Error: 1238 when creating vm template from a virtual machine
Hi,
I encounter a issue when creating a VM template from a virtual machine whihc is store on hyper host, Can anyone give a suggestion to resolve it.
The virtual machine Windows 2008 R2 20110722 cannot be used in this operation because it is on a perimeter network.
Move virtual machine Windows 2008 R2 20110722 off of the perimeter network or select a virtual machine that is not on a perimeter network, and then try the operation again.

vCenter has a different concept of what it means to be a template than SCVMM does.
If you are copying the VHD to the SCVMM Library and building a Template form that, be sure that the OS in the VM is generalized by running sysprep.
Otherwise, your VMs from that template will fail deployment. This is what the SCVMM process of creating a Template from a VM does, it applies sysprep to the VM, then copies it (the VM (VHD + configuration) to the Library, then deletes it.
You can also compose a template using a sysprep prepared VHD that already exists in the Library.
Now, a non-domain joined Hyper-V server is a different thing from a 'perimeter' host. That has to do with how it was added to SCVMM.

Error 1099 when creating express VI from a VI
I am trying to create a new express VI from an existing VI and am getting the following error:
Error 1099 occurred at Property Node (arg 1) in byob_Create Controls & Inds.vi->byob_GUI Create Block.vi->Block Builder Wizard.vi
Possible reason(s):
LabVIEW: Scripting: SubVI is not loaded.
Property Name: VI Name
This error happens after doing the following:
1. Open the Create or Edit Express VI dialog
2. Click New
3. Select the Create from a VI radio button and click Next
4. Select the VI to make the express VI from and click OK
5. Click Next without changing the defaults for the terminals
6. Enter an Express VI name (use the default path) and click Finish
I am wondering what might be causing this error and how to correct the trouble.This bug was introduced in LabVIEW 2013. It is too late for me to get a fix into LabVIEW 2014, but I will file a CAR to get it fixed in a future version.
For now, you can fix the issue in LabVIEW 2013 or 2014 by following these steps:
1. Backup the following file on your system: LabVIEW 20xx\project\ExpressDev.llb
2. Replace it with the version attached to this forum post.
3. (LabVIEW 2014 only) Mass compile ExpressDev.llb.

Is there a way to create Timecard Templates from backend? I tried to create one with the following steps, but did not work. Throws a HXC_HXT_DEP_VAL_ORAERR
The Oracle error is: &ERROR
1. Create TIMECARD_TEMPLATE scope BB using hxc_timestore_deposit.create_bb
2. Create Template_Name Attribute on the above BB
3. Create DAY BB
4. Create DETAIL BB for DAY BB

The following error occurs when creating a PDF file using a document that was created from a MS Word 2007 templates.
"Macros in this project are disabled..."
The security settings are set appropriately - it's not that. I have done everything I can think of including asking Microsoft; they say it's not them. It may not be, but I do not know how to get around it. It did not happen before upgrading my templates to the Office 2007 format.
Has this happened to anyone else? There is no coding within th etemplates regartding PDFs. We are using Adobe Professional X. The error only occurs when we use Adobe Pro X.
One thing I just noticed, our templates get the following message when we go to save as a PDF using Adobe:
Acrobat PDFMAker needs to save the file before continuing. Do you want PDFMaker to save the file and continue?Does it work the first time after you delete your Normal.dotm file? You may be running into the same issue that is detailed in this post Unable to open document. Please check to see if you have read permission for the above file.

Many ThanksSwitch your FCP preferences to show frames and see what's happen at that frame number. Try trash any render files. Switch off background rendering. Don't render. Try replacing the clip at the problem area.

When creating a PDF from a PPT or Keynote application on a Mac using Acrobat X Pro, how do I ensure it can be opened on a PC? Do I need to save as a particular version of Acrobat?
The system was not my own, it was on a PC belonging to the school where I teach. The error message referred to Acrobat 9.0, so I assume that the problem is to do with the version on which the file was created being more recent than that on which I attempeted to open it.

Error occurs when loading transaction data from other model
Hello Experts, I am trying to validate my transformation file and I can see peculiar behaviour of the transformation file. Even though the transformation file is not complete/ complete with all the mappings, i am getting the same error as above.
I can see options, mapping and conversion sections are validating successfully and throwing the above error.

So I've been trying to export a video file from Motion 5 (and FCPX), and I keep recieving the message "The operation could not be completed because an error occurred when creating frame 0 (error -1)". I've found the problem has something to do with a video file in the project, Ive tried multiple versions of said file, in multiple formats (.mov, h264, etc.), and I keep getting the same result. The file was originaly a 640x480 wmv file. Any suggestions?
I ended up figuring out a solution, but I'll get to that in a sec.
To answer your question, I converted the .wmv file in a program called Media Converter (available in the App store), and converted it to an h.264 file (then later to a .mov file, and then to an .mpg). I could view the file, and work with it in projects, but any project I tried to output with any version of said file, would result in the afor mentioned message, with the same results in FCPX (and Compressor 4 as well). I tried multiple frame rates, resolutions, files types, re-converting the file, all with no luck. My impression from said experiments, and reading other discussions was that it was a corrupt file.
Then I got frisky...and a little desperate. I brought the converted file (the .wmv to .mov) into Motion 4... and an export worked first try. So I exported a pro-res file from Motion 4, and used that file in the already built Motion 5 project, and voila!
So, who knows what that means in real terms, as for the whats and whys. -

best regards,It is usually a permissions issue.. you have read but not write permission. Why it would suddenly change is one of those Apple Mysteries... but it happens.
Open the directory (folder) where your media files are.. and check the permissions.. see if you can fix them.
The problem is the folder on the TC might have lost your ownership and you might not be able to change it.. Apple do not provide anyway to regain permissions because you would need low level access to the TC firmware.
I would just as a matter of course reset the TC to factory and redo its setup.
Factory reset universal
Power off the TC.. ie pull the power cord or power off at the wall.. wait 10sec.. hold in the reset button.. be gentle.. power on again still holding in reset.. and keep holding it in for another 10sec. You may need some help as it is hard to both hold in reset and apply power. It will show success by rapidly blinking the front led. Release the reset.. and wait a couple of min for the TC to reset and come back with factory settings. If the front LED doesn’t blink rapidly you missed it and simply try again. The reset is fairly fragile in these.. press it so you feel it just click and no more.. I have seen people bend the lever or even break it. I use a toothpick as tool.
N.B. None of your files on the hard disk of the TC are deleted.. this simply clears out the router settings of the TC.
Do the setup via airport utility using different names.. short, no spaces and pure alphanumerics. Make sure passwords are also pure alphanumeric mixed case and numbers.. 8-20 characters is usually plenty.
Mount the disk in finder and see if you have the same issue.. I am not expecting a change.. but it is worth a try.
No luck you can copy your files off the TC.. wipe it .. and then copy them back.. no bad thing unless you already have a backup of your files at the moment. In which case you can just wipe the TC and copy the files now. -
