  • How to check syntax errors in ABAP Queries

    HI Guys,
    How to check syntax errors in ABAP queries, Can please provide the T-Codes.
    Advande thanks to everybody.
    Thanks,
    Gourisankar

    Hi
    with these you can check syntax errors and performance points
    Hi
    these all are doing t he same thing that is checking the program for better performance
    Tools for Performance Analysis
    Run time analysis transaction SE30
    SQL Trace transaction ST05
    Extended Program Check (SLIN)
    Code Inspector ( SCI)
    Run time analysis transaction SE30 :This transaction gives all the analysis of an ABAP program with respect to the database and the non-database processing.
    SQL Trace transaction ST05: The trace list has many lines that are not related to the SELECT statement in the ABAP program. This is because the execution of any ABAP program requires additional administrative SQL calls. To restrict the list output, use the filter introducing the trace list.
    The trace list contains different SQL statements simultaneously related to the one SELECT statement in the ABAP program. This is because the R/3 Database Interface - a sophisticated component of the R/3 Application Server - maps every Open SQL statement to one or a series of physical database calls and brings it to execution. This mapping, crucial to R/3s performance, depends on the particular call and database system. For example, the SELECT-ENDSELECT loop on a particular database table of the ABAP program would be mapped to a sequence PREPARE-OPEN-FETCH of physical calls in an Oracle environment.
    The WHERE clause in the trace list's SQL statement is different from the WHERE clause in the ABAP statement. This is because in an R/3 system, a client is a self-contained unit with separate master records and its own set of table data (in commercial, organizational, and technical terms). With ABAP, every Open SQL statement automatically executes within the correct client environment. For this reason, a condition with the actual client code is added to every WHERE clause if a client field is a component of the searched table.
    To see a statement's execution plan, just position the cursor on the PREPARE statement and choose Explain SQL. A detailed explanation of the execution plan depends on the database system in use.
    Extended Program Check
    This can be called in through transaction SE38 or through transaction SLIN. This indicates possible problems that may cause performance problems.
    Code Inspector (SCI)
    You can call the Code Inspector from the ABAP Editor (SE38), the Function Builder (SE37), the Class Builder (SE24), or as a separate transaction (SCI).
    The Code Inspector indicates possible problems. However, note that, especially with performance issues: There is no rule without exception. If a program passes an inspection, it does not necessarily mean that this program will have no performance problems.

  • Diff bet sxmb_moni&runtime work bench

    what is diffrence between SXMB_MONI & runtime work bench?

    Hi,
    Moni:
    SXI_Monitor / SXMB_MONI is used for monitoring of XML messages either in error or success or in System error and in other status. You can check messages here for all of your interfaces.
    SXMB_MONI is the monitoring tool for all the message processing and shows different pipeline steps like receiver determination,interface determination and mapping ..etc....
    You can see the status of message after reaching the Intergration server from the sender adapter to the before delivering to the receiver adapter from IS.
    SXMB_MONI is for Integration Engine monitoring, it provides Additional monitoring functions for the Integration Engine. u have outbound and inbound processes in XI and XML message processing happens in I.E in both the cases.
    u can monitor both sender and receiver XML messgaes processed in integration engine. bcz both sender and receiver messages must have to pass through I.E runtime.
    u can monitor all pipeline steps happens in I.E at runtime, and MONI displays runtime versions of xml messages.
    refer these links to understand the message flow and monitoring features:
    http://help.sap.com/search/highlightContent.jsp

    For BPM you can use SXMB_MONI_BPE.
    RWB
    With the help of Runtime Workbench we can able to monitor the following ...
    1. Component Monitoring --- we can monitor all the components w.r.t to xi are working fine
    2. Message Monitoring --- Here we can check the errors with Integration Engine and Adapter Engine.
    3. End -to - End Monitoring
    4. Performance Monitoring
    5. Alert Configuration
    6. Alert Inbox .. etc..,

  • How to prevent an error of [WIP work order ... is locked-]

    Hello experts
    Can someone tell me how to prevent an error which [The WIP work order associated with this transaction is currently locked and being updated by another user.  Please wait for a few seconds and try again.Transaction processor error].
    How can you prevent that error?
    P.S.
    Oracle support told me [When you make data of mtl_transaction_interface, give same transaction_header_id to all data. Then, you kick worker with appointed transaction_header_id. Or, you set up being uncompatible with workers].
    I cannot allow that making with same transaction_header_id and being uncompatible with worker on my system.

