Hello, I have the problem that I can not create or open a VC model. I get the error message

Charachter: 1
Error: '_root' is null or no object
Code 0
Has anyone an idea?

It could be a java script problem in your browser. Make sure that while you are using VC, there is no yellow exclamatory icon displyed in the lower left hand side of the browser.
If you see that icon, please check if you are using a host name in your address bar and not the actual ip address.
For example: the yellow icon might appear if you have http://10.10.24.10:50000/VC/default.jsp
In this case, you might have to make an entry in the hosts file under etc folder
say, nwserver 10.10.24.10
then use http://nwserver:50000/VC/default.jsp
This should solve the problem.

I have experienced the same problem. When we run FLB2, the system creates a file and stores it somewhere. Via program RFBIDE00 the system tries to open the file. It probably has to do with the fact that you have several application servers but only one is installed as central instance.
What in fact happens, is that the file is written to the application server on which you are logged on to on that moment but when the program RFBIDE00 is running it looksup the file on the central instance server.
I have logged a OSS message for this.

RFBILA00 - Error during opening of file

Hello everyone!
Can someone provide me some help regarding a error message when executing RFBILA00: the message is very strange due to the fact that I have another system an I can write to my c:/temp directory the extract to consolidation. It goes like this: Error during opening of file c:\temp\EXTRACT_CS_CO.txt
I've also check all the costumizing between the two systems and they are equal.

Could it be that the path indicated in the unix configuration isn't valid? I've check this over and over and I don't see any difference between the two systems I have. One works and the other don't!
I've check the customizing via transaction FILE, and everything is equal. Should I contact the systems administration to verify the existence of the unix path, or can I do it myself?

I am trying to develop a PDF Form and I have succcessfully created interface and when i try to create a form, upon pressing the LAYOUT Tab or Button i get an error message and the trnasaction closes down

The application then lists all of the OLE document types. Choose the type corresponding to the desktop applciation. If the insertion fails, the error is in the desktop application itself.
This error has various causes. Often, it is caused by activating certain add-ins. Sometimes, the desktop application is wrongly installed. The error should not recur once you have disabled any add-ins or reinstalled the desktop application.
Procedure for System Administration

I check with the guys who do the SAP GUI installation and he did all he can do with no success. My GUI is 710 version with Patch level 7

Please follow these steps.
1) uninstall all adobe related stuff
2) uninstall sap gui also
3) again install sap gui
4) Then install all adobe related stuff like ALDsetup.exe, xACF_NW04_SP21.exe
5) Just open the formdesigner.exe from Designer 7.1 folder from your desktop
6) Then go to T-code SFP and try to open the layout, it will work fine.
Take the help of basis if required.

Runtime error during opening a process chain in rspcm

Hello,
i created a process chain just a simple one which loads Data from the DataSource into a DSO and then into a InfoCube.
I executed this processchain without activiating my Initial-Request in the DSO.
So i got a hanging Request there, i deleted all Requests from all objects in this processchain. Still had this hanging Request, so i deleted this one Request from the RSEQDONE. Now my processchain is working, but it takes very long to open it when i am in the RSPCM or i even get a runtime error.
Any suggestions?

Regarding RSPCM you better to check the oss notes which are shared by Michael devine.
Coming to your issue, if you have loading huge data then better to increase your wait time of your info pack load.
go to your info pack --> menu scheduler-->Time out time, increase as you need.
if your doing full loads, please use proper selections and split your load as small chunks.
increase packet sizes and parallel settings to speed up your load.

CC show error /cannot open pdf created by cs5

I just bought a new CC to replace cs5. However, when I try to open the pdf file created by CS5. CC stopped and said it is error. Any people can help? Million thanks!

Why open the PDF? The AI is better.
What happens if you create a new document in CC, then tick Paste Remembers Layers in the Layers palette, then File>Place the CS5 document (and untick Paste Remembers layers afterwards)?
I presume you are (still) saving to/opening from your own harddisk, and copying to/from external whatever. If not, what if you do?

