Hi,

  • Problem deploying connector: META-INF/ejb-jar.xml not found in jar file

              Has anyone seen this problem:
I built Sun's Blackbox implementation and packaged
it identical to the BlackBoxNoTx.rar included with
Weblogic's 'jconnector' sample (even using the same
ra.xml and weblogic-ra.xml). When I try to deploy
              it, the server reports:
              java.io.FileNotFoundException:
META-INF/ejb-jar.xml not found in jar file
I have no idea why the server thinks my connector
is an EJB. If I deploy the BlackBoxNoTx.rar included
with the sample, everything works without a hitch.
The only variable that I'm changing in my BlackBoxNoTx.rar
is that I build the Blackbox classes myself--otherwise,
the RAR packagings are identical. Any assistance is
greatly appreciated since I'm banging my head against
              a wall...
              Thanks,
              -jason

I was finally able to resolve this one. On the odd chance that someone else encounters
the same problem, here's what went wrong:
My RAR file had two directories: 'META-INF' and 'meta-inf'. The first was created
by the jar tool and contained the manifest.mf file. The second I created manually
and it contained my ra.xml and weblogic-ra.xml. When I examined the RAR using
any tools or I extracted the contents, it looked like it only contained one directory:
              META-INF (because NT is case-insensitive).

  • LIBOVD ERROR  - "validateContextToken: workflow session was not found for given context. Create a new workflow session with token"

    Hello everyone,
    I have the following scenario:
We're using "Oracle SOA Suite 11g 11.1.1.7.0" (Patched w/ 17893896) mainly for a BPM/Human workflow composite. Former, we were having the error bellow:
<Mar 16, 2015 1:13:03 PM BRT> <Error> <oracle.soa.services.workflow.query> <BEA-000000> <<.> Verification Service cannot resolve user identity. User weblogic cannot be found in the identity repository. Workflow Context token cannot be null in request.
    ORABPEL-30511
When that error ocurred, no one was able to use the system (BPM/Human Workflow).
I opened an SR, and after some analysis from the support, it recommended me to set up "virtualize=true" in EM, and restarting the domain. Then it started logging the following:
    connection to ldap://[10.200.10.57]:7001 as cn=Admin.
javax.naming.NamingException: No LDAP connection available to process request for DN: cn=Admin.
Looking up on support KB, I found this note Doc ID 1545680.1 and increased from Max size of Connection Pool 10 to 200. That did work successfully! Problem now is that the <SERVER>_diagnostic.log is being filled up with the following error:
[2015-03-31T16:03:46.421-03:00] [soa_server2] [ERROR] [] [oracle.soa.services.workflow.verification] [tid: [ACTIVE].ExecuteThread: '19' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'] [userId: <anonymous>] [ecid: e0194e38aa6c9a2f:39fc1ff9:14c5def5247:-8000-00000000000a5653,0] [APP: soa-infra] <.>    validateContextToken: workflow session was not found for given context. Create a new workflow session with token=51490173-e3d0-41dd-ae99-983915aa8454;;G;;Z+P7Oe9ABnoTUQD9ECryEW2l0/8yRcqPDyZsOWBCuzMmRgA3Qsj601TxmWQ87z2MjuwW5AH+KzgjIwkPmhJFdpc1FrE6Y/MrN1bxIDHJWu2/zP3iSNwKD07hRrh/U37Ea0TvaQyuaHJIog9y3Ptmzw==
One important point is that we're using only the embedded WLS ldap. So I am not 100% sure if we should be using the virtualize flag=true, once all docs I read point out that this should be done when using multi-ldap providers.
Also, I only got this error in the "diagnostic.log".
Although, no user has complained about using the system, I really want to work it out. Anyone has any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance!

I have moved your thread from Certification to SOA Suite to get proper assistance.
    Thanks,
    Lisa

  • Javax.ejb,CreateException import not found

I've upgraded from WL 8.1 to 10.3 and have an error "javax.ejb,CreateException import not found". javax.ejb used to be in weblogic.jar in 8.1 however, this path is empty in the version from 10.3. Where did it go? Do I need a new lib added to my build path?

    javax.ejb.* is in j2ee.jar
if you use weblogic6.0, you need download ejb20.jar from http://www.weblogic.com
if you use weblogic6.1 ,you need't this file.

  • Web Service session manager not found.

I'm trying to understand how to use the HTTP utilities, and I'm having trouble just creating a session.  I get a Web Service session manager not found error.  I've read where the client has to support cookies.  My eventual client will be a labview VI that talks to a web server.  I llooked at the Toolsptions, but don't see anything related to cookies.  Not sure if that's what's causing this anyway, but I'm just digging.  Also, I want to eventually send http messages across TCP/IP.  Do I need to use the TCP/IP VIs (i.e. open connection, etc) or do I use the http utilities alone.  If both are needed, how does the httpRequestID and the TCP/IP connection ID correlate.

  • EJB deployment file not found

Why is it that if I deploy my EJBs with the Source, Generated and DD files located on C: drive and it works, but if I move these files to a network drive and change my deployment to point to the network files it gives me "file not found" errors for the xxxSource.jar, xxxGenerated.jar etc.. ?

Try changing Meta-inf to META-INF... I think it is case sensitive in at least some servers (maybe all).

I have been trying to run a JSF page to see whether or not my toplink implementation has worked and it appears that it hasn't. I am trying to pull an LOV from my database and have it reflect on my page as a drop down list. When I run, the drop down list component shows but it is empty. Please help. Below is the following errors/warnings I receive.

I checked the equals and hashCode implementations and nothing pops out at me. Once this happens, the EJB seems to get messed up in the database and I lose information!
Here is the class implementation along with its superclass. I don't see anything blatant. Sorry for the lack of indentation, my original post was indented.

