Error IE7 Beta 2

I have test pages working in FF1.5 and IE6 but in IE7b2 I'm
getting an error and the images don't load.
"Exception caught in Spry.Utils.asynchLoadURL: [object
Error]"
Any ideas??
thanks,

because your detailregion has 2 data sets.

Hi Kin,
I used your suggestion and removed the nested regions (works
fine) . But the "captions" still show only one word (in IE6 and
IE7).
Here's the 'refined' code:
<div id="mainPicture" sprydetailregion="dsGallery
dsData">
<img class="bigpic" src="{dsData::large/@base}{@path}"
alt="{dsGallery::@caption}" />
{dsGallery::@caption}
</div>
<div id="thumbtable" spryregion="dsGallery dsData">
<img src="{dsData::thumbnail/@base}{@thumbpath}"
alt="{dsGallery::@caption}" spryrepeat="dsGallery" class="thumbs"
onclick="dsGallery.setCurrentRow('{ds_RowID}');"
alt="{dsGallery::@caption}" />
</div>
Just an FYI, it seems ok in FF 1.5. It looks like the alt
tags made it (but i'm not getting 'mouse overs' for them). I
haven't had a chance to try it yet..but do you think the CDATA
trick would work?
Thanks again - Spry has been very helpful,

  • Flashhelp Access Problem with IE7 Beta

    When I generate a Flashhelp helppage, I cannot view it,
    whether in IE or Firefox or Opera. I always get a message that
    Macromedia Flash Player has stopped a potentially unsafe
    application. I go to the Flash Settings site, but i'm clueless what
    is not set correctly.
    The error message is that wf_master.swf is trying to
    communicate with internet-enabled wf_master.htm.
    I confess, I haven't used Flashhelp in many months, but it
    used to work. The only thing that I can remember changing is
    upgrading to IE7 Beta a week or so ago. I'm using Robohelp X5 with
    Windows XP Pro SP2. Any ideas on how to get by this will be
    appreciated. Other formats work fine. thanks,
    david

    Hi david
    For starters, it's not the browser, it's probably Flash
    Player version 8. Secondly, unless you are deploying your FlashHelp
    to each local users' PC, you should have no issues with your users
    seeing this message and having to deal with it. It only happens
    with locally installed files. If you are deploying to a server and
    your users are accessing from there, you should be fine. Typically,
    this is corrected by adding the main FlashHelp folder to the list
    of "safe" folders on the Flash settings page. Drawing from memory
    here, but there is a link on the left where you choose Global
    settings. Then across the middle is an option button you need to
    select. I believe there are three and it's the middle option. Then
    you click the drop down and browse to the folder containing your
    FlashHelp and click Add to add this folder to the white list.
    Hopefully this helps... Rick

  • Flash player crashes in IE7 Beta 3

    I have a couple of computers with XP Pro (all fully patched)
    with Beta 3 of IE7. The Flash Player ocx is crashing frequently but
    most often when looking at Flex 2 sites. All seems pretty fine in
    Firefox but that is not the answer as I am looking at developing
    some Flex apps which must work cross browser. Is anyone else
    getting this? Any workarounds?

    Check
    http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html
    Too, too many problems have not yet been
    corrected/updated,but perhaps this might help you...And, check the
    Adobe Forums for ocx info-
    Also, forget "Beta" anything! Try to recover IE6.

  • Workshop 8.1.x with IE7 Beta installed??

    Has anyone tried installing IE7's beta with Workshop installed on the same machine?
    I have tried this and I am now missing all of the image rendering in the JSP editor of Workshop. They all just appear as red x's.
    Any thoughts?
    Yes, I know this is beta, but the reason we use betas is to identified these types of issues.

    Hi Christopher,
    I've tried this with both IE7 Beta2 and Beta3 and have noticed the same behavior. There is a internal bug filed on this issue.
    The only workaround which I am aware of is to uninstall IE7.
    The reason for this behavior is that the 8.1 IDE relied on IE specific behavior, which is why the JSP editor was only available on Windows and not on Solaris. In IE7, looks like MS has changed soemthign which is causing this issue.

