Error draging data page component on strut flow diagram

i m using Jdeveloper10g(9.0.5.2) on windows 2000
creating web application using strut+ADF+JSP technology stack encounter following error, i tryed multiple restart to IDE but still have same situation.
Message
BME-99003: An error occurred, so processing could not continue.

The application has tried to de-reference an invalid pointer. This exception should have been dealt with programatically. The current activity may fail and the system may have been left in an unstable state. The following is a stack trace.
Action
If further errors occur, you should restart the application.

CANNOT QUERY SAME DETAIL RECORD IN SECOND DATA PAGE

Hello,
We created a Master-->DetailOne-->DetailTwo Business Component Diagram. Added two Data Pages (UIX) to Struts Config diagram. First data page contains Master-->DetailOne (One-To-Many) view from Data Control Palette, and the second data page has DetailOne-->DetailTwo (One-To_Many).
Our intent is for user to pick a DetailOne record from first page and click a link button to load the second data page with same DetailOne record and any DetailTwo records available underneath. Tried adding a DataAction component to the diagram and dragged several Data Control Operations to it. However our second data page does not load the same DetailOne record as the first one. We also tried data linking first page to second. The second datapage does not display the record selected on first data page when clicking on the link button. Uploading screen shots to clarify issue. Please advise if you need

It's been 5-6 months since I've created a Master/Detail APEX application, but I don't remember having to create any special trigger or anything. I created a few maintenance appls over tables I created, and created an inquiry appl using Oracle vendor tables. All of them have worked nicely.
If the PK/FK's are set up correctly it just works. :-) Like magic. If I recall correctly, as you create the appl you define the the key fields to use. If the tables are defined correctly, and you 'tie' them together using the correct key fields in the application everything should work nicely.

Struts-config diagram

JDev 9.0.5.2 ADF UIX Struts
Is there a limit to the number of Action Mappings that the struts-config diagrammer can handle? I have just recently started experiencing problems with my config file. For example:
I can no longer right click on a data page in my diagrammer and go to code nor can I do this in the struts structure view. I can associate an existing DataForwardAction file to a data page through the struts-config editor.
If I create a DataForwardAction file and associate it to a data page and create an onEvent method, the method may or may not work.

I have approximately 80 items on my struts-config diagrammer and I have 36 action classes that extend the DataFowardAction.

2) If I create a DataForwardAction file and associate it to a data page and create an onEvent method, the method may or may not work - My co-worker is experiencing the same issue but she has approximately 24 items on her struts-config so my assumption is that it is not caused by the amount of items on the struts-config. However, is there a limit we should not exceed?
I have not tried this on 10.1.2 and I am not upgrading my application to this new version.

ODI 11g Interface flow diagram issues

hi, guys, Happy new year!
I met a problem when I built an interface. When I config the flow setup things, the flow tab diagram shows well and I can finish the configuration. However, after I closed the inteface bulild window and opened it again after around 2 hours, an error alert popped up and then the flow diagram truned grey. Could anyone know how to fix it? btw, the interface still can work. Thanks a lot.

hi, dev, Thanks a lot, I know there's something wrong, but when the time I just finished the interface, it still can be opened, but after a few hours, the flow diagram turned to be grey without anything change, and the interface still can work, so this drive me mad?

Struts Page Flow Diagram

I am using JDeveloper 10.1.2. When I drag and drop a component onto the Struts Page Flow diagram, nothing is placed on the diagram. I've checked the thumbnail and there are no components on it. I followed some instructions I found in a previous post (Re: Struts Page Flow Diagram ( In Reply To : Struts Page Flow Diagram ) Oct 13, 2004 11:48 AM

Weird -
First of all just check the shape has not been created "off-screen" by using the Thumbnail view.
If not can you do a refresh diagram from the context menu? (Diagram -> Refresh diagram from Struts config).
If that does not work then exit Jdev, navigate to the ViewController project on disk and delete the /model/StrutsPageFlow.oxd_struts file.
The when you next open the struts-config.xml the diagram will be re-generated.
I've pasted in your config and a diagram was generated ok.) and still the drag and drop is not placing the component on the page flow diagram. One thing that I have noticed -- there is NO CODE in the source file for the struts-config.xml file. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong? Thanks!

