  • Using J2EE agent with Portal 7

    Hello!
    I'm trying to use a J2EE policy agent 2.2 for Application server 8.2 with portal, protecting /portal URL. However, after it prompts me to log in, the policies are not enforced. It works with the agentapp, but not with Portal when the AMagent filter is introduced.
    Does anyone know why portal application ignores policies in access manager or where to get the documentation on how to properly troubleshoot this?
    Thanks
    -Max

    Ok, its true.
    My intention is to confirm if is possible install a Java instance in the same server that ECC is running with Abap instance.
    My confusion is because note 1007341, in "deviations" part, says:
    ECC 5.0 (ERP 2004 back-end system),
    XSS 500 on a separate J2EE 6.40, EP NW04s
    with business packages ESS and MSS (SAP ERP 2004).
    The SAP system only supports this system landscape
    if you have installed XSS 500 on a separate J2EE 6.40.
    Then, would I install abap stack, and java stack as separate instances (not add-in!) ? and this landscape is supported acordding this note?
    (in the example, A and C are in the same server)
    thanks in advance!

    That appears to be a bug in the console. You might try the command-line tool java weblogic.Deployer for deploying apps. java weblogic.Deployer -examples will give detailed usage info.

  • Integration of J2EE application with weblogic portal

    Hi guys,
    I have an application hosted on an iplanet web server. This application uses servlet 2.2, jsp 1.1 of J2EE platform.
    And I have a microsoft application running on .NET platform.
    I want integrate above 2 applications into webloigc 8.1 portal. What are the different ways in which i can do this and where can i find specific material on this.
    advance thanks for your help
    gopaluni

    Basically I am saying that your options are
    1. Screenscraping the apps into portlets
    2. Using SSO to login to the apps, but keepin them separate
    3. Using Web Services to consume parts of the apps and exposing those as portlets
    For our application we do 2 and 3. In many cases we just create portlets that represents views into other j2ee apps. When the users click on something, we launch the j2ee app in a popup browser. The users are already signed on, and taken to a specific detail page, add page or something within the app directly.
    Hope this helps.

  • AM 7.1 patch1 + GlassFish 9.1_02 + J2EE Agent authentication problem

    I've AM 7.1 running on SJS AS 9.1_02 on one host, and I want to protect a portal application also running on SJS AS 9.1_02, but on a different host.
    I did have any problem/error when installing the J2EE agent
    I can authenticate with any user to my user realm in AM, I think it's well configured but I try to connect to my portal, I get the following error in the browser:
    javax.servlet.ServletException: PWC1243: Filter execution threw an exception
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError
    The agent log file doesn't have anything special
    The application server server.log file contains the following error:
    [#|2008-08-22T17:07:10.892+0200|SEVERE|sun-appserver9.1|javax.enterprise.system.container.web|_ThreadID=16;_ThreadName=httpSSLWorkerThread-8080-1;_RequestID=7

    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError
    at com.sun.identity.agents.filter.URLPolicyTaskHandler.initialize(URLPolicyTaskHandler.java:63)
    I've checked the application server CLASSPATH, and it looks fine since it contains, among others, the agent.jar file .
    So, I don't understand where's the problem. Any idea ?

    No direct solution found.
    The ClassNotFound exception actually seemed to be a side effect rather than the real origin of the problem.
    I found a workaround by uninstalling the whole J2EE agent software and using instead an embedded feature
    of the application to protect, enabling some kind of OpenSSO client module.

  • Runtime error while using SAP Enterprise Connector in a J2EE Web Servlet

    Hello,
    I'm facing problems while trying to do a RFC call out of a Servlet.
    I'm using Development Components (DCs) and my project setup is as follows:
    Firstly I've created a DC of type J2EE/Web Module. This DC implements an absolutly simple servlet which has to do the RFC-Call.
    The relevant code is:
    protected void doGet(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response) throws ServletException, IOException {
       JCO.Client jcoclient = JCO.createClient("010", "DV*****", "***", "DE", "ovd***", "01");
       jcoclient.connect();
       Bapi_Flight_Getlist_Input input = new Bapi_Flight_Getlist_Input();
       input.setAirline("LH");
       SAPProxies_PortType myproxy = new SAPProxies_PortType();
       myproxy.messageSpecifier.setJcoClient(jcoclient);
       try {
          Bapi_Flight_Getlist_Output output = myproxy.bapi_Flight_Getlist(input);
          BapisfldatType_List list = output.get_as_listFlight_List();
          int listsize = list.size();
          for (int i = 0; i < listsize; i++) {
             BapisfldatType elem = list.getBapisfldatType(i);
             response.getWriter().print("Date: " + elem.getArrdate() + '\t' + "Arrive: " + elem.getArrtime());
       } catch (Exception e) {
          response.getWriter().print(e.toString());
       jcoclient.disconnect();
    The proxy for the RFC Module "BAPI_FLIGHT_GETLIST" - in this case the classes around "SAPProxies_PortType" were generated by NWDS ("SAP Enterprise Connector" Wizard).
    I had to manually add following DCs as "Used DCs" to get my DC built:
    com.sap.aii.proxy.framework (default)
    com.sap.aii.util.misc (default)
    com.sap.mw.jco (default)
    So far, so good...
    As a J2EE/Web module DC can't be deployed I've created a second DC of type J2EE/Enterprise Application and referenced the first DC. This DC is also built fine and can be deployed.
    But... When I call my servlet I get following Error Message on the web browser:
    The request cannot be processed.
      Details:
      com.sap.engine.services.servlets_jsp.server.exceptions.ServletNotFoundException: Cannot load the requested servlet [LocalDevelopmentservletxxx.com/servlet/TestServlet].

