Error #1009 - the most stupid AS3 loader issue ever !!!

Hi,
(It's about AS3 / Flash CS4)
As a developer I often have no controll what is the content of a movie being runtime-loaded. I must presume I have no control on it at all - movie clips are marketed and sold and the only thing expected is that they play nice. And they are supposed to be runtime-loaded by a simple "progress-bar" style loader.
The loader movie itself is fine. Though it's not sort of these tricky "no timeline, document-class only" it used to do the job.
The main code is as folllows:
FRAME 2:
var thisRequest:URLRequest = new URLRequest("movie.swf");
var thisLoader:Loader = new Loader();
var newContent:MovieClip;
thisLoader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, doneLoading);
function doneLoading(evt:Event):void{
    newContent = MovieClip(thisLoader.content);
        //stage.addChild(newContent); -- please notice I commented this line !!!
FRAME 3:
thisLoader.load(thisRequest);
As you may see, it's nothing special - just regular loader stuff here...
But the issue is that it throws errors just in case of some loaded SWFs.
Another words - the content and structure of movie.swf impact the loader performance!
Too often I notice this kind of error being thrown right after "thisLoader.load(thisRequest);" is execuded:
TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.
at movie_fla::MainTimeline/frame8()
Right after - that means BEFORE adding loaded movie to the Stage childlist etc.
I said - right after movie.swf is invoked by the "load" command !
This is really rediculous!
I do not expect this sort of behavior! I expect the loaded movie to be quiet unless explicitly added to stage with:
stage.addChild(newContent);
But in a contrary - it seems the loaded movie becomes somewhat active right after being loaded - even before being added to stage. And in some cases this prematured activity leads to hard-to-controll errors! Please notice the error is thrown despite line where loaded content is added to stage is commented!
I said what I wanted to say - now dear Flash AS3 experts and mastahakas please - give me some advice what to do in this situation.
I am really, really confused as I want to write clean, error-free code and I get run out of ideas how to deal with this nasty issue.
Rgs,
Ziggi

Yeap,
I found the solution:
thisLoader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(Event.INIT, initLoading);
function initLoading(e:Event){
    newContent = MovieClip(thisLoader.content);
    newContent.stop();
So, stopping the loaded movie in this handler do the job...
Stupid anyway!

  • ITS Error: "Use the most recent SAPGUI"

    We currently have an SRM 4.0 system with support package 6 with a basis
    component at 640 suport package 13. We are using the classic scenario
    and are connected to an R/3 system what was recently upgraded to ECC
    6.  When we attempt to try to use the WBS, Cost Center or asset search
    helps we get the following error: "Use the most recent SAPGUI
    version".  We can click past the error and eventually get the search
    results.
    This issue does not occur when we switch over to using the internal ITS
    in SRM 4.0.  Since SAP currently supports SRM 4.0 connected to ECC 6.0,
    the fact that we are using the external ITS in SRM 4.0 should not be an
    issue since it is still supported.
    Does anyone know If there is a requirement for our SRM system to be on the internal ITS
    while connecting to an ECC 6 system?  Also, can anyone please let us know and/or provide any
    published document that states this, I have not found anything that
    states this requirement.
    Regards,
    -Paul

    Hello there
    I'm not quite sure what differences to HCM the SRM has but we had the same problem. Please check OSS Note 905135 and following. As far as I know the 6.20 external ITS was the last "external" version. Which means all scenarios connecting to a 2004s or higher system need to use other technologies or the internal ITS.
    Lots of luck.

  • The most frustrating software i have ever used.

    I am getting an error message "The localized resource files for this application could not be loaded.  Please reinstall or repair the application and try again.  This I have been doing since 9:00 a.m. this morning.  I purchased the Student version of Illustrator 4 and photoshop 4 for my highschooler who is planning on majoring in graphic arts.  I am no IT person but I have loaded software before.  I have been trying to load (correctly) illustrator for the past two weeks.  At each step there was a problem that took me days/ to resolve.  As i said, I am no IT person.  Below is  a message I posted earlier today.  I finally found an answer posted by someone named Bret and it worked!!!!!.  Please can someone help me with the above problem.  I am so afaid of installing Photoshop extended if I can get illustrator.
    I am far from being an IT person and am very frustrated in loading this software.   I purchased the student version of Adobe photoshop  CS4 extended and Adobe Illustrator CS4.  My daughter had put a trial version on our computer for an art project. A month later I purchased both Adobe photoshop cs4 extended  and Illustrator 4.  I had trouble loading illustrator until I deleted the trial version.  After deleting cs4 extended, the illustrator worked. However something messed up my printer.  I did a system restore (opps) which messed up my Macafee virus.  I finally fixed Macafee with the help of the customer service.  However, the system restore took off the illustrator and put the cs4 extended version back on.  What a DAY.  I waited a week to try to reinstall illustrator and the CS4 extended.  Now my system will not let me uninstall the trial version nor put illustrator on correctly.  Help--you are my only hope.

