Hyperlink in comment is not reported by Word object model

I believe this is a bug with Word. I have verified with Word 2010 & 2013. I did not test with any other version.
If a hyperlink in a comment is the first thing in the comment, the Word object model does not report that there is a hyperlink in the comment. If I modify the comment and add any text (including a space)
before the link, the link will be reported by the object model.
Steps to reproduce:
in a document, go to Review Ribbon and select "New Comment"
type in text, select text, and insert hyperlink (Ctrl+k), in address field add http://www.google.com
Add a new macro that will loop through the comments and report if a hyperlink is found, see code below
I also verified using VSTO the same behavior

Based on the description, you can’t detect the hyperlink in the comments if the hyperlink is at the beginning of the comment. I can’t reproduce the issue by following the steps above like figure below:
The version of Word application is like figure below:
I suggest you trying to update the Office to the latest version to see whether this issue is fixed.

Usage Reporting via client object model

Hi,
Is there any way that I can get the site last modified date, unique visitors per month via client object model?
Is it so that to get the site last modified date i have to loop into all lists/libraries and get the lastitemmodifieddate property?

I do not think CAML Query object creation is required here because we directly get the lastitemmodifieddate property for the list. For e.g. like this and then do some operation on the date to get the recent date.

ReportClientDocument object model, simple question

How can I modify report in runtime using RAS SDK (ReportClientDocument obj model)?
I tried several different ways to modify report (change date format of the field, change field width...), and nothing happens.
all properties seems to be changed but, reportdocument object remains unchanged.

i want to see the object model diagram which shows me
the whole existing project in one place stating how

1. how can i do that in jbuilder?RTFM. If it's supported in the version of JBuilder you use (I think it's only supported in the enterprise edition) it will be mentioned in the manual.

Editable field in ALV Object Model

I'm using method cl_salv_table=>factory to display an ALV (Object Model) in my report.
I want to "open up" one field for user entries, in other words make one column of my table editable.
I assumed to find the respective methods in class cl_salv_table, cl_salv_columns_table or cl_salv_display_settings, so far without getting anywhere.
I know about the field-catalogue and the method set_ready_for_input in class CL_GUI_ALV_GRID - it's not working once you're in the object model.
Any ideas how to do that?

ALV object model - List download

H Experts,
I have used ALV object model to list display.
Also i have used class CL_ALV_COLUMNS_TABLE and its method set_long_text to set the column heading.
Now if i execute this report, long text is displayed properly in column heading.
But when i download this report output in spreadsheet, short text is displayed in column heading which is taken from the data element in DDIC.
Example:
I have declaed a column of type ABWTG.
I have set leng text as 'TEST'.
When i execute the report, column heading is displayed "TEST', which is as expected.
But when i download this report in spreadsheet, column heading is displayed as 'NUMBER' in spread sheet. While downloading column heading is taken from the data element for field ABWTG. But i want the long text 'TEST' to be displayed when the report output is downloaded.
Please suggest how to do it.

As per my understanding , it is displaying in excel based on ur ddic_output_length field.
only becoz of that field it will show the same header.
IF u will change the value at run time for this field then u will not get that issue,

Questions about ALV object model

Hi,
for a new report i´m planing to use the "new" ALV object model to create the ALV list. Now I´ve got two questions concerning this topic:
- is it possible to switch the ALV into the edit mode like it´s possible if the "old" CL_GUI_ALV_GRID class
is used?
- how I can encolor specific cells?
I couldn´t find any hints or demo programms for these questions

How to impersonate in client Object model?

Hii,
I am using client Object Model Programming in WCF service which is hosted on IIS. I have created separate APP pool in IIS which has windows authentication enabled. This App pool account will be dealing with the sharepoint server. Now I am stuck at one point.when
I upload a file, I want to set the actual logged in user as the author or editor of the file not the app pool account. Means I want to impersonate. How can I do this?

Hi I have tried both the options.
The first option works fine.It impersonates all the user calls. But I wan to use serviceaccount and useraccount at times. Coule you please look in the below code and let me know why it is failing?

I have an IIS app pool account to interact with the sharepoint server. but there are cases when I need to use the logged in users credentials instead of appPool account when doing some operations like uploading a document. So I decided to impersonate. I
added the below code in the web.config file so that all server calls are impersonated.

Object Model - cl_salv_hierseq_table Check box in the parent entry

Hi,
I am doing a report with cl_salv_hierseq_table (Object Model) , in that i need to put a check box in the t_table_level1 level. I know that SALV is not have an option to edit.
My requirement is from the list user select multiple parent entries (ie t_table_level1 ) and selected entries must be converted to web template and send to HTML repository.
Currently i am struck up with creating a check box in HIERSEQ list

SSRS - Rdl Object Model approach validity to genrate .rdl file on the fly

Hi,
I see that, if you want to generate RDL files programmatically using c# we have the approach of using XMLDocument object.
However I also found that, we can use Rdl object model dll to generate .rdl files. As per the link -

the support is discontinued and still there are no updates. Can somebody tell me why Rdl Object model approach to generate .rdl was discontinued or never made as public by micorosoft?
So what is the best way microsoft promotes to generate rdl? using XMLDocument only?

The RdlObjectModel is still available in SQL Server 2008 R2 Reporting Services and SQL Server 2012. It’s true that the SQL Server Reporting Services product team once considered discounting the RDL object model in SSRS 2008 R2, but eventually the feature
