Enlarge copies

Need step by step help on how to enlarge copies from this 8610 printer all in one. Would be also helpful to learn step by step how to reduce copies as well. Thanks!

ToniB1-- here is how i enlarge. my enlargements are made from a Sunday Supplement Puzzle called "Numberix". It is a puzzle abount one newspaper column wide by 2" (or so) long. I cut the puzzle out from the magazine supplement and place in on the glass in the upper left hand corner of the 8610. You should notice a white "L" shaped stripe to aid in the placement of the original puzzle. then select "copy" then select the icon that looks sorta like a "Gear" and then select "custom resize" from the choices. Then I tap into the next screen the number "400" ( that is the biggest choice between 25 to 99 "which would reduce the finished copy" and 99 to 400 "which will enlarge the finished copy") once you selected your number then back out to the screen where you choose "Color or Black" hit your choice and presto you have you enlarged or reduced copy. I don't know any way to choose more than one copy. So I then take my enlarged copy put it on the glass and then just make a copy of that so I end up with the two enlarged copies I need so my wife and I can each solve the puzzle. Hope this helps as like you the instructions packaged with the printer are VERY short on details!! Can't believe a company as large as H/P would allow that to get by them.

    Hi Norm39,
What operating system are you using ?
Here is a link to a page with steps on how to scan and enlarge a photo.
Step 7 listed here should give you direction on how to save the enlarged image file.

  • Outlining text that's already been outlined

I couldn't find the font I needed for a logo but found one that was close.  So I converted said font to outline and then moved vectors around to my liking.  Now I find out that I need to outline the text.  I've tried enlarged copies of the outlined font and then moving a few vector points but got inconsistent looking outline.  Any ideas on how to do this easily?  Thanks for any advice!!

Sorry for the delay in response, had meetings.
I converted the font to outline using right click-->Create outlines
then I played with the vector points to get rounded edges like so
then right clicked --> transform -->scale --> copy, paste behind and played with vector points to get crappy lopsided outline
Is that enough information?  Sorry I wasn't more clear earlier.

  • How to resize a copy on HP Photosmart c4480

I need to be able to enlarge copies to 200% and reduce to 50%.
The data sheet for this printer claims resizing from 50 - 400%.
I cannot find anything besides resizing with and without border on the menu on printer.
I cannot find anything about resizing in the big manual for the printer.
    Can this printer resize?
    If so, how?

    Hey there @GeeBeeDubyah
    Welcome to the forums!
The Copy Menu on the printer will have all of the resize options available for that specific model. I have checked out the specifications and this is what I found below. If the options you're looking for are not in the Copy Menu, then unfortunately the option isn't available.

  • How do i enlarge a scanned photo in my f4100 series

how do i enlarge a scanned photo in my f4100 series

    To scan to a computer
    1. Place your original with the side you want to copy or scan face down on the left front
    corner of the glass.
TIP: For quality copies, ensure that the scanner glass is clean and that there are
no foreign materials adhering to it. For more information, see Clean the glass.
    2. Press Scan.
If the original is a document, the HP All-in-One scans it automatically. If the original
is a photo, a preview image of the scan appears on your computer, where you can
edit it. Any edits that you make apply to the current scan session only.
The HP Photosmart Software has many tools that you can use to edit your scanned
image. You can improve the overall image quality by adjusting the brightness,
sharpness, color tone, or saturation. You can also crop, rotate, or resize the image.
    3. Make any edits to the preview image, and then click Accept when you are finished.
You can use the tools in the HP Scanning software to modify a preview image. Any
changes that you make, such as brightness, image type, resolution, and more apply only
    to this scan session.
You can make additional changes in the HP Photosmart software after the image is
    scanned.

  • Printing multiple copies per page, not multiple pages per sheet

How can I print multiple copies of page per sheet of paper?
I've got an image or PDF that I'd like to print 4 or more of per sheet of paper. But it can easily fit on one sheet. When I choose to print 4 copies and in the Layout section choose 4 copies per page what I get is for pages printed out with the image scaled down to a quarter of a page.
What I'd like is the one image scaled down and printed 4 times on a single piece of paper.

I don't completely believe that this is completely
due to the drivers from the printer manufacturer.
Nor did I say that it is. The software from which the doc is being printed is
even more important re page layout options.
Your statement of "It is a function of the printer driver..." is what led to that misunderstanding.
I completely agree that the idea of 'print to PDF' is misleading and that I was mislead that all the print dialog options (like the quartz filters that do work in outputting to PDF and the # of copies that do not) should apply to creating PDF files using the print dialogue. It now says 'save to PDF' in 10.4 instead of 'output' or 'print'. I think some of my confusion is carrying over from UI decisions in 10.3.
Obviously it wasn't designed to work this exact way
or it would work this exact way.
I have no idea what this statement means.
It's stating the obvious in reply to your statement of the obvious ("the feature you are trying to use isn't designed to work that way."). If it were designed to work in the manner that I was wanting it perform I would have never posted a question about it.
You can say it's not commonly done and that would
apply to anything other than printing off one full
sized copy of any single page. Using Quartz filters
isn't "commonly done" but it's available.
Not true... mailing labels, multipage spreads, thumbnails, reductions/
enlargements, ad infinitum are far more frequently done than printing
the same content on the same sheet multiple times. As I said, however,
there are provisions for doing so when the need arises.
You missed the point. Functionality is presented that is far less utilized than what I was desiring to do on this platform/set of applications as compared to other platforms/sets of applications. This is why I specifically mentioned the quartz filtering. I have personally met only one other person who uses quartz filtering yet I know over a dozen that want to print in the manner I originally posted about.
I'm sure you have seen such results & I have done
the exact same type of output hundreds of times on
both Windows & Mac platforms as well as others...
but not in the manner you are attempting to get it
done. As you've found out, that just doesn't work.
And I've seen it performed in the manner I was attempting, furthering the frustration.
In any program you typically do specify page layout
before number of copies... in fact, that is the cruxt of the
issue. But getting the same content to repeat on a single
page is not a matter of page layout and is not a function
of the print operation unless you're dealing with commercial
    devices.
I guess I've just been spoiled by those big office Xerox machines. I never thought of that functionality being at all special in any way.
    Thank you for the assistance.

