Error in building HotSpot and how to confirm HotSpot is installed?

I have downloaded the source code of the Java HotSpot 2.0 and would like to build my own VM. I have followed the build instructions in the README file, but the build was unsuccessful.
(1) I use(Bash shell): make product to build the server HotSpot. and return the following error:
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
make[2]: *** [carRememberedSet.o] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/hotspot/hotspot2_0-server-src-linux/build/linux/linux_i486_compiler2/product'
make[1]: *** [the_vm] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/hotspot/hotspot2_0-server-src-linux/build/linux/linux_i486_compiler2/product'
make: *** [product] Error 2
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Why is this happening n how can I solve it?
(2) Besides, how can I confirm that the successful built HotSpot is running on the jdk installed? Any specific command to know this?
Thanx: meileng

Can any one help me to solve the problem of building the HotSpot2_0_server-src-linux ?
I am using RedHat 9.0 with default GNU gcc/g++ version 3.2.2, GNU Make version 3.79.1 and kernel 2.4.20-8smp.
Following the step:
1) setenv ALT_BOOTDIR /usr/local/jdk1.4.2
2) unsetenv CLASSPATH
3) unsetenv LD_LIBRARY_PATH
5)cd build/linux
4) gmake product (build server hotspot)
I receive the same error

Has anyone compile build a hotspot before. If so, I am really desperate to seek your advice.

hai ram reddy this is ramprasad reddy....u can get this type of most commen errors....like below
As the frequent failures and errors , there is no fixed reason for the load to be fail , if you want it for the interview perspective I would answer it in this way.
    a) Loads can be failed due to the invalid characters
    b) Can be because of the deadlock in the system
    c) Can be becuase of previuos load failure , if the load is dependant on other loads
    d) Can be because of erreneous records
    e) Can be because of RFC connections.....(sol: raise the ticket to BASIS team to provide the connection)
f)can be coz of missing master data.
g)can be coz of no data found in the source system.
h)Time stamp error........(sol: activate the data source and replicate the data source and load)

I have just installed 465, parallel to 463.
And then I had to migrate to projects, which gave me now problems and is not yet finished. Why am I doing this?
Why can't I have a subscription of this software and it automatically keeps up2date?

Could be me, but your VI is not working properly on the english version of LV. Can I suggest you to try programming in English in the future?
Yes, it's you. The VI is working just fine, except for some cosmetic issues with the labeling. I don't think is is a valid suggestion to force somebody to program in a specific language, especially since LabVIEW supports all these languages.
Here are the problems with the VI:
If you don't want an amplitude of zero, you need to set the amplitude control to a nonzero value before running. Simple as that!. (You could also set the input range for the amplitude control to exclude zero or use a case structure to skip certain code if the amplitude is zero).
You could also wire the error output to an indicator so it simply displays the errors, but keeps running.
Your while loop is currently useless. You can delete it and the program function will not change. Use a stop button at the loop condition.
Your while loop needs some timing so it runs at a reasonable rate. Either add a small wait or configure the signal generation to "simulate acquisition timing" instead of "run as fast as possible".

I have been looking for a good file synchronization program, and everywhere I look, 'rsynch' keeps coming up.  However, rsynch doesn't seem to be installed anywhere on my iMac (just upgraded to Mountain Lion today, but I couldn't find it yesterday either!).
Can someone tell me where to look and how to install rsynch?
    Many thanks in advance.

Thanks, Tom.  As you can see, I was spelling it incorrectly!  Sorry for wasting everyone's time.
Actually, I am interested in getting better with some command line work, although I have to admit I'm tremendously rusty.  My last work with Unix was > 10 years ago.

  • What kind of card do i need, and how easy is it to install?

I bought an airport base station, and found that my 2004 ibook G4 cannot go wireless. I called apple, and they said to buy a card on ebay and installing it won't be too hard. I'd rather do this than buy a new computer, as i just bought tiger. What kind of card do i need and how do i install it? thanks.
    ibook G4   Mac OS X (10.4.4)

You will need the original Airport card and not an Airport Extreme card.
That is incorrect. The iBook G4 requires the AirPort Extreme card.

  • Error usingEXE/Building Installer, and cFP .iak error

I built my app and created an .EXE, however when I run it, I get the error(see image error1.jpg) "Cannot Load the browse dialog. Some necsessary components are missing.to correct the problem, reinstall the driver software that is associated with this control." when I try to bring up the Filedpoint browse dialog. This when ra on the computer with LV8.5 full devel. version. If I just run the VI, everything works fine.
Also, when I try to build an installer, I get these errors: (see image)
And then the final question, whenever I shut down labview, I have to open MAX, create a new .iak file, "find devices" for each FP-device and then press "start" so I can see the current values. Then I have to remove the FPdevices from my project, and readd them (new targets and devices), (importing the Fieldpoint configuration does not work). then it all works again untill I close labview. might it be associated with the fact that I cannot save the config file in the project? (see image) when I close the window again, the configpath is gone and when I clock add it says "warning, error saving file".
    thanx.

I've just found temporary (let's say) solutions:
    About my exe:
test editor for cFP, so I have to allow user to set cFP chanel (let's say DO1), set description, and create table of boolean values.
I want to use cFP "Browse" dialog, but:
there is a VI called "FP get Configuration Info.vi" (Functions>>Measurements I/O>> FieldPoint>> Advanced>>cFP Get Configuration Info)
Set path to *.iak file, define configuration name, communication resource (MAX's cFP name) and device name (l.s: cFPAI-111@3) and operation  get item list (long string)
It will get us all input adreses at module cFP-AI-111 and next module and so on...
So user will operate at ring or listbox to select cFP channel what is, hmm... proper solution when he isn't connected to cFP at my exe.
    Regards
