Enhancing search help of Workcenter in cr03

Hi,
The F4 help on Workcenter in cr03 transaction gives the option to search by :
Work Center category
Find by Class
Name of Work Center
Technical Data
Person Responsible
An enahanement should be done so that the search should also be possible by Cost Center, i.e, after the enhancement, the F4 help should offer search by:
Work Center category
Find by Class
Name of Work Center
Technical Data
Person Responsible
<b>Cost Center</b>
How to go about this??

Hi Adarsh,
The serach help used in this case is 'CRAM' which includes many other searchhelps.. Go to SE11 and display the search help CRAM & dig through the included serachhelps.. you might run into a searchhelp exit that might be useful.. there are a couple of exits in COI2O2_CRAM..

Enhance search help MAT1_TREX_SIMPLE

Hello.
i want to enhance the SES F4 standard search help MAT1_TREX_SIMPLE by MARA-MSTAE and MARC -MMSTA.
These 2 fields should show up in the result list of F4 help MAT1_TREX_SIMPLE.
I had read the sap ses documentation and several blogs and tutorials.
But i don't know where to start and if this requirement is possible.
Do you have any ideas ?

The difference is that the test program COM_SE_SEARCH_IIF_TEST uses the official SES search interface method CL_COM_SE_SEARCH_IIF=>SEARCH_OBJECTS, whereas the test program COM_SE_SEARCH_TEST directly accesses the native TREX search interface, function module TREX_EXT_SEARCH_DOCUMENTS (which you are not allowed to use in customer development).
Therefore COM_SE_SEARCH_TEST does not include the authorization check, whereas
CL_COM_SE_SEARCH_IIF=>SEARCH_OBJECTS passes the raw search result from TREX to the object-specific authorization check routine. This check routine has to be implemented by the responsible application using interface method IF_COM_SE_BUSOBJ~CHECK_AUTHORIZATION.
The implementing class can be found/set in customizing:
Transaction SES_ADMIN, menu path: Goto -> Customizing -> Business Objects and Indexes
On the screen "Display View ..." double-click in the tree to the left on: Settings for Business Objects
So I guess:
- either the obect-specific implementation of ~CHECK_AUTHORIZATION is erroneous
- or the logon user is just not authorized

How to Enhance search help for product groups. Currently no ability to add multiple lines from result list

Hi All,
In CRM Web UI, there is no multi selection option for product group id f4 help for Custmer event creation or edit screen under “Product” tab=> Product Group ID field.
Web UI Component Details -
UI component : TPMOE
View : TPMOE/ProductEOL
Context: PRODUCT Attribute : -PRODUCT_GRUOP
Click on Product Group ID field then below F4 Help screen appears.
In the product group results list, user can select only one row and Then all the product will be queried for selected product group, transferred to product list tab.
Current technical design for Product Group F4:
a) SE11 Data Dictionary search help “CRM_MKTPL_PGRP1” is used and data is fetched displayed based it( Refer method GET_V_PRODUCT_GROUP of context node class CL_TPMOE_PRODUCTEOL_CN00)
b) In UI, F4 pop up is handled by UI Framework in SAP generic manner so no multi selection is allowed.
c) A round trip event is triggered after selection of row from results which reload view with queried product result based group selected.
Requirement :-
In the product group F4 results list View, user should be able to select multiple row .As SAP GUI has the option of multiple entry selection from search help window with the help of field called MULTISEL.
System should query for products with all selected product group, transferred to product list tab.
Note: - The multi select options works fine for GUI, but for UI standard SAP code ignores this or never is this structure taken into consideration. Standard class to display F4 help on UI is CL_THTMLB_F4HELP.
Can we enforce same behavior like DDIC search help in Web UI too Or suggest how we can achieve this requirement?

Define UI object model zprgrp & zprgrpquery and object relationship in table ZCRM_OBJTAB
Query Strcuture : ZCRMST_PRGRP_SEARCH & Result List structure : ZCRMST_PRGRP_RESULT
Created Custom component : ZPRGRP with Search /Result view and with GENIL Class, search logic
Defined custom ComponentUsage “ProductGroup1SearchHelp” for ZPRGRP in Standard Component TPMOE
e. Called F4 application for field product _group with help component usage created in step d.

its working properly but when i select the value it doesn't pass to vbeln on va02 tcode kindly help me in this regard .

Hi.
I am involved in an upgrade Project and I am having problems with one transaction that was enhanced in a Match Code.
I found the match code (search help) that was enhanced in the last version (4.6C) and I realized that in the new version it was not changed, so I did it manually. When I tested the match code in last version I put break points in the function module related with the search help and when I press the match code, the debug showed to me the function module related with the enhanced search help. I did the same in the new version, but the search help did not attach the function module enhanced.
I dont really know which the problem is, but I can see that it is like if the search help that was modified were not the correct one.
So, what I want to know is how I could find in a standard transaction, the name of the search help (match code) that I need to change.