More info: I can place a page component on my page flow diagram but I cannot place any other components. They won't display. Placing the page component on the diagram does not put code into the source file. Also, I get the following compile error: Error(1,1):<Line 1, Column 1>:XML-20108:(Fatal Error) Start of root element expected.

Error on Data Flow Task MSSQL 2012 Clustered "Description: The version of Lookup is not compatible with this version of the DataFlow. "

We have an SSIS package that runs on clustered MSSQL 2012 Enterprise Nodes that is failing. We use a job to executer the package.
Environmental information:
Product - Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise: Core-based Licensing (64-bit)
Operating System - Microsoft Windows NT 6.1 (7601)
Patform - NT x64
Version - MSSQL Version 11.0.3349.0
Package is set to 32 -bit. All permissions verified. Runs in lower environments, same MSSQL version. All environments are clustered. In the failing environment, all nodes are at the same service pack. I have not verified if all
nodes in the failing environment have SSIS installed. Data access is installed. We have other simpler packages that run in this environment, just not this one. Time to ask the community for help!

According to your description, the error occurs when you execute the package with Agent job on clustered MSSQL 2012 Enterprise Nodes.
As per my understanding, I think this issue can be caused by you use SQL Server Agent to schedule a SQL Server Integration Services package in a 64-bit environment. And the SSIS package is referencing some 32-Bit DLL or 32-Bit drivers which are available
only in 32-bit versions, so the job failed.
To fix this issue, we should use the 32-bit version of the DTExec.exe utility to schedule the 64-bit SQL Server Agent to run a package. To run a package in 32-bit mode from a 64-bit version of SQL Server Agent, we can go to the Job Step dialog box, then
select “32 bit runtime” in the Advanced tab.
Besides, we should make sure that SQL Server Integration Services is installed on the failing environment.

BUG? Data Action on Struts changing to Data page when i reload Jdev????

Hi All,
i'm using jdev 10.1.2, adf bc's, struts, jsp's.
I have a data action on my struts page which is bound to a method in the app module. I created a class for this data action which overrides the initialMethodParameters() method and gets the arguments for the method in the app module.
it all works perfectly fine, until i come into work the next day, load up JDev and the data action has now turned into a data page. if i dbl click on it i get the create page dialog, instead of the data action class. obviously when i try run this data action, i get cannot display this page error.
I'm assuming/hoping that this is a bug. can anyone shed any light??

Based on my research, I can reproduce the issue in my environment. The issue is caused by the CodePage of Input Columns "Product Desc", "Brand Desc" and "Seg Desc" are 65001, while the corresponding Destination Columns are 1252.
The Input Columns use more than one code page than the Destination Columns, so the error occurs.
To fix this issue, we can use a Derived Column Transformation to add three derived columns to convert the code page of the three columns. For more details, please see:
Drag a Derived Column Transformation before the OLE DB Destination and connect to it.
Add three Derived Columns with the same format like below:
Derived Column Name: Derived Column 1
Derived Column: <add as new column>
Expression: (DT_STR,50,1252)[Product Desc]
Double-click the OLE DB Destination, then select the “Derived Column 1” column from Input Column to make it map to the corresponding Destination Column which the original column “Product Desc” maps.
Use the same method for other two columns.

Several Issue: Stale Data Error with 2 pages opened at same time

Hello Gurus,
I developed an OAF page to create and also update records. My page, depending from the operation, can show the data on fields, for update, or blank, on case to create records. This page contains one LOV field, input fields and textarea field to get the data.
When i try record or update using one page per time, the LOV field works fine and records are uptodated with success.
But if i use 2 pages or more in these situations:
- one page is opened in update operation;
- another page to create a new record.
Issue: When i click to change the LOV field value on create page, or update page, the Lov pop-up is opened with success, but when i click in another value, i get this error below. Any action also can cause this error, like click on Back Button (with name 'Voltar', created by me). Please see the error below:

This error could have been caused through the use of the browser's navigation*
buttons (the browser Back button, for example).*
Cause:*
The view object XXXAM.XXXVO1 contained no record.*
The displayed records may have been deleted, or the current record for the view*

This error hapens when i open 2 pages on update operation mode also.
This error dont hapens only when i open 2 pages on create operation mode.
Ps:
Note: I have an ApplicationModule (AM) for LOV and another AM for this page, but i used this other AM to another page too and VOs. Have any problem on this???

