Error Creating Snapshot
While trying to create a snapshot of any of my VM's I am getting an error.
Environment:
Windows 2012 R2 Cluster
Running System Center VMM 2012 R2
Clustered Shared Drives
Any idea what this "No such interface supported (0x80004002)" means or how I fix this?

Resolve the host issue and then try the operation again.

Hi Vincent ,
icacls "C:\Users\Public\Documents\Hyper-V\Virtual Hard Disks\MountPointHere" /grant "NT VIRTUAL MACHINE\Virtual Machines":F /T
The "/T" switch will propogate permissions to files/sub-directories under the root of that volume.

Hi,
I use the following script to create snapshot for my table everyday.
CREATE MATERIALIZED VIEW item20060830
NOCACHE NOPARALLEL BUILD IMMEDIATE
USING INDEX
NEVER REFRESH
AS SELECT
FROM
item;
However, these few days, it fails to do so and gives me the following
error whenever I run it.
ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [kcbgtcr_12], [1], [], [],
Can someone advise what could be the possible reason?

According to Jan Kara:
It seems like you are hitting the warning:
WARN_ON(sb->s_writers.frozen == SB_FREEZE_COMPLETE);
which means that writing to a named pipe is modifying timestamp of a file while filesystem is frozen. This is not harming the fs such but the fs snapshot you are presumably taking may be slightly inconsistent.
I see the process which is writing to the named pipe is "postfix". Had anyone else seen this behavure before and meaby have a solution for it?kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git - Linux kernel source treehttp://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/commit/?id=7e775f46a125f894a1d71e96797c776dbec161f0has it fixed.

Import error with snapshot logs
I have an export that is a full from our production database. I'm trying to import a small subset of tables from a user to a different user. One of the tables has a snapshot log against it I believe due to the error msg in the import file. I don't care about the snapshot log I just want to get the table imported. How can I tell import to avoid the snapshot log. If this is not possible, how do I figure out what table it's says can't be found to import into.

Symptoms
You have created a snapshot log:
SQL> connect system/manager
SQL> grant create snapshot to scott;
SQL> connect scott/tiger
SQL> create snapshot my_snap as select * from emp;
SQL> create snapshot log on scott.emp;
You run a user level export:
% exp system/manager file=exp_s.dmp log=exp_s.log owner=scott
Export: Release 9.2.0.6.0 - Production on Tue Dec 28 08:06:12 2004
Copyright (c) 1982, 2002, Oracle Corporation. All rights reserved.
Connected to: Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.6.0 - Production
Export terminated successfully without warnings.
You run a user level import, e.g. in a different database:
SQL> connect system/manager
SQL> create user hugo identified by hugo default tablespace
users temporary tablespace temp
quota unlimited on users;
SQL> grant create session, create table, create snapshot
to hugo;
% imp system/manager file=exp_s.dmp log=imp_s.log fromuser=scott touser=hugo

Also note that the same errors occur when the export was done with a table level export.
If the user SCOTT (FROMUSER) does not exist in the target database, import aborts with:

Changes
The information in this article applies to:
- Oracle Server - Enterprise Edition - Version: 8.1.7.0 to 11.2.0.x
- Oracle Server - Personal Edition - Version: 8.1.7.0 to 11.2.0.x
- Oracle Server - Standard Edition - Version: 8.1.7.0 to 11.2.0.x
This problem can occur on any platform.
Cause
Snapshots, snapshot logs, and related items are exported with the schema name explicitly given in the DDL statements, therefore, snapshots and their related items cannot be imported into a different schema.
If you attempt to use FROMUSER and TOUSER to import snapshot data, an error will be written to the Import log file and the items will not be imported.
Solution
It is expected behavior that the snapshot log cannot be imported with a FROMUSER and TOUSER import. Therefore the errors should either be prevented from happening, or be ignored:
1. Either delete the snapshot logs before the export takes place. Then run the export and import. After import completes, re-create the snapshot logs manually, and if necessary, perform a refresh of the snapshot.
2. Or ensure that the FROMUSER (SCOTT in this example) exists in the target database, so the import session does not abort with the IMP-0 error (Import terminated unsuccessfully). During the import, ignore the errors that are related to the snapshot logs. After import completes, re-create the snapshot logs manually, and if necessary, perform a refresh of the snapshot. -

