Error at planning work bench

hi all,
i am new to ip i am encountering an error in the web page while i open the start modeler , the error says 'Error While Obtaining JCO Connection' and i am able to see the tabs below.please let  me know how can i proceed.thanks alot.

Hi Babitha,
This error is occuring because the JCO is not maintained for your portal. So the required connectivity for your portal has to be maintained.
For that you need to ,Goto the WD Content Administrator: J2EE Engine start page http://localhost:<port> -> Web Dynpro -> Content Administrator.
Over there are 2 destinations BI_METADATA and BI_MODELDATA which should have a Green status. (In your case the status is red, so you are getting the errror).
Create the new JCO destination for both of these , by following the wizard. In this wizard, You 'll have to provide the required Client and Message Server name . Once you are done, the status will be green. Test the connection, you 'll get a success message.
Once  the destination for both is maintained, the error wont appear.
Best regards,
Akshata

  • Regd Planning work bench

    Hi,
Can anyone please let me know if this is possible
In planning work bench, i udpate some comments and release the planned order. is there any way that these comments flows to Purchase Order or Purchase requistion?
    Thanks,
    Jay

You would need to make changes to the code the inserts the comments from msc_supplies into the po_requisitions_interface_all in the case of requisitions (ex field note_to_buyer).
ASCP provides a release hook allowing to manipulate the data while it's being released. ref Data Hooks For Manipulating Data in Value Chain Planning (aka APS Advanced Planning and Scheduling) (Doc ID 976328.1).
However for discrete jobs there is no such option to go via the interface (wip_job_schedule_interface). That would mean you need to create code that updates the job with the comments after it has been created

  • Oracle Work Bench - MS SQL to Oracle

    Hi,
I am using oracle work bench for migrating MS SQL database to Oracle 8i. When i am trying to migrate the Stored procedures with cursors, i am get expections. I am able to migrate tables and SPs (which don't have any cursors in it). I will cite an example for better understanding. Assuming the following is SP in MS SQL
    create or replace procedure test1
    @id varchar(20)
    as
    declare @cur1 cursor
    if @id = '1' then
    begin
set @cur1 = cursor scroll KeySet for
    select test1 from table_test
    end
    else
    begin
set @cur1 = cursor scroll keyset for
    select test3 from table_test2
    end
    open @cur1
    close @cur1
    deallocate @cur1
    /* END OF PROCEDURE */
When i try to parse it using Oracle Workbench, i am getting the following exception in log.
"Error occured at line 4: OracleWorkBench.sa.test1; oracle.mtg.sqlserver7.parser.ParseException: Parse error at line 4. Encountered: Declare"
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Sadigue,
The Workbench uses an underlying repository, so all the choices you make are saved. However the primary usage of the tool, is one off migration, not continous migration. If you want to rerun multiple times, you should probably generate the offline schema and data migration scripts.

  • Migrate from Access 97 to Oracle using Migration Work Bench to mi

When I try to use Migration work bench to migrate an Access 97 database to Oracle using OWB I get "failed to truncate Source Model ORA-00942 tables or view does not exist" error message and I could not go further.
This happens during clearing the Source Model. Doe any one know what is this error means or any one had this problem before.
    Thanks
    Myl

    Hi Njha,
Did you create the Source Model using OMWB and then delete the tables in the OMWB repository manually ? Or is there a chance that the tables in your repository could have been corrupted in some way ? The OMWB is simply trying to truncate the tables it filled when a previous attempt was made to capture the source model before it re-populates the tables with data from your subsequent attempt at a capture. If the tables it is trying to truncate have been deleted or are corrupt, this error will be displayed.
A workaround to your problem would be to drop the schema you are using for the OMWB repository and create a new one.
    I hope this helps,
    Tom.

  • Problems with Oracle Migration Work Bench (OMWB)

    Hi
I am asking all "migration experts" here to give me a hand.
I'm trying to convert an Access DB with loads of tables to Oracle 10g (Expresss Edition, actually) with OMWB version 10.1.0.4.0 (newest available version) and have some serious problems:
    1) The migration creates the complete Oracle data model and database, but does NOT migrate the data to the new DB. This is a pain somewhere, as I have about 80 tables, and the only way which would be working in most cases, but far from all, is to export the data to .csv files and load it on the other side with the "load text data" function of the XE DB.
The first "bad sign" is that the Access application which comes with the work bench and which is supposed to export the data model AND the data (2 separate functions), does the export of the model OK, but the data export only lasts a second, and does not append anything to the xml file created by the data model export
The message I invariably get at the point where the data should be migrated is "Unable to migrate data from source <Access DB table name> to destination table <Oracle table name>;[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] File "unknown" not found ! Very helpful... What is that ?
    2) The "Modify the Access application" phase that comes after the migration only worked once, and now comes up also with an error: java.sql..SQLException: [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] The data source name was not found, and no standard driver was indicated
So, with these 2 things, but especially point 1), most of the use of the tool is gone.
Can someone tell me what I do wrong, or where the problems are ?
    Thanks
    BAlex

Please contact [email protected] with the following information.
    1. Workbench version
    2. ODBC driver information
    3. Problems encountered
If possible, could you attach the error.log file produced by the Migration Workbench (located within %ORACLE_HOME%/Omwb/Log).
    Thanks in advance.

  • Diff bet sxmb_moni&runtime work bench

what is diffrence between SXMB_MONI & runtime work bench?

