Error Connecting or Deploying from JDEV to BPEL Server

Hi,
I am using BPEL PM 10.1.2 installed on a UNIX box.
I am unable to connect from JDEV to the BPEL server installed in a UNIX server. I get the following error when trying to test the connection
org.apache.soap.SOAPException:Unsupported response content type "text/plain", must be: "text/xml". Response was:
<html><head><title>Error instantiating web-application</title></head><bodyError instantiating web-application

</body></html>
This has been working fine until recently.
I am still able to test processes from the BPEL console.
Please let me know if anyone has come across this error earlier.

Hi,
change the named connection in JDeveloper to not use localhost reference but the data server host reference. The data sources are created from the available named connections.Alternatively you can switch off the automatic datasource creation in Jdeveloper and create them manually

  • Error connecting 8i DB from Jdev 11g

    Hi All-
    I am trying to connect to 8.1.7 version Database from JDeveloper 11.1.1.4. Am getting error "Unsupported database version".
    I google for this error and found the 11.1.1.4 JDBC driver does not support 8i DB, so we need to download the previous version JDBC driver and include it in Jdeveloper library.
    Can you please let me know which version of JDBC driver supports connecting to 8i DB, the link to download that and also the steps that I should follow in jdeveloper configuration.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Ramesh

    Hi All,
    I have a similar problem. I need to connect to Oracle database 8i from weblogic server 10.3.5 (Jdev 11.1.1.5).
    Where can the 8i compatible drivers be found?
    Great thanks in advance.

  • Error while converting schema from oracle to SQL server

    Hello,
    I am getting following error while converting schema from oracle to SQL server using SSMA.
    I get Errors 1-3 while migrating procedures and error 4 while migrating a table.
    1- O2SS0050: Conversion of identifier 'SYSDATE' is not supported.
    2- O2SS0050: Conversion of identifier 'to_date(VARCHAR2, CHAR)' is not supported.
    3- O2SS0050: Conversion of identifier 'regexp_replace(VARCHAR2, CHAR)' is not supported.
    4- O2SS0486: <Primary key name> constraint is disabled in Oracle and cannot be converted because SQL Server does not support disabling of primary or unique constraint.
    Please suggest.
    Thanks.

    The exact statement in oracle side which causing this error (O2SS0050:
    Conversion of identifier 'to_date(VARCHAR2, CHAR)' is not supported.) is below:
    dStartDate:= to_date(sStartDate,'MON-YYYY');
    Statement causing error O2SS0050:
    Conversion of identifier 'regexp_replace(VARCHAR2, CHAR)' is not supported is below.
    nCount2:= length(regexp_replace(sDataRow,'[^,]'));
    So there is no statement which is using to_date(VARCHAR2,
    CHAR) and regexp_replace(VARCHAR2, CHAR) in as such. 'MON-YYYY'  and '[^,]'
    are CHAR values hence SSMA is unable to convert it from varchar2 to char.
    Regarding SYSDATE issue, you mean to put below code in target(SQL) side in SSMA ?
    dDate date := sysdate;
    Thanks.

  • Deploying from JDev 10131 to BPELPM in AS101202

    Couple of questions:
    1) Is it possible to do the above (across the versions above) ?
    2) Why is it that when I go to the integration server connection server wizard, and go to step 2 of 3 (ie. "Connection"), and select a valid Application Server and hostname as my local machine and port 8888 (or 80), I get a failed on the "Test Connection", with the following:
    Application Server: OK
    BPEL Process Manager Server: FAILED
    ESB Server: FAILED
    The details screen shows the
    BPEL Identity Service : Failed
    java.net.ConnectException:Connection refused: connect
    My BPELPM seems ok, as in I can connect to the BPEL console. I am using a Midtier AS installation of BPELPM.
    What port do I need to specify? Or what else do I look for?
    Thanks and Regards.

    Apart from home I have OC4J_PORTAL and OC4J_BPEL and the orabpel application is deployed to OC4J_BPEL.
    What should be the port in the "Step 2 of 3: Connection"? The help says the following:
    "Enter a port number or accept the default value. Use the default value of 8888 if you are creating a connection to Oracle BPEL Server available with the SOA Suite Basic installation type. If you are creating a connection to Oracle BPEL Server available with the BPEL Process Manager for OracleAS Middle Tier installation type, the default value is 80. "
    But I already had another process listening on Port 80 when I installed the 10gAS and the BPELPM. So what port do you think would have been used? Or could it be some other problem?