    Hi santosh,
    You can implement badi BBP_DOC_CHECK to check vendor email and issue error message.
    Kind regards,
    Yann

  • How to fix an error  (related to work schedule rule) in Time evaluation ?

    Hi experts,
    I am getting an error while running time evaluation - PT60.
    Find the log
    Log:TimeEvaluation                                                                                General data
    Schema ZM04 Time Evaluation Without Clock Times
    00753402 Christoudas Natalie
    Customizing error in work schedule rule 1 VM 01 5MTWTF Person rejected: 00753402
    How to fix it? Its urgent.
    Be assured of points for useful answers.
    Rajesh

    Hi All,
    I have checked work schedules and work sc. rules. everything looks fine. Reason being fine, same work schrdule rule, i.e. 5MTWTF is used for other employees, whose payroll area, personnel area, personnel subarea, employee group and employee subgroups are same.
    Why it is throwing error for one employee 753402.
    I am providing you more information. In table V_T569r, if u select recalculation category as time evaluation, it is mentioned as 01.01.2003. Initially, one action called "Conversion take on" has been maintained as on 01.03.2002, where employee had payroll area -99 (payroll irrelevant) and personnel subarea - DAYY.
    Then on 17.03.2008, another action ran "Conversion initial reassignment" where payroll area changed to "MT - monthly", subarea changed to DAYF. At that time PDC recalculation date in infotype 0003 was 01.03.2002 which was before recalculation date, i.e. 01.01.2003.
    Time evaluation was throwing 2 error messages. one was solved by changing PDC recaluation date to 17.03.2008. But other error related to work sc rule 1 VM 01 5MTWTF still occurs.
    Can some body now provide some useful information?
    Thanks
    Rajesh

  • How to check if the GPS Antenna works?!?!?

    Dear all,
    I've a "small" problem.
    As most of you have experienced I cannot fix the signal from the satellite.
    I tried everything...45°, open sky (I tried even in open sea!!!) etc...
    So my doubt is the following: how can I be sure that my antenna is working?
    Do you know if a SW to verify it exists????
    Do you know how to check it???
    If yes, pleaseeeeee tell me!!
    cheers
    MArco

    No - there's no software which can tell whether the GPS antenna is working or not. Within Maps v2 in the bottom right hand corner there is an indicator which will let you know once it has obtained a satellite lock - but not whether the actual hardware is working or not.
    Having said that I have never come across any instances where the GPS antenna has not worked on a phone. What phone do you have ?
    You should definitely have got a lock after 3 hours !
    It is definitely worth checking your settings. Make sure you quit Maps before doing this.
    Goto the menu, click Tools then Settings.
    Then click General and choose Positioning.
    Within here click Positioning methods.
    Ensure the options below are ticked :
    - Assisted GPS
    - Integrated GPS
    - Network based
    However please be aware that for Assisted GPS and network based, your network operators will charge you for any data transmitted.
    Then load Maps again and give it some time to get a lock.
    Please let me know how you get on.
    Regards,
    Edward

  • How to check cursor stats during Runtime

    Hi
    I have a stored procedure running in which there is a cursor which fetches around 1500000 records and then query another table using the fetched record values.
    I cannot modify the procedure as its on production.
    I want to know which cursor record is currently being processed by the procedure, and how many are still remaining ?
    I have cursor name.
    Is there some dynamic view to check cursor stats at runtime ??
    thanks.

  • How to check whether Output ES is working or not.

    I am able to see Output ES in the services list of the admin console of my server. Please let me know how to check whether this is working or not.
    Regards,
    Shabeer

    LiveCycle ES2 (and LiveCycle ES) ship with three undersold and unadvertised web applications that are VERY useful. Each is referred to as an Installation Verification Sample (or IVS) but they are great testing tools you can use during development and QA. There is
    1) Assembler IVS,
    2) Forms IVS, and
    3) Output IVS
    Output IVS looks like this...
    The pattern for deploying and using all three IVSs is very similar as what I am about to describe for Output IVS. The following directions apply to the JBoss turnkey on Windows.
    1) go to C:\Adobe\Adobe LiveCycle ES2\deploy and locate adobe-output-ivs-jboss.ear
    2) copy adobe-output-ivs-jboss.ear to C:\Adobe\Adobe LiveCycle ES2\jboss\server\lc_turnkey\deploy
    3) if necessary, start LiveCycle
    4) open a browser and go to http://localhost:8080/OutputIVS/
    5) click Check/Change your preferences
    6) add Admin Credentials
    7) click Save
    8) click Test your form designs
    9) Select an .xdp from Form designs
    10) Click Use EJB (or Use Web Service if you feel so inclined) to invoke LiveCycle Output ES2

  • Void multiple PY checks not through off cycle work bench

    Hello,
    We had a scenario where we had to void nearly 60 regular PY checks in our previous period. The postings to FI did not happen yet. We went to off cycle work bench and voided 60 checks one after the other.
    Is there any quicker way to void multiple PY checks (If we know the check number to void). What if we run into a scenario where we need to void few hundreds.
    Any advice is greatly appreciated.

