Error creating connection pool for WLS6.1 for DB2 connect

Hi,
We have installed licensed copy of Weblogic 6.1 Applciation server on HPUX 11.0.
Our backend system is DB2 on Mainframe (S/390). We have installed DB2Connect
JDBC driver ver 7.1 on HPUX. While creating pool throught weblogic console with
following parameters:
Name: DB2Pool
URL:jdbc:db2:INFOSYSG
Driver Classname: COM.ibm.db2.jdbc.app.DB2Driver
Properties:
user=jargon
password=jargon
Then appropriate Target was selected.
When server was started following error was recevied on console:
"CLI0647E Error allocating DB2 environment handle, rc=db2jdbc"
Any pointers to the solution are welcome.

Hi,
thank you for your answer, but i already fixed my problem.
i simply put the profile-script of the db2-instance into the start script of the
weblogic server.
i didn´t really figure out so far which variable was missing, but now it works.
unfortunately i found that this driver supports only 2 connections at the same
time when using jdk 1.3.0 :-(.

you may check my start-script, but in my eyes all db/2 stuff shouldbe
found.

Hi Punam,
You need to make sure that all driver's native libraries are
available to the Weblogic. Check if SQLLIB\bin is on the path
and let us know if it helps.

    Hi,
I have created the Connection Pool to point to the DB2 database and has successfully
created the entity bean jar file. However,

    Hi Jimmy,
You need to assign a target for your connection pool.
You may do it by going to console, selecting Target
tab on the pool and chose servers your want to run
the connection pool. If you use pre-6.1 version of
weblogic, you will need to reboot the server after you
    assigned targets to it.

    Hi Murthy,
II have no idea what patch level you are on. A while back we had similar issues with some clients. There are several patches around that area available. Perhaps you should have a look into patch 959732.
    Hope that helps.

  • Connection Pools for DB2 UDB 8.2 on a SUN AS 8.1

    Hi,
has somebody experience or knows a place where I can get more information in setting up a connection pool to a DB2 UDB 8.2 database from a SUN AS 8.1 server?
I'm struggling now for some weeks to get this working, but it doesn't work. I've tried the JDBC JAR's delivered with DB2 but get configuration errors. When I use the JDBC JAR's mentioned in the SUN AS documentation, it seems that the SUN AS 8.1 opens a connection, which is refused on the DB2 side.
The setup of a connection pool to a Postgres DB worked directly. The connection pool is correctly setup in the SUN AS but the ping doesn't work.
    Hope somebody can help.

I think the exception is thrown because the pool was never allocated. So this exception should be okay.
Then comes a lot of reflection stuff (at least in my opinion) and finally there is a try to open the connection. What I don't understand is why there is

But nevertheless I think I will realize your second suggestion and write a java client which opens a datasource. This make take some time (one or two days).
THX a lot for your help.
PS: There is some kind of syntax highlighting error within the exception code. So the rest of the text is also bold. Don't know how to reset that, but I hope it is readable.

  • Error creating accounting document for a credit note

    Hi All,
I am facing an issue while creating an accounting document for the credit note created.
    The scenario is as follows:
Created a credit memo --> created credit note --> create accounting document
While creating accounting document, i'm getting an error message as 'The G/L account XXXXXXXX requires an assignement to CO object'.
Please let me know why i'm getting this error and how to overcome this issue.
    Thanks,
    Anil Kumar

    While creating accounting document,
      i'm getting an error message
First of all, I am not clear on your above statement as in normal circumstances, once you generate a credit memo, in bacground an accounting document will also be generated.
In your case, I believe while saving the credit memo, system throws the error to maintain CO object in which case, do the following:-
Go to TCode KA02 enter the controlling area, give the G/L acoount No and click on Master data tab.  There  select  "Default Acc Assgmnt" tab  and enter Cost centr and save.
Next Go to FS00, input the G/L Account and click on Edit Cost Element on top.  There click on Basic Data and for the field CElem category, maintain the required numeric value.  Now select the tab Default Acct Assgnmt and there maintain the required cost center and save.
    thanks

  • Error creating a requisition for a finished product

    Hello,
I am having the following error message while trying to order a finished product(FERT):
"Material not subj. to inventory mgmt. in plant XXX (Pl. check your input)".
I have maintained the plant/storage location view for that plant.
But I'm still getting the same error.
    Please help.

    Hi Chaka,
This problem will occur if you not copied plant but created plant indivisually. Please check whether value updation and qty updation tick is there for material type.
This will solve your prob 100 %

  • Error creating connection to Oracle Application Server 10g(10.1.3)

    Hey
Im using Oracle JDeveloper 10g and when i tried to create a new connection to Oracle App Server 10.1.3 and test it, I received the following error message
Error while parsing OPMN dump in XML format: XML Parse Exception: tag=[null] Ran out of data, content []
I have no idea what this means and any help on this will be highly appreciated. Thank you
    Arjhun

    OK, in short:
Cause: Wrong OPMN request port used to configure the connection (third step of "Create Application Server Connection" wizard). You might have kept the default (6003) but your OPMN is configured with different request port.
Solution: Check $ORACLE_HOME/opmn/conf/opmn.xml file and look for entry like this:
    <port local="6140" remote="6240" request="6040" />
Create the connection using OPMN request port that is set in opmn.xml file.
    Thanks
