ERROR 1935 PROBLEM

This is a repost from February 27, 2013:
I keep getting an Error 1935 when installing Adobe Reader when it gets to about 96% installed.  It also says "An error occurred during the installation of assembly component {B708EB72-AA82-3EB7-8BB0-D845BA35C93D}.  HRESULT:  0x80073712."  I have done everything on the Help page and get the same response.  I have reinstalled the .NET Framework, tried turning off the Windows Firewall and antivirus program before installation, run the recommended command at the C: prompt, and tried downloading from the alternative link on the Adobe website.  I also ran a registry cleanup utility and still received the same response.
This seems to have been an on-going problem with Adobe Reader for quite some time now, so I hope someone has a fix.

One other thing to try is to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package before installing Reader
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5555
Maybe those actions inside Reader installer will find that assembly already installed and will not try and fail.
Does it make sense?
Even if pre-install of the Redistributable Package fail, maybe you will get better error information

Are you on Windows Vista? I found an old document reagrding this error: http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/error-1935-install-acrobat-reader.html. Could you run through the document and see if it helps to install.
I also checked the System Requirements, but I don't see support for Microsoft Vista. It just might work absolutely fine on Vista, but I would still suggest installing on a supported platform.

I have a big problem, I need install Xcelsius 2008 on Windows vista, but when I install the software apper the nex message:

From a brief Google search, I determined this error message is from Vista. It is not being produced by Xcelsius. You will need to do your own search and determine what is causing Vista to report this error. You can also try installing using instructions for Xcelsius installation on Vista posted elsewhere in these forums.

  • Error 1935 and the VisualC++2005 Redistributable

    Hullo,
This is my post from the answers.microsoft.com forum where it has received no replies
Updated: - have contacted Microsoft support four times, of those four chat sessions three have been "Remote Control" sessions.
    Problem still exists
Today I copied a file from another computer that I could not find anywhere to download called *vcredist2_x86.exe. After I executed the file from the desktop the error was similar to the one below (in the cut and paste from the other MS support forum)
    Today's error window
[Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'policy.9.0.Microsoft.VC90.CRT,version="9.0.30729.6161",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",processorArchitecture="x86",type"win32-policy"'.Please refer
to Help and Support for more information. HRESULT: 0x8007371B.]
When I close this error report the redistributable "rolls back" and I have another window with a link to g0_microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=119537
Can anyone shed some light on these problems (I am only a hobbyist but have invested quite a bit of my personal time trying to solve this?)
    Thank you for reading
Nb:-Edit had to break all the links contained (Applies to:=>Windows=>Windows 7=>Programs) at htt#://answers.microsoft.com/en-us

  • Server 2008 R2 SP1 - Software install - Error 1935 HRESULT:0x800736B5

I'm working on an error installing a product on Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 machines. The server has been acting as a file server for months with no problems. The application requires .net 3.5 and .net 4 client profile to be installed. I'm able to pass the
prerequists portion of the installation but eventually the software halts near completion with the error
Error: 1935.An error occurred during the installation of assembly component {106BBB06-46FA-8A99-8361C13A0C}.
    HRESULT: 0x800736B5.
I've found a couple articles that reference this article
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_vista-windows_programs/error-1935an-error-occurred-during-the/7105ee7e-ab45-4bd2-b5db-a3e9002f7f9e , which I've tried with no success.
The other article I found was

The weird thing about this error is that I cant find anything useful from the event viewer. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
    Thank you in advance!

    Hi,
Thanks for posting in the forum.
Before going further, would you please let me know what the product you want to install on the server is? At this time, you could try to disable the anti-virus program first if it is installed
on the server. Then please try to reinstall the two version of .Net Framework and Visual C++ 2005 / 2008 Redistributable Package to see if the issue could be resolved.
    Hope this helps.

  • Error 1935 - Adobe Reader (11) - An error occurred during the installation of assembly component - Windows 7

    NOT RESOLVED
It seems to be a problem with my windows installation. I will re-install at a later date since installing PDF viewing programs the only issue.
    Problem:
While installing Adobe Reader XI using the install_reader11_en_mssd_aaa_aih.exe from Adobe Reader Install for all versions and AdbeRdr11000_en_US.msi from a forum post on here. Error 1935 occurs using both installers and causes the setup to fail and initiate rollback.
    Additional information:
In Programs & Features list there is no adobe reader as you can see:
This is pretty much a clean install of windows on which I have installed: Adobe Flash Player (16), Steam + some games, Chrome, Skype and some Visual C++ Redistributables, .NET Framwork, Drivers for GPU, CPU, Motherboard and USB devices.
    Error:
Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation of assembly component