  • Error connecting to database from Crystal Report

    Hi,
    I am using Crystal report 2008, .NET 3.5 on Windows Server 2008 + SQL Server 2008

    I have tried the following:
    1) running the batch (that generates the report) in SIT environment to call SIT database
    Working fine
    2) running the batch (that generates the report) in SIT environment to call UAT database
    Will give the above error
    3) running the batch (that generates the report) in UAT environment to call UAT database
    Will give the above error
    4) running the batch (that generates the report) in UAT environment to call SIT database
    Working fine
    For reading report from BO Server, I have tried viewing the report directly and scheduling the report directly from BO Server and it works fine.
    Also I have tried to 'verify database' on the UAT report, but it seems it didn't solve the issue.
    Does anyone have any idea how to solve this? Or what could cause this?
    Appreciate your help.
    Thanks.

    Here's how I connect to the database

                    With CrExportOptions
                        .ExportDestinationType = ExportDestinationType.DiskFile
                        .ExportFormatType = IIf(reportFormat = IAConstant.PDF, _

                    crDoc.Export()
                Else
                    Throw New ApplicationException(Constant.APP_ERR & " - Report not found")
                End If
    The error is thrown when trying to export --> crDoc.Export()
    The username and password are correct because it is the same username and password that the batch used to extract the data in the initial stage.
    Here's how my batch works:
    1) Extract and massage data directly from .net SP (this is working fine)
    2) Obtain the report then use the same connection string (for physical path report) or use the report connection string (for bo server report), this report is using Stored Procedure (the problem starts here)
    For reading report from bo server, I have also checked that the connection from the report itself is correct, because we can schedule/view the report from bo server successfully.
    SQL Driver, is it the SQL Native Client you are saying? It's SQL Native Client 10.
    I think we are using Business Objects Enterprise XI 3.1 Client Tools SP2 in our apps server.

  • Error connecting to Essbase from Analyzer 7.0

    Hi,We have just installed Analyzer 7.0.1 with Essbase 6.5.5. on Windows 2003 servers. Everything seem to be working fine except when I try to define a new Essbase connection in Administrator Tools, I get this error."[1033]Native:2001 Essbase Error;nested exception is:com.hyperion.apAPException:[1033]Native:2001 Essbase Error"I'm able to connect to Essbase from Excel-Addin, no problem.Any ideas?Thanks for your help.Peter

    I would try installing the Essbase 6.5.4.2 runtime on your Analyzer server. If this is the same server as Essbase don't worry as it shouldn't effect the operation of the server process. This certainly worked with Analyzer 7.0 and 6.5.1.Hope this helps.Paul Armitagewww.analitica.co.uk

  • Error connecting to Oracle from when running SSIS Package on Windows 64-bit

    Hi.
    I have an SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) Package that reads a view on Oracle and loads data into table in SQL Server 2005. This is on a Windows 2008 Server (64-bit). SQL Server 2005 with SP3. Oracle Client 11g (32 bit & 64 bit) Runtime Version installed on server. The server has been rebooted since installing OracleClient.
    I get the following error when run as a SQLAgent job 64 Bit (Execution type SQL Server Integration Services Package)...

    When I execute this same exact package as a SQLAgent job 32-bit (type Operating System CmdExec) it runs successfully. When I run the package using the Execute Package Utility, it runs successfully. When I am editting the package in BIDS I can connect to Oracle. For both 64 and 32 bit, I use a dtsconfig file which specifies the Oracle connection string and password.
    Someone mentioned on another forum that maybe there is no Oracle ODBC driver for 64-bit Windows. I would assume that the OracleClient 64-bit would include that.
    I hope I have included all info needed. Please let me know if you may have a resolution to this problem.
    Thanks.
    John

    I was trying to transfer data from oracle to sql server 2008 on a daily basis.
    I have very hard time connecting to oracle from ssis package on windows server 2008. I am almost dead and cannot find any help. i was able to connect to oracle using import/export 64 bit feature of SQL Server 2008 using Oracle provider for OLEDB. But I am not sure why the same does not work with BIDS?
    Here's the environment info:
    1. Oracle Client 10g
    2. SQL Server 2008
    3. Windows Server 2008
    Appreciate your help. Please save me.

