Error in ERP CFTE integration using Web dispatcher

HI all,
while doing the integration between ERP system and SAP CFTE  using i Web dispatcher i am getting an error.
please find the details in the attached doc.
Request your assistance in resolving this issue
Sandy

Hi Shuai,
The error i am getting in the web dispatcher log.SO i believe the block is in the WD itself.
I am using a sub-domain in the URL for differentiating the URL for each server.
ie,
EXTURL : https://xxxxxxxx.yyyyy.COM:443/sapclouddev/sap/bc/srt/idoc?sap-client=220
INTURL: https://xxxxxxxx.yyyyy.COM:44300/sap/bc/srt/idoc?sap-client=220
For attaining this following are the parameters and values set in in the web dispatcher
icm/server_port_0 = PROT=HTTP,HOST=localhost,PORT=81$$
icm/server_port_1 = PROT=HTTPS,HOST=xxxxxxxx.yyyyy..com,PORT=443,ACLFILE=\\xxxdsp00\sapmnt\XXX\W00\sec\ACL.txt
icm/HTTP/admin_0 = PREFIX=/sap/admin,DOCROOT=$(DIR_DATA)$(DIR_SEP)icmandir,AUTHFILE=$(icm/authfile),PORT=81$$;443
wdisp/group_info_protocol = https
wdisp/url_map_protocol = https
wdisp/ping_protocol = https
wdisp/ssl_encrypt = 0
#settings for client certificate handling
icm/HTTPS/verify_client = 1
icm/HTTPS/forward_ccert_as_header = true
wdisp/ssl_auth = 0
wdisp/system_0 = SID=DEV, MSHOST=xxxxxxxx.yyyyy.corp, MSPORT=8100,  SRCURL=/sapclouddev
icm/HTTP/auth_0 =PREFIX =/sapclouddev,PERMFILE= \\ergdsp00\sapmnt\EWD\W00\sec\perm.txt   (Full perm for now)
icm/HTTP/mod_0 =PREFIX=/sapclouddev,FILE=\\xxxdsp00\sapmnt\XXX\W00\sec\actionfile.txt
action file
RegIRewriteUrl /sapclouddev/sap(.*) /sap$1 [qsreplace]
Please let me know whether there is any mistake in the above config

  • How to use Web Dispatcher in XI

XI receives some messages and passes them onto CRM for processing. The user ID that is used between XI & CRM communication of  “Service” user type.Due to this reason, this user has consumed the dialog processes available during the process. The error seems to indicate that the load was too heavy and that the system ran out of memory blocks reserved for XI to CRM communication.  There are 2 application servers for CRM, in addition to the central instance. We can use the web-dispatcher in XI (instead of a particular Application instance).
Web dispatcher will then assign the message to the available application instance.
The question is How do we Use Web Dispatcher in XI with respect to this scenario??
Can anybody put light on this issue.

  • SOAP adapter erro 404 after second call using Web Dispatcher

    Hi XI experts.
In a  XI  SOAP sender  interface that works if I use the central port of XI.
In the productive use SAP Web Dispatcher.
If I use the Web dispatched port, after the first run the application generates the error:
    HTTP 404 - Not found
Your SAP Internet Communication Framework Team
I need some help to make the interface works through the Web Dispatcher.
The client interface was developed in .NET.
    Best Regards
    Marco Zerbini

    1. Please ensure that all nodes balanced by the web dispatcher are fully working and available.
    2. Please check the URL being called by the external service. Check if on the second call it is still using the WD's URL instead of the instance's. This might occur depending on the external service behavior when receiving a 302 MOVED http code.

  • Using web dispatcher for portal and BW access

We currently have SAP's Web Dispatcher installed in our DMZ, which links the outside world to our internal enterprise portal installation.  This configuration works fine for portal connectivity (see sapwebdisp.pfl below).  However, we have BW reports (BW report iViews and URL iViews) which are accessed via the portal.
I do not know what configuration (if any) needs to additionally be set up on the Web Dispatcher host to allow connectivity.  Currently, when accessing a BW report via the portal (coming from the Web Dispatcher) the report request is immediately terminated with an error due to a DNS lookup error (as the BW server is on our internal segment).
The Web Dispatcher is aware of both the internal portal server and BW server IP address and hostname and has the appropriate access (port/firewall) to retrieve these reports.  Further, the HTTPURLLOC table is maintained (see example below) on the BW server as recommended in SAP Note 750292 (help file = http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/59/31ae42e0fac911e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm)
However, I can't get BW reports to work remotely.  Should Is there something else that should be added to the Web Dispatcher's configuration?  Is there something that I should be doing on the iView side (ie. not hardcoding hostname / port to the query string?).  Please advise.  Thanks!