    GPU: Gigabtye - G1 Gaming GTX 970
    CPU: Intel Core - i7 4770K @4.00 GHz
    RAM: 16GB Kingston Hyper X (8x2)
    Steps taken:
    1. I have cleared the transaction log using command prompt with the following command:
        fsutil resource setautoreset true C:\
Restarting the computer and trying to install Adobe Reader 11 results in the same error.
    2. Restarting the computer, disabling Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and installing Adobe Reader 11 results in the same error.
    3. Chrome has "allow all sites to run JavaScript" checked.
    Thanks
    Edit:
I have attempted to install an earlier version (10.1.4) of Adobe Reader - Same error occurs.
    Edit 2:
I'm going to look for some alternatives for the mean time
    Edit 2.1:
These alternative programs are failing to install as well. Multiple errors, I now assume the issue is with my windows installation.

I have also seen this error a number of times here in the forum, but I do not know what causes it.  It seems to be some kind of conflict with the .NET Framework.  Could it be that some update to the .NET Framework is running at the same time?  (.NET Framework updates perform assemblies that can run for several hours.)
What I would try if I were to encounter this error:
    restart Windows
check with the Task Manager's Processes tab that no batch assemblies are running
    try the MSI installer http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/11.x/11.0.00/en_US/AdbeRdr11000_en_US.msi

  • Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation of assembly...

I utilizing VS.Net and I'm deploying a project to my client machines. The XP client machines execute the code just fine but I get two general errors when I try to run the app on a Vista Business machine.
    1) Crystal Reports Basic Runtime for Visual Studio 2008

    2) The other error happens when I actually run the app and its in InnerException error.

    Hello,
    Good Day!
I'm having a nasty problem that remains unresolved for the last four weeks now - I'm trying to install CR2008 on a brand new Dell laptop /w 64-bit OS  Windows 7 with a T4300 dual core processor (2.1Gz).  As far as I can see SP1 or SP2 are not installed. However, I see MS WSE 2.0 SP3 Runtime installed.
During installation of CR 2008  the error message as follows shows up -
    Error 1935: An error occured during the installation of assembly component {303994BA-6487-47AE-AF1D-7AF6088EEBDB}
    HRESULT: 0X80070002
As a result of this error the installation terminates and the rollback begins (I assume it completely removes the components that it attempted to install so far.
The laptop has the following significant software applications -
Microsoft SQL server 2005, SQL server Native Client, MS VisualBasic 2005 & 2008, C++, MS Visual Studio 2005 Remote Debugger &  Windows SDK for Visual Studio 2008  - just in case there are any known conflicts or problems.
Are there any 'leads' I can follow to successfully conclude this installation.
    Thanks for your time.
    TGupta

  • Error 1935: Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Install

I was trying to install Visual Studio 2010 and started encountering errors with the C++ distributable package during install, so I decided to install it by itself. Whenever I try and install it, it stops on
Feature: FT_VC_Redist_openMP_x86 Enter text and I receive the following error message before it rolls the install back:
Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'policy.9.0.Microsoft.VC90.MFC,version="9.0.30729.1",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",processorArchitecture="x86",type="win32-policy". Please
refer to Help and Support for more information. HRESULT: 0x8007371B.
I am running it in Admin mode and have tried disabling the services and restarting my machine. I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. This problem is preventing me from installing numerous software titles that require this to be in place. Any help would
    be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Copy the file "C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log" to your document folder (otherwise you can't open it) and open it with notepad. Now search for errors. Which errors do you see? If you're unsure about the entries, upload the complete CBS.log to your public
SkyDrive folder and post a link here.

I have the same problem as ndfan1993, so I did as described above.
I'm unable to run most types of software such as games. When I try to launch the game "Total War: Shogun 2" for example the computer fails to install Microsft visual c++ so the game doesn't start.
In that log the following message is repeated many times:
CBS    Failed to get CSI store. [HRESULT = 0x80070246 - ERROR_ILLEGAL_CHARACTER]
2011-10-13 16:17:36, Error                 CBS    Failed to initialize store parameters with boot drive:  and windows directory:  [HRESULT = 0x80070246

Does anyone know what it means?
Or does anyone have a suggestion as how to solve the problem?
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Ronald,
I finally went with a brand new fresh install on a different server. Also decided to go with a Windows 2003 64 bits version. Some surprises but now working.
