Error -50 when accessing Itunes

Hi, this is my first ever posting. I have two PC's one at home and one at work, the one at work is the one I'm having problems with. Been like it for over a year now and remains the same with each Update. I can only access the Itunes store via the column browser. If I click the Home button I simply get the error -50 every time. I've tried everything from deleting prefs, altering the parental settings etc but to no avail. Is there anyone out there with a possible solution? Thanks

Another thing to think about is parental controls, they don't just lurk in iTunes, check in Windows and your security software.
In general security software can cause problems with store access. Norton particularly, even if it has been uninstalled - Norton often comes preinstalled on new PCs.
It might be worth posting your network connectivity diagnostics although it probably won't help as you can partially access the store.
iTunes Help>>Run Diagnostics>>Network connectivity tests. Copy result onto the clipboard and paste into your post. Remove serial numbers.

I get an error message when I try to access itunes store and I can't find any info about this error message -9813?

    All
I have been having issues connecting to the iTunes store for over a week now , Error code -50 and some error message in spanish , after some messing about i renamed all itunesprefs files to iTunesprefs.old main one located "C:\Documents and Settings\Account name\Local Settings\Application Data". this makes itunes reset all it prefs but does not delete any music or vids . i then restarted itunes and bobs your uncle straight in and working again .
    in summary :
rename all iTunesprefs files either xml or other
remane them to .old so you have them if you need to go back
    restart itunes or reboot
itunes will think your a new user but does not require a re sync
    and should be fixed
i am not responsible for any errors you create by messing it up.
it has worked for me on Win xp pro ver9 (latest version) itunes .

  • Error 306 when accessing itunes store

I am unable to access the store. One day it worked, the next it didn't.
I have tried to log on using another log on, same problem. I next downloaded the current version and it still gives me the error message 306, the connection timed out. It usually gets about half way before it stops.
    Thanks

  • ITunes for Windows: Error -9812 when accessing the iTunes Store

So here is the situation. When I try to access our iTunes U site from the public link it works great, when I go thru the link that has me authenticicate it works on macs but on PC's I get the error message "iTunes for Windows: Error -9812 when accessing the iTunes Store" it's happening all thru our campus with PC users. Any ideas?????

We're having similar connection issues, and the error log on our web server says something about a certificate error. I noted that last year on this date there were messages related to certificates. Is it possible they are updated every Dec 2, and we should count on some down time?

  • Error message when updating Itunes...can not open Itunes program

I am recieving error message when updating Itunes for my computer.  The error message reads "MSVCR80.dll is missing and the other error message reads Error 7  (Windows error 126)"  I can not open my Itunes.  I have reloaded the Itunes onto my computer but still have the same error messages.  Please help.

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

  • Error message in TRFC 'An SQL error occurred when accessing a table'

    Hi all,
Can any one tell what this below error message is about in while go into TRFC
'An SQL error occurred when accessing a table'.
and please tell me how to solve this problem.

    Hi
Try to see what all tables are accessed by data source. and see if there is any lock on that..
If some other job is accessing that table - then there might be lock on that which is causing failure..
    1) Try looking at ST22 dump also..
    2) Try to do RSA3 in R/3 and if see if its is fetching any records or not..
    Hoep it helps

Error Message when open iTunes -42032. What can I do?

Try 2 solutions: 1.  Press both Ctrl and Shift keys then double click on ITunes.  Hold keys down until a box appears on screen indicating ITunes is starting in "safe mode'.  left click on 'continue" and ITunes will run without closing.
2;  Start ITunes normally, then  after loading, choose "Match" and then touch "stop" beforre step 3 , Uploading songs...",  runs for more than a few seconds.  The code problems are in Match;  the uploading function in Match.  ITunes won't crash if you stop Match soon enough!