    Hi Priya,
    I feel you have got answer of this query.... as it was processed through another thread. I will request you to close this thread as for a question 2 threads are there. And if moderator will see it then they may block the thread.

  • How to check if my SuperDuper backup works?

    After reading that not all external HDDs guarantee the necessary compatibility with SL in case of total system recovery from an external backup, I would like to test mine. Is there a procedure around that explains how to do this check without putting the actual installation at risk?
    Thanks in advance

    I rarely restore from SD, but I do boot from it, and run disk repairs from there.
    I've been using SD a lot yesterday and now today, before during and after an OS update. Works great.
    Some people have had trouble with USB case; or where the partition table wasn't set to GUID when the drive was formatted; and, Ignore Ownership sometimes is still selected on an external (always good to check, and once clone is made first time, insure by running repair permissions; I'd also run Repair Disk with DU and Disk Warrior).
    As for testing restore, well, restore to a spare test drive if possible, harder to do if you only have one good port (and USB2 is way too slow, USB3 will be a huge performance boost). FW400/800 for now is preferable for a full restore.
    Once you make SD backup, then smart updates should only take 15 minutes or so; and a great alternative addition to your TimeMachine. Having a bootable backup is handy and only really needs to be done 'as needed' like before an update, and when the system is in good working order (never update when you are having trouble).
    I keep a small 30GB (could be less) Apple-only system on a partition on same drive as TimeMachine (1.5TB so room to slice out 30GB) so I can also boot from the drive. And 1.5TB has hit the magic $99. Room for a clone volume and another partition for T/M.

  • How to check for errors in starting workflow from plsql?

    Hi All,
    I am using the below code to start a custom workflow.
    DECLARE
    l_itemtype VARCHAR2(30) := 'XXPWA';
    l_itemkey  VARCHAR2(30) := '1116410C';
    error_code VARCHAR2(2000);
    error_msg  VARCHAR2(2000);
    BEGIN
        wf_engine.createprocess(l_itemtype, l_itemkey, 'XX_WEBADI_APPROVAL');
        wf_engine.setitemuserkey(itemtype => l_itemtype
                                ,itemkey  => l_itemkey
                                ,userkey  => 'USERKEY: ' || '1116410C');
        wf_engine.setitemowner(itemtype => l_itemtype
                              ,itemkey  => l_itemkey
                              ,owner    => 'SYSADMIN');
        wf_engine.setitemattrnumber(itemtype => l_itemtype
                                   ,itemkey  => l_itemkey
                                   ,aname    => 'BATCH_ID'
                                   ,avalue   => 1116410);
        wf_engine.startprocess(l_itemtype, l_itemkey);
    EXCEPTION
    WHEN OTHERS THEN
    error_code := SQLCODE;
    error_msg  := SQLERRM(SQLCODE);
    dbms_output.put_line(error_code||error_msg);
    END ;
    The script completes successfully without errors.
    I am sending a notification from this workflow. I can see the records getting created in tables like WF_NOTIFICATIONS and WF_ITEM_ATTRIBUTE_VALUES. But i cannot see any thing if i query from Status Monitor. Also I am not getting the said notifications. How can i find what is the issue?

