Error during generation of session bean
Hello everyone,
OEPE: 12.1.1.1.0
I created JPA entities through the wizard "JPA Entities from Tables" wizard for departments and employees.
Now I want to create the session bean by using the wizard "Session Bean from JPA Entities".
I give it a name and select all the available entities and click on "Finish". Then I receive the following error:
Error running the session bean generation task.In the error log console, I see the following :

When I create an EJB Transport Business Service, after selecting the jar that has the EJB 2.1 artefacts (Remote, Home, etc) the oepe plugin fails and can't continue.
As I understand it seems that there is a problem with the classpath of ant build.xml that oepe creates inside folder /tmp/alsbejbtransport/ to compile the bs and generate the wsdl. I checked if tools.jar is in the classpath (in eclipse) and is included, so I can't figure out wich is the problem.
I found this in Oracle, but not helps solve the problem:

Description
There was a problem retrieving the WSDL from the typed transport service endpoint at the time of service registration

This is the the full stacktrace that shows eclipse.

Error during generation of smartform Z0001
Hy guys,
First: I'm working with Netweaver Trial version 7.2 64 bits in Windows 7 HP.
When i try generate any smartform (standard or custom), always appears this error "Error during generation of form ..." [name of smartform]. In ST22 i can see that, the error occurs in function "CALL_FUNCTION_SIGNON_INCOMPL" in program SAPMSSY1.
Debugging SMARTFORMS transaction code, i found the RFC function SSF_NEXT_FMNUMBER, this FM return the number which is use to generate the name of smartform function. When is called from include LSTXBF01 with destination "NONE", the RFC connection fail and can`t return the next number.
I try test RFC connection from Trx. SM59 but always return me this message "RFC error when sending logon data"
Anyone knows how resolve this problem?
Thanks and sorry for grammatical errors.
PD: I copy FM SSF_NEXT_FMNUMBER code in a custom program and with this way i can get the number i need, to modify the variable during debugging for generate the FM of Smartforms, but i'll prefer fix the RFC connection.Hello everybody,
my problem is solved.For the UDConnect, whatever DATA SOURCES you create gets registered in a FUNCTION MODULE which has a capacity of only 99 enties, so to increase it implement the SAP NOTE 876340 - UDC Error available on SERVICE MARKET PLACE.
This problem occurs with BW version 3.5 level 17 or below.
Regards,
Priyanka

Deploy Error when using Stateful Session Bean inside Webdynpro
Hi,
I'm trying to create a webdynpro project that uses a stateful session bean
I have created DC's for a EJB Module project, Enterprise Application and Webdynpro component. Created the bean, built it, added it's package to the public part, added the EJB Module to the EAR project. Built the EAR project. Added the EJB Module project and Enterprise Application project as a used DC in the Webdynpro DC.
In the Webdynpro DC I added com.sap.archive-packaging.default.update-descriptors=true in the build.properties file of the cfg directory. (using the navigator view) That resolved an error while building it.
Deployed the Enterprise Application DC without problems.
Tried to deploy the Webdynpro DC but I get the following error:

Error during generation of the function module..need help urgently
Hello everyone,
m trying to generate data source in BWDevelopment.
After mapping all the BW fields to Source Object elements I click on Generate DataSource(for UD Connect) so following error comes
'An error occurred in step 1 during generation of the function module'
RFC connection is fine, error free and extractor is also fine.
Where could be the problem?
Thanks & Regards,
PriyankaHello everybody,
my problem is solved.For the UDConnect, whatever DATA SOURCES you create gets registered in a FUNCTION MODULE which has a capacity of only 99 enties, so to increase it implement the SAP NOTE 876340 - UDC Error available on SERVICE MARKET PLACE.
This problem occurs with BW version 3.5 level 17 or below.

Priyanka

How to make this WSDL file compatible for ABAP proxy.
I have tried to edit WSDL file in XML Spy but did not get any option to replace/remove the tag <extention>.
If any one worked on this. Please help me its urgent.
Thanks and regards,
Shivanand.HI ,
I am having the same issue!!!
Does ABAP Proxy Generation support <extension> ?
Is there a list available of what is supported and what not (please consider I do not have access to sap notes)?

Error While passivating Stateful session bean
I also have same problem when WL passivating. However, the exception throwing from
WL saying the "Ignoring exception raised while passivating".
My question is will that exception lead to failure of passivating and evenually
lead to memory leakage? I just thought that the memory is still in cache either
removed or passivated, as a result more and more memory will be used up as more
failure occurs.

