Error in executing Custom BAPI in portal

Hi All
I have created a custom portal application which executes the
bapi "Bapi_Book_Attendance". While executing the bapi it gives
following error message.
"Screen output without connection to user."
While executing same bapi from backend with same parameter it is
working fine.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Priyanka,
After a lot of debugging we found out that there is a setting in SPRO that need to be maintained. Check the below if it suffices your requirement.
SPRO --> TRAINING AND EVENT MANAGEMENT ---> BASIC SETTING --> TOOLS --> TRANSPORT --> SET UP TRANSPORT CONNECTION
When you execute this you get a system switch table T77S0. Here maintain given below.
TRSP CORR X Transport Switch (X = No Transport)
Then try to run your application in frontend.

Finally i use Default Desktop Portal instead of Light Desktop Portal because his limitation, and now I can
see my iView (it a Visual Composer iView) always for anonymous user (here "Guest"). My problem is in my
iView I have some drop down lists filled dynamically with the java web services. In fact, it seems these web
services don't work with anonymous user, only with authenticated user.
From portal System Administration / System configuration, I added to alias of the web
service a permission for 'Guest' user ("Administrator" = "Read", "End User" = "checked") and in System
administration / Permissions / Security Zones / sap.com / Netweaver.Portal / low_safety /
com.sap.portal.systems.webservices / components / webservice_system, I added also permission
for 'Guest' user ("Administrator" = "Read", "End User" = "checked"). My web sefvices don't have authentication polycies and in his property the Logon Method = "NONE".
With these modifications, the web services don't work always. Is it possible anonymous users cannot access to back-end system through iViews ?

Timed Out error while executing BI report in Portal

Hi Experts,
When we are trying to execute a BI report which returns over 9 lac records, it is taking lot of time to get executed and then its throwing the timed out error.
Can anyone help me resolving the issue?
Is this a problem with the performance of Portal server or its just due to the huge amount of records that are being retrieved?

Objects_objref_not_assigned - error ( while executing the bapi) - urgent

i designed a bapi which is internally calling a transaction (i.e. TRIP ), and returning the status.
when i call this in back end(abap) side it is giving the desired results correctly. but when i call the bapi from the front end side , i am getting the error : objects_objref_not_assigned.
what could be the reasons.
for your information : we have provided the correct user name and password to execute this tcode.

Error when executing Custom ASR_PROCESS_EXECUTE WD application for HCm F&P

Hi all,
I have created a custom program of HRASR00_PROCESS_EXECUTE and do some changes in the SELECT_PROCESSES method to refine the Process as per our requirement and create a application for ASR_PROCESS_EXECUTE Window.
I have integrated this application with HAP_MAIN_DOCUMENT in the Component controller method Status_change. I have implemented a code to open the custom WD application in a External window from MSS Portal.
In this external window the screen (Employee selection screen > Process selection > form display) is coming as per my requirement.
All the functionality is working fine by yesterday. But when I tested the application again today then the Initial Employee selection screen was not coming and directly Select Process screen will be coming.
I don't do any changes in my custom application or any other related WD Component But I don't found any reason for this issue.
Can anyone suggest me why I am facing this issue. It will be very helpful for me.

There is the value in the handledefault method of the window PROCESS_EXECUTE memory ID. It will use there to get the Employee no & name. i have just clear the Memory ID & employee data.

Error while executing customer Exit Variable (No value could be determined for variable. BRAIN 632)

I created a customer exit variable which has to show the range between the first and last day of the previous month. The query will be executed every first of the month.
Variable is declared as: Customer exit, based on 0CALDAY, Interval, Mandatory and NOT input.
When i debug the query, it is making the calculation but its not populating my variable; when I execute the query from RSRT, the output test shows a message:

Can we execute an SAP Standard ABAP Programme from a Custom BAPI?

Hi,
We have a requirement in our project where in we have to execute an SAP Standard ABAP report. We need to execute it from a Portal by click of a button.
What we are thinking is that if we have a custom BAPI which triggers the execution of ABAP report, we can execute the BAPI from the Portal using Adaptive RFC Function call by developing a custom Web Dynpro Java application.
So, my question is it possible to execute an ABAP report making sending required input parameters to the ABAP report from the BAPI. If so, how can we achieve this?

Thanks for your quick response. Actually, it is not exactly a report. We are trying to call an SAP Program related to SAP Business Workflow.
When the user clicks on Approve or Reject buttons on the SAP GUI, this program will be called and exectured which inturn updates many Project System Tables.
What we are trying to do is that we had developed a custom Web Dynpro Java Application for achieving the SAP Workflow. Instead of reinventing the wheel, we just want to use already existing SAP Program which updates the Project Systems tables.
So, from the Portal Workflow Inbox when the user clicks on the Approve or Reject buttons, we would like to call a custom BAPI which will execute this program.
Could you please explain in detail how to achieve this? Thanks in advance.

Error while executing WAD template and publishing it to Portal

I get an error message when i try to execute WAD template and publish in portal

Error while loading query metadata
check the query and portal settings
RSBOL 018 Java system error:Exception in method process Function.
//end of error messagge
But when i click "ok" then the template gets executed and published in portal
I want to know why is this error message getting displayed.
BW is at SP14 level (template is created in BI 7.0)
EP is at SP13 level.
Is there any compatibility issue between BW and EP.If so, please let me know.

actually it the scenario is some this like this i have created an WAD with email as an button up on click on the button it will execute the BI Broad Casting Functionality
He have published the template on to portal, the template is executing fine in Enterprise portal but upon button click we are perfectly invoking the broadcasting functionality but i am unable to send mail when i am click on Execute button.
The functionality is working fine from BW system .please help me out in resolving the issue.

Portal Run time error after deploying custom logon page par file in portal

Hi Experts,
We have customized the standard portal logon par file for client XYZ and imported it with the same name (com.sap.portal.runtime.logon.par) in portal.
It is working fine for XYZ . And another client ABC wants the same customization for them also. So we took the par file from XYZ and imported it in ABC system. But in ABC system, we are getting Portal Run time Error. When we checked the logs, it is showing error in LogonBean class.Wwe have included the necesary jar files. Could anyone help us in identifying what is missing?

Execute custom SQL in DB Adpater errors out in Production - urgent please.

Hi,
I get this error when running the process in PROD at invoking delete operation that I'm doing by selecting the execute custom SQL option while defining the DB adapter. It worked fine in TEST environment but errors out in PROD env.
Any suggestions on why? Its urgent.

The Pure SQL option is for border use cases only and provides simple yet minimal functionality. Possibly try the "Perform an operation on a table" option instead.

Looks like in production you have much more data than you do in your test environments.
It could be something wrong with your rollback segments. Is there any other activity happening when this is running?
What happens when you run this command inside SQLPlus?