ThanksLooks like you might have a spelling error in your spring config, or are trying to set a read-only property. BdasInterfaceManagerImpl has been configured as having a method called setBdasInterfaceJdbcDao() : does it?
By the way, we now know that you're writing code for JP Morgan - there's a slight risk that this could bite you in the @ss at some point (there are some malicious people around) you might want to take that into consideration next time! -

In addition to the above, try taking the rollback segment offline by executing
alter rollback segment SYS_RBS offline;
and then drop it by running
drop rollback segment SYS_RBS;
Then create new one and see if it works.
if the above mentioned doesn't work somehow...
try to change the extents storage parameter by running
alter rollback segment sys_rbs storage (MAXEXTENTS 1000);
Can't be sure as i currently don't have access to my system
Hope this helps

MohammadiCREATE SNAPSHOT command
PURPOSE:
To create a snapshot. A snapshot is a table that contains the
results of a query of one or more tables or views, often located on
a remote database.
SYNTAX:
CREATE SNAPSHOT [schema.]snapshot
[ [PCTFREE integer] [PCTUSED integer]
[INITRANS integer] [MAXTRANS integer]
[TABLESPACE tablespace]
[STORAGE storage_clause]
[ USING INDEX [ PCTFREE integer | TABLESPACE tablespace
| INITTRANS integer | MAXTRANS integer
| STORAGE storage_clause ] ...
| [CLUSTER cluster (column [, column]...)] ]
[ REFRESH [FAST | COMPLETE | FORCE] [START WITH date] [NEXT date]]
AS subquery
where:
schema
is the schema to contain the snapshot. If you omit schema, Oracle
creates the snapshot in your schema.
snapshot
is the name of the snapshot to be created.
Oracle chooses names for the table, views, and index used to
maintain the snapshot by prefixing the snapshot name. To limit
these names to 30 bytes and allow them to contain the entire
snapshot name, Oracle Corporation recommends that you limit your
snapshot names to 23 bytes.
PCTFREE
PCTUSED
INITRANS
MAXTRANS
establishes values for these parameters for the internal table
Oracle uses to maintain the snapshot's data.
TABLESPACE
specifies the tablespace in which the snapshot is to be created. If
you omit this option, Oracle creates the snapshot in the default
tablespace of the owner of the snapshot's schema.
STORAGE
establishes storage characteristics for the table Oracle uses to
maintain the snapshot's data.
USING INDEX
specifies the storage characteristics for the index on a simple
snapshot. If the USING INDEX clause not specified, the index is
create with the same tablespace and storage parameters as the
snapshot.
CLUSTER
creates the snapshot as part of the specified cluster. Since a
clustered snapshot uses the cluster's space allocation, do not use
the PCTFREE, PCTUSED, INITRANS, or MAXTRANS parameters, the
TABLESPACE option, or the STORAGE clause in conjunction with the
CLUSTER option.
REFRESH
specifies how and when Oracle automatically refreshes the snapshot:
FAST
specifies a fast refresh, or a refresh using only the
updated data stored in the snapshot log associated
with the master table.
COMPLETE
specifies a complete refresh, or a refresh that re-
executes the snapshot's query.
FORCE
specifies a fast refresh if one is possible or
complete refresh if a fast refresh is not possible.
Oracle decides whether a fast refresh is possible at
refresh time.
If you omit the FAST, COMPLETE, and FORCE options,
Oracle uses FORCE by default.
START WITH
specifies a date expression for the first automatic
refresh time.
NEXT
specifies a date expression for calculating the
interval between automatic refreshes.
Both the START WITH and NEXT values must evaluate to a time in the
future. If you omit the START WITH value, Oracle determines the
first automatic refresh time by evaluating the NEXT expression when
you create the snapshot. If you specify a START WITH value but omit
the NEXT value, Oracle refreshes the snapshot only once. If you
omit both the START WITH and NEXT values or if you omit the REFRESH
clause entirely, Oracle does not automatically refresh the snapshot.
AS subquery
specifies the snapshot query. When you create the snapshot, Oracle
executes this query and places the results in the snapshot. The
select list can contain up to 253 expressions. A snapshot query is
subject to the same restrictions as a view query.
PREREQUISITES:
To create a snapshot in your own schema, you must have CREATE
SNAPSHOT system privilege. To create a snapshot in another user's
schema, you must have CREATE ANY SNAPSHOT system privilege.
Before a snapshot can be created, the user SYS must run the SQL
script DBMSSNAP.SQL on both the database to contain the snapshot and
the database(s) containing the tables and views of the snapshot's
query. This script creates the package SNAPSHOT which contains both
public and private stored procedures used for refreshing the
snapshot and purging the snapshot log. The exact name and location
of this script may vary depending on your operating system.
When you create a snapshot, Oracle creates a table, two views, and
an index in the schema of the snapshot. Oracle uses these objects
to maintain the snapshot's data. You must have the privileges
necessary to create these objects. For information on these
privileges, see the CREATE TABLE, CREATE VIEW, and CREATE INDEX
commands.
The owner of the schema containing the snapshot must have either
space quota on the tablespace to contain the snapshot or UNLIMITED
TABLESPACE system privilege. Also, both you (the creator) and the
owner must also have the privileges necessary to issue the
snapshot's query.
To create a snapshot, you must be using Oracle with the procedural
option. To create a snapshot on a remote table or view, you must
also be using the distributed option. -