    Did you read the systems requirements?

  • The most stupid java.SQL.Error ever....can You handle this?

    hello there...:) this is veeery strange error:
    java.sql.SQLException: [Microsoft][SQLServer 2000 Driver for JDBC]ResultSet can not re-read row data for column 5.
    and what next?
    (in DB this column type is "text" and Java can not read it and convert to "String".
    I've tried:
    String zzz = (String) ResultSet.getObject("columnName");
    and even
    convert(varchar(2000),columnName) columnName)
    in SQL and still having the same error)
    does someone know what to do next?
    I'll recieve any suggestions with big pleasure :)

    This is one of the gotchas with JDBC. From the JavaDoc for ResultSet: "For maximum portability, result set columns within each row should be read in left-to-right order, and each column should be read only once."
    With some drivers you can read the columns out of sequence and multiple times, others you can't.
    The first time you hit this problem it drives you insane (I know it did me).

    Dear Kulamani,
    The question that I wanted answering is why is it not NOW possible to buy iTunes from other countries, in the past this has not been a problem?
    Credit Cards can be used to purchase other items on-line from other countries through-out the World, from the UK.
    Is it that iTunes are now going to offer music from other countries on the UK web-site? If not how do we get music that we may wish to purchase from other countries onto our iPod, do we now need to buy a house in that Country and become a resident?
    I would like an explanation to these points.
    Many thanks
    Best regards

    Dear Customer,
    Welcome again to Apple iTunes store support. This is Kulamani again to assist you regarding this issue.
    I understand that you live in United Kingdom and you wish to purchase items from the iTunes Store in Germany. If you would like to purchase from an iTunes Store in a particular country, you must have both a residential address and a billing address in that particular country.
    Items on any particular country's iTunes Store are available only for distribution to customers who use a credit card, debit card, iTunes Gift Certificate, or iTunes Gift Card issued in and for that country.
    For example, the U.S. iTunes Store can only sell to U.S. residents using credit cards or debit cards that were issued in and for the U.S., or U.S. residents using iTunes Gift Certificates or Gift Cards that were purchased in the U.S.
    Please note that to purchase from an iTunes Store for a particular country, you must:
    - Be located in that country
    - Have a valid billing address in that country
    - Pay with either a credit/debit card issue in that country or an iTunes Gift Certificate or Card purchased in that country

    No, this does not help at all. I can order from Amazon in other countries - so why can I not download music from other countries? This used to be no problem at all and I was charged in pounds for it. This shows again that Apple is rubbish - the whole palaver of having to have Apple connections to just load your I-pod is bad enough. Plus: you have not commented on the rather sad stereotyping of Germans as either Nazis or beer-guzzling oafs as suggested by the 'German' music section. I would like to have a response to this, since I find this offensive and racist.
    Yours,

    - Be located in that country
    - Have a valid billing address in that country

    Here's how to access your store:
    1) Make sure you're using the latest version of iTunes. It can be downloaded free of charge from the iTunes website:
    http://www.itunes.com/download
    Note: Installing the latest version of iTunes will not affect any items you may already have in your Library.

    3) Go to the iTunes Store.

    It has always been a violation of the terms of use of itunes store to buy from a store of which you are not a resident ( as verified by cc billing address) and from a country in which you are not physically located.

  • Error at the time of Post Goods Issue

    Dear All,
    I am getting an error when I am doing the post goods issue the error says that Field Selection Movement Type 601 Differs for Business Area.Though we went to the respective table RM07CUFA and rectified the same what could be the cause of this error and why does this happen.
    Best Regards
    Atul Keshav

    Hi,
    The reason for this error is because of field group in movement type and accounts might be differ.
    You can check the same as below :
    Go to transaction OMWB ---> click on simulation ---> mention plant and material and movement type
    and click on account assignments
    Now click on check screen layout
    Now check for Business area in additional account assignment whether entry is required in movement type and supress in GL accounts.
    Changes the fields status then.
    This will solve the issue

