Error in expdp - single schema

Hi,
We are exporting single schema using expdp command and getting following error while export in been taken:

but it is really strange that how compile time errors effect the overall export and import operation... ideailly it should deploy object as it is...
any other suggestion except to fix code? jst wondering what to do in situation where DBA's are not allowed to touch source codes..

Kindly give a suggetion for single schema import from full export dump.

Hi,
Don't forget to include the parameter SCHEMAS - which provides the details, wher as remap_schema - suffice the details for remapping instead of importing to current schema which you are connected with respect to current session.

I tried running expdp multiple times every time I will get out of memeory error along with different oracle errors, but the common error is out of memory ora -04030.
In above case I got this error along with ORA-39125 and sometimes I will get with
ORA-39014: One or more workers have prematurely exited.
ORA-39029: worker 1 with process name "DW01" prematurely terminated
ORA-31671
I searched forums and found lot options but not for expdp utility.
Can some one please help in resolving this issue.

Expdp with schemas containing special charecters

Hi!
Need to export a schema which name contains the character "-".
When using expdp with parameter schemas="Test1-test2" this error comes:
ORA-39039: Schema expression "IN ('Test1')" contains no valid schemas.
How do I escape the "-".

500 internal server error for only single user

Hi Experts,
Pls help me that
I am getting the problem of 500 Internal server error for a single user .
Except that user remaining users are not getting this error, They are working fine
i.e it is ESS & MSS Package all other application working fine , this iview came from Webdynpro .

Error while Registering XML Schema

Hi Team,
The mail purpose of my project is to load data from XML feed file into Oracle tables. I did following steps which went perfectly fine ...
I did following steps.
1)create DIRECTORY xml_dir as 'c:\xmldata';
2) create table xmltab of XMLType;
3) Following packages are executed through "Sys" Schema
1)dbmslob.sql;
2)prvtlob.plb;
4) An xmldata folder is created under "c:\" and file with data_file.xml is stored in it.
5) insert into xmltab values(XMLType(bfilename('XML_DIR ','data_file.xml'), nls_charset_id('AL32UTF8')));
When I try to execute following select statment "No Rows Selected" message is displayed; although there is one element in xml data file.

Now I think in order to use all functions like existsNode and exctractValue I will have to register Schema in DB.

Error in executing authorization scheme code

I run my application on APEX.ORACLE.COm and I immediatly get the following error:

Error ERR-1082 Error in executing authorization scheme code.

The application s/b public . I am not able to identify the invalid authorization scheme. I checked all the authorization schemes in the Shared Components > Security > Authorization Schemes and can't find the culprit.

Your Authorization Scheme "Access control - administrator" has this line of code that uses a table that isn't there (or RGTEST has no access to):

from apex_adm.apex_access_setup
This Authorization Scheme is used in the Admin tab.
If you run the page in debug mode you'll see (amongst a lot of other stuff):
0.19: Authorization Check: "11204012643155257465" User: "nobody" Component: "tab"
0.20: Show ERROR page...
That pointed me to the Tab section...and there it was!

Problems publishing a web-access on Sharepoint: Error when modifying list schemes

Good afternoon.
I have an application built with an access database with several forms and web macros which is published on Sharepoint 2010. Through this application - not too big not too complex (ca. 10 tables / less than 2000 records at most) - I receive updates
that are loaded into external applications, mainly excel worksheets, ms project files and so on.
I have been going through the cycle of developing and publishing new versions of the application on the same site for more than a year; suddenly, from severeal weeks ago on, I started receiving the following error affecting random tables (not always the
same) which crashes the compilation and publishing:
"Error when modifying lists schemes. Changing name to "ID" field on list XXXX failed"
And each time the list is different. And of course I am no trying at all to change the name of any ID field !????

How to import a single schema into multiple target schema?

Hi,
I want to import a schema named sd from my source database to my target database in schema sd1 and sd2.
I have tried using the following impdp parameter which is throwing error :-
impdp system/system schemas=sd remap_schema=sd:sd1,sd:sd2 directory=backup dumpfile=8.12.13.dmp logfile=8.12.13.log
Please help me.

If you look up the syntax in the docs, you will see that while you can remap many schemas into one, you cannot remap one schema into many.

