Error Creating Entries in EDISEGMENT Table for Data Src 0MATL_TYPE_TEXT

Hello,
We are facing issues for data sources after doing a client switch in Quality - BW system. 0MATL_TYPE_TEXT is one of the Data Sources which is throwing such an error.  I tried to delete entries from EDISEGMENT table in BW system. But this one being system tables without table maintenance, can't delete the entries for relevant datasources with Basis help (after opening the system for editing) as well. Can you suggest proper steps how we can delete entries from this table?
Also, do we need to delete entries from EDISEGMENT tables in ECC as well for the data source? Is there any other table from which we should be deleting entries also and is there any risk associated with such deletion of table entries in BW/ ECC?
If you have any other way of resolving this issue, please suggest.
Regards,
Dibyendu

Hi,
This is a standard table, so deleting entry from it is not advisable. You can any ways try correcting it.
Check out note 493422. This may help.

Shyam.

    My requirement is i need to check my smartform output for Goods Receipt.IN nast table,i dont have any entries for Goods Receipt.So i need to create entries in NAST table.Please help me to solve this problem.

    Hi!
    Ususally it is not neccessary to create manual entries in NAST.
    You have to print the document from its transaction. Naturally there may be some other settings which are required after setting transaction NACE.
    If you understand the Letter of delivery on the Goods Receipt, which can be printed from VL02N, then you have to set some automation to your printing using transaction VV22.

    Hi,
    it looks like there is missing record in the table AGR_FLAGS. But I do not know why it's not there. You can try to find some relevant OSS note. There are couple of notes related to the table AGR_FLAGS. Check this one 770358. It looks like it describes your problem. Btw this question is more suitable for Security forum and you will have higher chance of getting answer there.

  • Error in flex item, combinations table for this flexfield has more 1 entry

    HI OAF Gurus,
    I setup a flex item with the following attributes:
    ID = CostAllocationKFF
    Item Style = flex
    View Instance = XXPerAsgDetailsVO
    Rendered = true
    Appl Short Name = PAY
    Name = COST
    Type = key
    Segment List = XXPAY_COST_ALLOCATION|Company|Cost Centre
    In my controller, I have the following code in processRequest to bind the KFF against the CostAllocationKFF item:
    String costFlexStrucCode = "XXPAY_COST_ALLOCATION";
    boolean flag1 = false;
    OAKeyFlexBean oacostallockeyflexbean = (OAKeyFlexBean)webBean.findIndexedChildRecursive("CostAllocationKFF");

    oacostallockeyflexbean.useCodeCombinationLOV(flag1);
    oacostallockeyflexbean.setCCIDAttributeName("CostAllocKeyflexId");
    oacostallockeyflexbean.setStructureCode(costFlexStrucCode);
    Now, at processRequest it is picking up the right segment values. However, when I dont update the segments and I hit a button that will eventualy call processFormRequest, it is giving me the following error,
    "The combinations table for this flexfield contains more than one entry that matches the entered values. Inform your system administrator that the combination identified by the number 6419 is duplicated."
    Is there anything that I'm missing? What should I do to refrain from such error happening? I also have a flex item for people group but it is not giving me the same error message. Please advise. Thank you very much.

    can someone help shed light on this? I'm still trying to find out what's causing this issue. Thanks!

    Hi,
    one of the sales document currencies is not maintained properly in the system and therefore its failing.
    you need to correct those documents before filling the set up tables.
    Either you can chose the option fault document toleration limit to 1000...so that 1000 records wrong records can be tolerated or you have to crrect it first before filling up the set up tables.
    This will generally happen in test systems.... but very rare in production...so try to maintain currrency again in the system.
    generally you will see the sales doc number in the error for which its failing.
    May be at the time of filling some óne was working on some sales document and tried it save it.
    correct that doc and fill the set up tables again.
    Thanks
    Ajeet

