Enque events

Hi,
Wht is mean by enque events. In my statspack report the top most event is enque.
Can you pls give me some expalanation or link where i can get more info
Thanks
Anand

You can find some documentation about enqueue types here:
http://download-uk.oracle.com/docs/cd/B10501_01/server.920/a96536/apb.htm#620714
US = rollback segments
SQ = sequences
CF= control files
I don't know how to interpret them precisely. They seem not to be documented in Oracle documentation. Maybe you could focus on the more high level top wait events as suggested by Tom Kyte in http://asktom.oracle.com/pls/ask/f?p=4950:8:2529871362252059812::NO::F4950_P8_DISPLAYID,F4950_P8_CRITERIA:7931218716504
you want to tune applications, not "the system".
what application is most important to you -- trace it, find what it waits on, fix
that.

  • Error enqueing event

    Hi everyone,
I'm getting a runtime fault while publishing an event (inside a BPEL).
Following you have a short overview about how we have reached this error :
Few weeks ago we decided to create a new environment for Development. In order to do that, we cloned the Quality environment (schemas prefix - QAS01) machines to have a fully stable version of all services and database schemas to start new developments. We have changed the machines host names as well as refreshed all the references from data sources to a new [cloned] database, we didn't forget to rename the SOA schemas, e.g. QAS01_SOAINFRA renamed with the new prefix DEV01.
So, after that, we were ready to start deploying and testing new composites to this new environment. Everything was going well until we have a composite with a BPEL publishing an event.
You can take look to the error message below that we got from the runtime fault.
    oracle.fabric.common.FabricException: Error enqueing event:
ORA-24010: QUEUE QAS01_SOAINFRA.EDN_EVENT_QUEUE does not exist
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_AQ", line169
    ORA-06512: at "DEV01_SOAINFRA.EDN_ENQUEUE_BUSINESS_EVENT", line 42
    ORA-06512: at "DEV01_SOAINFRA.EDN_INTERNAL_PUBLISH_EVENT", line 4
I think that we have missed some configuration change after cloning the environment, since QAS01_SOAINFRA is not supposed to be referenced anywhere in this new environment but DEV01_SOAINFRA.
Is it possible to change (EM, Console, somewhere else ...) the schema reference where EDN_EVENT_QUEUE is defined?
Maybe this is an uncommon situation but I would appreciate your help.
    Thank you in advance.

  • Regarding Event and Its subscription in SOA Suite11g

    Hi All,
I am trying with some of the tutorials of SOA Suite 11g for EDN. I have a doubt regarding even handling in the following scenario:
Events are used for 'fire and forget' scenario and is a solution that does not depend on the underlying messaging technology. I have a composite subscribed to
an event, assume that for some reason the composite is not available when the event is raised. Then
    - What will happen to the raised event? Will it be lost or will the event stored in any queue? If its stored, where this will be stored?
    - And how should i take care of this composite unavailability scenario? As my requirement is doing set of activities when the event is raised, if the composite is unavailable for some
reason then the raised event will not be handled then its an issue with functional flow.
Please let me know about this.
    Thanks
    Siva

I was trying the same scenario, raising the event from UI but no subscribed composite exists. When i see the EDN log it was shown like below.
NewCustomer is the event and has payload of CustomerId. The log shows the entries for both enqueuing the event and Dequeued event.
Seems to be event will not be stored if no subscribers exist or may be any other settings required. Not sure though, any insights?

  • Invalid xml error for raising events thro EM console

    Hi,
I am using soa-suite 11g and was trying chapter 17 (EDN) from the book "Getting Started with Oracle SOA Suite 11g R1 – A Hands-On Tutorial".
I created an event and trying to consume it through a mediator and writing it to a file. I read that there is a provision to raise event through EM console. I tried that option and gave a sample xml payload. But it always errors out saying incorrect xml format.
I pasting below the xsd definition and the input payload. Can someone pls let me know if raising events thro em console works ?