Hello,
we're using iAS SP3.
We deployed a stateless session bean that has a business methods with a Vector as argument (put (vector, String)).
If we call it from a servlet, it works fine. But when we try to call it from a thread, started in a standalone java client program, we obtain a java.rmi.MarshalException.
We tried to use Vector and HashSet objects as arguments, but we always obtain this kind of exception. It seems strange because a similar
method that returns a Collection of objects (getAll) works fine. This is the our bean Remote Interface:
public interface Receive extends EJBObject {
public void putMessage(Message message, java.lang.String la) throws RemoteException; // it works fine!!!
public void putMessages(java.util.Vector messages, java.lang.String la) throws RemoteException; // it doesn't work!!!
Collection getAll (java.lang.String la) throws RemoteException, EJBException; // it works fine!!!!
This is the java client stack trace:

Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
Thank you in advance,
MaurizioThis is big bug!
This seems to occur when you try to return complex objects (e.g. a vector of classes or even the Date class).
As a workaround you can add this Ejb or module to the iPlanet Classpath (NT via kregedit, Sun via iasenv skript.).
This helps but i really don't know why.
It should be fixed in 6.5, maybe. We'll see.

Error while calling local session bean from session facade
Hi Everybody,
I was to execute example of session facade pattern. All the files compile properly, but when ejbc command is run, i get the following error:

Thanks
AmitIf you are looking a local interface up through JNDI, try using the "java:comp/env" namespace. Also, if you post these questions here about EJB, say what vendor you are using because this stuff is pretty new and there will be differences/bugs/etc.

Problem when calling session bean from main.
Hi everyone
I get the following error when calling a session bean from main(String args[]).
Sep 3, 2008 9:11:13 AM com.sun.enterprise.appclient.MainWithModuleSupport <init>
WARNING: ACC003: Application threw an exception.
java.lang.NullPointerException
at databasetest.Main.main(Main.java:26)
Here is my code beneath.
I'm using netbeans and glassfish application server.
Everything is in the same project, called DatabaseTest, I also have deployed the application before running the client.
I'm running the client as follows, right click on the DatabaseTest-app-client and select run.
The client:
package databasetest;
import com.test.UsersFacadeRemote;
import javax.ejb.EJB;
import com.test.Users;
public class Main {
@EJB
private static UsersFacadeRemote usersFacade;
public static void main(String[] args) {
Users users = new Users(12, 34);
usersFacade.create(users);
}The remote facade I'm calling:
package com.test;
import java.util.List;
import javax.ejb.Remote;
@Remote
public interface UsersFacadeRemote {
void create(Users users);
void edit(Users users);
void remove(Users users);
Users find(Object id);
List<Users> findAll();
}The stateless bean:
package com.test;
import java.util.List;
import javax.ejb.Stateless;
import javax.persistence.EntityManager;
import javax.persistence.PersistenceContext;
@Stateless
public class UsersFacade implements UsersFacadeRemote {
@PersistenceContext
private EntityManager em;
public void create(Users users) {
em.persist(users);
public void edit(Users users) {
em.merge(users);
public void remove(Users users) {
em.remove(em.merge(users));
public Users find(Object id) {
return em.find(com.test.Users.class, id);
public List<Users> findAll() {
return em.createQuery("select object(o) from Users as o").getResultList();
}looks like you're banging your head against the same brick wall as [I have done|http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?forumID=13&threadID=5317110] and [others have in the past|http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?forumID=136&threadID=5259913] if that's any consolation.
Funny thing is, mine did actually work in the debugger but not when running!
Strange thing that.
I did initially interest someone from the developers but they couldn't really help, ended up saying : try instantiating your beans the EJB 2.1 way and see where that gets you. Yes that works but they promised us "hey no more dopey xml deployment descriptors just some cool annotations" didn't they?
I've got the feeling were' missing something really obvious!

How call session bean from Client side
Hi
calling session bean from client side it gives Lookup erroe, it gives JNDI error
how we know session bean is working. in Admin tree bean statis is reb Flaf, and ID is "Down" how we activate it..
nullIf you can make a connection using sess_sh, then you know that you have configured your database and listener properly. If it is not working, read the manuals that you can download from technet. They are pretty good, and if you follow the directions, you should see success.
Good Luck!

Error during creation Composite Application Service
Hello!!
In SAP NetWeather Developer Studio we create CAS(Composit Application Service), then we create ENTITY and make GENERATE ALL PROJECT CODE. If CAS is created locally, there are no errors during generation, but if it is created non-locally, an errors occurs with JDO.
1) The project was not built since its classpath is incomplete. Cannot find the class file for javax.jdo.PersistenceManager. Fix the classpath then try rebuilding this project.
2) This compilation unit indirectly references the missing type javax.jdo.PersistenceManager (typically some required class file is referencing a type outside the classpath)
Thank You!!Hi Vadim,
Please uninstall your NWDS and java and reinstall them.
This may solve your problem.