    Hi Jolene,
    This error indicates a mismatch between the thick client library JDeveloper is using to access repository and the database version.
    Which version / release of Oracle is repository installed on?
    Thanks,

    Hi ,
       I found a document which says that MDM4J is the legacy API and is considered deprecated .The MDM Java API is the new one .I have both of them in the java build path . I am not sure if this is that cause of the problem .
    Now I had a look at the javadoc for the new API but I am not able to locate the class to obtain a connection to the MDM server from a custom application being built in Netweaver Developer Studio . Can someone help me out with the same ?What would be the code to obtain the connection to the MDM server with the new JAVA API ?

  • Ant deploy from Jdev works fine - same ant deploy from command line fails

    Hi
    I'm using Jdev 10.1.3 and OAS 10.1.3 and created some web services. I can deploy using the Wizard in JDev - works fine, created a build.xml file using the <oracle:deploy> ant task. Also work fine from JDeveloper.
    But when running from command line (windows) I get the following:

    I have studied the web for suggestion also http://download-east.oracle.com/docs/cd/B25221_04/web.1013/b14431/anttasks.htm#sthref164 but nothing seems to work. Tried copying oracle jars to my ant directory (ant version 1.6.5) but still no success (above error message disappered but other came instead).
    Why must this process be so complex. Can anyone help?

    Hi,
    You need to have the following jars in your classpath before firing the ant deploy task.
    ${Oracle_Home}\j2ee\utilities\ant-oracle-classes.jar;
    ${Oracle_Home}\j2ee\home\lib\adminclient.jar;
    ${Oracle_Home}\2ee\home\lib\oc4j-internal.jar;
    ${Oracle_Home}\j2ee\home\lib\javax77.jar;
    ${Oracle_Home}\j2ee\home\lib\javax88.jar;
    ${Oracle_Home}\j2ee\home\lib\jmxri.jar;
    ${Oracle_Home}\OracleAS_1\webservices\lib\wsa.jar;
    Please check your classpath and add the above jars, if not present and try ant deploy task now.
    I suppose it should work fine.
    Hope its helpful.

  • Error Connecting to Oracle from J2EE SDK1.4

    I am getting the following error when trying to Ping Oracle from a J2EE 1.4 SDK:

    I have the following connection information

    Can anyone give me any pointers?

    It looks okay to me. The only thing that jumped out at me is that normally Oracle is on 1521, not the current port you have. Otherwise, I'll drop back 15 and punt on this one.

    Hi Steve,
    More info:
    I created a new application, model: 1 entity + 1 view, client: wizard generated form amd it works.
    I created a new JDev installation without migrating the setup of previous versions or installing the updates. I kept the default JVM for all my projects.
    I opened a copy of the 10.1.3 application, created a new wizard generated panel based on one entity based view and I get the error?

  • Can't Execute JAR file deployed from JDev 903

    Hi Everyone:
    I took the Oracle beginning Java class, and got a copy of JDeveloper 9, and started in on a project. The task was to create a small module that will allow users with no direct SQL access to change their Oracle passwords. The good news is that it runs great from within JDev; it catches exceptions cleanly, it handles multiple databases with no problems. The bad news is that I cannot get it to run from a batch file or command line (client is Windows). I have run 'setvars', I have copied the CLASSPATH from the run window in JDev, all to no avail.
    I am trying to deploy the app as an executable jar file. It's not meant to be an applet, because of the security implications.
    I would gladly RTFM, but the FM's that I have gloss over the deployment step in Jdev. I figure it's something obvious, but I just cannot figure it out.
    Any suggestions? Help a newbie...
    Thanks,
    Mike

    Hi Mike,
    I suggest you take a look at the log window of JDev, when you've successfully run your project.
    If the log window is not displayed, go to View | Log.
    Cut the command line, invoking javaw.exe, and paste it into your favorite editor.
    Change javaw.exe into java.exe, save your file as a bat file, go in a DOS console, and run the bat file.
    Let me know if it fixes your problem.
    Thanks,
    - Olivier
