Error calling a method of the tree control in BDC

I'm connecting two systems Iplan(project management tool) with SAP PS using SAP XI.
I've written an BDC(RFC) to assign people for the activity in an project(cj20n) it works fine in the foreground. But it doesn't work in the background.It doesn't give me error also.I've sap all authorization.
When I connect with XI its throwing me an error "Error calling a method of the tree control" message type A (using the same user to connect r3). I believe something we should do prior handling the tree control in a BDC. IF any body come across this situation please let me know. your help is appreciated.

BDCs over enjoy transactions do not get along together. The containers and controls is more of a gui thing, and in background sometimes the BDC has a hard time with them. I would suggest using the non-enjoy tcode instead, CJ20.

In BD87, the selection screen paramters that are given are changed on date (from and to) and IDOC status 51,66,69 and 64 and the message type is "Öutbound interface of picked shipments"
Please guide.

Go to se38 - enter the program - execute (F8) - choose the variant that is there in the background job - run in forground first
if the run is good - then check the program - SE38 - Display the program then see
I just saw the above message BD87... .if that is true, you dont have to do all these
I dont think it is possible to schedule a job with BD87. Is this the first time or is any job completed without errors for this?

How to binding incoming xml node list to the tree control as dataProvider

Recently, I faced into one issue: I want to binding incoming xml node (it's not avaliable at start) list to the tree control as a dataProvider.
Since the incoming xml node list is not avaliable at beginning but I needs to bind it to the tree, so I create one virtual one in the xml, and prepare to remove it before the tree is shown. (ready for the actual node adding). But It did not work.
Please see the presudo-code here:
1. Model layer(CsModel.as)

For method: cleanData()，It's expected that when the treePage is shown, we first delete the virutalOne to provide one 'clear' tree since we don't want show virtualOne to the user. The virutalOne node just for building the relationship between treeData and treeXML at beginning. But the side effect of this method, I found, is that the relationship between treeXML and treeData was cut off. And this leads to that when I added new node (by click the 'addNode' button) to the xmlXML, the xmlData was not affected at all !
So Is there any other way to solve this issue or bind the incoming xml node list to the xmlListCollection which will be used as Tree control's dataProvider ?

If u want to display the name : value then u can do like this

yes that is true, ajax calls can only be made to an endpoint like aspx pages/web service, basically anything that can return a http response etc. User Control can be embedded inside of aspx pages.

Not able to get the database data into the Tree Control

Hi Everybody,
I have to populate the tree control with nodes and items, which is to be populated from the database, and the tree control is dynamic. I mean, there is a toolbar, whenever a pushbutton is clicked, depending on that the tree contents has to be changed.
If anybody had worked with CL_GUI_COLUMN_TREE control to get the data from database, depending upon the pushbutton selected in Toolbar, please paste the seudocode for it.

How to use the drop event of the tree control in LabVIEW 8.20?

Hi,
I am using the two tree controls in my application to provide a option for the user to drag and drop item from one tree to the other. I have to validate the user selection. I tried to capture the user drop event using the event structure. The problem I am facing is, I am not able to drop the item even though i have wired a constant true to the filter(Accepted?) in the event case. I have enable the property(Allow droping) in the right menu of the tree control also.
While configuring an event case for (drop, drag entered and some thing like this) only I am getting the problem otherwise it is working fine.
What do i need to do to caprture the drop event ?
Is there any way to avoid the item duplication while droping a new item in the tree control ?
or how can i do this?

By avoiding item duplication, do you mean that you don't want the same item to be in the old tree control or do you not want more than one item in the new tree control?

Calling a method in the backing bean when rendering a table

I'm rendering a table that begins with :
<h:dataTable value="#{showRooms.rooms}" var="rowRoom" ...
There are several properties I'm displaying. Some are just displayed as they appear from the database like:
<h:outputText value="#{rowRoom.roomNumber}"/>
However, some I need to translate so they display a more meaningful message to the users. For example, status is stored 'A', or 'NA', but this should display 'Available' or 'Not Available'. To do this, I'm taking an idea I saw in another forum by providing a method to call and translate the text. For example:

My problem is how can I invoke a method and pass in the current value of status for that row in the table. I think I need something like this:

But that doesn't work. I can invoke the getDisplayedStatus method when passing in a hardcoded parameter, but it won't translate the value of both expressions(the method and the method param). How can I achieve this?

