  • Error in importing Configuration objects of PI 7.0 to PI 7.1

    Hi All,
    My server is upgraded from PI 7.0 to PI 7.1.
    I am getting Error while  importing Configuration objects of PI 7.0 to PI 7.1 now.
    Pls see the below error
    Attempt to access the 1 requested objects on 1 failed. Detailed information:  com.sap.aii.ib.core.roa.RoaObjectAccessException: Attempt to read object Adapter Metadata Mail | http://sap.com/xi/XI/System, type AdapterMetaData from application REPOSITORY on system REPOSITORY failed. Object does not exist. Detailed informatio n: Software component version with key ID: b38bcd00e47111d7afacde420a1145a5 not found
    Pls suggest

    Hi,
    It seems that adapter metadata has not been loaded into integration repository and because of that when you are trying to import configuration objects in ID then you are getting the error.
    The SAP adapter metadata objects are located under the namespace http://sap.com/xi/XI/System of software component SAP BASIS.
    What you can do is, if you have installation dvd's then you can copy from their or you can simply [_DOWNLOAD_|https://websmp205.sap-ag.de/~form/handler?_APP=00200682500000001943&_EVENT=SEARCH&HIDE=&SEARCH_SPAT=X&SEARCH_BPAT=X&SEARCH_CD=X&SEARCH_P=X&SEARCH_PV=X&SEARCH_C=X&SEARCH_CV=X&SEARCH_TA=&SEARCH_V=&HIDE_EXPERT_SEARCH=X&SEARCH_MAX_RESULT=20 ] from sap market place (refer this [thread|how to import Adapter metadata;) (you must have S-user id for this) and then after you need to do as mentioned below...
    1. First unzip the file (if it is zipped) and then put it in the import directory: \usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\global\xi\repository_server\import\
    2. Now login to IR and then from menu TOOLS ---> Import design objects and import it.
    3. After that in ID, Environment ---> Clear SLD Data Cache
    4. Now you can try to import configuration objects...

  • Problem when importing SLD objects

    HI,
    I am trying to export and import SLD objects from Dev to Prod. For that I have studied weblogs and following the below procedure:
    to transfer SLD objects:
    Export the Business system in SLD of DEV server
    Select the Business system and click export button, then download file and saving to a local machine.
    and importing
    go to adminstration - > import the file
    now while importing the file on the production server, it is displaying " The target namespace of special import has already one or more data, import may corrupt the data". Below that two buttons Cancel import and Import anyway.
    what to do at this stage?? shall I import in this way??
    Please suggest me how to proceed....
    thanks in advance,

    Hi Satish,
    Have you already defined a business system with the same namespace in the Prod SLD??

  • Format Error : mkfs.ocfs2 1.2.7 file system too small for a journal

    Hi All,
    I am trying to implement Oracle 10g RAC on my laptop using vmware and openfiler software . But while executing the command
    #mkfs.ocfs2 -b 4K -C 32K -N 4 -L oracrsfiles /dev/iscsi/crs11/part1
    I am getting the error
    Format Error : mkfs.ocfs2 1.2.7 file system too small for a journal
    Please anybody can help me to resolve this problem.
    Thanks in Advance.

    How large is the device that you are formatting?
    The default journal size depends on the type specified. If none specified,
    then it assumes "mail" which sets the default journal per slot to 256M.
    If database type, default is 64M.
    Use "-T database" to specify database type, etc.
    BTW, one can always override the defaults. Say "-J size=16M" to make
    a smaller journal.
    man mkfs.ocfs2 and the user's guide has more.

  • Copy & paste embeded object to file system

    Cross-post at:
    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/27685791/copy-paste-embeded-object-to-file-system
    Background:
    I wrote a large piece of VBA code in an Excel workbook to help handle a lot of repeating jobs. I found it is painful to maintain and modify the code by using the "pool" VBA Editor. Then, I decided to move those VBA code to C# solutions, which I
    suppose I can benefit from the modern editor - Visual Studio.
    Problem:
    Although I don't know too much about VBA, I know even less about C#. Hence I got some problem when I try to "translate" my VBA code to C#, and here is one of them:
    I create a document-level solution for Excel. I need to embed some files (.cab, .exe) into the solution, so when I run a method (e.g. by clicking a button), those files will be copied to the file system, and do some job.
    In VBA, I embedded those files in the Excel workbook, then I can copy the embedded objects to the clipboard by using the following VBA code:
    Sheet1.OLEObjects("obj_cab").COpy
    And then I can paste the object to the file system by using the following VBA code:
    CreateObject("Shell.Application").Namespace("C:\Sample\").Self.InvokeVerb "Paste"
    In the C# solution, I can use the following equivalent method to copy the embedded object to the clipboard:
    Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.OLEObject OLEobj = (Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.OLEObject)sheet1.OLEObjects("obj_cab");
    OLEobj.Copy();
    Then I stuck here, I don't know how to get this object from clipboard and put it to the file system. The 'CreateObject' method does not exist in C#.
    Anyone can help? Either a better way to embed those files or a working way to paste those objects (files) from clipboard to the file system?
    Thanks a lot!

