Enqueue Monitoring (sm12) - Alert when enqueue entry is older than 2 days

Hi Gurus,
At the moment I am configuring a system monitoring for our SAP landscape.
Everything works fine so far, but I am still looking for an opportunity to get an alert when a enqueue entry is older than one or two days.
Can anybody give me the matching alert name in SolMa or a hint how to monitor this point?
Thanks for your answers in advance!

see the monitoring Software from REALTECH (www.realtech.com)
But:
You can not really monitor this.
The problem is that the timestamp in transaction SM12 is not the timestamp when the lock is set. It is the timestamp when the session, which sets the lock, was started.
For example:
You start a bakground job at 8:30 AM. During the run of the job some locks a set and removed. Now the lock ist set at 8:40 AM but in SM12 you will see as timestamp 8:30 AM. The next lock is set at 10:00 AM but in SM12 you will see 8:30 AM.
You can monitor SM12 if you know the major runtime of your programs and batch jobs. For example: If you know that the major runtime is 2 day (for a batch job) you can check of entries in SM12 which are older than to days. So you can assume that they have no connection to a active session.
This is the way of REALTECH  monitoring
I hope you understand my bad english

FCPx answer: At least the answer that worked for me...
I had the same problem, as I believe many others had.
In my case the problem was with one of OSX Mavericks' new features: APP NAP.
It looks like this is ON by DEFAULT for ALL Applications and that FCPx, or Compressor for that matter, will not work if this is enabled on them.
I just disabled App Napp on FCPx and now it works, again, like a charm.
This is how you disable App Nap: http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-13727_7-57612009-263/how-to-disable-app-nap-in-os-x -mavericks/
    I hope this helps,
    Mariano

  • TS4002 Messages older than 30 days in inbox are not moved to deleted items when removed.

I've had a few messages that were stored in my inbox and were older than 30 days. I've noticed that when I actually delete them they aren't moved to Deleted Items (and sat for 30 days before permanently deleted). It seems that the actual date of the email is being used to calculate the age and not the time it sits in deleted items.

If deleted email isn't being moved to the trash you might want to go to icloud.com from your computer, open mail, click on the gear-shaped icon on the top right and choose preferences, then confirm on the General tab that you have checked "Move deleted messages to" and selected "Tash" from the drop-down list.

  • Monitor or alert when the all license consumed

    Good afternoon!
We are using Business Object Enterprise XI R2- Product version 11.5.11.1470. We purchased 15 concurrent licenses.
Currently, we have desinged our Java application that consumes only 1 license for 1 report processing.
    Java Web app(using Java SDK)
Obtain a session -> process report -> export it to proper format(ReportExportFormat.processHttpRequest) -> log off the session.
We would like to chage the application toward consuming more licenses using schedulling like below.
Obtain a sesison -> schedule a report -> release the session
Obtain a session -> see a list of scheduled reports by a user - release the session
Obtain a session -> download the report -> release the session
Is there any way to monitor if we exceed the number of licenses on the server for audit purpose?
    Thanks,
    Sung

    Thank you for your answer.
Our product is relatively new and we keep adding customers.
We could certainly see the error that the license has been consumed all on production.
However, it also means the customer already failed to pull the report on production by the time we saw the errors.
    Not a good user experience.
We have 15 concurrent licenses now.
What I would like to do is having a warning (or whatever) when the license consumed nearly all, say all 13 licenses are used.
If it is not possible, I am wondering what kinds of monitoring methods the XI server provides instead of throwing errors to the customer. Does it have it??
I hope I explain my goal clearly.

