How to create a .java file through a j2me program?

I am trying to develop a small application in j2me which needs dynamic creation of a .class file. For this purpose I tried to create .java file through my j2me code, but i could not do that..I want to know whether a java file can be created on a mobile phone or not..
I would be grateful to you on your help in this regard..

1.create a file called abc.java
2.extract its class file...For +1+ ie to create a file (any file, no matter java or not) from j2me, device need to support File Connection specified in [jsr 75|http://www.jcp.org/en/jsr/detail?id=75]. If you're interested, learn the jsr API on how to create and manage needed file.
For +2+ described as extract its class file one needs to have java compiler (javac) on device. *) If you're interested, ask for more details at [Java Compiler forum|http://forums.sun.com/forum.jspa?forumID=7]. Also, if the class file is for CLDC then javac needs to support "JDK 1.3-compliant" compilation. To create CLDC classes on device, one also needs to have a preverifier tool. Check this at Java Compiler forum if needed.

Error while running executable file through java in WinNT

I would like to run an executable file with Java.
- If I try with notepad or paint, i.e. Windows Applications,
  I have no problem.
- I also can run Non-Windows-Own Applications, except one.
  I get an error message, if I want to run this program through Java.
I have tried following commands to run an executable file.
Runtime.getRuntime().exec("cmd.exe /c "+command);
Runtime.getRuntime().exec("cmd.exe /c start "+command);
Runtime.getRuntime().exec("cmd.exe /c start /wait "+command);
Runtime.getRuntime().exec("cmd.exe /k start "+command);
command : the path to the executable file
I can run the application directly, if I click the icon on desktop,
but not through Java.

The application is "old".
I think it was written for Win 3.1.
Therefore I don't know if there is any other
possibilty to run a "DOS Exe File" through Java.

Iam having one file in some folder which will come through FTP , whenever file comes to the folder i should call the some form fmx file through JAVA so that my form will take care rest of the things .
My question is how to call fmx through Java executable in windows environment.

Thnaks for the Info. But my requirement is different.
1) whenever i received a file through FTP from other server to my server , some folder say d:\Test
a) some batch program has to trigger and first it should take the backup of the received file to some other folder say d:\archive
b) some batch program has to trigger to call the forms fmx file so that form will take care of reading from the file and put the data to database for the received file in d:\Test.
Assume that it is in windows environment/Linux Environment . How i can achieve these tasks. There should not any user intervention in this , everything is automatic.
Please guide me any solutions

Simple Question Calling methods from Java files through JSP without JVM

Hi.
I've got a simple question (forigve my newbieness)...
If I'm running Tomcat can I exectue a method in a compiled Java file from a JSP page without having the JVM installed on the server?
Any thoughts or additional comments would be appreciated.

the JSP pages to run in, in which case, yes, the JSP
pages can call the other Java code... as long as it's

Error while deploying EAR file through SDM

Hi All,
I am deploying EAR file through SDM. Its taking too much time to deploy in the 3rd stage (its just a simple hello file for testing purpose and its still in that stage for 2 hours).
When I see the log, I can see some fata error. Please suggest me what should I do.

Hi, im newby in java,
i was trying to compile java files, and after that i will use it in JSP as javabean.
I have 2 files already, the first file is a connection code, and its compiled successfully, it looks like this

as you can see above im using "package", and yes i have manage to put all my java files within the correct path (ROOT\WEB-INF\classes\my_package)
And also, i have test this class as javabean on JSP file and it works.
There for i continue to create the second java file, as a purpose to create a back engine for JSP. I use the same package as ConnectionBean.java, it looks like this

I think, i am pretty much sure that all my configuration (wheater its Apache TomCat, Environment Variable or PostgreSQL server) was good, as a prove, i was able to use ConnectionBean.class in my JSP file.
I susspect the problem is related with "package", seems i cannot use ConnectionBean class within ListPageEngine class when i use package.
For another information, i didn't install such thing as J2EE, i only install JDK 1.5, i also guess this might be the cause.
Right now im all stuck, i try to find thread which might be related with my problem but i failed to find it, most of them get the same answer by UncleSAM which are

finally folks, i found answer to my own problem hehehehe..
the problem is on the compiling command (javac ... my_file.java), i found that i need to add some parameter on the command to make it works.

set the JDK path of the current project to point to
the path of JDK 1.5.0 . I've also tried to compile at
command prompt with "javac". I'm getting the same
error of "Undefinedclassloader" with long StatckTrace.
I don't know anything about JBuilder either. If you use the command prompt and enter the full path to the 1.5 javac.exe then that will prove whether the issue is using an older javac or not. For example "c:\j2sdk1.5.0_01\bin\javac HelloWorld.java"

1.Please check in the composit note whether any other SCA or SDA needs to be deployed before the selected one.
2. Try to deploy it after restarting the J2ee-engine.
3. Download the file again from sapmarket place and try with new one.

I haven't the foggiest idea, except to perhaps suggest firing a script by using the AIActionManager::PlayAction command. That's assuming you can 'action' the use of a script though. If you can, it should be possible that way, if not, I have no idea.

How to compile dunamically genrated java files through java program?

Hi, I have a requirement where i generate java files from WSDL dynamically using wsdl2java jaxbri. I need to compile these files dynamically on the fly and jar it. Everything should happen through java program. Bcos everything is dynamic here, no information is known (like dir, file names ...) until the runtime. Everything is user fed.
the directories may contain other directories with java files. its recursive
i tried com.sun.tools.javac.Main.. but either its not scaling to my needs or i donno how to wok with this.
is there any option to compile the java files as they are created thru JAXBRI (wsdl2java)?
any help is appreciated..

as bcos the the java files have inter-dependencies they have to be compiled as a bunch something like (java *.java). I donno how to do this in javac.Main tool
Once all these files are compiled i need to create a jar out of them
