kindly let me know if someone was successful by using the arabic text in the coding and defaulting the language in conc prog as English.

Want to see English app store reviews again

In the past you could (only) see English reviews in the iOS app store even if you were in the national (in my case Danish app store). Now it is ONLY possible to se Danish reviews, which are very few (with a population of 6 Mio people). Is it not possible to see English reviews in some way (again)? Please if there is a fix or Apple - please fix it

ITunes will not open on my iPod touch - jumps to App Store review page

When I open iTunes on my 8gb iPod touch, it starts to load (you can see the 'music', 'video' 'search' etc options at the bottom) but before anything actually loads, the screen closes, and then re-opens always on an Angry Birds review page in the App Store. I can navigate away from this page to other areas in the Apps Store, but it is always the same when i try to launch iTunes.
I have double checked my iTunes on my computer (PC - running XP)and i am running 9.2.1.5 so i believe i am up to date. I can sync no problem on my computer and can see everything in iTunes when i'm connected to it. Oh, and iTunes tells me my iPod software is up to date.
I am hoping there is something i can try before having to revert back to factory settings. I have only had the iPod about 2 weeks. And i have tried shutting it off, turning it on, etc.

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

ITunes app redirection to review in app store

Anyone else having a problem with iTunes redirecting you to a submit a review screen in the app store? Went ahead and submitted a review, but no luck. Did a hard reset and still no luck. By the comments on the review page, it appears I am not the only one running into this. The app asking for the review looks to be Cat in the Hat. Would appreciate any input on how to solve. I had the same issue for the past few weeks and with the help of Apple support have definitively fixed the issue. Here's what worked for my iPad.
1) be sure to sync so all apps and purchases are in your iTunes.
2) select restore - doing so you have to confirm that you want to return to factory settings and wipe all your data
3) when the iPad comes back life you will find iTunes working again - but without any of your stuff
4) then SYNC again. This is the most important step and why I couldn't make it work with Apple's help. ITunes will give you the option to sync or restore your data. Be sure to choose sync. What is causing the issue is some corruption in your data and restoring also restores the problem. Syncing however handles things differently and the net is you have all your stuff back clean and, for me, problem solved.