Yes. I've done that and it does work....sort of. It works as long as I refer to it as 'displayStatus'. It looks up the getDisplayStatus and returns a value. The problem is getting the current status value from the object in the List. For example, the 3rd row in the table has either 'A;' or 'NA' for status. I need to know this value in order to do my translation. The way I see it, I either need
1.)a way to call a method on the backing bean and pass the value of status from the current row into the method.
-or-
2.)in getDisplayStatus, I need a way to access the current row's value, perhaps through an expression. This appears to be what you can do in the AbstractPageBean class that all backing beans inherit in Studio Creator. I've seen code in a getter like 'getValue(#{currentRow.status}'), but I don't know how that is done. I looked for the source to AbstractPageBean on the web but couldn't find it - maybe its not open-source.
Anyway, please share if anyone has a solution. I'm sure this has been done before.

Thanks for all your replies. I want this kind of a functionality because Im trying to invove a DC (Child DC) from a Parent DC such that the Child DC's view is displayed onto the view container of the Parent DC. I have embedded using 'interface view of a component instance' in the Parent Window and am able to create the component and set usage though the onPlugDefault of the Child View.
But I observe that when i make a call from the parent, the flow is like this:
1. The wdDoInit of the Child Component Controller gets triggered first.
2. Then the wdDoInit of the Child's VIEW gets triggered
3. and THEN the onPlugDefault of the Child Component Interface View
What I had actually wanted was to Fire onPlugDefault where Im calling a method LoadData(), after which the Child DC's view must be triggered so it can display the fetched data.
What is actually happening is the view gets displayed, but no data is displayed in the view.
Right now I have just given a work around where Im triggering LoadData() of the COmponent COntroller from the wdDoInit of the VIEW.
Is there a better way to do this? I find it strange that I have to load the Data from the view.

Next I check Shadow Copies details from volume properties (right click on C or other drive then select properties then click on Shadow Copies Tab) and found it is showing the same error code..
From this error it is clear that the issue is inside the registry hive and due to junk hive shadow copies services not able to working properly.
For me the server have two disk we check disk signature at MBR and found the disk signature was.
Signature disk 0 : 9351912b
Signature disk 0 : FDFBE035
But at registry we found lot of nonexistance signature. Which indicate lot of junk valu inside registry.
Now how can we resolve this issue?
It is very simple just delete the registry key “volume” (registry key “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\STORAGE\Volume”) and reboot the server it will “Volume” registry hive automatically.
Note:
When you remove registry key it is showing error unable to delete, then please right click on it select permission then take ownership and assign full permission to your login account.
Please be careful when you delete registry key because system can fully crashed if you delete or modify wrong registry key.
Your can take a backup of the registry key by exporting.

Error calling class methods CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES

Hi all,
I have a requirement in BAPI (integrating solman to portal) to download file from app. server to local directory. I used the below FM to get temp directory of presntation server.
CALL METHOD CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES=>GET_TEMP_DIRECTORY
   CHANGING
     TEMP_DIR             = LV_TEMP_DIR
   EXCEPTIONS
     CNTL_ERROR           = 1
     ERROR_NO_GUI         = 2
     NOT_SUPPORTED_BY_GUI = 3
     others               = 4.
   CALL METHOD cl_gui_cfw=>flush.
It works fine in R3, but when i called it from portal it shows Access not possible using 'NULL' object reference with a short dump .

caught nor passed along using a RAISING clause, in the procedure
"GET_TEMP_DIRECTORY" "(METHOD)"
Since the caller of the procedure could not have expected this exceptio
to occur, the running program was terminated.
The reason for the exception is:
Attempt to access a component using 'NULL' object reference (points
to nothing).
An object reference must point to an object (an instance of a class)
before you can use it to access components (variable:
"CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES=>HANDLE").
Either the reference has not yet been set, or it has been reset to
'NULL' by a CLEAR statement.
When i put external break point and the dump comes during execution of CALL METHOD cl_gui_cfw=>flush.
Is it not possible to use CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES in RFC ??.
