When I check my boot SSD drive using Disk Utility under Mavericks, I often get "Incorrect number of extended attributes" errors.  But if I boot off an external drive and check the same SSD, no errors are reported.
This happens not just with the SSD in my Mac Mini, but with another SSD in my MacBook (both now running Mavericks).  So far as I know, all of the kit I am using is in good order (despite the file corruption reports).  So I am beginning to wonder if it could be due to a bug in Mavericks?  Both SSD drives have been formatted to MacOS Extended (journaled) format.  Should I have used a different format, I wonder?
Has anyone else encountered this issue?
    Does anyone have a solution?
Or an explanation that might help my investigation of the issue?
    Thanks guys,

I understand that the Corsair Force 3 is not one of the SSD drives that are supported on Apple Macs.
I did try downloading and using Trim Enabler, but the error message came up both when it was off and when it was on.
I understand that not everyone thinks Trim Enabler is a good program, though there is a new version out now, so I may give it another try.

  • I NEED TO SPEAK WITH A PERSON!!!!!!  Error 150:30 CS4 on Mavericks 10.9.4

    I'm having a major licensing issue: Error 150:30 CS4 on Mavericks 10.9.4
I've read & tried the solutions from the "community."
    https://forums.adobe.com/message/6507402
    NOT Helpful!!!
    I can not locate the folder : /Library/Preferences/FLEXnet Publisher/
I DID: Adobe Licensing Repair tool:
ERROR: "can't open application bc PowerPC applications are no longer supported
I DID: Repair Disk Permissions on HD
I want to make sure that I've done everything possible before I uninstall/reinstall.
    PLEEEEASE HELP!

My recommendation: Use the Adobe Cleaner tool to clean all the CS software off your hard drive:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html
Download a new copy of your CS4 installer files here:

    Using the installer, install again.

  • When I try and open Illustrator CS4 on my 2008 macbook running Mavericks I get a message telling me that Licensing for this product has stopped working' Error 150:30

Has anyone encountered this error message?

According to Google a couple of folks had this error.
    For instance here:

  • Error 150:30, "Licensing for this product has stopped working"

I recently updated my Mac OS, and am getting error 150:30, "Licensing for this product has stopped working" on all my CS4 products. The license repair tool will not launch in Mavericks. Help?

CS4 is completely unsupported under Mavericks and using an upgraded
operating system is nothing short of a crapshoot.
Unfortunately, you are completely on your own here.

  • How do I fix error 150:30

So, I have the error 150:30, and i have tried to do what it says on the help page, the file FlexNet Publisher was not there and the disk untility didn't work, i even tried the restarting like it said on the original error, Nothing happened at all. I am using CS4, and i have a mac with OS Maverick (10.9.2). I'm at the option about the uninstalling and reinstalling, but it says to disable the serial number, i tried to do it, but going under the program there is not a help option. This is all I get when it comes up. But there is no help option so I don't think i can uninstal and reinstal them. So what do i do to figure this out? I can't resolve error 150:30 and none of my CS4 programs work. Please help.

The solution is a bit convoluted.  Remove the ~ and look for Flexnet , find the folder.  It is hidden somewhere. Then download the repair tool.  The repair tool has to be downloaded in Chrome or another browser not safari to work. Then open the tool. Within that tool are a couple of repair files. If you enter those in the correct order onto terminal you then get asked if you want to run in English or Japanese.  (see apple forum) . This seems to work. Oh, and maybe also fix the read write permissions.  4 hours with Adobe and they even dialed in and unable to repair.  I finally managed to do this from a queue on the Apple forum but I think Adobe did help with doing the overwriting of the permissions. They however didn't suggest patching the repair into the sudo python line.

  • Photoshop CS4 - Licensing Error 150:30

I have a MacBook with the OS X Maverick Operating System and have had no prior issues using my Photoshop CS4. My computer recently crashed and had to have my operating system re-installed. I tried to open up Photoshop today and this window popped up: "Licensing for this product has stopped working". I tried restarting the computer like the window mentioned and that did nothing. I also tried the solutions listed on the Adobe website for the Error: 150:30 and nothing has worked. My main problem is I cannot finish the "solutions" because I cannot locate the folder "FlexNet" or "FlexNet Licensing" or anything of that nature that is referred to in the solutions.

The Licensing repair tool does work. OSX 10.7 and above:
Download and open LicenseRecovery111.dmg on your Desktop
Open Terminal and type sudo and leave a space. <do not press "Enter" yet>.
Open the License Folder on the opened LicenseRecovery111.dmg and drag
"LicenseRecover.py" file into the Terminal Window.
The sudo command and path to the .py file should look like the screenshot below.
    Press Enter to begin
Type in your password, but know that you will not see dots or asterisks as you type.
Press Enter again, let the script run and finish. You should be able to run Photoshop now.
(If this answer solves it, mark it as "correct" or get back to me if it doesn't.)

Do I need to uninstall CS4 and reinstall?
    Unfortunately yes.
Also run the Cleaner Tool prior to reinstalling
Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
Restoring from Time Machine backups invariably breaks the activation mechanism (Error 150:30) and there's no easy way to fix a 150:30 error other than via re-installing.

  • CS4 "licensing ... has stopped working" on Mac, error 150:30

We have an early 2009 iMac with CS4 installed in 2010. CS4 including Photoshop no longer loads. We now get the message, "Licensing for this product has stopped working" and a reference to error 150:30. We just want to get another year or two out of this computer with disk- not cloud-based Adobe CS. It now runs OS X Mavericks but the error message came up before the upgrade with Mountain Lion. We have the original HDD.
It's also annoying that Adobe says "we want to help in any way we can" but that turns out to be: go to the online forum. No chat with Adobe let alone phone support. This is one case where we wouldn't mind paying a couple dollars for the right answer the first time.

You can get to Web Chat:
Adobe ID, sign in, and account help
Click on the "Still Need Help?" link and you'll have that option.

  • Error 150:30 CS4 Web premium - Yosemite upgrade

I'm trying to recover from a Yosemite upgrade failure on my MacBook Pro. I used the Migration Assistant app to restore my Applications folder. When I launch any product from the suite, I get Error 150:30. I can't use the installer disk for CS4 Web Premium. I've attempted downloading it from the support site several times and it always fails. When I attempt to relaunch download in Safari, I get a message that I don't have permission to download the CS4 Web Premium installer.

    Michael,
Thanks for the reply. I'm not running Yosemite. I'm still running Mavericks 10.9.5. CS4 worked fine in it. I'll try the cleaner and attempt another download.

UPDATE: CS4 Installer doesn't work on Mavericks, although the apps were running before the failed Yosemite update. I've downloaded the installer but it doesn't launch. It behaves like a folder, showing the installer contents. Here is a screen shot.
UPDATE 2: The support reply was NOT helpful and didn't solve my problem. I'm not running Yosemite, if this post was read correctly.
I've downloaded CS4 Web Premium several times and it still doesn't work on 10.9.5.

  • Need to download - design premium CS4 - I'm getting error: 150:30 when I try to open PS

I had CS help me a few months ago to re-set or load my CS4 Design Premium, when I changed 2008 imac to Mavericks.  Now I can't remember how we did that.  Now the issue is that I need to do the same on my new Macbook pro (also Mavericks)- Somehow the Suite seems to have loaded all programs, and clicking on one says to restart and then says " but if that doesn't work, then reach support." so here I am.  Can someone help asap?  Second question today.  thanks

    Hi madsea,
There could be issues while loading CS 4 on Mavericks due to incompatibility of OS and software. Please check out the system requirements for CS4 from the link mentioned below.
System Requirements : System requirements | CS4, Point Products
For Error -150 : 30 | Error "Licensing has stopped working" | Mac OS
You can certainly try if it works for you. Links for download and installation are mentioned below.
    Download : Download CS4 products
Install : Install CS4 products | Windows, Mac OS

  • IPhoto under Mavericks

Got major problem.  Can't order previosly published projects under Mavericks.  Nothing else has changed so it looks like a software problem.  Anyone with any ideas?

Created a number of books in iPhoto and ordered them from Apple store via the software link.  No problems except now that I have upgraded to Mavericks, I can't reorder the books since I keep getting a message at the end of the uploading to the Apple store which says "An error occurred uploading your Order" and asks if I wish to cancel order or retry.  I have retried a number of times but to no avail.  I have tried ordering from my MacAir instead of my iMac but still not luck.  I have restared with the shift held down to move to safe startup but still no luck. I have reinstalled iPhoto but still no luck.  It would be great if the Apple store could just reprint my books since nothing has changed and I just need more copies but this doesn't seem to be an option.

  • Intel Fortran compiler broken under Mavericks

After upgrading to OS 9 on a Mac Pro and a MacBook Pro, and installing Xcode 5.0.1 on both, my Intel Fortran compiler (vs 12.0.5) no longer works.  I have updated the command line tools.  When I try compiling a source file it fails with the message:
ifort: error #10001: could not find directory in which g++ resides
There is a compiler option to specify the location of g++ "-gxx-name=" but this doesn't help - same error message.  I'm not sure if I need to set a system variable or if I need to go back to an earlier version of Xcode.  Has anyone managed to get their Intel Fortran compiler working under Mavericks?

I haven't found this topic in the other Categories, so I'll reply here:
I'm having the same problem!!! Leopard has crashed ifort 32 bits! So I can't run my programs on my macbook core duo (32 bits), although it's ok with the ifort 64 bits version. But I really REALLY need the 32 version working on Leopard. Anyone has any clue about how to solve it? I've tried some 9.1 ifort's versions and the new 10.1 version. You can find evaluation versions on the intel's site.
    Please someone help us.
    Thanks,
    Filipe

  • Error 150:30 OSX 10.8.5 CS4

    Hi!
I have an error 150:30 comming up since I unfortunately upgraded to Maverick and made a roll back to a 10.8.5 using a time mashine back-up. I have a MBP. Any fast advises? Nothing works: CS4, ID, Ai, Acrobat Pro...
    Thanks

Adobe applications don't support migration because they have too many components too many places. Probably also true for Time Machine backups. Reinstall from the original media (or your backup).
