Error during Start BI Services

Hi! I'm using Oracle BI 11.1.1.5
In AdminConsole I switched off these cache settings:
- Security Realms - myrealm - Configuration - Performance - Enable WebLogic Principal Validator Cache=false
- Security Realms - myrealm - Providers - DefaultAuthenticator - Performance - Enable Group Membership Lookup Hierarchy Caching = false
After that when I launch "Start BI Services" I get an error:

I found file "boot.properties" and replace username with "weblogic" and correct password in it. But the error still appears.
How can I give to Oracle BI correct user and password for starting Weblogic?

Did u give the syntax of username and password correctly ?
Please find the syntax below (Location is MW_HOME/user_projects/domains/bifoundation_domain/servers/AdminServer/security) :
username=user1
password=pass1
These two values have to be entered without quotes. After modifying this , if you still face any issue, pls delete this file and try starting BI Services. While starting it will ask for the username and password, please provide there.

when i install the Oracle 8i on Windows 2003 then
it installed successfully and import and export data successfully wothout any Problem
But after that when i restart the Server then
it ask for the User name and Password BUT when i entered the User Name and Password it show's that Error

and then started the CSService, then went to the OEM setup i clicked Retry buton, then it went through.

i am trying to install Oracle Enterprise manager grid control,
i am getting the following error message
"error in starting the service Oracle CSService not found"
when i checked in the "services.msc" the Oracle CSService is not started, so i tried to start the service, but its not starting and giving the error message as "error 3 system cannot find the path specified"
then i checked in the service properties, and the path is pointing to a different directory,
now i want to change this path to the correct oracle bin directory.
any views how to cnage/update this path in the services.msc, for "Oracle CSService"

ERROR: Cannot start mail services, configuration directory does not exist

I'm running an Xserve G5 with one internal boot drive and one RAID using the other two internal drives. I used Apple's Disk Utility to set-up the RAID.
Back in early December, I moved my mail database and mail store to the RAID. Ever since, when I restart the server, the mailaccess.log generates the following error:
Jan 23 18:51:33 mail master[47]: ERROR: Cannot start mail services, configuration directory does not exist: /Volumes/RAID/mail.data/db
I'm speculating this is a timing error that gets created when Postfix initially can't find the RAID. Then, it must try again and find it because the error message does not repeat and mail starts running.
Is this something to worry about?

You're right, it's a timing issues. The mail system is ready for work before the file system is mounted. It's benign.

Recently, after a year or more of relatively smooth service, my OS X Server 10.4.11 Mail services has been locking up daily.
I was finally able to get some information from the log files (I am a noob to this) and saw the following right after my most recent reboot of the server:
Oct 5 09:51:11 mm1 master[50]: ERROR: Cannot start mail services, configuration directory does not exist: /Volumes/Data/mail/var/imap
I checked the server and that directory is indeed there on the partition named "DATA", so I am baffled as why the server does not thing the configuration directory exists?

It's good to know that the message I am getting from the mail server about the configuration files is only a temporary thing. Although I find it strange that the mail service doesn't know where its config files are since it is specified in the mail server setup.
I looked at the log files you mentioned and do not see anything that looks like a specific problem with the mail services themselves.
Recently, however, I have been having recurring problems where my mail server and my Web/Database server have both become unresponsive at nearly the same time even though they are on different class A networks to where I cannot access them via ARD, Server Admin and even SSH. That is usually when my mail server goes offline. I was afraid it was because of that configuration error I was seeing, but think now that the problem could be something else entirely (maybe some kind of network problem or denial of service hacking attack, no idea).

Error during start of process in Inegration Process

Hi,
My scenario is file to integration process and back.
Message is not entering my integration process. In sxmb_moni it shows a green falg at the queue and when you click on 'PE', we are taken to the inbound queue with 'SYSFAIL'.
The error description at the trace is 'Error during start of process'.
There are no errors in sxi_cache for the particular integration process. The return code is '0'. I have tried re-activation too and tested again. But to no avail.
There are no entries in swwl, since the message has not even entered integration process.
Kindly help me to correct the error.

Yes the the 'Start Process' is checked.
Steps in BPM.
Receive step, transformation step to a multiline element, a block for sending each line in the multiline, a container operation for appending (also inside the block) and finally another transforamtion and send step.
But since the message has not even entered the send step, it is not of much use to know all steps

One of my BPM scenario was strucked every weekend in the queue (SMQ2) and say the error called " Error during start of process of type WS91000041"
I observed the Queue messages, due to the error from database system for particular record,
In my BPM there is Exception Branch in the block step in case of Database connection error, Why it was strucked in the queue in case of error in the Database?
Why it doesn't the goes to exception branch?

iam new to OBIEE, while iam starting the services of Oracle BI Server, then display an error as
"Could not start the Oracle BI Server sercice on Local Computer.
Error 1064: An expception occurred in the service when handling the control request."
why this error occurs, is there any problem in installation or in any other else....

I have faced this before. When you change the NQSconfig file to add a new RPD created by you and change the INSTANCECONFIG.XML file with the services in started state you get this error. To rectify the issue please stop the BI SERVER and presentation server and JAVA host services. Then chnage the NQSCONFIG.INI file and INSTANCECONFIG.XML file. Then you start the services it will start without an error.

OBIEE 11g: Error while starting obiee services

Hi All,
I am facing problem while starting OBIEE services.
Error Message: The configuration file (C:\obi\user_projects\domains\bifoundation_domain\config\fmwconfig\jps-config.xml) was not found or is inaccessible.
I tried staring services through EM and OPMN, however I am getting the same error (in Presentation, BI Server, Scheduler, Cluster Controller log Files).
It's a cluster environment and I am able to start obiee services on node 2, however node 1 gives the error as mentioned above.
How can I resolve this issue?

All other log files (presentation, bi server, scheduler, cluster controller) contains the following error message:
Error Message: The configuration file (C:\obi\user_projects\domains\bifoundation_domain\config\fmwconfig\jps-config.xml) was not found or is inaccessible.

I checked FMW_SECURITY_SERVICE_URL parameter in the NQSConfig.ini file.
This parameter is using VIP (admin server listen to this) and not the actual IP of the server.
Should I change this URL and point it to actual IP.
What is the procedure to change this parameter using EM?

BAM error - during start oracle BAM

Hi,
I am getting the below mentioned error while starting Oracle BAM, i have installed BAM 10g release (10.3), there were no problems in installation. Any help will be highly appreciated.

Any particular reason , you haven't moved to BAM 11g ( 11.1.1.3.0).
This is the latest release for the product.