  • Designing metadataLogging table for data warehouse

    Hi:
    I am in the process of creating metadataLogging tables for dw.
    I have thought 5 tables to track errors and check etl execution.
    Master table for all major jobs. Enviournment - oracle 9i. Dw size not more than 30 mb. to start with.
    CREATE TABLE ADMIN_JOB_MASTER_TBL
    JOBNUMBER NUMBER,
    JOBNAME VARCHAR2(768 BYTE),
    MINTHRESHRECORDS NUMBER,
    MAXTHRESHRECORDS NUMBER,
    MINTHRESHTIME VARCHAR2(64 BYTE),
    MAXTHRESHTIME VARCHAR2(64 BYTE),
    CREATEDATE DATE
    Audit Table for auditing jobs.
    CREATE TABLE ADMIN_AUDIT_JOBS_TBL
    JOBNUMBER NUMBER,
    JOBNAME VARCHAR2(768 BYTE),
    STARTDATE DATE,
    ENDDATE DATE,
    NUMBERRECORDS NUMBER,
    FAIL_OR_SUCCESS VARCHAR2(64 BYTE)
    Step Master: for jobs involving various steps, logic such as branching, loop, flow etc. breaking the job_master to a lower level for a more insight.
    audit_step
    CREATE TABLE ADMIN_AUDIT_STEP_TBL
    RECORDID VARCHAR2(256 BYTE),
    JOBAUDITID VARCHAR2(256 BYTE),
    STEPNUMBER NUMBER,
    PARAMETERS VARCHAR2(512 BYTE),
    NUMBERRECORDS NUMBER,
    STARTDATE DATE,
    ENDDATE DATE,
    USERNAME VARCHAR2(256 BYTE)
    Error_table: to track error during execution.
    CREATE TABLE ERROR_TBL
    ERROR_NO NUMBER,
    TABLE_NAME VARCHAR2(124 BYTE),
    ERR_NUM NUMBER,
    ERR_MSG VARCHAR2(124 BYTE),
    ERROR_TIME DATE
    I am thinking to load the master tables manually with expected values.
    And during each run, loading the auditing tables.
    Error table would ofcourse be loaded during the run.
    So everytime a threshold has changed, I would have to update master table manually. I dont mind doing that initially.
    Would the following tables and the stated appraoch be good for etl.
    Please guys, let me know your thoughts. Suggest changes or tables or approach, if you feel, that its wrong.
    Thanks in advance. All inputs are highly appreciated !!!
    Regards
    Som

    Hi,
    What better than Oracle suggests...is there ????
    Have you read Oracle doc titled...
    "Data Warehousing Guide" and the "Handling Data Errors with an Error Logging Table " section for example...

  • Error Creating View on External Table

    I create my oracle directory connected as SYS as SYSDBA and grant read,write to public:
    CREATE OR REPLACE DIRECTORY ER_ADMIN_DIR AS 'C:\win32app\ingr\ER\ER_Init\scripts';
    grant read,write on directory ER_ADMIN_DIR to public;
    I creat my external table from SYS to reside in another schema called DRTEST:
    CREATE TABLE DRTEST.SPEC_REQUIRED (TABLE_NAME VARCHAR2(100), COLUMN_NAME VARCHAR2(100))
    ORGANIZATION EXTERNAL (TYPE ORACLE_LOADER DEFAULT DIRECTORY ER_ADMIN_DIR
    ACCESS PARAMETERS
    (RECORDS DELIMITED BY NEWLINE
    FIELDS TERMINATED BY ','
    MISSING FIELD VALUES ARE NULL
    LOCATION ('atts_in_red.tx')
    REJECT LIMIT UNLIMITED ;
    I can select from the table and all is good at this point.
    However, I get an error when I try to create a view (in DRTEST from SYS) based on the external table.
    CREATE VIEW DRTEST.MYVIEW1 AS SELECT * FROM DRTEST.SPEC_REQUIRED;
    CREATE VIEW DRTEST.MYVIEW1 AS SELECT * FROM DRTEST.SPEC_REQUIRED
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-06564: object ER_ADMIN_DIR does not exist
    (note I'm still connected as SYS as SYSDBA here)
    I can create the view if I connect to DRTEST and run the exact same create view statement there. Is there something in Oracle that prevents me from doing this from the SYS account? I usually think of SYS as having the "Power of God to do all things".
    I have to create the external table and view on several schema's and I don't want the user to have to connect to each schema separately.
    Tina

    Tina,
    I think you are facing bug 2948123 (CREATE VIEW ON EXTERNAL TABLE ORA-6564). The workaround is to connect (in your case) as user DRTEST and then perform the CREATE VIEW statement (you tested this already). Or (according to the bug description) create the view under the SYS schema itself.

  • Table for Data source and Transfer rule mapping

    Hi all,
    Do we have any table where in we can know the different transfer rules(for different source systems) assigned to the same Data source.
    thanks and regards,
    Rk.

    thank you all,
    the table RSDS does not have 3.x data sources, it has only 7.0 Data sources also it does not have the field mapping.
    RSOSFIELDMAP and RSTSRULES have the field mapping of the datasources, do we have any similiar tables for 7.0 Datasources.

  • Creating Partitions in Existing tables with Data

    Hello everyone,
    I want to know what the best way of creating partitions, in tables having data, is .. ???
    thanks
    Rossy Rocs

    There are two ways :
    1a Create a new Partitioned Table
    1b Copy data from the existing table to the new table
    1c Create Indexes
    1d Rename old table
    1e Rename new table
    OR
    2 Use DBMS_REDEFINITION