Catching an error on a single line

Is there a way to catch an error on a single line in a VBS script? From what I understand the "On Error Resume Next" will apply to all lines in a procedure.

unfortunaly there is no way in VBS like the On Error Goto xxx in VB/VBA. You have to encapsulate the crtitcal lines with a On Error Resume Next/On Error Goto 0 pair and find an error with if Err.Number <> 0 then after every line and handle it e.g. with a Exit Sub call.

i have a different problem in apex....
I am using below function to authenticate the apex users after SSO login. I have created authentication schemes for admin and users separately depending on that users will have access to the specific tabs.
Now users are facing below error
ORA-01403: no data found Error ERR-1082 Error in executing authorization scheme code.
while they log in or submit the page. And the weired thing is randomly they are getting this error. 2 or 3 times in a week. and when i compile the authentication function that error will be resolved.

Hi,
i imported my application from test to prod environment
when run application i received the error (on login page)

Thank you for the quick reply.
What I did was to install APEX 3.1 to 11g db, and installed packaged application which called Software Management. It is working fine to log into the application and other operations, but I got the same error which reported on this thread once I applied the existing authorization schemes. So I thought if I missed to import the apex_access_setup and apex_access_control tables. I am looking for the solution to enable the default authorizations...
I would appreciate if you could give me any suggestions.

Single schema or multiple schemas

A few years ago I worked on a greenfield project where we were building a system to serve 20 or so different departments with 1200+ users. The approach the existing DBA had taken was to use a single schema for all objects and for all apps. The big advantage I found with this approach was for development, we could have one database and each developer could develop whatever they wanted in their own schema. Name resolution meant that they could override the main copy of whichever object they were working on just by having it in their schema. Unfortunately the project went nowhere and I left after 3 months so I never got to see what issues were raised with the system in production. So I'm wondering, has anyone else taken this approach and if so what would you say are the main things to be wary of? Especially things that aren't a problem when the objects are distributed between multiple schemas.

If you scale this up to 000s of tables and 30 odd schemas, it's a bit of a nightmare from the perspective of code location and permissions because each department needs to look across schemas to get all of the data to do their job. Effectively tables and code had become segregated into separate schemas by business "function" and it means that the applicaitons are so intertwined with the different schemas that to have more than one business unit means you either need a completely separate database or you have to look at VPD.

...The advantage I saw with a single schema for all the data for a single business unit is the one you have mentioned - i.e. you can very easily set up a new business unit that is totally separate from the other by having a new schema and point the same version of the same application at it. Or failing that, using VPD. And on top of that, security is simplified - no needing direct grants from one schema to the other and especially not requiring WITH GRANT OPTION in the case of a view that pulls data from various schemas and rights to select from the view have to be grated to a role.

...The other big advantage I saw was from a development and testing perspective. You can have one testing database supporting lots of developers working on lots of different projects against the same core data set and code. The multiple schema setup I described above means that effectively you need to have one testing database per project - which becomes unmanageable when databases start growing to the TB range.

Saw a typo in my first exampleOK, now it is a lot more clear.
What you have here is a problem of some data (employee) being enterprise data, and other data being application data.
I take it your "invoiceing" app is used by the sales side of the business, and "ordering" is used by the purchasing side (my last assignment when I was an apps analyst was the purchasing/inventory control for an auto manufacturer).
With what I know at this point, I'd have an HR schema, an INVOICING schema, and an ORDERING schema. (Well actually, I'd have SALES and PURCHASING, because INVOICEING and ORDERING are going to have to integrate with other stuff in those areas). Even though invoicing and ordering both have a CONTRACT table, I'd think the properties of a contract for one would be different than the other, so the table design itself would be different. How about tables SALES_CONTRACT and PURCHASING_CONTRACT. Same concept for ORDERS, and both sales and purchasing would need header and details .... SALES_ORDER_HEADER, SALES_ORDER_DETAIL, PURCH_ORDER_HEADER, PURCH_ORDER_DETAIL.
These two apps need for employee data should be pulled directly from the HR emp table, with access limited to stored procedures that control what data is exposed. Or from materialized views. Never try to maintain the same data in two places at once. It will never maintain consistency.