  • Error downloading the Application/Framework files: DMZ issues

    We have the sync servlet outside the DMZ. Users can do a sync of the data using this but when they want to download the WAR file (The Framework or Application) it doesnt let them do it.
    The workaround that our basis guy has come up with is to go the Table where the PATH of the WAR file is stored (you can see this path in the Webconsole) and changed the relative name to include the full http://... name. This works, however is there a way to specify the location of framework or application file when we upload it using the WebConsole to include the full path instead of the relative path?
    Thanks in advance

    There is a field in the WebConsole where you can enter the domain name when uploading the war file.
    When you click on "Upload Mobile Component", there is a text box named: "Domain in URL". Enter something like: company.com
    In this way, the URL for app download will have a full qualified name.
    Hope that helps.

  • This is probably the most stupid question ever but..

    how do i log out of the apple site on the computer? lolz. i am using the school computer and i dont want to leave and then have my account used.

    What "Apple site" are you referring to? If you are referring to the iTunes Store, go to the Store menu in iTunes and choose "Sign Out".
    If that's not what you mean, please explain further.
    This wouldn't seem to be related to an iPod touch, BTW.

  • Probably the most stupid question ever....

    Hey,
    Is there any possible way to upgrade the processor speed? Or do i have to buy a new computer with a faster processor to get the job done?
    Thanks in advance

  • The Most Stupid and Idiotic thing...

    Is there anyway to manually download an official copy of iOS4? the idiot iTunes way of doing it is very stressful. Crap.I am trying to attempt to download almost 10 times now. It quits when it is about to finish. An the worst part is that it does not continue where it left off. It starts all over again. How idiot is that?? I am so stressed with this feature. • The most stupid question by me

    I have a new ipod. How many computers can I connect it to?
    My kids say three or five (depending on the weather).
    The reason I'm asking is:
    1. My nano is not recognized by my mac running OS 10.3.9
    2. I bought a new iBook, due five days from now.
    3. My two kids run windows and will be getting new iBooks for gifts soon. I would like to use their computers for the next four days to upload onto the nano.
    Is there a connection restriction to the ipod preventing me from further use?

    You can connect the iPod to as many computers as you like. The limit of 5 computers you are hearing about has to do with the number of computers that can be authorised to play content that you purchase from the iTunes Store. If you want to connect and use an iPod on more than one computer you need to change the update preference in the iPod Summary tab to "Manually manage music and videos" and click Apply. In this mode you can directly access the content of the iPod and play it through iTunes and you can drag and drop whatever you want to the iPod from either library:
    Using iPod with Multiple computers
    Managing content manually on iPod
    iPod 101: Fill 'er Up
    About iTunes Music Store Authorisation and Deauthorisation
    Something else to be aware of when using an iPod in manual mode is that the "Do Not Disconnect" message will remain on the display until you physically eject the device. In that case use Safely Remove Hardware icon in the Windows system tray on your desktop or check this link: Safely Disconnect IPod

  • The most frustrating program I've ever used

    This is my second go around with itunes and can't believe a company whos latest ad campaign focuses on how simple the apple computer is to use could actually release this piece of garbage. I consider myself to be an advance user and have loaded files on to every conceivable type of portable media device without issue with total ease. Trying to load or delete files is an absolute nightmare. Please don't tell me to read the manual because I have read the very minimal information in the manual and it does not explain one iota of how to use this program. Very dissapointing, I am seriously thinking of returning my 30g video and buying a zune or a zen.

    It has always worked right, out of the box. HOWEVER, I have to admit I am still using iTunes version 6 because it DOES work right and I have found no reason to update to version 7 since v6 ain't broke for me. So there is that chance that going to version 7 could result in trouble, but I am wimping out and sticking with stable ol' version 6.

  • I have the most messed up iTunes/Mac ever at the moment.