  • An Enterprise Report Application Server was not found after Deployment

    Thanks:
So I upgrade our internal reports server to Enterprise XI, and adjusted out .Net web application to make.  However, I still get the error listed above.  We have a report application server running and can not find any document online about this problem.  Any ideas?
    Thanks

    Hi Fade,
Ah, the SDK for CR for VS is not what you want. What you need to do is log into Service Market Place and go to the appropriate download section. The SDK is NOT installed as in previous versions with Crystal Reports Designer, it's a separate download now.
I assume you are also using CRSE 2013 then so you get the SDK from SMP:
Then in the list you'll see .NET installer for SP 1 or SP 2, you must use the same patch level as the Server:
If you don't see this option then please contact your account manager to give you access to SMP and the download section.
If you are not set up you will not be able to see the above.
    Thanks
    Don

  • Xfce4-session-helper NOT FOUND

After upgrading xfce4-session the other day,
    [PACMAN] upgraded xfce4-session (4.10.0-6 -> 4.10.0-7)
    These errors appear in syslog:
Apr 29 13:27:56 arch-top slim[342]: (xfce4-session:397): xfce4-session-WARNING **: Unable to launch "xfce4-settings-helper": Failed to execute child process "xfce4-settings-helper" (No such file or directory)
Apr 29 13:27:56 arch-top slim[342]: (xfce4-session:397): xfce4-session-WARNING **: Unable to launch "xfce4-settings-helper": Failed to execute child process "xfce4-settings-helper" (No such file or directory)
They appear twice, together, like above (on startup).

According to http://www.xfce.org/about/tour (one of the first hits for  xfce4-session-helper), this helper was merged into a settings daemon in 4.10. Either it's a bug or you have some leftover bits from 4.8.

  • Enterprise portal version file not found

During sapinst the following error message popped up:
CJS-00328 Enterprise portal version file not found. DIAGNOSIS: The enterprise portal version file was not found at the expected location (6.0.9.0.0). SAPinst cannot check for the required version <#1>. Your enterprise portal software might be too old. Solution: Update the enterprise portal version to <#1> or higher.
Where should I find this version file?
    I'm running NW04 SPS16 (Installed from SR1, and successfully updated to SPS16).

SAP Note 847491 is the solution for the problem:
    From the note:
Copy the portal version file from its current location to the place where the system copy tool looks for it.
    To do so:
    Copy the directory:
    \usr\sap\<XXX>\SYS\global\portal_versions\*.*
    to
    \usr\sap\<XXX>\JC<XX>\j2ee\portal_misc\versions
if you are running on a Unix platform make sure that all the files are owned by the j2eeadm:sapsys owner.

    I am using jdk1.2.2 I even tried with jdk1.3.
    My query is:
Q1. Which is the jar in jdk which provides class files for javax.ejb.EntityBean package ?

  • SOS : Bean not found in 'findByName'

    Hi Rob,
thankx for the fast reply and the detailed explanations.
it's gettings things cleared for me..
let me explain the way I have understood your explanation.
I have an EJB (entity bean) called T_Exception. Suppose, this uses few classes in the jar file frwUtil.jar
So, do you mean to say that I should have a manifest file with the EJB Jar of T_Exception saying "Class-Path: frwUtil.jar" ?
And this frwUtil.jar should be a part of the .ear where I have T_Exception?
I have another EJB (session bean) T_ASM which uses T_Exception and also the classes in frwUtil.jar
So, do you mean to say that I should have a manifest file with the EJB Jar of T_ASM saying something like
    "Class-Path: T_Exception.jar frwUtil.jar" or it just have to be "Class-Path: T_Exception.jar" ?
And this T_Exception.jar or frwUtil.jar doesn't have to be a part of this .ear file it the previous .ear file is already deployed, right?
Please correct me if am wrong.
In short, you are telling me that a support class or jar file which is deployed as part of an .ear file into an application server will be available for another EJB / class file in another .ear file which is also deployed after that. Am I right? I am getting confused in these areas.
Another doubt is about the significance of manifest files.
Is it something like one manifest file per a package / folder or something?
Can I have more than one manifest file for the same package? doesn't sounds logical but just to know
where and all manifest file comes into play? am not sure abt this..
Is there some good tutorial available to learn more about this? if yes, please let me know!
Like you said, setting the $CLASSPATH is definitely a bad practice. We are going to aviod that once this starts working. Thanks for your suggestion.

the same bean is working without any problems like this in 2 - 3 application server instances.
For the same reason, I don't think that there's a prob with the EJB QL used.
But now we are trying to remotely deploy the EJBs and deployment doesnt give an error too.
But the very first call to this bean is giving this error only in this set up.
and we are struggling with this since the past few days.. trying out all possibilities..
    no luck so far.. .:(

can I put all the support classes / jar files into the server the way I
deploy a bean?Yes, make a Jar (or jars) that have the support classes. Package them within
the EAR file and include a Class-Path entry in the manifest of any component
    that uses these classes.
    Here's an example: http://learnweblogic.com/updates/webauction.zip
Do not put the classes in the $CLASSPATH. You will not be able to redeploy
    them if they are there.
mean to ask, can I make a .war or .ear file with all these support jar files
and ca I uplaod to the application server so that when I deploy a bean, it
will have these necessary dependency classes ready in the server? As of now,
I set the classpath in the startweblogic.cmd file which requires a server
restart every now and then I add something to the server classpath.

BlankIs it possible that a corresponding object is not found for this findByName call and hence it throws this?
because we tried accessing the same bean from an ordinary java client and it works!!!
but I thought if it's not finding an Object to return for a given key, it throws FinderException!
am more confused now, I guess..