  • Siebel integration using Web Service

    Hi,
We are in the process of integrating Siebel with external systems using web service. We also use the Virtual business component with customer business service. After web service call, it return Siebel property set in format of XML, we need parse the XML (property set) to populate data into VBC fields in order to display data in user interface.
It seems that writing custom XML parsing script is not very desired as so many fields are involved in the integration object. We just wondering if there is any other better ways to populate data into VBC with out using escript since the integration object created by importing WSDL already listed all integration fields. Can data returned by Web service call directly populated the VBC fields through the integration object?
    Thanks
    Steve

Effectively what you're looking at doing here is taking your external content (from the Web Service) and then converting that into the very specific Property Set format that a VBC requires.
The EAI Data Transformation Engine is your friend here as it should let you perform the (hopefully simple) transformation between the two, although you'll also need to define the property set as an Integration Object (an External One to keep the additional envelopes created to a minimum) and then after the DTE has been called take a careful look to make sure everything is the way that it should be.
Put all these parts into a workflow itself, and use the workflow to call the external web service and that should cut to a minimum the code you'll need in the VBC.

  • Business Process Integration using Web Services

    Hi!
I'm interested to know if there are any products available today that can help a
Java developer integrate loosely coupled components into a business process. I thought
of doing this using existing Java APIs but I don't want to build all the infrastructure
myself, like translating from Java to XML and back, dealing with persistence of the
    process context, correlating messages, etc.
I looked at BEA Workshop but realized it is mainly good for creating asynchronous
web services with a callback pattern but they don't address long-lived multi-step
    business processes.
I've also posted my question on TheServerSide.com and was referred to Collaxa's Web
Service Orchestration Server which I'm going to evaluate shortly (http://www.theserverside.com/discussion/thread.jsp
    thread_id=13413)
    Thanx! Jill.

    Jill,
Collaxa offers indeed a solution that reduces the complexity of integrating multiple
synchronous and asynchronous web services into a long-lived multi-step business process.
It relies on an innovative JSP-like abstraction (called ScenarioBeans).
You can download the product and kick the tires at http://www.collaxa.com
Tibco and Web Methods also offer solutions in that space.
Finally you might be able to tweak WLI using XML events to support asynchronous Cajun
    style web services.

    Hi, Piyush.
i'm very sorry but that is all i know.
Last year i tried Web Dispatcher on XI in our project, but finally we decided not to use Web Dispatcher because we didn't have time for enough verification. Currently our XI is running on CI + 2 DIs and 3 J2EE clusters on CI.
i think you already know the following note but this is all i can do for you now.

  • Web dispatcher url Rewritting to several sap systems

    Hello SAP NW Community,
we need a reverse Proxy to achieve   application of different SAP System via Internet. We desided to use web Dispatcher.
The host names of sap systems should not be visible,  because of this we create the following URL Rewritting rules.
    For example:
    AAA, BBB and CCC are sap System SIDs;
"wdisp.company.com" is the FQDN fron webdispatcher
    The "icm_filter" Looks like this:
    if% {HTTP_HOST} RegIMatch "wdisp.company.com"[and]
    If% {PATH} RegIMatch "AAA"
    RegIRewriteUrl ^/AAA/(.*)  /$1 [noescape]
    SetHeader x-sap-webDisp-target-sid AAA [break]
the next rules are the same but for BBB and CCC.
The idea is to rewrite in background all URLs such as:
    http(s)://wdisp.company.com/AAA/...
    to :
    http(s)://<FQDN from AAA>/...
The result is always the same: the rewritting for AAA works fine but for BBB and CCC we get -http error 404.
The results are independent from web browser(IE or Firefox).
The http trace Tools- HttpWatch Basis or Firebug show also no rewritting  for BBB und CCC.
According the documentation is web Dispatcher able to support  many "stateful" and "stateless"  connection to different backend sap System.
Do you have any ideas why the rewritting works only for the first sap System?
We tested with different browser and Browser sessions but the resul was the same.
    BR,
    Rumen

    Hi,
Instead of PATH , use different pots like this, you can get the URL redirection,
    icm_filter.txt :
    if %{HTTP_HOST} regimatch wdhost.company.com*
    SetHeader x-sap-webdisp-target-sid AAA [break]
    if %{HTTP_HOST} regimatch wdhost.company.com*
    SetHeader x-sap-webdisp-target-sid BBB [break]
    if %{HTTP_HOST} regimatch wdhost.company.com*
    SetHeader x-sap-webdisp-target-sid CCC [break]
    In Instance profile :
    wdisp/system_0 = SID=AAA,MSHOST= AAA.HostNane ,MSPORT=8111
    wdisp/system_1 = SID=BBB,MSHOST= BBB.Hostname ,MSPORT=8100
    wdisp/system_2 = SID=CCC,MSHOST= CCC.Hostname ,MSPORT=8101
    URL :
http://wdhost.company.com:8111 --- goes to AAAhost and so on.
    regards