    Hi,
    One thing that can be helpful is to add the references of the JAR files that you are adding as Used DC in the EAR.
    This can be done by adding Library type References in the application-j2ee-engine.xml Deployment descriptor in the EAR project.
    Following link will be helpful: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/83/82814282cfc153e10000000a1550b0/content.htm

  • Integrating SuccessFactors PMS solution With SAP HCM without saving any employee master data in SF

    Hi Friends,
    We’re implementing SuccessFactors’s Performance Management Solution only at one of the client location in Saudi Arabia and trying to integrate with the On-Premise SAP HCM and Push the employee data to SF.
    However, due to security concerns customer doesn’t want to store any data on SucessFactors cloud solution to run the PMS cycle.
    During the purchase of license for SuccessFactors SAP has demonstrated client that, in SF a unique Id will be created for each employee, which will not be the actual UserID(PERNR)from SAP, and with this unique ID actual employee data will be tagged/linked  in SF which will fetch the data from SAP On-Premise system to run  the PMS cycle.  Once the user logins in SF, based on the unique ID data will fetch from SAP On-Premise system to SF on a real time basis and when the user logged out from the SF system, data should be cleared/deleted and nothing will be saved or stored in SF with respect to employee Master Data.
    I understand SAP has provided the standard add-on for the Employee Data Scenario between SuccessFactors and SAP HCM, which could have been leveraged here for integration using PI, however with the above limitation this solution is absolutely out of scope.
      Please advice, is there any solution where with PI if we can achieve the above requirement of client.
    Thanks,
    Farhan

  • Handling the context when integrating SAP with WBIMB

    I need to integrate SAP systems with an integration platform that is based on WebSphere Message Broker 5 (WBIMB). Now I am looking for a feasible solution to integrate these platforms.
    I am concerned about how to handle the context when integrating SAP with WBIMB.
    I have read the topic “SAP XI and WBI adapters” (SAP XI  and WBI adapters) in this forum with interest. However, my requirements are slightly different, and my knowledge on development in SAP is limited.
    The WBIMB integration platform acts as an Enterprise Service Bus in a SOA. We have a general requirement about guaranteed delivery i.e. once and only once, and therefore the transport protocol is MQ. The HTTP protocol does not satisfy this requirement. Thus we can use Web Services when they are carried as SOAP messages over MQ, but SOAP/HTTP is not acceptable.
    The SAP systems can act as service provider as well as service consumer. The WBIMB act as an intermediary, which routes service requests to the proper provider and service responses back to the consumer.
    When acting as a service consumer, the SAP system shall specify the context such that WBIMB is able to route the service request to the service provider. Routing is based on the context, which is specified as a property in the MQRFH2 usr folder. Thus the MQ message containing the service request from the SAP system shall specify this usr property, and the value will depend on the requested service. In JMS, the value can be set by calling the TextMessage.setStringProperty method e.g. as TextMessage.setStringProperty(“MyContext”, “XYZ”).
    When acting as a service provider, the SAP system shall pass the context from the request back in the response message to WBIMB. Actually, I want to pass the complete usr folder from request to response, because it contains more information than just the context property.
    I need answers to the questions:
    1. How can I set the context from SAP when it acts as service consumer?
    2. How can I get SAP to pass the context (MQRFH2 usr folder) from request to response when it acts as service provider?
    3. I have looked at the SAP XI JMS Adapter. It looks as I can set additional JMS parameters. But the property value will depend on which service to call. Do I need to setup a JMS Adapter per service or can I set the value dynamically?
    4. Can the SAP XI JMS Adapter pass the context from request to response?
    5. Are there better alternatives than using the SAP XI JMS Adapter?
    Many thanks for any help you can give me in advance.

    Hi Daniel,
    Thanks for your answer. I expected it would turn out this way
    So the good news is that when SAP is acting as service consumer it sounds fairly easy to set up a mapping from XI message to MQ context.
    But when SAP acts as service provider it sounds as more customisation is required and I am worried about having to save the state. It will hit performance when the context is not carried as part of the message. In this case I prefer to use a generic solution on WBIMB, where I can handle the context for SAP (as well as other service providers). Then I only depend on the ability to set correlation in the response. But it will still cost performance because WBIMB also has to save the state on temporary MQ queue.
    Ideally, the SAP XI/Adapter should be able to pass the context 'out-of-the-box' to better support intermediaries like the WBIMB as ESB. I put this on my wishlist
    Anyway, I appreciate that you was able to confirm my observations.
    BR
    Allan