    Hello. This is going to take a while to explain, but thank you in advance if you are brace enough to tackle this problem.
    This is how it started..
    I had an itunes library already and it was perfectly sorted etc. I don't know what was going on behind the scenes in terms of music folders etc, but in itunes it looked great. Then I took some music off my friends mac. Basically I wasn't thinking at the time so I should dragged and dropped whatever I wanted into myhardrive without creating a folder or anything (Like i said i wasn't thinking). Then when it came to putting the new (1000 songs approx) onto my laptop I stupidly just command + A'd my entire harddrive and copy and pasted it into itunes. So needless to say everything in my harddrive, like my past back ups of my mac etc, went into my itunes. It took hours to transfer over by which time i was starting to realise my mistake and sobbed whilst leaving it on over night to finish transferring.
    Anyway thats the first catalyst in the construction of this mess..The plot, unfortunately, thickens.
    My itunes obviously had ALOT of duplicates and through running a little experiment with a song i didnt care about losing i noticed that if you 'display duplicates' and delete all the duplicates this doesnt leave ANY copies of the song in itunes, which is beyond annoying and almost makes the feature redundant, for my needs anyway. I also had all the random mac 'sounds' and random things that shouldnt have been in itunes due to me copying EVERYTHING from my harddrive into poor itunes.
    So I recruited some help from a friend. This was his plan: Delete everything in itunes, go back on time machine and back up itunes from there so i was back to the position i was in before transferring everything from the harddrive and then going back into my harddrive and importing the music in a more organised, less hasty manner. So he backed up my itunes as it was just incase something went wrong. This took a good half hour and he named the folder 'new old itunes'. Then he deleted the contents of itunes and went backin itunes to my last back up and restored itunes. However this is where things start to go more wrong. There was lots of stuff missing, as if the back up hadnt worked. Like the albums would be incomplete etc. So we went into the folder mentioned above 'new old itunes' and in there too there was music missing. If you clicked on an album it would be empty or only have 3 tracks when there should be like 15 or whatever.
    Anyway he had to go, so i started doing some investigating and the music is still on my mac, just in random folders. so one particular song for instance wouldnt be in my itunes, wouldnt be in the back up, wouldnt be in the 'old new itunes' but if i searched for the track name in finder i would find it in other folders.
    I know im getting a bit sketchy on the finer details but im not 100% what my friend did, this isnt his fault just itunes and mac acting funky but its even worse now. Anyway I seem to have multiple copies of lots of music. The music from the import that messed everything up is still on my mac in random places and needless to say, due to all these duplicates all over the place, my mac is full to the brim so i need to delete stuff but am unsure of what is safe to delete!
    There is probably stuff i have missed out that if you suggest something to me i might reply saying that i have tried that and explain why it didnt work, please dont think im being rude. I've spent many hours trying to sort this and i think i have probably inadvertently messed it up more! I have delete the folder mentioned above, but it is still in my trash so could get it again, but as mentioned it is incomplete anyway.
    If someone has any clue how to solve this i would be very very grateful, im so sad about it. I like having my itunes all nice!
    Basically i want all the music, pre-mess up and all the new music on my harddrive to be in my itunes all nice and stuff.
    Many thanks in advance and I'm sorry that its a long one and ive been lacking in grammar and punctuation alot.

    Well, indeed that does not sound like a fun situation to be in. But, it is VERY good you are using Time Machine.
    Let me explain, that there are two options when it comes to storing files in iTunes. When you import files, it will either leave the file in its original location on the hard drive and iTunes will know its location, or it will copy the file and store it in Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Music/Artist_Name/Album_Name/, IF you have the option enabled titled "Keep iTunes Media folder organized."
    I imagine you have it set to copy everything into the iTunes Media folder, which explains why your hard drive is filling up. Otherwise no extra space would have been taken up.
    Therefore, my recommendation is this:
    Quit iTunes first. Then navigate to ~/Music in Finder, then Enter Time Machine. Restore the ENTIRE iTunes folder in that location from a previous backup that occurred BEFORE this whole thing happened. Depending on how much space you have left on your hard drive, it may be wise to first delete the entire current iTunes folder. The restore could take a long time, depending on how much data you have in iTunes.
    This will guarantee you get back to a previous library, exactly as it was at that date and time. Yes, it may be a bit overkill but it is by far the simplest solution. Hope that works!

  • TS5376 iTunes once again won't close. Past versions of iTunes had the most annoying behavior that when ever closed it would immediately reopen. Apple update just installed the latest version and the problem is back. Help.

    Past versions of iTunes for Windows had the annoying behavior that it couldn't be closed. If I tried to exit or close the window iTunes would just open back up again. It had gone away, but apple just installed version 11.1.5.5 and it's back! The only way to exit is to open task manager and kill the process. Nothing else seems to work. Guess what Apple, I really don't want to have iTunes open all the time. I think the only answer is to stop using iTunes, since I don't have any Apple devices anyway, and go with a different music player on my PC.

    Thanks.
    Just in case, we'd better check on another old potential culprit (don't see it reported much lately, though) ... do you have any Logitech gaming software installed on the PC?
    If so, perhaps try the suggestion from the following post:
