Upgraded my Mac to Maverick O.S.10.9. Now my Photoshop Element 8 is showing error 150:30

I recently upgraded my Mac's operating system to Maverick 10.9. Now my Photo shop Element 8 is showing error 150:30 and not working. I think I need to download some thing but cannot see how or where to find how?

Transferring between machines will ot work.  You need to install using installation files.

  • Photoshop Elements 8 shows error 150:30 in Mac OS X 10.10(Yosemite)

    Hi,
Just upgraded to Yosemite (when my iMac 27" died Apple support put in a new HD and did the S/W upgrade).  I'm using (or was) PSE 8, but keep getting an error message, and says the licensing has stopped working.  Tried reinstalling the programme on my MBP (also now on Yosemite), but while it will open, it won't allow me access to any images stored in iPhoto.  Haven't tried yet on the iMac because I can't delete the old/existing key.
The easy answer is to upgrade to PSE13, but is this necessary.  Can't seem to find and info on if this is the problem. Any help would be appreciated.
    Jack

Wait. You have a bigger problem than a reinstall will fix. You can never, never transfer an installed copy of PSE as the apple store did.
Now you must download and run this:
Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
after which you can manually remove the bits of PSE that are there. Look not only in applications but also in the library at the main level of your hard drive>application support>adobe, as well as in the user library for the prefs mentioned by John in his post.
Then you can reinstall, but you must clean up the mess first or you'll be right back where you started when you reinstall.

  • Printing problem with HP laserjet 1100A after upgrading to Mac OS Maverick

    Good afternoon,
I have always been able to use my HP Laserjet 1100A with my iMac till I upgraded to Mac OS Maverick.
After giving a printing order just one order will be carried out.
In case I have 3 printjobs I have te restart the iMac twice to carry out all the print jobs.
I am using USB for connection.
When I use the printer with my Windows computer (Windows 7) there is no problem at all with the required printjobs.
I guess the driver Gutenprint v5.2.3 is the cause of the problem.
Is there a new printerdriver available?
    Thanks in advance.
    Fred

I am sorry, but to get your issue more exposure I would suggest posting it in the commercial forums since this is a commercial printer. You can do this at http://h30499.www3.hp.com/hpeb/
I have provided the HP LaserJet 1100 All-in-One Printer series Support page.
    I hope this helps.

Your Mac is definitely one of the supported models? http://www.apple.com/uk/osx/specs/
If so, what happens when you try to download? Is it a case of nothing happens? If so, take a look at the suggestions under 'Stalled Download' in this link:
    http://www.wired.com/gadgetlab/2013/10/mavericks-issues-and-fixes/#slideid-23477 1
Also, some usrs have found that logging out of the Mac App Store and then back in again and starting over has kick-started the download. It seems that the 5+gb download can take a long time to give any feedback as to what's happening.

You stated; " I have been successful with My Power Mac "
A Power Mac is incapable of being upgraded to Mavericks. It is a PPC Mac which can only run versions of OS X up to 10.5.8 and no higher. Any version of OS X higher that 10.5.8 requires an Intel processor to run.
Does the iMac meet the hardware requirements for Mavericks?

  • I lose anything if i upgrade my mac to mavericks?, I lose anything if i upgrade my mac to mavericks?

I lose anything if i upgrade my mac to mavericks?, I lose anything if i upgrade my mac to mavericks?

Ordinarily, any OS X upgrade should never delete anything already on the computer.  However, bad things can and do happen sometimes, for all sorts of reasons.  In the rare event that the upgrade does not go exactly as expected, a full system backup will be your only protection of your data, and your best means of recovering everything back to your previous useable state.
Personally, as far as major system update or upgrades, I recommend making a full, bootable system clone to an external drive before updating.  That way, if the update fails, you can boot from your clone and have your old system fully functional to trouble shoot from, or to simple clone back to your internal drive if you do not want to try the update again.
The shareware apps Carbon Copy Cloner (Bombich software) or SuperDuper (Shirt Pocket software) are the simplest tools to make a full, bootable clone of your current system.

Is the MacBook/Air still covered under any AppleCare plan?
If you are in the US or Canada, the Apple Store with Genius
bar can have a look at it, and diagnose it for free; you'd have
to set an appointment at a store nearest you, for them do do it.
Not sure how old the unit is or how it was used, charged, or re-
charged; but those are the kinds of little things that may affect
battery life or subtract possible useable Cycles off its life.
Some users of MB/Air models (and MB/Pro, etc) had noticed
a loss of battery capacity after an upgrade to Mavericks. So
that may be some kind of revision to how the battery is seen
by the newer OS X. No idea if Mavericks uses more power.
To see an expert or specialist about this issue, for advice, &
or test/diagnose may be an idea. Could be it needs a new
battery. How does the rest of the battery/power specs look?
Perhaps the MacBook just wants to get out on the town...

Just replaced my hard drive on my Mac book pro. Photoshop will not open error 150:30

This is more of a Photoshop question than a Mac question. I typed the error into Google and there seems to be multiple threads about it in the Adobe forums. Here is one:

Same here.  I don't know how to solve the problem, but I figured out a way to close the app without re-starting or resetting the phone.  If you click ok and then press the home button twice really fast before the dialog box shows back up, you can put the phone in multi-tasking mode and close the app without having the shut the phone off or reset it.  Anxiously awaiting the fix for this since I have several apps I use that I can access at the moment.

  • I upgraded to Mac OSX Mavericks and my adobe cs4 licensing won't work

I bought my mac book pro a couple of years ago for my education at Kendall College of Art and Design.  As a student I had my computer come installed with the student edition of Adobe Creative Suite 4.  A few weeks ago, I went in to the Apple store to be advised regarding my thoughts on updating my Mac OSX Snow Leopard to Mavericks.  I was told that Mavericks was stable and that I would be able to continue using my current Adobe Creative Suite on the new operative system.
Now when I try to start the program up on Mavericks, i receive the following window:
Licensing for this product has stopped working.
This product has has encountered a problem which requires that you restart your computer before it can be launched.
If you continue to see this message after restarting your computer please contact either your IT administrator or adobe technical support for help, and mention the error code shown at the bottom of this screen.

I went in earlier today to the Apple store to fix this problem, but I was told to get in contact with Adobe since they couldn't help.
I require this program for my works, so I need help.