Xcode error when opening or creating projects

Hi,
I've got a project for school that's written in C and is able to be compiled on a number of different systems, and I'm told Mac OSX is one of them. I'd like to use xcode, because I don't really know of any other c tools to use on the Mac, and also, the sourse I have has a folder called fdk.xcode, with a file called project.pbxproj in it. I'm assuming this is/was used for xcode on the Mac.
So anyway. I installed xcode from the developer package that was sitting on my hard drive, and double clicked the project file: xcode opens, and then I get an error message:
Error: can't open blah/blah/blah.xcode
Reason: *-[PBXToolbar_notificationPostingEnabled]: selector not recognized [self = 0x4730270].
So I hit continue, and I get another error message box:
Internal Error
Uncaught Exception:

Stack Backtrace:
The stack backtrace has been logged to the console.
So... Umm.. what the **** does that mean?
I first figured it was the project file, so I tried to create a new empty project in xcode. When I create the new project, I get the same error messages. And when I try to reopen the project (because it actually makes the folder and puts a .xcode project file in there) I get the same error again.
My only thought on this, and I could be totally wrong, is that this version of xcode is from 10.3, which came preinstalled on my Powerbook, and I've since upgraded to 10.4. Does that make sense?
Anyway.. if so, how do I go about uninstalling this version of xcode before I try the one that's on my 10.4 dvd?
My version of Xcode is 1.0, with component versions:
xcode ide: 256.0
xcode core: 256.0

You seriously need to download and install the latest version of Xcode if you are using Tiger. The current version is 2.2 or something.
Get it from the downloads section at
http://connect.apple.com
You will have to register to gain access. Before you do so, I further suggest that you completely uninstall the old version, which can be done with a shell script located in /Developer/Tools. If you are not comfortable with doing this here is the commandline in Terminal:
/Developer/Tools/uninstall-devtools.pl

FormsServlet Error during opening of form in Internet Explorer

I have installed Database10g Rel2 in my system. After that i installed Developer suite suite 10g Rel2 into same PC. this is for personal use on single PC.
But when i opened the form builder and runing one form made on same 10g forms during applet initialization it gives an Internet Explorer error and closes the form.
in OCJ4 it gives test = False.

If the browser is crashing, the problem is likely related to a JRE conflict. If you have any Sun JRE/JPI installed and running, then try to run a form with Oracle Jinitiator, the browser will crash. We have also seen this problem when Jinit does not correctly install for one reason or another. Knowing this information would be helpful in us assisting:
- what operating system and version?
- which JRE/Jinitiator are you attempting to use?
- is the Sun JRE/JPI installed on this machine?
- did you install Dev Suite in the same home with the Database?
Things to be aware of:
Reference to "Home" is the same as "directory". You cannot install the Database in the same Home (directory) as Developer Suite. Each must reside in their own parent directory.
Internet Explorer 7 is NOT supported for use with Forms 10.1.2.0.2. Refer to the following for more details:http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/forms/htdocs/10gR2/clientsod_forms10gR2.html
Recommendations:
1. Close ALL open browsers
2. Uninstall Jinitiator and any Sun JRE (if installed)
3. Reboot
4. With ALL browsers closed, manually install the Jinitiator version configured in your formsweb.cfg
5. Retest.

JAR resources in JNLP file are not signed by same certificate

Hi Rajesh,
Did you copy the Jar files from some location or did you download it (By clicking the IR / ID link in XI home page?)
Generally when you copy the jar files and put it in the folder specified in Java Webstart, you get this error.
Did you try to clear the application folder in Java Webstart?
OPen java webstart File->Preferences Go to Advanced tab. Clear the folder.
Download the jar files all over again by clicking the IR/ ID links.

Why do I receive Offending Operator Error when opening illustrator created charts??

I have created a pie chart in illustrator and after I save and close I receive Offending Operator errors when reopening and my chart information is gone. This has happened to me twice between a six month period. I thought it was just corupt files, but sure enough I am having the same issue when trying to create again.
Can anyone offer suggestions as to what i am doing wrong?
