Enhancement trouble

Kodo newbie seeks explanation of exception occurring during
enhancement. My 'package.jdo' contains mappings for a dozen or so
classes to an existing schema. Most of the classes contain no JDO code
and get enhanced with no problem. Two of the classes are intended for
readonly use; they're sort-of-singletons that initialize all allowable
instances of themselves from storage at class load time. The only
thing that differentiates these classes from the others is their
initialization code. When I run the enhancer over these classes, I get
the following exception:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: The
specified class "com.commercehub.
carrier.ServiceLevel" could not be loaded. null
at
com.techtrader.modules.tools.compiler.ClassArgParser.parseClasses(ClassArgParser.java:65)
at
com.techtrader.modules.jdo.enhance.JDOEnhancer.main(JDOEnhancer.java:80)
Here's the method that contains JDO code: (The JDOFactory mentioned in
the code is the same one distributed with the Kodo tutorials.)
private static void allInstances() {
PersistenceManager pm = JDOFactory.getPersistenceManager();
Extent cln = pm.getExtent( ServiceLevel.class, false );
Query qry = pm.newQuery( ServiceLevel.class, cln );
Collection results = (Collection) qry.execute();
Iterator it = results.iterator();
while (it.hasNext()) {
ServiceLevel nextType = (ServiceLevel) it.next();
String key = nextType.getCarrierString() +
nextType.getCode();
cache.put( key, nextType );
Could I impose on someone with source code to look at the line in
question and suggest what might be failing?
Thanks,
jp

  • Having trouble with enhanced podcasts, Can anyone help me adjust my iPod?

    Whenever I listen to my enhanced podcasts through iTunes, I have no problems viewing the photos the podcaster included in the program. However, when I play the same podcast in my iPod, the photos will not show. I only see the timeline with the little segments that represent the chapters. I can hit the forward and back arrows and I am taken the to the next chapter marker. But, unfortunately, I do not see the photos, as I do see them in iTunes.
    Can anyone help me adjust my iPod to enable it to play enhanced podcasts correctly?
    According to the iPod manuals, I should be able to see enhanced podcasts with no trouble.
    Thanks.

    I have solved it myself. Here's how I did it:
    In iTunes, go to Edit and click to Show Art Work and leave it as "Hide Art Work." (Now it will download the enhanced messages.)
    Now go to the iPod: From the Main Menu, go to Settings. At the Settings, go to the other Main Menu. From this Main Menu, go to Music and make sure that the following are on:
    Playlists, Photos, and Photo Import, Videos, and Extras.
    Good Luck.

  • Troubled over "enhance" function

    I always try the iPhoto auto enhance function with a "ok,what do you expect"-sort of attitude - until using the enhance function in Pages/keynote - colors suddenly perfect, picture just right.
    This troubles me - am I missing something? Or did Apple integrate a far better enhancement into iWork than into iPhoto?

    The Enhance function can only be used on the Keyfigures that are stored in the data target.
    So one option, create the keyfigure the one which you wanted as calculated keyfigure at report level and try using the same.
    Hope this suggestion help.

  • Are you having trouble with Dictation Enhanced? See below for a fix.

    HenryMore
    If Dictation Enhanced software does not seem to be onboard disconnect ethernet. Then go somewhere to dictate. If the software is installed you will be able to Dictate without being hooked up on the web. You have the software already. Maybe it downloaded when you installed Mavericks. If you did not have the enhanced dictation software you would not be able to dictate.

    Hi Ned,
    I "own" CS and subscribe to CC photography bundle on acrobat pro.  The problem is that the website puts me into an infinite loop with no hope of getting the "deal" for CS "owners ".
    Btw, this new subscription model is great for Adobe, but probably not so much for the largest part of their demographic which I suspect is individual people. Corporations of course buy things, pay premium prices and that revenue may be greater than individual sales. However, the popular adaptation of a product (by people like me) can greatly influence what happens at corporations.
    FYI, I'm in charge of marketing a specific product line  for a very high tech multinational, have seen this movie and the ending isn't pretty. Interesting, but not pretty.
    Than you.
    Best,

