Error creating files. Compilation failed... when publishing iOS app with AIR 3.1 and Flash 11.5.1

Hello, I'm running Windows 7. I'm using Flash 11.5.1 (that's CS5.5 updated once) and AIR 3.1 to make an iPhone app.
I can export the app perfectly fine with either Ctrl+Enter or F12.
I added all the required things with AIR for iOS settings, such as a p12 certificate and icon files.
I then hit publish. After I hit publish, I got this error:
Error creating files.
Compilation failed...
I tried dragging the window to see if there was anything hidden behind the elipses. What can I do to fix this problem?

note sure if I'm much help other than to CONFIRM it is working for me by using the sdk WITHOUT the compiler. Check out adobe's little note: "Note : Flex users will need to download the original AIR SDK without the new compiler."
I am using FB 4.7 with AIR 3.6 and seems to compile correctly for iOS.
Maybe try reinstalling flash builder?
I honestly don't know if the JRE has anything to do with it... I'm using 1.7 ....to see what JRE you're using, open the Java Control Panel (I right click my java orange icon and hit properties), select the Java tab, then hit "View..."

I am using platypusgame.zip downloaded from http://www.adobe.com/devnet/createjs/articles/getting-started.html. I did not changed anything. Default settings. SWF file is publishing with no errors. Flash CS6 on Macbook OS X 10.7.4. No preview in Safari.
What may cause this error?
Upd: The same error when I publish it with Toolkit for CreateJS using Flash CS6 on PC Windows7. Here, despite on this error, I can see preview in Google Chrome.
Am I the only one who gets this error in Output panel?

So, after 2 months of conversations with Adobe Technical Support, and getting from their folk some contradictory answers (here is some examples: "This is not an Adobe's issue, this is CreateJS's issue, so ask about that on their forum", to "Yes, this is a bug and it was fixed but we won't tell you in what version it was fixed", "No, this bug has never been registered yet in our bug database, we will registere it for you", "Here is the bug number ... , you can track it in Adobe database via this link...", "No, you cannot track it via that link, because this bug is registered in our local bug database, you have not access to it" etc.), I got the "final" answer that basically contained 2 part: 1) You cannot use audio in your project (i.e. createJS Toolkit won't convert it), this is a feature, not a bug 2) so, the" Error" message should actually reads as an "Warning" message, that audio won't be converted.
I am pretty sure that if I talked to another Adobe guy next time, I would probably get yet another answer, but I won't. You may, if you want. Be prepare though for the following: 1) you will have to wait at least 30 min when a next representative is free (do not be fooled with their "peace of mind" offer - they never called back in that period of time that they promise) 2) the 1-st level representatives sounds like have no clue what is what and how it works 3) you cannot call the next level representative even if they leave you there number and extention and tell you to call them directly - the first level representative just won't connect you to that extention 4) they may ask you what is the better day and time to call you back - they never called at that day/time 5) they may call you at 7 am because of different time zone 5) they will give you contradictory answers 6) every time you call them, you will have to explaine everything from very beginning, and after every newpeace of information (new to this particular representative, even if that was descussed several time with another representatives) , they will put you on hold for 10-15 minutes to discusse it with someone else 6) every more advanced level representative will want to share your screen and see the problem "with their own eyes"; does not matter that you provided your file with your case, they won't bother to try it on their end until you insist that to do that. And even they did and admited they had the same issue, the next persdon to whome you will talk next time will want to share you screen "to see it with their own eyes"!!!
So, if you are ready for that - go ahead

Publish iOS app with Flash CS6?

Hi,
Is it possible to publish an iOS with the new icons sizes (120px..) with Flash CS6?
Flash removes the new icon sizes from the app.xml every time I publish my app.
Is it possible to prevent this?
I tried to set the app.xml to read-only but then the app will not publish.

I was getting this intermittently. Not a super problem. A remove and install in iTunes gets it loaded (after you tell ITunes where it is).

In WSDL at "file:/C:/JDeveloper/jdev/mywork/CICWorkSpace/CICBPEL/bpel/CICBPEL.wsdl", message part element "{http://xmlns.oracle.com/orchestration}confirmationMessage" is not defined in any of the schemas.
Please make sure the spelling of the element QName is correct and the WSDL import is complete.." [Potential fix]: n/a.