I've dropped the catalog and re-created it and continue to encounter this issue.
File '/u02/oradata/RMAN/snap_proactive.f' does not exist though the directory exist and is writable.
No luck with Metalink.
Appreciate recommendations on resolving this issue. ThanksFrom RMAN Server (dgrac.respecti.inc)

Hi,
Just ran the wizard for Anyconnect SSL VPN, created a tunnel group, a vpn pool and added user to it. When trying to logon on the SSL service, it simply says "login failed". I suspect that the user might not be in correct groups or so?

Let me know if somebody has an idea of this .This is because of space character is jdev location i.e C:/jdev latest sanity/. Change the location of jdev to another directory which doesn't contain spaces and try again.

Work Order Issue - Error Creating Goods Delivery,Goods Issue or GRPO
We use SAP Business One 2007 A PL:08. We have an add-on for the work orders and While putting the work order from released to completion, a user is getting an error message that says:
"Error Creating Delivery,Goods Issue or Goods receipt PO- Error Issuing Delivery Note -Item no. is missing [DLN1.Itemcode][Line:3]"
I do not see any item missing in the work order and all the posting periods are open. I have checked all possible settings!!
Any idea what this could be?
ThanksHi,
Is it your add-on or a 3rd party add-on?
Thanks,
Gordon -

Our XML Publisher TMP is not defined, so it uses the APPLTMP used by concurrent manager. There is a folder xdofonts/<SID> in $APPLTMP. It contains the fonts used by XML publisher and on the of font file (.ttf) was 0 byte. We copied the ttf file from QA. And it started working.
Best practice is to define diffent TMP for concurrent managers and XML Publisher.

I have a problem while installing 9iAS R2 on RH LInux 8.
When database configuration assistant starts during the installation of 9iAS infrastructure, it gives an error "Error creating CONTROL FILE" followed by many other errors.
Please help me out.
ZulqarnainI had the same problem, but with RH9
To fix, I ran orapwd from the $ORACLE_HOME/bin directory to create a password file called orapw. Then I moved this file to the directory where the configuration assistant complains it cannot find the file. Fixed. Obviously, just ignore the errors from the configuration assistant about the CONTROL FILE until it tells you the location of the file it is looking for. -