  • Trouble viewing enhanced podcasts

    When I am using iTunes, I can click on the album art and it displays (almost) full-screen in its own window.
    When I am watching a video in iTunes, I can option-click the small image and the movie will play (almost) full-screen in its own window.
    If I am watching an enhanced podcast (.m4b) in iTunes, the pictures change (like a slide show) at the beginning of each “chapter.” If I click one of these pictures, it displays (almost) full-screen in its own window. (So far so good...)
    Here’s my question / problem:
    When viewing an enhanced podcast in its own window, the pictures do not change in the large window. I can see the pictures still changing in the smaller “album art” window, but the only way to view the picture sequence in the larger window seems to be to click on the small image every time it advances to the new image.
    Is this right? Is there some way to watch the changing pictures in their own window?

    here's been my work around solution that seems to work fine - there's probably a quicker way, so let me know.
    1. from garage band, share to disk (for better quality images, i took off the set images to 300x300 box). don't send to itunes yet. file exports as an .m4a.
    2. open .m4a file using quicktime (i use quicktime player 10.0). file uploads images, chapters, etc.
    3. save file as .mov file. (select format that works for you - i've been trying the HD 480p option).
    4. drag .mov file to itunes.
    5. sync MOVIES. play within movies.
    6. play out of the video APP.
    hope that helps. let me know if you have any better luck or other options. seems terrible that i would have to save every enhanced podcast as a .mov file.

  • Real Instruments, Enhance Tuning, Enhance Timing, Etc?

    Hi,
    I am having trouble getting to the Real Instruments, Enhance Tuning, Enhance Timing, area of GB3.
    I see the window partially, but not enough to move the sliders, while seeing there placement..
    I'm sure there's something I'm unaware of to get the full view, and I've snapped a screen shot to show what I'm talking about, if anyone is interested..
    Thanks For Any Help,

    I have a work around I kind of stumbled onto..
    http://members.aol.com/unkie/GB3-pict-2.gif
    After you select the Real Instrument track you'd like to correct the pitch or timing of, you hit the "I" for track information, then you can click on the region arrow,(?) and the Enhancing area opens up properly.
    Check out the picture linked above, and below I will place the before shot link..
    The preference not coming up seems to be linked to using iChat, believe it or not..
    I read it here in the forum.
    If you open iChat, and then Garageband 3, your preference pane may not open up, until you reboot your computer.
    Strange but true..