  • Web Dispatcher Versions

I currently have 2 web dispatchers that are NW 701.  All of my systems that we are looking to use web dispatcher(s) with are also NW701.  I can't seem to find a PAM entry for web dispatcher.  Is their any version requirements around web dispatcher and systems they connect to?  I saw a sme article about web dispatcher 7.2 and using it with multiple network aliases to redirect users to multiple hosts.  I.e. one webdispatcher could service both ECC and portal hosts.  I believe to do the samething in web dispatcher 701 you have to use url prefixes, or run multiple web dispatchers.
Is Web dispatcher a case where it always makes sense to get the newest version when implementing?  Or does it need to match the systems you connect to?
    Thanks, Pat

    Hi Olivier,
I aam trying to upgrade Web Dispatcher from 701 to 7.20 on Windows box. I downloaded the file "sapwebdisp_73-10007272.sar" from the marketplace. When I unpacked this SAR file it created "servicehttp" folder also I found "wdispadmin.SAR" I also unpacked this file then it created a folder called "admin". In the admin I found 4 folders called, icp, public, publicicp and publicincl.
Instead of icmadm.sar now it is only "wdispadmin.SAR".
Now I started the Web Dispatcher but the webadmin UI does not work correctly. Like I cannot put the web dispatcher in the maintenance mode, I cannot see this screen there is an error called
    "unhandled exceptions: "
    "ICP_StructValue: illegal struct reference: icm_info.uptime"
    "ICP_StructValue: illegal struct reference: icm_serv_info.aclfile"
    "ICP_StructValue: illegal struct reference: icm_user_info.locked"
    "ICP_Value: Illegal type: 7"
I checked for any related notes, I found 1484856. In the note it said
The follwoing ICP files are not delivered in wdispadmin.sar.
    - wdisp_add_system.icp
    - icpdef.inc
Therefore the ICM/Webdispatcher Admin UI does not work correctly.
When I clicked the download it takes me to the page called "NO DATA AVAILABLE".
Did you have any of this errors? Meanwhile I have opened an ticket with SAP for this.
Please let me know if you have come across this error.
    Thanks in Advance
    Ramesh.

  • Apache Server Sizing and Web Dispatcher filtering

    Hi,
We are planning to expose our intranet portal for internet user. An internet user would access it via browser (https) -> Apache - reverse proxy (outer DMZ) -> Web Dispatcher - Load Balancing (Inner DMZ) -> Portal.
We are looking for end-to-end SSL implementation.
    My questions:
1] Do we need to have load balancing at apache server for performing reverse proxy? If yes, how it would be achieved?
2] What is the hardware sizing required for Apache server on Linux box?
3] Does the portal performance is affected by end-to-end SSL implementation?
4] In load balancing using Web Dispatcher, can we forward particular request to a specific application server? Like, filter out the internet requests or forward BI related requests to a specific application server node.
    Regards,
    Sham

    Hi,
    1) Depends on your requirement. When you have 1 Apache RP and 1 SAP Web Dispatcher, you won't need load balancing of at the Apache.
    2) Depends on the number of concurrent requests you are expecting. More information on that can be found at apache.org
    3) Portal performance gets affected when using SSL and the portal is responsible for the SSL (there are product out there that do the SSL handling). How much the SSL will affect your portal depends on the number of users. But generally the impact of SSL isn't really high with recent hardware, the portal will be more occupied with the number of users, navigation, etc than with SSL
    4) You can use logon groups to assign a specific user (group) to a dedicated server

  • Web dispatcher redirects to Message Server

    Hello SDN members.
Iu2019m using web dispatcher in front of a ABAP+JAVA installation. When Iu2019m tracing (HTTP) requests from the portal that are aimed to the ABAP WAS (usually requests to the webgui service) I can see the following:
    1. the request are first directed to port 8100 (message server)
    2. and then redirected to port 8000 (its)
Is this normal? Iu2019m aware that the Web Dispatcher uses the message server for information regarding load balancing, but is this redirect necessary? If not, how can I avoid it? From what i have seen in the SAP documentation, Web Dispatcher sends the requests to the ICM directly. Maybe I am missing something here.
Thank you very much for your time.
    giorgos.