Hi,
Can you please tell, if you are using the same EO/VO combination for both the operation - Insert and Update on both screens.
Quite possible, that when you open two screen in say Update Mode and you open the two List Of Values, then as soon as you have selected the value in one of the LOV, the Other LOV will throw you stale data as the same VO/EO is being used.
Try using two different EOs/VOs combination and see if that helps.

Stale Data Error - iProcurement Receiving Page

Hi,
I created a button on the Standard iProc Receving Page result table region. When user hit on button it popup window using javascript:window.open(<Page info & Properties>). I am using popwindow to capture some details, and saving into database. But when i am closing and coming back to my main page(Recieiving Page) and navigating to next page it is giving me the Stale Data Error.
Interstingly this error does not come when the search is done using reqeustor or if i dont click on button for popup window. All other cases gives me this error. One info about this page is the VO which is showing in error should not execute all the time. There are lot of VO's which execute based on search fields entered. The VO belowi s one of them when reqeustor info is given in search fields.
Error: Stale Data
The requested page contains stale data. This error could have been caused through the use of the browser's navigation buttons (the browser Back button, for example).
Cause:
The number of displayed records, 25, exceeds the actual number of records, 0, in view object ReceiveItemsAM.ReceiveMyItemsVO. Some of the displayed records may have been deleted.

Generally Oracle provide a global variable hr_general.g_data_migrator_mode and passing this as 'Y' should update who columns and object version number. But I am not sure it is available for vacancy APIs or not. I remember a similar kind of bug logged long time back.

Error in code page mapping for Source system whil loading the data from ECC

HI Gurus,
I am working in a implementation project, Recently our BI sand box is up, when i am doing my load from 0comp_code_attr it is throwing an error "Error in code page mapping for source system"(This is my first load from ECC).
In details tab it is showing as the data is sent from the source system but the data is not reaching to the PSA.
Please let me know if there are any settings needs to be made.

Thanks for your quick response. I did it but it didn't resolve the issue. since the system id which i am having is 3 digits(LEC) but there it is taking only 2 digits, so i clicked on the button called Propose system ids, it has praposed LE, but the issue is stil there.

Struts-config.xml page flow diagram

I am using JDeveloper 10.1.2.17.84 version. When I double click on the struts-config.xml file of my application it does not have a tab for the page flow diagram. What's wrong? How can I correct this?

"Struts diagram support has to be enabled or disabled at the extension level, this means that when JDeveloper is running with the support disabled, all Struts configurations in the IDE will be shown without diagrams."

BUG: struts page flow diagram

This is nice!
A lot of work has been done in struts-config.xml, many data pages, data actions and forwards. Then I closed and opened the project. When I opened the diagram, forwards were messed-up. Hours of work are wasted (well functionality is still there..)
Someone should go to jail for this.
Frustrated developer.

If you're using CVS from with JDeveloper then this may explain the problem. There is potential for the diagram to get out of step with the config even without explicit changes from yourself.
As you may have gathered we manage the diagram through a separate file from the Struts-config.xml - this is so the Struts config stays "pure" and does not have Oracle specific metadata added to it.
However, this does mean that the diagram and the Struts config need to be kept in step, and checked in and out together. The diagram in the 9.0.5 release will get marked as dirty quite often even if there has been no change to the CFG - this is why you see the difference between what JDev says and what CVS feels about the struts-config file.
This is an issue that we know about and have fixed in the 10.1.3 release, so that:
a) The diagram will not be marked as changed unless there has been a real change
b) Checking out / Committing the Struts config through JDeveloper will manage both the config and the diagram automatically and correctly