  • TRANSFORMATION STARTS AGAIN, WHEN I RESTART THE COMPUTER OR ENABLE THE CAPTURE PROCES

    Hello all,
I am using a Transformation function which is invoked by Capture process whenever a
delete is performed on source table, then Transformation function collect the required
data from LCR and stores in some other local table.
When capture process is online, Transformation function is doing it's job well.
But whenever I restart the system or whenever I enable the Capture process,
the Transformation function is called again, Though I am not performing any
    delete operation on source table.
Due to this I am finding lot of duplicate records in the target table.
Hence, Transformation function is repeatedly called whenever I restart the system or
    enable the Capture process.
=> Is it concerned with any kind of clean up or commit.
=> Or Am I have to clean up redo-logs right after the execution of Transformation function.
How can I stop this unnecessary execution of Transformation function.
    Thanks in Advance.

    ( [email protected] )

    Hello Patricia,
Thank you very much for that suggestion.
As you said, Now I created capture process and an apply process for replication inside a
    database.
Capture process is enqueing events to queue, But Apply process is not able to dequeue events
    from that queue.
I created this environment for replication between two same-structured tables inside scott schema.
If I get positive result for this simple case, then I can move for DML_Handlers etc.
Replication between 2 databases is looking more straight forward and easier to implement thatn this
    local database issue.
Am I have to define propagation also...?
I tried defining propagation , which should dequeue events from source queue and enqeu event to
destination queue which is in the same schema, Then apply process should dequeue events from this.
But this is also not happening.
Or any special settings/initialization parameters are required for replication inside a
    local database.
    Many Thank in advance.

    Srinivas Jaltaru

  • Dbms_scheduler - dbms_aq - dbms_aqadm - event driven job runs only once/sec

hi, i tried here to process events with 2 jobs... surprisingly i had to call dbms_lock.sleep(1) to be able to enqueue events
at inserts in a row ... even more surprisingly the enqueuing doesn't function if the processing (prc_evsched) lasts some seconds...
how must the code be changed to be able to enqueue all events after the inserts without any sleep()?
and how must the code be changed to be able to enqueue all events with a proc (prc_evsched) running longer?

hi, thank you for your (fast) answer! that is the solution to my problem!
    now i have a follow-up question:
i've got a procedure, that runs between 1 and 2 minutes long. unlimited running lightweight jobs
    would freeze the db...
how can the count of the parallel running lightweight-jobs be limited?
according to the documentation it is not possible:
There is no explicit limit to the number of lightweight jobs that can run simultaneously to process multiple instances of the event.
However, limitations may be imposed by available system resources.
could you explain to me, what it (...available system recources...) means?
eventually what i would like to have: max. two parallel running (lightweight) jobs....
thank you in advance, bye, á
ps: can i attach a file to the post anyway?

  • Getting events into WLI from  External JMS Queue

    Hi,
I can't figure out how to get an event into WLI from an external JMS queue.
I can send an XML message to an external queue but can't figure out how to get
a message from an external queue into WLI. I have created the MDB using the generator
program provided and have deployed. How does this MDB now send these messages
    into WLI?
I have also posted this same question in weblogic.interest.jms newsgroup.
    -- Bill

    Hi Bill.
Actually this is really simple. Here are the steps:
Connect your MDB to the external JMS queue by modifying the weblogic-ejb-jar.xml
The MDB onMessage(Message m) method will receive a message from the external JMS
queue. It will then use JNDI to bind to the EventQueue of WLI and submit the event
    as XML into that queue.
Obvously the onMessage() operation must be transacted using container managed
transactions so the scope will spawn both de-queuing from the external JMS queue
and enqueing into the WLI Evnet Queue.

  • Queues and event structure

    Hi,
I'm having some troubles with a program that I'm doing.
I think the big problem are in the queues and the structure event. I don't know why, but the elements in the queue only increase. And I think, because of that, some things that should happen, don't happen. For example, when I press the button "Impact" an square wave should appear, and it didn't appear.
    Thanks for all your help,

