Error compiling jaxb classes

Hello!
This is my first pass through the world of jaxb. I have a schema; I compiled it into a bunch of classes. One of them has an error.
In this declaration:
public class MSVValidator implements XMLSerializer, IDContextProvider2 {My IDE (Eclipse) has some heartburn with the IDContextProvider2 interface. The error message is as follows:
The type org.relaxng.datatype.ValidationContext cannot be resolved. It is indirectly referenced from required .class filesIt has a point. I can't find it in any of the 4 libs that come with jaxb (jaxb-api.jar, jaxb-impl.jar, jaxb-libs.jar, jaxb-xjc.jar). I know I'm not supposed to decompile class files, but if I were to decompile this one I feel sure I would find:
import org.relaxng.datatype.Datatype;
import org.relaxng.datatype.ValidationContext;do I just need to go out and find the proper support lib, or is this a flag that I'm using an out-of-date set of libs, or ????
I'm pretty sure that I can fix this by throwing libs at it, but if that's not the right answer I'd like to find out the right answer.
Thanks in advance - dan fox

it does have a point because you need to add more than those 4 .jar files to comple the jaxb generated classes....for example you need relaxngDatatype.jar file from the jwsdp-1.5\jwsdp-shared\lib folder. if you aren't using the jwsdp then you need to download these extra jars.... find out where the xjc.bat is getting its classpath and get the all the jars from there....
good luck

    this is the first time I have tried to load a class with generics into the database. It also didn't like the annotations, but I have removed them.

    Good suggestion, but we need to keep the source in the database.
    However I upgraded my database client to 11g and loadjava loaded the source without errors.
    I can only guess that loadjava is parsing the file before loading the class and is not the lightweight application that I had assumed it was.

    The compiler is complaining about the file name being too long. This is happening because the java classes when generated from XSD contains deep nesting of inner classes. So when it comes to compile the .class name file is too long for the operating system.
    I am trying this on unix box.
    I wonder if there is a way to configure XJC so that it does not produce inner classes but instead keep them out.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    many thanks

    Flattening your schema definition will flatten the output files, too -- that will probably be nice for coding as well since you wont have to use class names such as SomeTypeNestedInAnotherTypeThatHasYetAnotherType. Instead of having all of the elements defined directly within the enclosing root element, define logical chunks at the top level and incorporate them in the definition of real root element of your documents by reference.

  • JAXB class conflict error

    I am new to JAXB.
    I am using external customization file to create JAXB classes.
    I have one XSD file which includes another XSD. Both of them have the same element name and the classes are getting created in the same folder. I have tried each and every option of the options mentioned in the fix collides examples of JAXB sun tutorial without any success.
    Please guide me on this.
    This is the following error:
    compile:

    rd.java" in the same directory.
    [xjc] unknown location
    [xjc] failure in the XJC task. Use the Ant -verbose switch for more details

    This is because of name conflicts in the xsd. If the <xsd:element> name is same as some <xsd:complexType> and that is referenced from the element this happens. If you provide different names, it will solve the problem

  • Compilation Error for import classes not found in generated Proxy Class

    Hi,
    We are generating java classes for the COM dll using JCOM com2java compiler.
    We are getting a compilation error for import class not found when compiling the
    generated Proxy java source code. It can't find the com.bea.jcom.Dispatch class that
    the generated Proxy java source code extends. It also can't find com.bea.jcom.Variant
    or com.bea.jcom.Param. These are interfaces or data types or classes used by COM

    I added weblogic.jar to my class path and the only Dispatch class i found inside
    the weblogic.jar is com.linar.jintegra.Dispatch;
    We have com objects for which we want to develop an EJB client to interface with
    the COM object using JCOM with Native Mode disabled.
    Any help on the compilation error..I tried changing the extends for Dispatch to com.linar.jintegra.Dispatch
    but the other errors are still there.
    To begin with, I think the generated code should not refer to any of the COM data

    Any help please.

    resolved this issue.
    1. Edit $APPL_TOP/admin/adovars.env file -
    Add the following jar files to the AF_CLASSPATH line -
    Full path of /...../iAS/Apache/Jsdk/lib/jsdk.jar
    Full path of /...../iAS/Apache/Jserv/libexec/ApacheJServ.jar
    2. Bounce the concurrent manager in order to have the changes take effect.

  • JDev Compiler Error? - Compiling inner classes

    This maybe just an interpretation of the language standard, but the compiler behavaviour is different from previous versions of JDeveloper and other Java IDE's, with no explanation found.
    Using JDeveloper 9.02.829 the following error is received.
    Error(13,9): class test$abc not found in class test.test
    when compiling the following class
    package test;
    public class test
    class abc { }
    public test()
    public void t ()
    abc a = new abc();
    The solution is to ensure the package name and class name are different (case sensitive) iff the class contains an inner class
    Whilst this can be done it can pose a problem porting older code into this release of JDeveloper, whilst no problem exists with other IDE's or older versions of the JDevloper IDE.
    The question is this a bug or a feature?

    This is a bug that got fixed a while back. The bug is with
    the fact that the class and the package have the same name.
    The bug is definitely fixed in 9.0.3 Preview Release which
    is currently available on OTN. 9.0.3 Production should be
    available anyday now.

    Can you please check your classpath incase there are still jaxb-ea jars in it.

