Error in giving variable in ora:readFile() Xpath function

Hi,
I have a requirement like i need to give a variable name in ora:readFile() Xpath function. Below is the method in which i am trying. but i am getting error
ora:readFile('file:////home/casdevro/tbm/archive/bpws:getVariableData('inputFile')')
Error iam getting while compiling is:
Error(80):
[Error ORABPEL-10039]: invalid xpath expression
[Description]: in line 80 of "C:\Softwares\JDev10.1.3.4\jdevstudio10134\jdev\mywork\Test\bpel\Test.bpel", xpath expression "ora:readFile('file:////home/casdevro/tbm/archive/bpws:getVariableData('inputFile')')" specified in <from> is not valid, because XPath query syntax error.
Syntax error while parsing xpath expression "ora:readFile('file:////home/casdevro/tbm/archive/bpws:getVariableData('inputFile')')", at position "71" the exception is Expected: ).
Please verify the xpath query "ora:readFile('file:////home/casdevro/tbm/archive/bpws:getVariableData('inputFile')')" which is defined in BPEL process.
[Potential fix]: Please make sure the expression is valid.
Am i missing anything. Please guide me
Thanks in advance.

Try this. And I guess one forward slash after "file:" suffices.
ora:readFile(concat('file:/home/casdevro/tbm/archive/', bpws:getVariableData('inputFile')'))

  • Ora:processXSLT xpath function and absolute paths

    It looks like ora:processXSLT xpath function does not honor absolute paths when specifying the location of the xslt to use in the first parameter. For example, if I call it like this:
    <copy>
    <from expression="ora:processXSLT('/u01/transforms/mytransform.xsl',bpws:getVariableData('xslInput','payload'))"/>
    <to variable="xslOutput"/>
    </copy>
    I get the following error in the bpel logs:
    Error while processing xpath expression, the expression is "ora:processXSLT('/u01/transforms/mytransform.xsl', bpws:getVariableData("xslInput", "payload"))", the reason is javax.xml.transform.TransformerException: java.io.FileNotFoundException: /u01/oracle/bpel/integration/orabpel/domains/test/tmp/.bpel_transformTest_1.0.jar/u01/transforms/mytransform.xsl (No such file or directory).
    Please verify the xpath query.
    It is assuming that the xsl will be relative to the bpel suitcase and just appending the supplied path to the relative path for the bpel process. Why would I want to do this? Well, I have hundreds of these maps and I want to be able to select one at runtime. I'm also adding new ones every day and I don't want to have to redeploy the process that uses them each time I add a new map. Is there any way to force this process to recognize the absolute path? I can work around it for now by using a bunch of ../../../../ stuff but that's a kludge and I'd like to find a better way to do it.
    I get the same error with xdk:processXSLT.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks!
    Sean

    Hi Sean,
    Did you try to the file path with the file:// prefix and not just the path?

  • Error using custom xpath function with XSL transformations in BPM

    Hi,
    We have created a custom xpath function for use with SOA Suite and BPM. This has been built as per specified within the http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E29597_01/dev.1111/e10224/bp_appx_functs.htm#SOASE11100. We have also reviewed the Oracle Sample for mapper-107-ExtensionFunctions (sample demonstrates the use of user-defined extension functions). This has been registered with jDeveloper and SOA within the oracle.soa.ext_11.1.1 (run ant to include in oracle.soa.ext.jar)
    We ideally want to use this is BPM within an xsl. However when consuming this function is either BPEL or BPM using an xsl, the xsl fails with an error such as:
    XPath expression failed to execute. An error occurs while processing the XPath expression; the expression is ora:doXSLTransformForDoc("xsl/Transformation_1.xsl", $inputVariable.payload). The XPath expression failed to execute; the reason was: javax.xml.transform.TransformerException: oramds:/deployed-composites/default/gwCustomXpathUtil_rev1.0/xsl/Transformation_1.xsl<Line 9, Column 113>: XML-22043: (Error) Extension function error: Method not found 'getWeekDayDate'. Check the detailed root cause described in the exception message text and verify that the XPath query is correct.
    In an Assign it operates fine and returns the expected result. We have included a combination of both of the Config files (ext-mapper-xpath-functions-config.xml and ext-soa-xpath-functions-config.xml) in the META-INF folder, however neither allow the use of this function in the XSL.
    I believe there may be an issue getting the custom xpath functions within XSL files. Hence I have also raised an SR. Has anyone experiences of this?
    Our SOA / BPM suite environment is using 11.1.1.6.4 and has the following patches applied:
    13801175
    14406487 (11.1.1.6.4 SOA Bundle)

  • Ora:getFaultAsString() xpath extension

    Hi all,
    I found several posts on implementing ora:getFaultAsString() xpath extension in the CatchAll segment of BPEL processes. What I have not seen is how to make this fault friendly. Is there a way we can define a fault type and assign that error to that type and be able to access different parts of that fault (ie - message, summary, name, description, etc)?
    Thanks,
    Mike Guthrie

    It is my understanding that this is used to catch all the other errors that are not part of the delivered errors. e.g. if you want to catch a remote fault you get the part using the following:
    <catch faultName="bpelx:remoteFault" faultVariable="varName">
    Unfortunately catchAll doesn't allow you to specify faultVariable as it can't guarantee what the message format will be. In some circumstances the detail and code is not part of the payload.
    The option is to handle every system error as an individual catch routine, or use the catchAll and not mange the part.
    cheers

  • Null check for "ora:readFile()" function

    Hi,
    I want to check whether a particular file is present in a given folder in our local server.In case of success scenario the "ora:readFile()" function is working fine but if the file is not present in the same folder then,this function is getting failed with system exception ,reason:-message can't be null.
    Can't we add a null check for this and continue the flow further?
    Regards,
    N.Das

    Hi,
    You should first try list operation in file adapter to check for the file then use the readfile() conditionally if file is found.
    Try the function to mention the path as
    ora:readFile(concat('file:',bpws:getVariableData('Invoke1_FileListing_OutputVariable','filelist','/ns1:filelist/ns1:file/ns1:directory'),'/',bpws:getVariableData('Invoke1_FileListing_OutputVariable','filelist','/ns1:filelist/ns1:file[1]/ns1:filename'))).
    This will get you the content in base64encoded format. You can then decode it to get the text format data.
    Thanks,
    Durga

    ORA-20123 is a localized/customized error code & message; therefore any solution depends upon what is unique inside your DB now.
    I suspect that some sort of TRIGGER exists, which throws posted error, but this is just idle speculation on my part.

    Hi all,
    Can anyone help with the following error that i am getting while executing a query
    ERROR BRAIN (738): Variable 0P_KEYDT not in query

    Make sure you still have the variable in the query. You did not delete it by mistake. Error is it self says that it can not find that 0P_KEYDT in the query. YOu can also try removing and adding it again.
    Sometimes the order of making variable matters when you have dependency.

    Hi,
    It sounds like you (the procedure owner) have privileges on that table only through a role.
    Roles don't count in stored procedures created with AUTHID OWNER (which is the default).
    Either
    (1) Have user SAPSR3 grant the necessary privileges directly to you (or to PUBLIC), or
    (2) change the procedure so that it runs with the caller's privileges, by adding AUTHID CURRENT_USER after the argument list but before the keyword IS (os AS) like this:
    CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE     foo
    (     x     IN     NUMBER
    AUTHID CURRENT_USER
    IS ...