    Hello Allaine,
Thanks for your answer. It really clarifies the process. However I would like to elaborate a bit on a gray (for me) spot:
SAP suggests that you should use Web Dispatcher as an HTTP Load Balancer (especially when a portal is used) and not the Message Server. Since that is what we are trying to do, I expected not to see any u201Cactionu201D on the Message Server port (8100 - even though the Web Dispatcher uses the Message Server for information regarding available servers, I thought that this would happen in the background). My expectations are based on the Web Dispatcher documentation where it is stated that:
Unlike [HTTP Load Balancing Using the SAP Message Server|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/47/c5935087b62d66e10000000a42189c/content.htm], redirects are not executed when the SAP Web dispatcher is used. This avoids the associated disadvantages (several IP addresses must be known, book marking is not possible, authentication after changing the application server).
So, what you meant in your post is that when the message server is accessed the HTTP balancing has already taken place? Or not?
Also as stated in Note [857596|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/857596] HTTP 301 is sent by the Message Server when Load Balancing takes place. Thatu2019s why I said I want to avoid the redirection . I would like to comply with SAP directive to use the Web Dispatcher for HTTP Load Balancing and not the Message Server.
    any suggestion is valuable!
    Giorgos.

  • Web dispatcher and J2EE load balancing

I have portal DBCI on one server and DI on multiple servers. I implemented Web dispatcher in front of the DI and it does the load balancing across all DI and CI. What I want to do though is not to route any users to CI instance - ie take CI server processes out of load balancing.
In ABAP environment you could create a logon group and not put CI in the group and users coming through the logon group do not go to the CI. I would like to do the same with Portal Java processes. In help.sap.com I found that web dispatcher uses default !J2EE group if there are no groups defined - to distribute users but I can not find anyway to define a logon group for J2EE java.
Does anybody out there know how to do this - define a logon group and include only DI and not CI in that?

We are using NW 04 based EP 6 SP 16. I am looking for to use web dispatcher to distribute users on the DI servers and not distribute any users on the CI server. What can I do so that if admin user enter http://CI_server:50000/irj then they can login to the CI server if users come through webdispatcher then they are not put on the CI but go to one of the DI servers only. By default web dispatcher would send some users to CI and I don't want that.

  • Web URL Re-direction thru Web Dispatcher

Has anybody done web url re-direction using Web Dispatcher. I want to redirect URLs. Please advise what configuration I need to carry out.
    Thanks.

    Hi!
I guess your sapwebdisp is talking to the Message Server of the Portal behind it. So what you have is the following
    situation:
User connects to 'http://sapwebdispname:sapwebdispport/irj/portal' and this URL stays like that regardless
of the Portal-Server the user is actually working on.
To achieve what you outlined you will have to make the sapwebdisp answer to port 80 and the desired
hostname. Everything else should be handled in the background.
The configuration item icm/server_port_xx will have to contain the HOST Parameter
    Example:
    icm/server_port_1 = PROT=HTTP, PORT=80, TIMEOUT=45, EXTBIND=1, HOST=www.company.com
Where EXTBIND=1 is required if your OS does not allow ports  to specify that the port should not be bound to all host names (default), but only to the specified host. In this way the host with only one open port can be reached under various URLs.
In parallel you need to make sure that DNS yields the desired results for the name you want to use in the URL.

    Jörg

  • Cisco Load balancer and Web Dispatcher to the same portal

    Hello Experts,
We have implemented intranet portal with Cisco as the load balancer. Now we need to expose this intranet to the outside world as an extranet portal. So the same portal will be accessed from both intranet and from outside. We are thinking of installing a web dispatcher in the DMZ so that outside users can access the Web Dispatcher URL to access the intranet portal. In effect intranet users will use load balancer and extranet users will use Web Dispatcher to access the same portal. Now my question is if we configure Load Balancer and Web Dispatcher to the same portal, will the portal be able to load balance properly? Is this the right approach?
    Thank You,
    mansooralip1

    Dear Andrew,
We need to provide access to our intranet to some outside companies for them to also use some of our portal applications. As per your answer, I understand that I can configure Web Disptacher to talk to the Cisco Load Balancer of our portal. In this case Web Dispatcher will work just as a reverse proxy. But when I discussed this with one of our basis resource, he told me that when we install and configure Web Dispatcher, it always ask for the Message Server URL and Port number, even if I just want to use Web Dispatcher as a Reverse Proxy. If his concerns are valid, I do not think I will be able to configure Web Dispatcher to access the cisco Load Balancer because I cannot put Cisco load banacer URL and port instead of the Message Server URL and Post Number. Can you kindly share your comment on the same?
Now the second part of my question, if Web Dispatcher cannot be configured to talk to Load Balancer(as mentioned by our basis resource), I will have to use two load balancers. One web Dispatcher in DMZ as a Load Balancer *** Reverse Proxy for the external users. Second the internal Cisco Load Balancer for the intranet users. So the same portal will be accessed by two load balancers. My question here is, in this set up, can the portal work efficieintly here by distributing equal loads two both the server instances?
    Thank You,
    mansooralip1