  • IE7 Beta 3 not able to Read webhelp HTM

    IE7 is running fine on my WinXP Pro SP2 computer - except
    that it balks at showing any webhelp or webhelp pro HTM files that
    Robohelp X5 generates. If I upload the files to a server, then it
    shows them. I didn't keep careful history, but this didn't happen
    when I was using IE6. I have no problem with flashhelp files. Any
    tips on the IE settings or other environmental issues will be
    appreciated. thanks,
    david
    P.S. The generated files display properly with Firefox, Opera
    and Seamonkey - it's just IE7 that balks. Generates no error
    message - just shuts down.

    Hi David
    Ouch! While reinstalling RoboHelp seems to have done the
    trick, it was a bit on the extreme side. You could have easily
    avoided that.
    I'm curious to know, however, why you listed you were getting
    the message "Please install a browser.." in your reply marking it
    as the ultimate answer. In your first post, you said:
    P.S. The generated files display properly with Firefox, Opera
    and Seamonkey - it's just IE7 that balks. Generates no error
    message - just shuts down.
    Had we known you were receiving the "Please install a
    browser" message, we could have provided a quick way to correct
    things without reinstalling RoboHelp.

  • Can't install Muse CC - error says beta version is already installed?

    I can't find the app anywhere on my computer but the error I'm getting during install in that a "beta version of this product exists on the computer. Please quit and uninstall that version before continuing"
    Anyone else getting this error?

    Refer to the following article on uninstalling Muse - http://helpx.adobe.com/muse/kb/uninstall-muse.html.
    If it isn't installed and if that is a Mac machine, use the Spotlight to search for anything Muse related and remove. Look into the Trash folder too to find any instances of the app.
    Most likely you're trying to install Muse using the CC Application Manager and as Muse is an Air application, there are certain limitations in how we interact with the Application Manager that can cause these types of conflicted states. Refer to the following thread for more about this - http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1253307.
    Also include external drives in your search for an old version of Muse. You can attempt to install the app using the installer found here as well (another thread for reference <http://forums.adobe.com/message/5052701#5052701>):
    Mac : http://www.adobe.com/go/muse_latest_mac
    Win : http://www.adobe.com/go/muse_latest_win
    You could use the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool as well that helps resolve installation problems and can clean up install records for any pre-release (beta) installations of these products (download links at the bottom) - http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html
    Thanks,

  • Oracle web conference and the IE7 beta

    Hi,
    i am running a beta version of the Microsoft IE7 but are not able to get to the oracle webconference site at work. Using a ie6 or 5 works fine.
    The thing is, it loads the page header/title and there it just keeps looping..
    Viewing the source of the looping page gives us this:
    <html>
    <head>
    <title>Oracle Collaboration Suite 10g</title>
    <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0;url=/imtapp/app/prelogin.uix"></head>
    </html>
    Anyone a hint to get it working other that downgrading to a ie6 or 5?

    i fixed parts of it by changing some of the advanced settings in IE7. Like certificate settings and ssl settings..

  • "not enough memory" error in beta version of CS6

    i've installed the CS6 beta and using bridge with Camera RAW (it's a great improvement over the previous version IMO).
    my problem is that when i'm trying to save just one file i've processed in Camera RAW into a jpeg (straight from Camera RAW itself) i keep getting "not enough (free) memory" error no matter what i do.
    i've tried increasing the maximum allowable cache size, the location of the cache. i'm not sure what i can try, it seems to do the trick for everybody.
    the same error doesn't happen in previous version of Camera RAW (the one that came with CS5).
    any suggestions would be most welcome!

    I assume you're referring to your Photoshop scratch disk file—but that would be irrelevant since you later state that you mostly use ACR hosted by Bridge.
    etc.
    However, I'm still left with the impression that you are indeed short on memory.
    You also come across as unclear as to scratch disk, cache and "temp files" [sic].  My point is that there's maybe not enough sound information here for the Adobe techs to help you.