  • Script to Find latest Modify date, and email alert if last modify is older than 4hrs or so

So, I want to monitor a directory, and get an alert if any file in the directory was not modified in the last, 4 hours or so.
I think I'm on the right track, but I'm missing some pieces here.  Any suggestions?
Here's what I got so far:
::Set time and date to use later if needed
    set currentTime_Date=%time% %date%
::For loop to pull the last file (I can't seem to pull the last modify time/date with it... this is where I need a hand)
    FOR /F "delims=" %a IN ('DIR "*.*" /B /O:D') DO SET NewestFile=%a
    ::Email latest file using blat
blat.exe -to [email protected] -server [email protected] -f [email protected] -subject "File Checker" -body "test" -attach %NewestFile%
(Not sure if I can use the variable for my newest file here or not)
    Any suggestions?

Upgraded to V4 PS, and same error with this script (Note you had the variables and first function doubled up)

  • Incorrect time of CCMS alerts, alerts getting delayed by more than a day

    Hi All,
We have SOLMAN 4.0 and configured the autoreaction method for alert on e-mail centrally on SOLMAN for a client in DEV(100). The configuration is correct and we are able to receive the CCMS alerts, however, the alerts are getting delayed by more than a day. Alerts are getting generated every 3-5 minutes and in the central autoreaction method zCCMS_OnAlert_Email_Central i have added a parameter TIME_ZONE and gave the value as PST as our servers are all on PST.
The following is an example of the alert that I received:
ALERT for DEV \ Workload Collector \ Workload Collector Frame \ Collectorframe Messages at 20070910 215114 ( Time in UTC )
System: DEV at 20070910 145114 ( Time in PST ) RED CCMS alert for monitored object Collectorframe Messages Alert Text:Determination of component from SCR failed System:DEV Segment:SAP_CCMS_e47dev_DEV_00 MTE:DEV\Workload Collector\Workload Collector Frame\Collectorframe Messages Client:000 User:DDIC
    Severity:        0
I received the above alert at 15:45 after changing the "set wait time" to 15:30. However, in Tx. SOST, this alert was supposed to reach at 23:52 on 2007 09 10 which is like almost a day to receive the alert?
Is this any configuration issue? The job which was scheduled to run every 3 minutes in SCOT to send e-mails is running fine without any delay.
    Please help me!!!

  • Why "slow server alert" when NO running requests and NO open connections??

The snapshot below says it all.  Why on earth would my dev machine with no running requests, and no open database connections, kick off a slow server alert?
I will tell you that at the exact same time this snapshot was generated, my other two servers WERE hung and were reporting "Unresponsive alerts", and they connect to the same databases.  I am chasing down a chronic communication failure between our database and web servers where everything with a databae connection gets locked/hung at the same time every night, 7 days a week.  The hang lasts anywhere from a few mins to 40+ mins.
Is this why my dev server would report slow?  And if so, is it the skimmers or what that's causing a slow server alert??  Would it only report "Unresponsive" if there were actual page requests hanging, vs. a "Slow Server Alert"?
This is CF10 (update 12) 64-bit on Windows 2008 R2, IIS 7, connecting to separate Oracle 11g server.
    Thanks for any insights.

I'm pretty sure the problem here is somehow related to my other post, but for shites and grins I would still like to know how I can receive a Slow Server alert when no actual page requests are running and it says there are 0 open connections to any of the datasources.

  • How do I have a Server send my workstation an alert when it shuts down?

We have a rack containing all 6 servers (including our DC) running Server 2008 R2 that are connected to an APC UPS. We have an issue where there is an Emergency Shutoff switch in one of the classrooms that gets "accidentally bumped into" on occasions,
usually once a month. The shutoff switch is on the same circuit breaker that our servers UPS is connected to (no we can not get it moved). When the breaker trips, the UPS switches over to battery power, and the servers have about an hour until the UPS looses
battery power and they all shut down. Then I get phone calls saying the network is down. I have to go to the electrical room, switch the breaker on, then go to the server room and power on all the servers again.
I need a resolution to this problem that will let me know when the servers go down, so I can hopefully run over and get them back up and running in time before I get flooded with phone calls. There are about 200 computers on the network so it's a pretty
big deal when our file shares, and DC go down. I found the software "Powerchute Business Edition" that I can download from APC for free. From reading the documentation it looks as if I could connect a serial cable to one of the servers from the UPS,
and also install the software on my admin workstation and receive an alert when the UPS switches to battery power. This would give me enough time to run over and switch the breaker on in time to save the network. However, I asked APC and they said
the software does not work this way, and is only for monitoring power usage.
So, I'm wondering if there is another solution using some kind of event monitoring, maybe have a scheduled task that when it sees a certain event to alert me on my workstation. I don't know how or if this is possible.  Any ideas?