You may need to find out where or at what level the search help is attached. There is a hierarchy for this, the below link may help you.

Enhancing standard (single select)search help for Multiple value selection

Hi,
Standard search help for Business Partner (in cProjects) allows only single value selection for input fields. I want to make this multiple selection.
Is there a way to do it.
I used an OVS and built a similar search but its difficult to get the standard options like saving to personal value list etc in it.
It would be good if there is a way to modify the standard search help to allow multiple selection. Any ideas??

As far as I know you can't make a standard ABAP dictionary search help return multiple entries - where you get this sort of functionality the searches don't use the standard Elementary search help framework (e.g. organisational structure searches)
Given that the WDA search help relies on these dictionary based searches, I'd think very much that you couldn't enhance it to return multiple. how you could even return multiple entries into a single UI element input field is also confusing to me.
I'd suggest creating a freely programmed value help, it would certainly take quite some effort to recreate those personal value lists etc, but it could be done - I don't like OVS, but that just me.

How to enhance the Opportunities search help in UI

Hi all
I have a requirement wherein I need to enhance the Standard Search help of Opportunities in UI.
The requirement is, we have few custom fields and few fields from 'Milestone' tab .These fields needs to show it in the initial screen of 'Opportunities' to search the different opportunities.
Ex:1.We have a custome field called 'Direct Margin%' and this should appear in the drop down of Opportunity search help in UI
        and if the user enters a value against this then system should filter all the opportunities and should display the oportunities which are having the value entered by the user for ''Direct Margin%' (similar to standard search).
2. We have a field called Contract Start Date*' and this should appear in the drop down of Opportunity search help in UI
     and if the user enters a date against this then system should filter all the opportunities and should display the oportunities
     with the date entered.

How can I replace a standard search help in SRM 7.0 as enhancement?

Hi experts.
In SRM 7.0, Shopping Cart, Account tab - when using search help for the Cost Center field, a search help 'KOST' is called in the backend system.
I need to replace this functionality with a call to a local search help.
Being newbie in WebDynpro, I expected to be able to make this change in the Context field, search help attribute as an enhancement, but that was not possible.

I tried the proposed solution with no luck.
The problem is, that the standard program is dynamically accessing the attributes of the field I deleted and then I got a short-dump
The solution was however quite simple, when I first had the idea.
If SAP can access a screen field dynamically adding a search help, then I probably could do the same.
So I created a enhancement post exit in view method "WDDOMODIFYVIEW" with this code:

FI account assignment search help enhancement

We are looking to either link html text or enhance SAP search help so when staff our choosing GL accounts in PR's & PO's they can look at guidance on what should be charged to specific accounts. Can such user defined help text be added to matchcode or SAP standard help in any way, or links to html info be added?
I am curious as to what customers have created in this area

Just checked with ABAPer, Yes you can add custom texts to F4 help. We tried picking data and go to transaction SE11 editing the help text we can add any info text to the standard text. Like wise you can do with search also.
But what we discussed is changing standard is not suggestible, since we have many help texts to be included and modified. If any patches will require to updated, the changes will be overwritten.

When you go to display the structure RV45A in se11 and goto field mabnr and double click it , you can find
"explicit search help attachment to data element" and not as "explicit search help attachment to data field"
which is the case for RMXTT_TRIAL_HD-PRODUCT
and also when you click on the search help for field at the bottom , you can see " no search help for field RV45A-MABNR".

Help needed in enhancing Search attribute Created at - Parameters

I am facing a strange issue in enhancing search criteria maintained for sales contracts search.
I have brought in CREATED AT Field. By default, it is diplaying only IS Option in WEB UI. as per the req, we should display Contains, Does not contain, is on or earlier than etc.
for this we identified the Maintenance view table, CRMC_DQ_ATTROP and selected the needed values by ticking the needed options. Now the parameters displayed on UI are coming as expected but Search is not working with these parameters.
Any idea on this will be of great help.

I do not have the time to research this completely, but I had a short look into the class you posted.
In the GET_DYNAMIC_QUERY_RESULT there is a call to CL_CRM_QCOD_HELPER->PREPROCESS( )
A little bit lower there are blocks marked by comments for the single searches that are handled by this class. I had a look into the campaign_serach() method. There if you scroll a little bit down (around line 123) they set all search parameters to SIGN = 'I' OPTION = 'EQ'. This is done several times below as well.
Set a breakpoint in the proprocess() method and check which of the blocks is called and how they handle your search criteria.