    Hi Manu,
    Thanks for sharing the information, If you think of speeding up finding were exactly your notification is struck, You can use the below query (Input parameter would be your notification id), Hope this information is good, I liked this very much, the way it was narrated.
    SELECT n.begin_date,
           n.status,
           n.mail_status,
           n.recipient_role,
           de.def_enq_time,
           de.def_deq_time,
           de.def_state,
           ou.out_enq_time,
           ou.out_deq_time,
           ou.out_state
      FROM applsys.wf_notifications n,
           (SELECT d.enq_time def_enq_time,
                   d.deq_time def_deq_time,
                   TO_NUMBER((SELECT VALUE
                               FROM TABLE(d.user_data.parameter_list)
                              WHERE NAME = 'NOTIFICATION_ID')) d_notification_id,
                   msg_state def_state
              FROM applsys.aq$wf_deferred d
             WHERE d.corr_id = 'APPS:oracle.apps.wf.notification.send') de,
           (SELECT o.deq_time out_deq_time,
                   o.enq_time out_enq_time,
                   TO_NUMBER((SELECT str_value
                               FROM TABLE(o.user_data.header.properties)
                              WHERE NAME = 'NOTIFICATION_ID')) o_notification_id,
                   msg_state out_state
              FROM applsys.aq$wf_notification_out o) ou
    WHERE n.notification_id = &NOTIFICATION_ID
       AND n.notification_id = de.d_notification_id(+)
       AND n.notification_id = ou.o_notification_id(+)
    This single query links all together and shows you the current state of the message.
    Column 5 & 6 shows the enqueue & dequeue time of WF_DEFFERRED queue.
    Column 7 shows the message status in WF_DEFFERRED
    Column 8 &  9 shows the enqueue & dequeue time of WF_NOTIFICATIONS_OUT queue.
    Column 10 shows the message status in WF_NOTIFICATION_OUT.
    Below is the sequence of activities going on between the PL/SQL trigger of the business event and the e-mail received from notification mailer in the tail -end
    1. EBS user sends email – To send an email EBS modules use standard API. Email API is implemented in PL/SQL package WF_NOTIFICATION (I will cover it in the next article).
    1.1. Provides application data – First of all user’s session inserts business data (recipient, message type, message text etc.) into WF_NOTIFICATIONS table (do not mix up with PL/SQL package mentioned above);
    1.2. Defers processing Generates event – a user or process leaves EBS to run further email processing steps. It is done using a Business Events System (BES). Session raises an event k“oracle.apps.wf.notification.send” via the WF_EVENT PL/SQL package (BES processing to be covered in the next articles). Each deferred event is put in one of the two Advanced Queues WF_DEFERRED or WF_JAVA_DEFERRED for further processing. All email sending events go through the WF_DEFERRED queue.
    2. Deferred Agent Listener – is a process responsible for ALL BES events processing. It executes all deferred events calling subscriptions’ functions defined for each business event. There are several more things to explain about Agent Listeners and subscription processing (e.g. there are several differed agents, subscriptions groups etc.) This is one more subject for further articles.
    2.1. Reads event and starts subscriptions processing – Strictly speaking there is no any enabled subscription for the “oracle.apps.wf.notification.send” event (submitted during the first step). This event is a part of “oracle.apps.wf.notification.send.group” event group. The Deferred Agent executes subscriptions for that group rather than for the stand alone event. At this stage the Agent knows that it should process the notification with given notification id (it is a part of the event data passed via the event).
    2.2. Reads application data – in order to generate the email/notification the Agent reads business data from the WF_NOTIFICATIONS table and a few related tables and during the next step builds up the email’s text in XML format.
    2.3. Generates data for outbound interface – This is the last step executed by the Deferred Agent Listener. It generates XML representation of email to be sent and together with other important bits of information posts it to the Notification Mailer outbound queue WF_NOTIFICATION_OUT.
    3. Notification Mailer – As you see it was a long journey even before we started to talk about the Notification Mailer. There are a lot of things which may go wrong and this is why it is important to know the whole flow of the events to troubleshoot the mail sending functionality in EBS. We’ve come to the last processing step before the message leaves EBS boundaries.
    3.1. Reads message – the Notification Mailer dequeues messages fromWF_NOTIFICATION_OUT queue on regular basis. In fact this is the only place where it looks for the new messages to be sent. This means if a notification doesn’t has a corresponding event ready for dequeuing in the WF_NOTIFICATION_OUT queue it will never be send. As soon as a new message arrives Notification Mailer dequeues it and gets prepared for sending;
    3.2. Sends email via SMTP – This is the step when the message leaves EBS. The Notification Mailer sends the email using text retrieved from the advanced queue during previous step;
    3.3. Updates status – as the last step in the notification sending process the Notification Mailer updates a MAIL_STATUS column in WF_NOTIFICATION table.

  • How to check if my fan is working ?

    After 30 minutes listening a dvd, my satellite A100-768 is getting slow and the CPU temperature (Speed fan) is around 86 degres... the fan does not start. If I blow into the extract system, DVD start again. How can I check my fan ??

    Hi
    Could you please explain what do you want to check on the fan???
    If there is something wrong, the notebook must be opened to check the hardware!
    But if you will do it by yourself, you will lose the warranty coverage.
    Therefore I dont recommend opening the notebook or removing any covers!!
    Contact the ASP and explain him the situation with the cooling modules