    Hi,
Do you have an suggestions for software?
    1. Contact your server vendor to get the related server management software like DELL ITA or HPSIM.
    2. Deploy other free system monitor tool like Nagios or Cacti. But you need to maintain these system by yourself.

  • How to send alert when receiver JMS adapter fails? Please help!

    Hi experts,
I have the following Asynchronous scenario:
       SAP R/3 -
    >IDOC----->XI>JMS--->BizTalk.
I am sending IDOC from a given SAP R/3 system to XI. XI then sends the same to BizTalk via JMS adapter. In SXMB_MONI the message is successfully processed as it shows checked flag. But if I see the JMS communication channel status in runtime workbench then there it shows error saying JMS queue user id or password not found.
How to send this JMS adapter error as alert?
I also tried configuring alert rule in runtime workbench but still it does not trigger any error.
I have also verified the alert category and everything is fine with that.
What could be the problem? How can I send an alert when an Async adapter fails?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Gopal

    Hi! GOPAL,
Once make sure whther all the below mentioned steps are configured correctly or not ok
1: First make sure whether you are working on SAP XI or PI 7.1
               a) If XI you need to create Alerts (ALert Category) in CCMS ABAP stack in the
                        Tcode. ALRTCATDEF
               b) Open the alert category/classification definition environment (transaction ALRTCATDEF).
ensure you are in change mode.
               c) In the group box with the alert classifications, right-click All classifications to open the
                    context menu, and choose Create.
               d) Under Classification, enter a name for the classification.
               e) Under Description, enter a description of the classification.
               f)  Save your entries.
               g) Then go to RWB-->Go to ALERT Configuation and ADD the RULES to your alert category gor
which created there in the abap stack.
Note Suppose if you want those ALERTS to come to your MAIL then again go to ABAP STACK and go to Tcode.  ALRTCATDEF and select your alert category press FIxed Recepients and there give your SAP XI ID's then  u can see those alerts in RWB-->ALERT INBOX
Suppoe if you want those to mail then ask the basis team to link your company mail or personal mail ID to your SAP ID.
    2. Supppose if you are working on PI 7.1 Server.
Only difference is creating Alert Category...Here you can create your ALERT Classification I mean
alert caltegory in the ESR (Enterprise Service Repository )
         Software Component >S CVersion>NameSpace-->Alert Category.
You can configure how u configure there in abap stack such as long and short text every thing
except Fixed Receipients you need to give that recepients there only in ABAP STACK.
what ever ALERT CATEGORY you are creating will reflect there in the ABAP STACK
even you can Use these alerts Category in BPM --> CONTROL STEP -->Configure here in this step
You can also reach alerts like this.
NOTE  Most Important point is You can also view your mails or Alerts in the T Code:: SOST.

  • What can be monitored using Alert rule via Runtime workbench? Help!

    Hi Experts,
In the alert configuration in XI runtime workbench, there is something called Alert Rule. Under Alert Rule there are options where we can give sender/receiver interfaces, channel, etc.
What exactly we can monitor using this option?
If my receiver is another SAP R/3 system then using this can I send alert when the SAP R/3 is down?
Similary if my sender is also SAP R/3 then can I monitor if this system is down?
What more can we monitor with this?
    Kindly help!
    Thanks
    Gopal

    Hi,
Alert rule is not at all used for monitoring directly. it can act as a filter for your alert category. so first you must have created an alert category.
you can specify the sender/receiver party, service, interface and namespace in a alert rule after choosing a alert category.
you can also specify where you are expecting an error like integration engine or adapter engine
if you define an alert category with an alert rule, no restrictions then you will get all alerts for all sort of errors from all of your interfaces.
so by specifying an alert rule you are restricting an alert category that you created to a particular sender service or namespce etc..
to get step by step idea of how to create alerts see the below blogs

  • SCE 2010 Alerts when windows firewall is turned off

Is it possible in SCE 2010 to have a email alert when someone manually turns off their firewall and does not turn it back on again? And if so how can that be accomplished? Originally I was going to just enforce this from Group Policy but this doesn't allow
people to enable or disable their firewalls. It just enables the firewall and grays out all other options.
This is a Domain with two 2008 R2 servers. The reason people need to be able to turn off their firewalls is for testing purposes.
    Thank you so much.
    Knowledge is Power.

When the firewall is turned off, it will generate an event log. You could create a monitor Alert Generating NT-Event-Log-Based Rule to monitor this event log.

  • Monitoring and Alerting Infrastructure : Errors raised during Event Calculation

    Hello together,
    System: Solution Manager 7.1 Sp7
since one day I get this alert every five minute: "Monitoring and Alerting Infrastructure : Errors raised during Event Calculation".
    Name....................Errors raised during Event Calculation
    Start Time..............20.03.2014 15:12:27 CET
    End Time................20.03.2014 15:12:27 CET
    Managed Object..........Monitoring and Alerting Infrastructure
    Managed Object Type.....Technical Component
    Rating..................Red
    Category................Exceptions
    Status..................Open
    Opening the alert shows this:
    E2E Alert Analysis Report:
This metric outputs the der Event Calculation Engine (ECE) error messages. The ECE runs by default every minute, under the job name SAP_ALERT_CALCULATION_ENGINE, which then starts the report ACE_CALCULATION_CONTROLLER.
Analyze the error messages in the Application Log, as follows:
Start the transaction SLG1, and enter the object E2E_ALERTING and subobject ENGINE.
When opening trx SLG1 I can see this error:
Aggregate for managed object 00215ACCD6DE1EE2B8FEE39484598162, type
    80E0ED08ADA71DEEBFD84650DEF6421F not found.
    How can I fix this?
    Thank you very much.
    Regards,
    Ralph

    Hi Ralph,
We are facing the same issue is our system. I have checked the specified note and observed that few of the systems had to be updated in Managed System Configuration. I have updated the systems. But, the alerts have not stopped.
Can you please tell me the procedure to resolve this issue?
    Thanks.

  • SCOM 2012 R2 - Generate an alert when a specific event will not come in specific time range

    Hello SCOM people,
I need to figure out what kind of monitor shall I choose for my monitoring of a specific event. I need to generate an alert when no specific event was generated by server.
Our company uses FIM 2010 with scheduled tasks, after each completed task is generated an event to application log. When sync is stuck or something is wrong no event will come to application log and I need to be warned. Tasks run each 30minutes and there
should not be an hour break between the previously created event.
I hope it makes sense :)
    Thank you
    Liibas

    Hi Liibas,
That sounds like a good scenario for using Orchestrator and the SCOM Integration Pack, since you can have time-triggers, etc. to check for Alerts and then trigger a Runbook to email someone if the Alert does/does not appear.

  • Alert when the load on the system exceeds threshold

    hi there!
I am trying to get alert when the load on the system
    exceeds certain threshold value.
Load is calculated as the function of
    CPU_utlisation,Memory_utlised,time monitored.
So i need to get the CPU_utlisation and memory utlisation
values first for calculating the load and then I check
with the threshold and then have to alert.
if any one have any idea ,please help me out,
    thanks,
    srinivas.

To get this kind of system information, you'll have to interface with your OS like executing an OS command using java.lang.Runtime, or using JNI. Java doesn't have anything for this in its standard libraries.
Note that your program won't be platform independent anymore when you use OS features.
    Cheers,