Publishing air desktop app error creating files

Hello I am using flash cc pro to try and publish my flash document as a windows desktop app. I keep running into an error
Error creating files. The AIR version set in Publish Settings of the initial content SWF exceeds that allowed for the descriptor namespace.

It's difficult to tell solely by the messages. One there seems to be a problem finding a base class. One thing that I notice is that the package seems to contain 'book' with a lower case 'b' as in:
EJB name: BookBean.EJB under LibraryEJBProject\book
Whereas all the error messages are saying that they are having trouble finding something with a package name like 'Book' with a capital 'B'.
Perhaps that is the problem, the package has to be consistently 'book' or 'Book' and can't be both.

Linux - Oracle - Crystal Report Server XI : Error in File Report1: Failed to load database information.

I am using Crystal Reports Server XI on Linux Server with Oracle Server 10g.
I did install Oracle Client on Report Server and config Oracle SID in tnsnames.ora also. It works well with tnsping command. Then, I published a report which was created in Crystal Reports developer on this server.
When I preview the report on Report Server. I got the following error message:
Error in File Report1: Failed to load database information.
Try to fix the problem I ran web Central Management Console -> Objects ->Report1->Process -> Database and set there the following parameters:
Database driver: Oracle
Server: servers_host_name
Database: (tried both ORACLE_SID and tns_name)
User: oracle_user_name
Password: oracle_pw
It still got the same problem.

I was having a similar problem in Crystal Reports Server 2008 v1, and had to install the full client to resolve it, which I didn't like. I poked around some, and was able to get the Instant Client working with a few minor changes. Note that I tried it only with the 32-bit Instant Client even though I was on a 64-bit system because that was what SAP recommended when I talked to them.
The changes I had to do was initialize the Oracle environment variables (the instant client doesn't have a script to do this for you) and to create a soft-link which is included in the full client, but not in the instant client.
To setup the environment variables I created a file called env.sh and put it in /opt/crystal/bobje/setup/oracle/, where /opt/crystal was my install path. This ensured that it got called by the /opt/crystal/bobje/setup/env.sh script which runs as part of the System init scripts to initialize the environment. The following is what I put in my file (again for the 32-bit 11g R2 instant client):
     export ORACLE_SID=summitdb
     export ORACLE_HOME='/usr/lib/oracle/11.2/client'
     export ORACLE_BASE='/usr/lib/oracle/'
     export TNS_ADMIN='/usr/lib/oracle/11.2/client/network/admin'
     export PATH="$:/usr/lib/oracle/11.2/client/bin"
     export LD_LIBRARY_PATH="$$/usr/lib/oracle/11.2/client/lib"
After that, I created the missing soft link using this command:
     ln -s "$/lib/libclntsh.so.11.1" "$/lib/libclntsh.so.10.1"
Once I had done those two things, and restarted the service using the /etc/init.d script, it worked fine.

Why do I get "Publish Failed" when I select F4V with fixed frame rate?

I have created several projects from scratch in Captivate 5. My publishing functionality seems to be increasingly impaired. I have rebooted and uninstalled + reinstalled Captivate 5.
In the beginning I got this message when I was publishing a specific project with the media option F4V with fixed frame rate, but now I am getting it on all my projects regardless of my publishing selections.
I am running on Windows 7, and I think it is Windows that is suggesting that I 'debug' the program. Clicking 'Debug' takes me to a dialog box where I can choose between Visual Studio 2005 or Visual Studio 2008, none of which seem to be a good solution.

Thank you for your reply - over the past few days I have been able to
narrow the problem down a little more.
When working with Captivate 5, I am able to work with and open any
published file until I turn that file into a Zip file. Upon unZipping,
the file becomes unusable by my computer and by my LMS (Cornerstone).
I am using Adobe Flash Professional CS5 and I am able to run any SWF file
on my machine if the file has never been zipped. I am using Captivate 5
in administrator mode. Somehow, the zip process is making the files
unusable, and my LMS requires that files be zipped before they can be
uploaded.