    Hi,
Of course I read your post, but like I said, I don't understand why, when I press the "Impulse" button, I have the start in the queue. I shouldn't have the previous used enum, because of the shift register?
You are right, the things are slow down because of the re-enqueues and the many Acquire state I have in the queue. But how can I fix that?
    Thanks,
    Sílvia
Yes the previous enum will be there because of the shift register.  But look at what is happening in your Acquire loop.  You are enqueueing on every loop iteration.  So your action is like this:
Press Start - enqueue Initialize and Acquire
    Initilaize state runs
Acquire state runs - Acquire is queued up again.  Because you have no wait state,  this loop runs super fast and you keep dequeueing acquire and queueing acquire again.  The wait state is imperative to allow the CPU time to process some other loops.  This is not done automatically, you have to allow it by adding waits to loops.
Now you happen to press impact and somehow the CPU finds time to process the event.  What state gets queued?  Acquire again.  Now you have two acquires queued because the last Acquire state also queued an acquire.  Every button you press will enque something on top of what is already there and your dequeue will never be able to keep up.
The solution is to not enqueue anything in the bottom loop.  Never do this.  If you want to acquire when no event is happeing, queue up the acquire in the Timeout event.

  • How can I see Calendar event END times at a glance?

How can I display my Calendar event titles exactly as I type them? I do not want Calendar to remove duration from the titles of my events. Otherwise I can't see event END times at a glance in month view; only start times. How can I "trick" Calendar to just show my titles as I type them - as I always could before I upgraded. I used to be able to enter "Seminar 9am-5:45" and it would appear that way regardless of how or what I chose to enter (or not enter) for duration.
    I am running OSX 10.9.3.

It's a bit weird, but if you type in the time info TWICE into the event title then Calendar uses/deletes one of them to populate the event details and leaves the other.

  • Event List view in iCal?

I would love to have an Event List view in iCal like I do on the calendar on my iPhone. Is there such a thing? The particular reason for wanting it (this time) is that one of the calendars in the ON MY MAC list has a number in a oval to the right.
I believe this is trying to tell me that there is a new event that I need to do something about. Problem is, I don't know where to find it.

    ecernek,
There is no event list option on iCal like the one on the iPhone.
That number means that you have an event invitation. Use iCal>View>Show Notifications to choose what to do with the notification.

  • Can I show a color bar instead of a color bullet in iCal Monthly view for all my events in all calendars?

In the Monthly view of iCal the only events that show a color bar in the event is the Birthday Calendar. All other events in all my other calendars only show a color bullet next to the event (unless I click on that event which then shows as a color bar). I would like to know if it is possible for all the calendar events to have a color bar in the monthly view instead of just that tiny color bullet.

    Greetings Judith,
Before making any attempts at deleting calendar data, backup what you have just in case:
Click on each calendar on the left hand side of iCal one at a time highlighting it's name and then going to File Export > Export and saving the resulting calendar file to a logical location for safekeeping.
iCal has an automated function located in iCal > Preferences > Advanced > Delete events "X" days after they have passed.  By typing in a value for days you can tell iCal to delete all events before that time frame.
    Example:
    Today is 4-16-2012.
If I wanted to delete all events prior to 1 year ago (4-16-2011) I would type in "365" for the number of days.
Once you type in the number of days you want kept in iCal, close the preferences and then quit iCal.
Re-open iCal and check to see if the events are gone.  If not you may want to leave it open for several minutes and then quit again.
Once the events are removed go back to  iCal > Preferences > Advanced > Delete events "X" days after they have passed and make sure the check mark is removed to prevent future deletion.
    Hope that helps.

  • Can you show at a glance which event images are in albums?

Say I had an event containing multiple similar but different images, is there a way to show in the grid view for example which images have already been used in one or more albums?
Would be handy to be able to select a 'show list of albums containing this image'dialogue box. I guess you could hide images you've used but that wouldn't work automatically, nor would any other tagging/rating.
Another approach would be to make albums containing everything in a given event, then move the images out of that album once used, just seems fiddly to me.

Yes it would and many people have suggested tit. Add your voice to the chorus at iPhoto Menu -> Provide Apple Feedback.
A workaround - and it's no better - is to go to an album and select al, then give all those pics a keyword. Then in grid view you can see which pics have the keyword. (View -> Keywords)

    Hi Tom,
    Thanks for the suggestion.
Yes, I am working on Windows. As you suggested, I compiled .rc file but the compile option for .r file was disabled. After compiling the .rc file, I again rebuild the complete project and tested my build. But still I was not able to achive the desired result.
Any other thing that I need to do to make it work?
