Has this happened once, or repeatedly.  If you haven't yet, can you compose and send another email and report what happens?
Also, if you set up an account on www.hpeprintcenter.com you can see more status/connectivity info on your web-connected printer.
Use your personal email address to create your account, then use the Add Printer button and enter your printer's email address to add your printer to your account.
You may need to reprint your web services info sheet to enable your printer for adding it to your ePrintCenter account - your printer's email address can only be used to add it to an ePC account for 24 hours after printing the info sheet.  Reprinting the info sheet doesn't change your email address, it just re-enables your printer to be added to your ePC account.
The steps to reprting your info sheet vary by product:
Photosmart Printers:
Depending on the printer model, either via the Setup>Wireless>Web Services Settings menu, or on other printers via the ePrint icon on the front panel display – select the ePrint icon and select the “Print Report” button on the Web Services status screen.
eStation -Select the Menu button on the eStation display (to the right of the Home and Back buttons at the top left when the display is docked on the printer); Scroll down to the ePrint section; Select the blue "Web Services" settings link on the right of the ePrint section; Select the Print ePrint Information option
Officejet printers:
Depending on the printer model, either via the Setup > Web Services Setup >Printer Email Address menu, or on other printers via the ePrint icon on the front panel display – select the ePrint icon and select the “Print” button on the ePrint Status screen.
LaserJet printers:
Print a configuration page from your product, and locate the IP address.
At your computer, open a Web browser and type the product IP address into the address line. The HP Embedded Web Server opens.
Click the HP Web Services tab.
Click the Print Information Sheet button.
Once you have reprinted your info sheet and added your printer to your account, you will see the "ePrint Settings" button on the Printers tab on ePC.

    Suggestions?
    Thanks -

I just viewed the website on my computer, and it appears to be working okay on my end. It's possible that there's a setting in your web browser responsible for what you're seeing. I would recommend trying the following steps:
    1. Try to view the site in a different web browser to see if that's the issue. Normally, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Firefox, and Safari all display the website properly. Try one or two of those (other than the one you've been using) and it should do the trick.
    2. If that doesn't work, try resetting Internet Explorer's default settings by clicking "Tools" (on the top menu bar), "Internet Options" (usually at the bottom of that list), "Advanced" (far-right tab), and "Reset" (towards the bottom-right of that box). After resetting the defaults, try viewing the ePrint Settings area again.

  • "Try Selecting a Different Printer or File Type" Error - iPad2 - Officejet Pro 8600 - ePrint error

    Greetings...
I just got an Officejet Pro 8600 and I've been trying to get web pages to print using HP ePrint from my iPad 2 (iOS 7.0.6). I go into the ePrint app, go to web page of choice, and then click on my printer option to print. It renders on screen and then throws out the following error:
"Try Selecting a Different Printer or File Type" "Officejet Pro 8600 [5124FC] doesn't support this file type."
I can use ePrint from the iPad to print pictures from camera roll.
This only is problematic when I try to print web pages (I tried amazon.com for test).
I have no problems doing this from my iPhone...only the iPad.
I've tried rebooting device and trying again....same thing.
Anybody know how to fix this? I really want to be able to print web pages from my iPad.
    Thanks in advance...
    Possie

    Hello Possie,
Thank you for the update.  I have to say I'm surprised and disappointed that the uninstall and reinstall did not resolve the issue, especially since you can print the page from your iPhone.
I have spent some time researching this and working with my colleagues in HP's Cloud Services and we have a couple of suggestions/questions.
Do you get the same error when you try to print the web page using Apple's AirPrint feature?
Please ensure the iPad is connect to your home wireless network and try to print again.
Please try changing the settings in the ePrint app before printing the web page.  Please ensure that the paper quality is set to normal (see screen shot below) and that the paper size is set to letter (see 2nd screen shot below).
Please let us know how it goes.

Hi there, this issue can usually be resolved by deleting your browsers cache and restarting the browser. Other forum users have confirmed that using an alternative browser type can also work (Mozilla FF and Google Chrome have both been cited).
Try these suggestions and see how you get on.

  • EPrint error message: "Ajax submit failed: error = 403, Forbidden": what to do?

Wow---never have I had such a problem installing a program---4.5 hours without success . . . I followed the instructions (though perhaps not the 'missing' instruction---what is it?
I installed HP ePrint Home and Biz (from Android Market)---for printing from my smartphone---but it did not work.  I went to HP ePrint Center.
I obtained the printer IP address (for an HP LaserJet P1102w) and did a firmware update.
The instructions said to "Print Info Sheet"; this included to go to eprintcenter.com---and to create a new account.  I did that---but the instructions also referred to "In the Entere Printer Code text box, type the printer code found on the information sheet."  Problem was:  there never was a "Printer "Code text box."
I tried every variation I could  think of . . . but (a) never saw a "Printer Code text box" and (b) always ran into the dead end message of "Ajax submit failed: error = 403, Forbidden".
I am obviously missing something . . . any suggestions on what to try?

Try google chrome browser. Only one that worked for me

  • EPrint error - won't print from designated e-mail address

    Hi,
I have just set up ePrint, but can't get it to work.
I have entered the correct e-mail address which I am sending a PDF document from (as an attachment), yet when I log in to see the progress of my print job I get the message "DISCARDED email sender is not an allowed sender".
I have looked in the trouble shooting section of the web, the printer is online and connected to the network. I have not put in any additional recipients etc, etc, so am at a loss as to why it's not working.
    Please help!

You may read this article in particular the section where it mentions the file types and size limitations.
Please review the ePrint terms and limitations listed below:

  • EPrint - sending email from my company email to ePrint - still getting error messages

    Hi
i just bought a new Officejet AiO 4620 and installed it. Works fine. I also registered it on ePrint. I requested at ePrint that the ePrint will only work for choosed pre-approved emails. Most of them are private ones and work. However I also registered my business email of my employer and if I send emails from my business email, even registered on ePrint, error messages come up. Any idea what the issue can be and how I can resolve it? I would like to prevent to open ePrint for ANYONE, I would prefer the option preapproved emails only. Thx for any guidance. Chris

  • Pdf does not eprint. Pdf was created using Acrobat 9

Why did I get this message
    Unprinted Attachments:EXBH20110603.pdf
    ePrint Error
The print job was cancelled because the print job included photos that were too low in quality to print with good results.

    Hey rahughes1,
The reason that this job failed is because the attachments may have included photos or pictures that were less than 100 dpi in resolution. ePrint will not print a picture unless it has a higher resolution.

  • Missed printer code, but printer added, but won't eprint...says not allowed but I'm the main user

I installed my Photosmart 7510--no problems, but didn't see that I needed to enter a printer code. I was still able to add the printer but  tried to eprint--error message said I wans't allowed but I was the one who set everything up. This was within a few hours...well within the 24 hour limit. I don't want to disable web services and lose my printer's email address. Not sure if the printer code thing is a problem and not sure what to do about not being able to eprint. Help!

That 5.0a2 version is old as Firefox 5.0 has been on the Beta channel for some time now and is due for release on June 21 next week (despite what some sites wrongly claim).
Firefox 6.0a2 has been getting developed on the Aurora channl for a few weeks now.
You should update to recent Firefox 5.0 beta 7 at http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/channel/ or update when 5.0 is released.