TFTP 'configuration update' from 5508 WLC fails stating reason as '%Error: Config file transfer failed – Unknown error –refer to log'

Dear Experts,
I have two WLCs and other management devices as part of same subnet. I am able to upload ‘configs’ from all the devices on to my TFTP server. However when I am attempting to do the same from one of my WLC, it is failing consistently stating error message as:
‘%Error: Config file transfer failed – Unknown error –refer to log
Has anyone else too faced the same issue and how would we overcome this? Any specific debug that could help get more details on it?
Though the error message says, refer to log but still I don’t see anything that gets reflected in ‘Monitor logs’ which is related to ‘configuration file’ upload failure.
WLC code: 7.4.100.0

Just a soft reboot helped me solved the problem :). Still I am on 7.4 and facing no issues after this.
Apologies for coming too late to respond. Getting a down time window was not that easy and so was much delayed to try soft reload. I am still on 7.4 and facing no issue.
Glad that in your case it starting working all of a sudden. Could you please verify from 'show tech-support' to confirm if by chance your WLC had undergone any crash that could have caused the WLC to reload and thus accidently fixing the issue :)

Error opening file for writing when installing

I cannot install Flash on my Vista X64. I have tried running
the downloadable install and the online install. Any time I try to
run the install I get "error opening file for writing" when trying
to write C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash\Flash9d.ocx.
I have uninstalled Fash first (it never worked anyway) and I
have rebooted. I even tried rebooting in Safe Mode but no matter
what I try, I cannot remove the existing Flash9d.ocx and installing
will not overwrite the existing file.
Even after uninstalling Flash and rebooting to safe mode,
Windows reports that flash9d.ocx is in use. So why is the file in
use after uninstalling?
Any help is appreciated.

Well, I finally figured out the problem with mine today. Of
course, I'd still like to know what nefarious purpose might be
involved with the Flash activeX file being loaded in memory even
after uninstall and reboot such that it cannot be removed from my
PC even in Safe Mode.
At least I got Flash working. I discovered that Flash was
disabled in IE.
In IE, go to Tools->Options->Programs and then Manage
Add-Ons. In my case, the ShockWave Flash Object was set to
disabled. I changed it to Enabled and I was able to install and use
Flash properly. Now I am just not sure I want to.
With the questionable practices of using the ActiveX control
even after uninstall, and making the file un-removable, along with
the extremely (in my opinion) dishonest practice of installing
Google Toolbar with Flash, I am hoping that Microsoft's Silverlight
puts Flash out of the market - and I'm no huge fan of Microsoft
either. With the new practices from Adobe, they are, in my opinion,
no better than any other spyware and malware purveyor on the market
- right up there with Napster and the dozens of follow-on products
that tricked users into installing unwanted software.

If all of your credentials are correct, Server Name/IP Address, Username, Password, Root Directory and it's still not connecting, I would try toggling the Passive FTP checkbox.
If you still can't connect in DW, try downloading a third party FTP program like Filezilla (free) and uploading there. If the third party app doesn't work either, there is likely a problem with your credentials and you would need to contact your hosting provider to straighten it out.

Native iOS app with MAF logon components: Linking fails

I try to compile a SDK 3.0 project with MAF logon components.
I followed this tutorial and finally got a running iOS app with the dependencies for the SDK: Getting started with SMP3 Native OData iOS apps
Now I would like to add MAF logon component usage. The Sybase guide describes this under Developing with MAF Logon. I copied the basic initialization steps from there to my project.
However, although I have all the required headers, the linker fails trying to find the implementation for MAFLogonUIViewManager.h
I guess I did not add a dependency properly. In which of the files/bundles added should this component be?

I am having a similar issue. I am following the same instructions. At the point where I create the LogonHandler, the file MAFLogonManagerNG.h is not found by Xcode. This file does not seem to be present in the SDK either. When I comment it out, the MAFLogonUIViewManager is not recognized.
Have you been able to resolve your issue?

First disable autoplay. It gave errors for me. Try to make the movie play with the play() command.
to embed the movie in your air bundle, just go to publish settings for your flash project. Then in that screen go to the player settings.
In the first GENERAL tab you'll see a the bottom that you can add files to your project
Propably there is allready your .swf and an .xml file in there.
Using the + icon you can add your video.
Make sure that your video is in the same directory as your . FLA file and you can use it as is (by name)
If for example your flashfile is in c:\mytest\mytest.fla and the video in c:\mytest\videos\myvideo.flv , then you will have to load your video as "videos/myvideo.flv" with a FORWARD slash, never use \