    Hi FantaC,
    It's possible to save the oleobject to the disk. But it's not very simple. Because when you call the Copy method of OLEObject to clipboard, it's actually not the exact the oleobject file itself, it's actually a wrapper of the file, it means that it has different
    file headers and some other information from the original oleobject file.
    To save oleobject on the disk, you need to analyze the byte array by yourself, this would be a little complicated. You could check the answer in this thread for the code sample:

  • "An error occurred creating the application.Check file system permission"

    Hi There ,
    I am facing a problem in creating a webcenter portal webapplication.
    I have followed the steps given in Help topics of Jdeveloper, but after performing all the steps i am getting this error
    "An error occurred creating the application.Check file system permission". Kindly help me to get through this error.
    Regards
    Vivek

    Hi Vivek,
    I hope this is the problem with permission.you Don't have Admin permission to access those folder.
    my Suggestion is
    1.use Administrator account(on windows) for develop applications(its give full access to the folder from your system). or
    2 open your JDeveloper as Administrator. (just right click on JDeveloper from you shortcuts or from programs run as Administrator)
    I hope this will be helpful.

  • Importing BW objects via XML

    Hi,
    CRM 7.0 comes with Data Warehousing workbench. I need to make some reports in CRM which are already present in BW system. The idea is to make cubes in CRM and load from BW and make reports in CRM system.
    I am planning to import the objects (characteristics, key figures, cube etc) via XML import in transport connection.
    I would like to know the limitations of it. Is there any restriction on file size?
    Regards,
    Gaurav

    Hi Dirk,
    thank you for your fast reply!
    I'll check the possibility of using BAPIs.
    The advantage of the approach with exporting, editing and re-importing xml metadata definitions is that I just have to rename the objects in the xml file, which should be a matter of a few hours. But what to do with tags like
    <XMISAPBI:com.sap.bw.cwm.core.InfoObject.descriptionLong xmi.idref="com.sap.bw.cwm.core.Description::81DD390D55F1A048AC444F945"/>
    where the GUID refers to the description later in the xml file. Can I just create my own GUID?
    Some more background information: my first idea was to use the xml export as a helper for automated documentation. And then I thought, why don't develop a small two way tool, which can comfortably create or edit a metadata xml file.
    Kind regards,
    Martin

  • Error while importing a container dump file

    Hi,
    I am trying to import a container from one Oracle Server to another server which are located at two different locations. I have exported the container from the first server and FTPed it to the second server and tried to import the same into the second server. While doing this, i got the following message:

    Import terminated successfully with warnings.
    I am able to import the same dump file into another server located in the same location as the Server One without any issues.
    One thing that i have observed is: On the Server 2, if a container is already present and the XTSYS_ tables are already populated, when i tried to import this dump file, it asked me "Temporary tables are already populated. Do you want to overwrite them. Otherwise the existing temporaty tables will be used for this purpose". If i clicked No, then it imported the container without any problems, BUT, the new container contents are not the same as found on Server 1's container contents.
    Can somebody suggest what could be the problem and how can i import that dump file.
    thanks a lot in advance
    regards,
    Vijay

    Vijay,
    There is a note <Note:160378.1> on the Oracle Support site: http://metalink.oracle.com.
    There are a number of possibilities, the most likely of these is that you are using the wrong import/export utilities for an older or newer database version.
    You don't mention which release of Designer you are using, Designer 9i uses the 9.0.1 export/import utilities by default. You cannot use the 9.0.1 export/import utilities against an 8.1.7 database.
    If not already installed, install the 8.1.7 export/import utilities from the Oracle 8i Release 3 (8.1.7) Client Cd into a new Oracle Home.
    In the Registry, change [hklm]\software\oracle\HOMEx\repos61\EXECUTE_EXPORT
    and EXECUTE_IMPORT to point to the 8.1.7 export/import utitilites.
    (HOMEx corresponds to your Designer 9i Oracle Home)
    A typical value for them would be:
    EXECUTE_EXPORT=d:\des_817\bin\exp.exe
    EXECUTE_IMPORT=d:\des_817\bin\imp.exe
    or
    EXECUTE_EXPORT=d:\V817\bin\exp.exe
    EXECUTE_IMPORT=d:\V817\bin\imp.exe
    After changing the parameters in the Registry, verify if they are active by going into the Repository Administration Utility, Check Requirements,
    Parameter Settings and look for EXECUTE_EXPORT and EXECUTE_IMPORT.

    Hi saran,
    Check the source system connectivity of the Quality system. Also check whether you have transported the datasources related to those objects that you transported from DEV to QAS.
    First you need to transport the Datasources created in R/3 and then replicate them in QAS/Prod and then transport the objects in BW from DEV to QAS/Prod.
    Check all these things and if still the problem persists... Refer to the below threads which may help u...

  • Error: Failed To Read Phone's File System

    I'm using PC Suite 7.0.8.2 on XP SP3 connected to a Nokia 6300.
    I keep getting an error message when I click on Nokia Video Manager. The message states "Failed to read phone's file system. Internal error occurred". Video manager then hangs. I see it in the XP task bar but no window ever appears.
    I've tried connecting the phone via Bluetooth and USB with the same message.
    With no phone connected I should still be able to use Video Manager to convert videos and store them on my PC, but it still hangs (without the phone file system error message), so it looks like perhaps more of an issue with Video Manager than with my phone. It was working a few days ago.
    I've tried running the PC Suite installer and selecting the repair option, but that didn't help.
    Not sure what to try next. I did a search on the error message phrase in these forums but nothing turned up.
    Any ideas or suggestions?

    I have messed around and found some sort of solution.
    What seemed to be happening was the phone was creating conflicting folders on the memory card. When anew video was created the phone created a folder named video clips and stored the new video in there.
    So what I did was move all videos out of the Videos and video clips folders so that they were just on the memory card when you open it, then delete the folder named videos leaving the other video clips.
    Now when you go to video manager it can read the videos.
    However you may still get the error message but at least you can now transfer stuff.
