Error 56 on IRDA read
Im trying to do an IDRA communication via a USB IRDA device through LabVIEW (8.6) to an external device.
I know communications can be established because the IRDA comms works in a C based program using the same device and driver.
When I do get Comms, I get extra bytes back that I do not see in the C based program.
The whole of yesterday afternoon I was getting failed Comms and not reading any data back from the device at all.
I started off getting error 56 appearing infrequently, but it appeared to increase in frequency rate throughout the afternoon and I now can't run the code without getting it.
Any ideas for where I should even start looking please?

Can I ask what kind of device you are using to send the Infra red. I think that error 56 may be comming form the device itself and previously I have found this means that The network BIOS command limit has been reached. This would explain why it is coming at a variation of times. If the error is being genorated directly from the PC then it may be a timing issue.
Where is the error generated from, can you define more accuratly when it is occuring. which VI for example.

At a guess, sounds like an include file is missing. Are you
on some sort of
free hosting plan where the host puts some adverts in the
footer? If that
file is removed from your site directory you might get the
error you've
mentioned (at least, that was the case on the only other time
I've seen this
error)

Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Adobe Reader XI, rebooted my computer but this did not help. I get the same message. What to do?
Can you open Reader by itself? If so, check if disabling Protected Mode improves the situation [Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)].

I get an error message: Adobe Reader could not open file name.pdf because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded). The files are not from emails, but are from websites, government sites, professional organizations etc.) Help! Adobe is no help!
Manually download the files to your computer (right-click on the url). When the file is downloaded to your computer do you get the same message when you try to open in Reader through the File->Open menu? What about when you open the file in Mac's Preview application?

it seems my subscription had expired so I signed up again.. It was still having trouble so I repeated the sign up process again.. Then it worked perfectly.. Unfortunately, I think I just subscribed twice and need to cancel one of them. Ugh. Such a pain when I'm trying to get this project completed. I'll be canceling at least one of the subscriptions in the morning. Adobe is not my favorite company right now. None of this was intuitive. And trying to get help was an absolute waste of an hour.

I had Adobe upgraded to from 1.2. to 4.1 on my Glow Light Nock at Barnes and Noble yesterday. I use a MacBook Pro 2011 upgraded to 10.10.1. I have never had a problem download a book from the library to my nook in the past. By the time I get this issue resolved, my 2 week book will be overdue and my book club discussion 1/21. I have been to the genius bar at Apple store--not their problem. Two trips to B&N and
the tech guy said he could fix the problem on a PC but not a Mac. It is not a Mac or Nook world. -

The query is,

Hi,
We are getting the following error when running our SSIS packages on Microsoft SQL Server 2012 R2 on Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1:
Error: 4014, Severity:20, State: 11. A fatal error occurred while reading the input stream from the network. The session will be terminated (input error: 109, output error: 0)
SQL Server Data Tools and SQL Server Database Engine reside on the same server.
We tried the following:
Disabling TCP Chimney Offload
Installed Windows Server 2008 SP1
Splitting our SSIS code into multiple steps so it is not all one large continuous operation
The error occurs during a BulkDataLoad task.
Other options we are investigating with the engineering team (out-sourced, so delayed responses):
Firewall configurations (everything is local, so this should not make a difference)
Disabling the anti-virus scanner
Are there other things we can try?
Any insight is greatly appreciated.

Based on the current information, the issue can be caused by many reasons. Please refer to the following tips:
Install the latest hotfix based on your SQL Server version. Ps: there is no SQL Server 2012 R2 version.
Change the MaxConcurrentExecutables property from -1 to another one based on the MAXDOP. For example, 8.
Set "RetainSameConnection" Property to FALSE on the all the connection managers.

I am currently running CS3, windows XP, service pack 2, with recent update, 5.03 installed today.
I just opened a 500 page document not in sections where 90% of the document is a placed PDF.
The PDFS were placed using a sample Script that came with Indesign, that instructs the PDF to automatically flow each page after another.
When scrolling through quickly in the pages pallette, I get the follwing error:-
"Error encountered while reading TIFF image, Image may be damaged of incompatible. Resave the image with different settings and try again."
I click OK.
Then I get the following error.....
" Could not complete request because of database error. The File "ABC.indd" is damaged (Error Code: 3).
Click OK....
Then I get the following error....
Adobe Indesign is shutting down. A serious error was detected. Please restart Indesign to recover work in any unsaved Indesign documents.
Then I get the error.......
Indesign.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for any inconveneince.
And I have two buttons to click....
Debug or Close.....
If I click Debug, it closes Indesign.
Within this window there is also a window to gather further information....I click it and it tells me...
"Indesign.exe....Error Signature AppName: indesign.exe AppVer: 5.0.3.662

To view technical inforamtion about the error report, clikc here....

The report conatains a whole heap of CHECKSUM ERRORS.

I had these errors before updating to 5.03 and the patch hasn't rectified anything!!Open the .inx file in CS3 (that's what you have, right?) and save as a new .indd.
I'd also be tempted to open the tiff in Photoshop and do a save as to re-write it.
Let us know if it helps.
Storing files on the network leaves you more open tot he risk of file damage during transfer and save operations.

when trying to sync our itouches the device is initailly recongnized in itunes and will begin to sync , but never gets through the whole proccess - each time it gets to a different step, but always ends with error message "ipod cannot sync as an error occured while reading from device" or something close to that...any ideas or help please....
i have checked the usb drivers...uninstalled and reinstalled itunes and removed the security software that I can find....It could be to either a problem with a "file" that is either one the iPod or on the computer that is trying to be read for syncing. I would in order:
- Reset the iPod:
Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore the iPod via iTunes. First from backup then to factory defaults/new iPod. -

Also in the system events following error was being logged, but after restarting the vm service this error has not re-occurred

Could you try to use Network Monitor or WireShark to examine if the connections resets are coming from a client computer
or from the host where SQL Server is installed?
Network Monitor can be downloaded from the following link:

If you use Network Monitor trace you will identify connection resets by looking for “TCP: Flags=,,R.A” at the description column on the Frame Summary. Once you find the flag, the Source column will tell you the identity of the host resetting the connection,
maybe is not the SQL Server host.