How do I enlarge the Print on my hp2540 printer,It prints very small

  • How do you make an image enlarge on hover, like on the new google image search?

    Here's an example:
    http://www.google.com/images?hl=en&source=imghp&biw=1109&bih=690&q=cat&gbv=2&aq=f&aqi=g10& aql=&oq=&gs_rfai=
When you roll over the image it enlarges.  I like it because you don't have to click anything, and you hover over a bunch of images without refreshing the page or having an obnoxious popup you have to close.
Is there a ways to create this in dreamweaver?  Do you have to make 2 different image sizes (like in the dijointed rollovers)?
    Thanks!  I love this forum!
    Kate

You have to insert a rollover object.  Not sure what version you are working in.  But you should have the option to select "insert", "Rollover Object" then you followi the guide.  You will need to create 2 copies of your image - one that is smaller that will be your thumbnail and then the larger image.  The first thing you will be asked for is an image ID - give it whatever name you want, but I recommend lowercase letters only.  The 2nd thing will be to insert your thumbnail as a jpg and the you insert the larger image, again as a thumbnail.  Don't forget to gill in the alternate id name as well - can be the same as your original id name.
    THIS IS IMPORTANT
After you insert the image you must switch to code view and delete the size parameters that appear after the image.
I hope this makes sense...but if you need further help....just ask.

  • YouTube Chromeless Player ceases to enlarge up to Full Screen width in Full Screen mode

    Hello all!
I tested my skin for YouTube Chromeless player, and seems it worked properly.
All graphic elements, including TLFTextFields, are stored in external SWF, all the AS3 code - in loading SWF.
I use ProLoader class to load SWF.
However, when I tried to attach Player skin code to my Home Page code, I immediately bumped into two issues:
    1. TLFTextFields ceased to display proper font;
    2. YouTube Chromeless player ceased to enlarge up to Full Screen width in Full Screen mode, whereas all publishing settings were kept the same...
Although I managed to cope with TLFTextField bug by replacing instances with vars in loaded SWF, I have no the slightest idea what to do with those paddings in Full Screen mode... Neither removing all children on stage before loading YouTube Player skin, nor compulsory resetting player's size can't make it work...
    Any help appreciated !!!

    Thanks for the reply Andrei!
No, the issue is not there. My monitor resolution is 1280x1024 only, and I just watched via Skype how it looks on 1920x1080.
Moreover, as I mentioned above, the Player skin per se works more or less properly (whereas attached to the Home page doesn't).
And EVERYTHING, including YouTube player enlargement, looks good in 'standalone' version...
You may have a look at these two links:
    - YouTube Player skin. Standalone
    - Customised YouTube Player. Full project
What is added in full project:
    1. One background image: MovieClip
    2. One background title: TLFTextField
    3. Five buttons + one intro player: VideoPlayer
    4. One masking rectangle: Sprite
I wonder what may cause such deviation in behaviour ?..
P.S. Any other bugs report (especially with screenshots) are also appreciated
UPD: Actually, buttons are not just VideoPlayers. All of them are MovieClips, which included two VideoPlayers, one TLFTextField and two Sprites...

    Welcome to the community
I will certainly do my best to help you with scanning and resizing the scans! However, I am going to ask that you please let me know some more helpful information to help me with the steps I should recommend for you. To start with, make sure you have installed the "Full Feature" driver and software from the HP.com website and are using the HP Scan software to scan.
    Drivers & Downloads
Please respond to me with the following. If there are any steps here that you have not tried, please try them before responding and include the result:
    What printer do you have?
How is the printer connected (USB/ wireless/ wired/ Bluetooth)?
Have you tested hardware functionality (made copies)?
    Can you print?
Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software?
Run the Print and Scan Doctor and include the results.
If you receive any error messages, what do they say?

  • Iphone 5 home screen enlarged

Anyone seen your iphone home screen enlarged? Can't see the call icons and on lock screen lock slide visible. Once phone is rebooted, goes back to normal, but happend twice today. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you

My iPhone 5s: screen enlarges /  magnifies randomly and won't allow me to scroll enough to see or tap on other icons.  Can't even get to the "slide off" to turn off phone and reboot.
(Btw, missed my United flight because couldn't get screen to allow me to show the electronic boarding pass for TSA agent.  Will go back to carrying paper copies in future, but disappointed to miss the airline's move to streamline the boarding process.)
Any suggestions?  Anyone else get this periodoc satanic screen magnification?
Thanks for any help you might offer!
