Error in Back ground job schedule for call transaction

Hi Experts ,
I have a Program which as Three BDC in it . 1 - to create contact person , 2- customer 3-sales order
Using call transaction if i run with all screens and no screens it's running fine..
if i schedule it background job
conact and customer works fine but sales order not works ..
can anyone give me the solution ?

It works Fine for Back ground anf fore ground i.e ( N and A ) sales order is created here .
but Sales order not created when i schedule it in back ground as
Program - execute in back ground .
sales not created when i schedule it in background job only using SM36 or Program - execute in back ground ?

Please follow the below steps to schedule a background job.
First - create a Report-Variant for your print programm using the SE38.
Then...
1.) Call the transaction SM36
Enter a Job Name / You may set a job class other
than 'C' (See online Help on that field).
2.) Push the STEP Button
3.) Push the ABAP Program button
Enter der programm name an the variant name
save that window
4.) Push "BACK"
5.) Push "Start Condition"
6.) Push Date/Time
Enter Date + Time for the first start
Mark "Periodic Job" !!
7.) Push "Period Values"
Set the period you want the job to be started
Save everything

Back Ground Job Scheduling SM36

Hello Experts
I have Created Variants for Reports and trying to schedule a back ground job based on the Variants.
for 1 Report KOK5 The Program is SAPMKAUF of Type M. I get a Message i cant schedule a Job for Program Type Other Than 1 or J. how Can i solve this Problem.
I want the output in excel on schedule basis
am new to SAP

Hi Sandeep,
You will need to wrap that module pool program using a Transaction code then create BDC, and execute this BDC coding in a report program.

Regarding back ground job scheduling

one of our program was sheduled for back ground job, by another user, so just i need to knwo when this job is sheduled and it is executing daily, so, i need to knwo whether he has created a background job through , sm36, or through a program, how could i found it out.

It is difficult to say. But if you can go to SM37 and check the log of the JOB it will dispaly you some messages.

Back ground job scheduling in BDC

Hi ,
Can anybody explain about back groung job scheduling in BDC program.

Hi,
In your BDC program first create sessions, Submit the program RSBDCSUB with parameters like session name, startdate etc .
Then session will be processed in background.
Or You can write the BDC program to create sessions.
select the sessions from SM35. Then click on Process, a popup will be displayed, then choose third option(Backgound processing).
Then your session will be processed immediately..

                        With this details the report executed sucessfully.Now i want to see the output list for that report.Please tell that where i have to see the output list.
what is the transaction code for displaying that output list?????????????????

Go to SM36.. select ownjobs..
List will come.. Select your job (check box) and click SPOOL ...
Output will come like this..
Spool no. Type Date       Time Status Pages Title

Press the Icon under Type...
Output will get displayed..

Back ground job scheduling

hi,
question regarding back ground scheduling, one program consists of a selection screen having some input field and program calling SMARTFORMS in the program. When I shedule it in back ground I am not seeing output in the spool, and job is not completed sucessfully, so what is the problem??

probably the report is not designed to work properly in background.

We developed a custom program which creates Operative Projects along with WBS, activities, milestones etc using a standard template ie. copying from standard project template. When i run this custom program online, it generates operative project
successfully. But when we run this program background , the job gets cancelled giving the following error.

Since you are running your program in background, I assume you have ensured that you are not reading from or writing to any file on the presentation server.
Presentation server is not accessible when you run your program in background.

Background JOB scheduling for BD87 transaction for IDOC processing

Hello All,
I have a requirement to schedule program(BD87) for background processing.I have created varient for selection screen.
Query is how do i slect a particular node ithe tree and execute a particular button in background processing.
Do i need to write BDC for BD87 transaction?? or there is any other approach for the same.

oh!! that's different! if your IDOCs have errors and remain in status 51, no transaction in the whole world can proceed them.
you will have to investigate what caused the status 51. go to transaction BD87, select your IDOCs and go to the IDOC-body. you have several segments there: contol, data and status ... go to the status-segment, open it and double-click on the message in red at the side of the status 51 - analyse the error, edit the IDOCs or - if that is no solution, kill them and create new ones.
what is the error message? (just out of curiosity ...)

I have a requirement in which i need to modify come data in a spool and i need to create the spool again.
i) How to schedule background jobs if i have say 100 spools which i need to modify in the same way and create spools of all those jobs which i submit in ground.

You need to read the Spool into Internal Table and then do the Modify and then create Spool again

if I execute alv list display and alv grid display in back ground is there any difference.
is it possible printing a logo in back ground job schedule.

a) from abap coding point of view,
alv list is done with Function modules,
alv gris can also be done with FM,
but can also be done using OO concepts.
b) Alv grid (using oo concept) requires
designing the screen layout .
Hence, in one screen, we can show more

c) ALV grid uses ActiveX controls
present on the Presentation Server.
Hence, it consumes More Memory
on the presentation server.

Back Ground Job Issue

Hi,
My report program was executing successfully in the Foreground but not in the back ground.. Can any one help me on this?
My report program has a selection screen..I entered the data for it at and through menu option Program->execute in background..I executed it..As it asked for output device i gave LP01 and No of copies to 1. and checked Radio button Print all. and clicked ok.
It asked me for start time and i selected Immediate and clicked on save.
It gave a status message "Back ground Job Scheduled".
Now when i look through SM37 under my name the job is always active and Never finished.
Can any one help me on this?

Just check whether the job is running in the background or not
Double Click on the job name and take the Server & Process Id.
Go back to the SM37 Screen.
Click on Application Servers or directly Open the transaction SM51.
Select the Server and find the process Id with the help of the things you found already
Now, you can see the database level.
Check if the values or moving or not. This way you could track the details
If not, Ask BASIS guys to check whether the job is reading from rollback or not.
If it is, cancel and rerun the job...or else..leave the job..it will finish off in some time.

ME2ON - Delivery creation via back ground job

Hi,
We are using ME2ON transaction for subcontracting process. Requirement is to have a back ground job scheduled to create deliveries.
Is there a trick to have this transaction executed in the back ground.(As this is a SAP ENJOY transaction, BDC is not supported for back ground processing purpose)

We are not keen in using older trasaction as that will not serve our purpose, we want to use ME2ON.
BAPI- Can you please give me the BAPI name to create a outbound delivery for subcontracting.
Concern is if i use the BAPI in the back ground, how can i populate the date automatically from the PO, if that is the case, then we are Rewriting the whole program(ME2ON)

Error while using Back ground Job for Planning function in BPS

I have created FM and Program for scdualing Back ground Job for Planning function.
I have created Planning function with exit option and passed parameter Global seqence name.
Error is lot of Jobs are creating while exe in BPS0
Kindly help me the same

Hi Rama,
It seems there are two diff. functional modules (UPC_BUNDLE_EXECUTE AND UPC_BUNDLE_EXECUTE_STEP). The second one divides the planning sequesces on the basis of something you specify (e.g. company code). Just make sure that you are using correct FM.