  • How to Enhance Security of Windows and Recover Lost/Forgotten Password

    You maybe always get in some troubles with your PC. Lost Windows password? Forgot Windows password? Your PC was hacked? Therefore, it is a basic step for every Windows users to enhance the security of Windows password. In the networks, it is found that a number of user’s passwords are easy to guess. Only the smallest groups are the most security conscious and select passwords that are mixed lowercase and uppercase letters, numbers and punctuation to create cryptic passwords. Adopting strong password is one of the most effective ways to ensure system security. Here are several methods for you to enhance the security of your passwords in Windows 7/2000/XP/Vista and so on. You’d better remember the methods below unless you want to reset Windows password from time to time.
    1. Is random password a great password?
    A common myth is that totally random passwords like Ht3&e#L%5d@$B are the best passwords. This is not true. While they may be strong passwords, they are usually difficult to remember, slow to type, and sometimes vulnerable to attacks against the password generating algorithm. It is easy to create passwords that are strong but much easier to remember by using a few simple techniques. For example, consider the password “Luck-73@Better?”. This password utilizes uppercase and lowercase letters, two numbers, and three symbols. The password is 15 characters long and can be memorized with very little effort. Moreover, this password can be typed very fast. The portion“Luck” and “Better” alternate between left and right-handed keys on the keyboard, improving speed, decreasing typos, and decreasing the chances of someone being able to discover your password by watching you.
    2. Create the long Windows password
    Although a password may eventually be discovered through some means, it is possible to create a password that cannot be cracked in any reasonable time. If a password is long enough, it will take so long or require so much processing power to crack it. That is essentially the same as being unbreakable (at least for most hackers).
    3. Create the Windows password constantly?
    This may be good advice for some high-risk passwords, but it is not the best policy for every user. It is frustrating for a user to have to constantly think of and remember new passwords every 30 days. It may be better to focus on stronger passwords and better user awareness rather than limiting password age. A more realistic time for the common user may be 90-120 days.
    4. Write down Windows password in a proper place
    Sometimes it is necessary for some users losing and forgetting complex passwords easily to write down them somewhere proper. However, it is important to educate users on how to write down passwords properly. Obviously, a sticky note on the monitor is not a good idea, but storing passwords in a safe or even a locked cabinet may be sufficient.
    5. 14 characters is the optimal password length
    Each character that you add to your password increases the protection. Your passwords should be 8 or more characters in length; 14 characters or longer is the Optimal Password Length. Many systems also support use of the space bar in passwords, so you can create a phrase made of many words. It is not easier to forget and lose, as well as longer than a simple password, and harder to guess.
    6. Try not to use the same Windows password for all accounts
    Some users always make the same passwords for every account to make it easy to remember. In that case, when any one of them lost, your other information protected by that password will be in danger as well. It is serious to use different passwords for different systems and accounts.
    7. Do not use some common words that other users maybe guess
    Most of users prefer to use some common words to remember easily, for example, login name, birth date, driver's license, passport number, pets’ name and other words contained their personal information someone knows. In that case, your Windows system will not be safe anymore. Moreover, do remember not to use some words spelled backwards, abbreviations, sequences or repeated characters and adjacent letters, such as, asdfgh, 123456, 888888, abcdef and so on.
    You can smoothly use your Windows now because the strong and powerful Windows password is created successfully, Certainly, I believe that many users lost Windows password and forgot Windows password, then you need have to reset Windows password or recover Windows password. It is a big problem for plenty of Windows users that how to reset Windows password. Many users probably do not know how to recover Windows password and they are puzzled by resetting windows password, for instance, reset Windows 7 password, recover password Windows XP, remove Windows Vista password and other operating systems after they create the password with complex letters, numbers and symbols. However, it is unnecessary to worry and it is said that things will eventually sort themselves out. There are many ways to reset forgotten Windows password, including use windows password reset disk and windows password reset software, like Super Windows Password Reset, a professional windows password reset software which could enable you to logon to Windows smoothly without reinstalling system. You can know more by reference to http://www.passwordreset.biz/. Such was the case with using these kinds of tools.
    These are all my suggestion about methods to enhance the security of Windows password. To create password for your Windows account is not a thing you should do, but a thing you must do by following my advices. It is the important line of defense against hackers. If your Windows password is indeed attacked finally or nevertheless you lost Windows password, you can try out windows password reset tool I mentioned above. The advantage is that there is no fear of leaking your password to outsiders. Certainly, the only better method is still creating the strong password, do remember it and then change one constantly.

  • Enhanced Podcasts Too Small to See

    I work at a university where we're looking into using podcasts as a teaching tool.
    We're considering a software that will automatically record/sync a professor's lecture (audio) and PowerPoint notes (actually anything from the computer screen) into an enhanced podcast.
    The trouble is... when viewing this on my 5th gen iPod, you can't read anything from the PowerPoint slides. Almost 1/2 " from either side of the screen... and almost 1/4" inch from the top & bottom of the screen... aren't being used.
    I suspect this has something to do with maintaining the aspect ratio of the original source? Is there any way around this? To utilize more of the screen? What's the maximum image size for an enhanced podcast?
    Another method we've employed involves creating video podcasts of the same lectures/PowerPoint slides. You lose the ability to add chapters - but the video takes up the entire iPod screen (so you can actually read the notes!)
    Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated!

    I agree, this needs to be addressed big time. It's a waste having to open the template, just to decide against it and have to close the whole document, then open a new doc to view the template gallery again. This is why I also suggest a way to view the template gallery from a button on the toolbar as well, rather than only when opening a new doc. I'm amazed this wasn't implemented by Apple...
    If there is a way to view the template gallery and select new templates without opening a completely new doc, please let me know.