    For those who would have the same problem, here is how I could eventually fix it.
    Since the Flex Test Drive is sometimes out of sync with flash builder 4, I recreated a project using other help pages on Adobe site :
    Entry point :
    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Flex/4.0/AccessingData/WSbde04e3d3e6474c4-668f02f4120d422cf08- 7ffd.html
    As suggested, I used the New Project wizard to create a new project, with :
    Application server type : J2EE
    Check the radio button "Use remote object access service : BlazeDS"
    Then, as indicated in following pages (section "Accessing BlazeDS")... :
    file:///C:/Mes%20documents%20C/Commun/Developpement/Documentation/HT-Tracks/AccessingData/ help.adobe.com/en_US/Flex/4.0/AccessingData/WSbde04e3d3e6474c4-668f02f4120d422cf08-7ffe.ht ml#WSbde04e3d3e6474c4-19a3f0e0122be55e1b7-8000
    ...I selected the "Data / Connect to Data/Services..." menu option, which started the Data/service connection wizard.
    There, I selected a BlazeDS (and not Web Services) service type, and everything went fine.
    Suggestion to adobe staff : maybe it would be useful to update the Flex Test Drive to reflect Flash Builder 4 ?
    Very nice product anyway, so far, congratulations...
    Rgds
    Marc.

  • Error in Jaxb binding for wsdl document

    Hello
    below is my wsdl and binding.xjb that I am using. I want to rename the " <element name="getRelatedAssets">" name from 'getRelatedAssets' to 'getRelatedAssetsX'.
    But when I run it i got the following error
    [ERROR] compiler was unable to honor this property customization. It is attached to a wrong place, or its inconsistent with other bindings.
    [ERROR] (the above customization is attached to the following location in the schema)

    and here is my binding file:

    </jaxb:bindings>
    </jaxws:bindings>
    </jaxws:bindings>
    Can anyone help me out in finding what wrong I am doing.
    I appreciate.

    Well, As I mentioned There is an element named 'getRelatedAssets' and I want to rename it to some other name like 'getRelatedAssetsXXXXX' which would not be in Schema using jax binding.
    Note. When I manually change the name to 'getRelatedAssetsXXXXX' in WSDL, it works. but I want to make it using jaxbinding.
    Anyways,Thanks for the reply.

  • "error compiling movie: unknown error" in premiere cs3.2 / win8

    This happens during both Export and Render Work Area, as soon as the renderer hits one of my assets. Initially, this asset was an uncompressed AVI with an alpha channel, over another uncompressed AVI. You can see the Progress bar suddenly get extremely slow when it hits that point, and then it gives the unknown error within about 10 frames. As far as I remember, this NEVER happened when I was rendering on my laptop, running Windows 7 (a former temporary setup while I was waiting to get a new workstation).
    I've tried taking some pressure off Premiere... I rendered the sequence in AfterEffects, so Premiere didn't have to deal with the compositing. I also wrapped the asset in a MOV container, with PNG compression, so the files weren't so large. This seemed to help in certain cases -- using this method, I can get through some of the biggest assets. It still happens a bunch of times throughout my sequence, though.
    I have the rendering optimized for "memory" in the project settings. I also have more than enough hard drive space on the drive I'm exporting to.
    My instinct and limited powers of observation suggest to me that this is a memory problem. This computer's not exactly a world-class production system. However, there are other clips -- mostly HD footage directly from the camera (HVX200) but also some shorter-duration uncompressed AVI's -- that seem to render fine. Plus, even some clips already recompressed to MOV's in AE are causing the same problem. I don't want to have to fiddle with this on every project til I can afford Adobe CC... has anyone else seen problems like this, and found some kind of broader solution to them?

    If you have not seen this Adobe KB article on Error Compiling Movie, it might also be helpful: http://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/kb/error-compiling-movie-rendering-or.html
    Good luck,

  • Error When Using Class :(

    Hey,
    Class:
    package
        import flash.display.MovieClip;
        import flash.events.Event;
        public class Main extends MovieClip
            public var enemyA:Array = [];
            public var birdA:Array = [];
            public var rowNum:int = 2;
            private var gap:int = 100;
            private var obj_no = 2;
            public var enemy1:mychar = new mychar();
            public var TheBird:BirdChar = new BirdChar();
            public function Main()
                // constructor code
                createEnemyF();
                createBirdF();
                this.addEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME,loopF);
            public function createEnemyF()
                for (var i:int = 0; i < rowNum; i++)
                    for (var j:int = 0; j < obj_no; j++)
                        enemy1.x = Math.random() * stage.stageWidth - enemy1.width;
                        enemy1.y = - i * (gap + enemy1.height) - 30.65;
                        enemyA.push(enemy1);
                        addChild(enemy1);
            public function createBirdF() {
                TheBird.x = 270.95;
                TheBird.y = 350.95;
                birdA.push(TheBird);
                addChild(TheBird);
            public function loopF(event:Event) {
                updateEnemyPositionsF();
                updateBirdPositionsF();
                hitTestF();
            public function updateEnemyPositionsF() {
                enemy1.y +=  2;
            public function updateBirdPositionsF() {

                if(TheBird.hitTestObject(enemy1))
                    gotoAndPlay(5);
                    trace('The Bird Hit Enemy 1');
    This conflicts and causes this error:
    1046: Type was not found or was not a compile-time constant: MouseEvent
    ^ ^ Code repeats to all of my event listeners
    Thanks for your time.

    Thanks, i thought it might be this because of previous problems but i seen i already had : import flash.events.Event; so i thought that would be OK!
    Second Error:
    1180: Call to an undefined method Timer.
    I think this is the same sort of thing but what to import to fix this?
    So far these are my imports:
        import flash.display.MovieClip;
        import flash.events.Event;
        import flash.events.MouseEvent;
        import flash.events.TimerEvent;
    Thanks for helping.

    Looks like you imported events.Event but not events.MouseEvent (or some similar syntax) basically you must import MouseEvents separately from other Events.