    Hi,
    Moni:
SXI_Monitor / SXMB_MONI is used for monitoring of XML messages either in error or success or in System error and in other status. You can check messages here for all of your interfaces.
SXMB_MONI is the monitoring tool for all the message processing and shows different pipeline steps like receiver determination, interface determination and mapping ..etc....
You can see the status of message after reaching the Intergration server from the sender adapter to the before delivering to the receiver adapter from IS.
SXMB_MONI is for Integration Engine monitoring, it provides Additional monitoring functions for the Integration Engine. u have outbound and inbound processes in XI and XML message processing happens in I.E in both the cases.
u can monitor both sender and receiver XML messgaes processed in integration engine. bcz both sender and receiver messages must have to pass through I.E runtime.
u can monitor all pipeline steps happens in I.E at runtime, and MONI displays runtime versions of xml messages.
refer these links to understand the message flow and monitoring features:
    http://help.sap.com/search/highlightContent.jsp

For BPM you can use SXMB_MONI_BPE.
    RWB
With the help of Runtime Workbench we can able to monitor the following ...
    1. Component Monitoring --- we can monitor all the components w.r.t to xi are working fine
    2. Message Monitoring --- Here we can check the errors with Integration Engine and Adapter Engine.

I tested telnet connection from EAS server to planning server and it worked fine.
I checked the HBRServer properties file location on planning server and looks good.
Is there anything else I need to look.
    Thanks

    Hi John,
Thanks for the reply. I forgot to mention.
I followed the steps in the document.
Logged into every app from planning web.
Logged into EAS -> right click Administartion and refresh users.
Then tried. But getting the same error.
I also checked the planning logs and it clearly mentions "Planning connected to HBR repository successfully".

  • 500 Internal Server Error at HFM work space,Urgent;;;;;

    Hi,
Can any one give me solution for this.
When I try to open Work space it is giving the error "500 Internal Server Error"
And I am using Apache Tomcat.\
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi 807662 ,
    Hope this helps...
Can you post the errors from the BI+ error log?
You say that you can't log into the client applications? What client apps are you trying to log into?
If Planning can you post the the errors from Planning? If HFM can you post the errors from HFM?
Can you post the errors from the Event Viewer log on the server?
    -David
Web server returns the message "Internal Server Error (HTTP 500)"
    DETAILS:
This message usually indicates an error on the Web server. This message is too generic to provide the actual cause of the error, but a careful examination of the Web server logs, can provide clues which may point you in the right direction.
There are a few of things you can infer from an "Internal Server Error" message.
    1. The web server is NOT down, i.e it is responding to an HTTP request, since the error is being generated and returned by the web server. Unlike a "Page cannot be displayed" error which is a default message generated by a browser if it cannot contact the web server. The "Internal server error" message is caused by the web server actually returning an HTTP 500 code.
    2. If all users are getting this error, its might indicate a problem with the web server itself, perhaps a lack of system resource, a system-wide failure, or a configuration or installation issue. If only one user gets the error, its probably just tied to the session of the user, and even may be specific to the current activity
    3. The root cause is the web server, and not the application server or database, even though its possible that an application server or database response might trigger an error on the web server. For example, SQL returning a large result set might cause an OutOfMemory condition on the web server. If the application server errors out, the PIA servlet traps it and returns a generic message saying "An error has occurred on the application server", it does not return an HTTP 500 error.
The Internal Server Error message is generated by the web server, when the sub-process it called to process the browser's request, did not complete successfully. The sub-process may be a CGI program, ( Verity search in PeopleBooks for example), it may be another web server ( Apache proxying to WebLogic), or it may be a servlet (Weblogic HTTP handing off request to PIA). If the sub-process errors out, or returns an invalid error code, the web server will return an HTTP 500 error code to the browser.
The key therefore in troubleshooting HTTP 500 errors is to find out what sub-process was invoked, and what was the error encountered by the sub-process. Start by checking the access log on the web server. It will have the URL with the GET or POST request, and the return code. Here
Note though, that not all java exceptions translate to HTTP 500 errors, and not all HTTP 500 errors caused by servlets correspond to java errors. Sometimes a servlet may recover or ignore an exception and manage to return a valid response to the calling web server, mitigating an HTTP 500 code response to the browser.
Some of the common causes of servlet failures are:
    - Invalid web server configuration ( these errors should be consistently reproducible)
    - Errors from the Application Server that are not captured and translated into a meaningful message for the user.
    - Network I/O errors while communicating with Application Server, or to a proxy plugin.
    - Out of memory conditions on the web server.
    - Problems with the Java runtime.
    - System errors, like running out of disk space, insufficient permissions, running out of threads, etc.
    - Errors in the servlet code itself. Example: NullPointerException
    - Invalid or corrupted Session information, perhaps caused by Proxies, Load Balancers, Timeouts.
    - Incorrect web server, JRE, OS patches and or versions.
    G'Luck,

  • No infotype record 0007(Planned working time) on 03/07/2011

    Hi,
In our scenario, Time sheet is integrated with work order and while submiting we are getting an error :
"No infotype record 0007(Planned working time) on 03/07/2011".
Where as I checked infotype 0007 but it is maitained with proper data.
Please suggest what could have gone wrong and why this error is coming?

I am assuming 03/07/2011 in your problem refers to March 07, 2011.
Please check: Has the work schedule in IT 0007 been generated? Check transaction PT03 in your production system and see if you can display the work schedule for the month.
If it has not been generated, you will need to generate it for the month.
If it has been generated, please check the details for the day in question (03/07/2011). Please make sure that the DWS and PWS are all consistent with the configured values. Run teams, too often, try and create different schedules by changing the DWS value in a PT01 run.