  • ** ERROR: ** This beta software has expired **

    Folks,
    Unable to restart DS 5.2p5 after shutting down the server. Error I get, plus logged in error file is as in Subject: title. I didn't think Sun s/w 'time bombed'. Lucky for me this server is not in production...yet !!. Re-configuring makes no difference.
    The DS server was installed from s/w downloaded from Sun in Jan '07. As I needed to install messaging server (Java Enterprise 05Q4 (java_es_05q4_msgserver-ga-solaris-sparc.zip). I have since patched to p5 a a few weeks ago.
    Any ideas, why this is happening ?
    Cheers.

    Unfortunately it is the case.
    There is an escalation opened, the fix is underway.
    The bug used to track this is 6587775.
    The issue will trigger when the server is restarted. Running servers should be kept up until the hotfix is applied.
    For Solaris 8,9,10 Sparc, a hot fix already exist (for another issue) and can be applied now. It's identified as 5.2_Patch_5_VJ_6567491_1.

    No it doesn't, and nor should it. It fixes general errors in
    Spry. Spry is a
    lab experiment. Someday it will probably be very good. IE7
    Beta caused a
    panic and lots of folks did some "beta fixes"... and then had
    to undo and
    redo a lot of work upon the final release.
    I strongly advise anyone seeing issues with a page in IE8 to
    simply log in
    to Microsoft's beta forum and report it. If you attempt to
    fix a bug now,
    you might be setting the stage for a broken page when the
    finished version
    of IE8 ships.

  • Unable to install Flash Builder Premium: a beta version exists on this computer

    Hi,
    I'm a user of Flex since version 2 and i'm still currently using it everyday. Some days ago I uninstall Flash Builder Premium 4.7 because i did a mess installing some external packages so I dedided to uninstall it and install everything from scratch.
    The problem is that installing using Creating Cloud on my iMac, I always receive the same error: "a beta version exists on this computer".
    I have already used the "Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool" and I removed the "Adobe Flash Builder" having the same icon as the other applications installed by Creative Cloud and now I have another "Adobe Flash Builder" with a slightly different icon but I'm scared to use it because waiting to repair Flash Builder 4.7 I'm using Flash Builder 4.6 and I cannot think I cannot work because Flash Builder is not working (I use it every day !).
    I removed Flash Builder 4.7 using the uninstaller, so the uninstalled didn't completed its job.
    On the machine I have currently installed Flex Builder 3, Adobe Flash Builder 4.6, Adobe Gaming SDK 1.0 (no uninstaller for it !), Adobe Flash C++ Compiler (no uninstaller for it too!).
    So, the question is, where I can find the log file containing the reason of the error message ? I have already checked the followimg folders:
         \Library\Logs\Adobe\Installer: I cleaned the folder and the error happens before a file is created in this folder
         \Users\<my account>\Library\Logs: it seems that the error isn't logged here
    Please help me, I need to use Flash Builder 4.7 for a presentation I have to do next Wednsday (almost 2 years of working !!!)
    Thank you
    Diego Novati

    Hi novatiitm,
    Please search for Flash Builder in Spotlight and if find simply uninstall it or delete the folders containing the software.

    See if the content of [this|http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms227600(VS.80).aspx] will help.
    The other option is to install CR 2008 designer on that computer - temporarily as a test only. Run the report in the designer and see if it works. Sometimes the designer will give you different error or better clues as to what is going on. E.g.; this could even be a database issue. An eval of CR 2008 is available from [here|http://www.sap.com/solutions/sapbusinessobjects/sme/freetrials/index.epx]

  • Error installing Flash Builder 4.5 after uninstalling Flash Burrito

    ON MAC:
    I'm getting errors installing FB 4.5 PHP,
    I tried installing FB 4.5, but just got errors saying  'beta or pre-release needs to be uninstalled'
    so I instead tried installing FB 4.5 PHP which gives better error messages.
    It said unable to delete directories:
    Adobe Flash Builder Burrito Preview
    Adobe Flash Builder Burrito
    Adobe Flash Builder Burrito/sdks
    which don't exist, so I created them and gave them r/w access to everyone.
    Still getting the same error.

    Looks like you might have a conflict with a existing installation of Adobe Help.  You may want to review your install logs in their entirety however.  You can find details on how to accomplish this at Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5-cs5.html.