  • Trouble Printing or Scanning? Try the HP Print and Scan Doctor

    Are you having trouble when you try to print or scan with your Deskjet, Officejet, or Photosmart printer or All-in-One?
    Does your print job get “stuck” and never come out of your printer?
    Are you getting an error message when you try to scan?
    HP suggests that you download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor. While not all types of printing and scanning communication problems are addressed with this software utility, many common problems are resolved. This utility can be used to troubleshoot and in some cases directly fix common connectivity problems experienced with many of HP’s desktop printers and all-in-one devices when used on Windows XP, Vista, Win 7, and Win 8 systems (administrator privileges are necessary in order to run the utility).
    If the HP Print and Scan Doctor detects missing or incompatible software parts, the utility will offer to uninstall the current parts so that a subsequent reinstall process will go smoothly.  The uninstall / reinstall process usually resolves printing and scanning connectivity issues with a minimum of further fuss.
    Get it here:  HP Print and Scan Doctor
    Please Give HP Your Feedback!  If you use the HP Print and Scan Doctor, HP would like to hear from you afterward  – there’s a survey link built right into utility and it only takes a minute or two.  Your ideas on how to improve the Print and Scan Doctor help HP design new features and enhancements for all of our customers.  Thanks for taking the time to respond.
    Do you have a networked printer?
    If your printer is network connected rather than connected via USB, you may be experiencing network related connectivity issues.  Any network connectivity issues must be addressed first.  The HP Print and Scan Doctor will also check for and help you resolve network issues that previously required a separate utility (the HP Network Diagnostic Utility).  With the HP Print and Scan Doctor this is no longer necessary!  HP has combined all features of the Print Diagnostic, Scan Diagnostic, and Network Diagnostic utilities into our next generation utility!
    The HP Print and Scan Doctor runs on Windows XP, Vista, Win 7, and Win 8.  You will need administrator privileges in order to run the utility.

  • BADI having multiple enhancement implementations

    Hi,
    The requirement is to have multiple implementations of a BADI. In the program i have to call each of the implementations of this specific BADI.
    Is this how to do it.
    1. Firstly i just know the enhacement spot details like the BADI name and the interface name. With this information i want to find all the enhancement implementations that exists for the given BADI name or interface name.
    I tried the following method, but does not seem to work.
    CALL METHOD cl_exit_master=>create_obj_by_interface_filter
      EXPORTING
        inter_name                = 'IF_SSP_USER_SETTINGS'
       method_name               =
       flt_val                   =
       internal                  = SXRT_FALSE
       caller                    =
       delayed_instance_creation = SXRT_FALSE
      IMPORTING
        exit_obj_tab              = lt_EXIT_OBJ_TAB
    2. Once i get all the enhancement implementations, i want to call them one by one, i.e. a specific method of each of them.
    Am i right in what i am doing given my requirement as stated above. If not, please direct me as to how i can achieve it.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Madhura Lobo

    Arun,
    Many thanks, and you're right about having different enhancement sets active, although you can control which enhancement set is active via the BADI COMPONENT...something...
    However, in my case I shall remove the other two unused enhancement sets as this is just asking for trouble, if they remain.
    I must admit I would like to see more control, perhaps a warning, to say that there is already an active enhancement set when you create a new one. This can easily happen when you have multiple developers on the project, of which some are junior.
    Anyway, your time is much appreciated.
    Jason

  • I downloaded Firefox 4.0 and it says to re-install the toolbar but I have not been successful in doing so. Can I go back to the older version? I had no trouble with that and I do not like this new version at all.

    I downloaded Firefox 4.0 and it says to re-install the toolbar but I have not been successful in doing so. I went to the forums and tried all the suggested fixes but none worked. Can I go back to the older version? I had no trouble with that and I do not like this new version at all. I tried a system restore twice and it did not fix the problem.

    I would imagine it's the MyWay Searchbar which is classified by most anti-malware scanners as adware, or even worse as spyware. I say that because I see "SmileyCentral" in your list of plugins and that's an add-on for that particular toolbar. You can disable that via Tools | Add-ons | Plugins.
    There are a number of toolbars which won't work with Firefox 4 anymore due to the enhanced protection mechanisms in the browser.
    Mozilla recommends that you only install add-ons from its own security site @ https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/?browse=featured Generally speaking, those have all been tested and approved. The exceptions are those currently under review which are marked with a yellow banner to warn users that they haven't passed Mozilla's labs yet.

  • Real trouble trying to install Catalyst Legacy

    I'm kind of in trouble trying to install catalyst-total-hd234k package from the AUR
    using yaourt to achieve this, enabled the xorg112 package to downgrade, tried pacman directly and makepkg, same result

    let me paste form the grill:
    I'm pretty sure that you didn't update catalyst-total-hd234k to version 13.1-28, because there I fixed conflict with ati-dri.
    Comment by doblerone (2014-12-17 19:15)
    During the last update, apparently there are some conflicts between catalyst-libgl and catalyst-total-hd234k. The suggestion is to remove catalyst-total-hd234k.
    Comment by Vi0L0 (2014-12-18 08:14)
    You are probably using libva-xvba-drivers which from yesterday depend on catalyst-libgl, i will add it to provides array after getting back home
    Comment by Vi0L0 (2014-12-18 21:50)
    13.1-29:
    - added catalyst-libgl, opencl-catalyst, lib32-catalyst-libgl and lib32-opencl-catalyst into provides array to satisfy libva-xvba-driver (and maybe other that will come in the future) deps;
    - added linux 3.18 support (i cannot test it actually, i can see it compiles fine though)
    Comment by K3pler (2015-01-05 12:43)
    Planning to replace my ultra outdated x1950pro for a less outdated hd3870 lol.
    And using this driver i probably need to downgrade xorg-server from 1.16 to 1.12 from the aur, right???
    Thanks for your work VioLO

    Building fglrx module for 3.17.6-1-ARCH kernel ...
    Ok.
    Add nomodeset to your kernel line in /boot/grub/menu.lst , ie.:
    kernel /boot/vmlinuz-linux root=/dev/sda1 ro nomodeset
    You can use the tool 'aticonfig' to generate an xorg.conf file.
    --------------------- ^^^^^^^^^ --------------------------------
    fglrx was added into /etc/modules-load.d/catalyst.conf
    atieventsd (needs acpid pkg) on systemd:
    systemctl enable atieventsd
    systemctl start atieventsd
    For more info and troubleshooting visit:
    http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/ATI_Catalyst
    ATTENTION!
    To enable 'automatic re-compilation while system shutdown/reboot'
    testing feature run these commands as root:
    systemctl enable catalyst-hook
    systemctl start catalyst-hook

    You have already voted for catalyst-total-hd234k
    ==> Packages no longer required by any installed package:
    libepoxy
    - Then, I re-enable catalyst-hook (and optionally atieventsd) to be able to build modules at end and start of pc
    $ sudo systemctl disable catalyst-hook
    Removed symlink /etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/catalyst-hook.service.
    $ sudo systemctl disable atieventsd
    Removed symlink /etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/atieventsd.service.
    $ sudo systemctl enable catalyst-hook
    Created symlink from /etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/catalyst-hook.service to /usr/lib/systemd/system/catalyst-hook.service.
    $ sudo systemctl enable atieventsd
    Created symlink from /etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/atieventsd.service to /usr/lib/systemd/system/atieventsd.service.
    - Afterwards, I blacklist the radeon module for it not to interfere with fglrx:
    Added "blacklist radeon" on the nano prompt below
    $ sudo nano /etc/modprobe.d/modprobe.conf
    - Then I generate the xorg.conf file, and get the output below with '# aticonfig --initial'

  • 7.1.6 update broke enhanced podcast in safari

    hi.
    i'm seeing some issues about the 7.1.6 update in the boards, but none that are quite what i'm experiencing. after applying the update i can view flash movies, and files from youtube, etc.; it is only the enhanced podcasts (in this case on an rss feed) that i'm having trouble with.
    i have done the usual fixes, including reinstalling via download, repair permissions, delete plist files (move first - THEN delete!), tried other browsers. i have not tried an "archive and install", as i'm hoping to find a less drastic solution.
    the offending site displays fine with 7.1.5 on a very similarly configured imac g4. am i alone? any other suggestions?

    It appears to be a "bug" in 7.1.6 and the browser plug-in.
    The .m4a files (MPEG-4 audio) that also include a video track seem to start to load via the plug-in (a quick display of the image then a change to the QT ? icon).
    I suggested changing the extension to .m4v in another post as a "temporary" fix until Apple identifies the error and sends us a fix.
    I think the error is part of new security features in QuickTime. The .m4a should be an audio file (this is what the plug-in expects) and when it finds the "video" it turns off the plug-in. The same file will play just fine in QuickTime Player.
