  • Unable to open a seperate java console window with javascript:window.open()

    Hi All,
I am opening a new window using javascript:window.open() function by clicking an hyperlink in a html document. In this new windows I am trying to load an applet. Only for the first time a java console window is displayed in windows system tray . How can I open a different java console window each time I open a new window ? Basically I want to run each applet in its own JVM and it seems that each applet loaded in new window is using the same JVM and hence only one java console window is seen in my system tray.
    Please help ...
    Thanks & Regards,
    Ravi.

    Hi,
We are currently facing this exact issue. Did you ever find a resolution?
    Any input would be appreciated.
    Thanks,

  • Want to hide Java Console Window when launching apps on Solaris 9.

    Hi,
I am working in a Solaris environment with Solaris 9.
When I launch any of my applications, the java console window appears.
I want to hide this window.
The java version that I am using is JDK 1.3.1_01.
I found this link that shows you how to configure your java settings to hide the console window.
    http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/guide/deployment/deployment-guide/properties.html
    1. I placed the deployment.config file in the appropriate directory:
${deployment.java.home}/lib/deployment.config     (${deployment.java.home} is the location of the jre from which the deployment products are run.
Deployment products include Java Web Start, Java Plug-in, Java Control Panel...)
In this file I have the following:
         deployment.system.config=/.java/.deployment/deployment.properties
         deployment.system.config.mandatory=false
deployment.console.startup.mode=HIDE 2. The /.java/.deployment/deployment.properties file is not created by default.
So I created it but still the java console window appeared.
The above configuration is the system level settings taken from the webpage I specified above.
I have also tried the user level settings but to no avail.
Any ideas what I may be doing wrong?
    Rgds,
    Adrian.

    Hi all,
Thanks Jacky, the Control Panel is the best way to hide the console window.
I have achieved this when using java 1.4.2.
But when using java 1.3.1_09, the control panel does not give me the option to "Hide console" or "Do not start console as is the case when using java 1.4.2.
What it goes give is Show Java Console checkbox which I have unchecked and minimises the console on the desktop as a result.
Perhaps the functionality to hide (ie: not display) the console window is not available in the java 1.3.1_09 version?

Hook called to handle data retrieval errors before rendering.
After doModifyView(), the Web Dynpro Framework gets all context data needed
for rendering by validating the contexts (which in turn calls the supply
functions and supplying relation roles). In this hook, the application
should handle the errors which occurred during validation of the contexts.
Using preorder depth-first traversal, this hook is called for all component
controllers starting with the current root component.
    Permitted operations:
    - Flushing model queue
    - Creating messages
    - Reading context and model data
    Forbidden operations:
    - Invalidating model data
    - Manipulating the context
    - Firing outbound plugs
    - Creating components

  • Hint:  Start a Java Console Window to diagnose problems in Workflow Designer

    Hello -
A trick you can use to try and identify problem you are having using the Workflow deisgner is to turn on the JavaConsole for the designer session. On windows you can do this by modifying the shortcut to start designer. Add the following parameter to the end of the path:
    "c:\wf\adobe_livecycle_workflow_7_0_designer.exe" -is:javaconsole
Note the Quotes around the path, and the parameter after the quotes.
This will open a console window along with workflow designer - any exceptions thrown will print a stack trace here (as well as any System.out lines you use in a QPac Dialog etc.) I would recommend using this option all the time as it may help diagnose issues.
In the case if mis-matched versions on the server and client you can expecct errors like "InAuthenticPrincipalException", "InvalidClassException" or SerialVersionUID mis-match.
    Hope this helps,
    Will

I have created two projects, one by Java and the
other one by VC++. Now I want to start the VC++ app,
which is a console app, in the Java program. I tried
    using "Runtime.getRuntime().exec(path of VC app)",
but it doesn't work. Even I found with this way, the
Window cmd line cannot be started either. Coz this VC
app is console based, I suspect if there are some
restrictions on the Window Console App to be called
by this Runtime class. Could anybody here help me
with that? Thanks a lot!No. There often seems to be some confusion about how the exec methods work and the restrictions since it is coming from Java.
    Let me clear that up.
    That is 100% rubbish.
When runtime exec "doesn't work" it means that you have not used it correctly or understand the environment in which it is running or a a myriad of other confusions. But this question gets asked alot and about one point I cannot be more clear. There is NOTHING special happening because it is Java. Windows or Linux or whatever you are running is NOT saying "Well I won't run that program run because it is Java and I hate it. Ha ha!"
No. What it means when it "doesn't work" is that either the OS is saying "what they hell did you just say?" or because the OS says "okay" and does something that you didn't expect.
At any rate please read the following article that has helped many before you http://www.javaworld.com/javaworld/jw-12-2000/jw-1229-traps.html

    Hi,
Might be an issue with configuration files.
check your configuration files default.evn and formsweb.cfg.
did you try changing anything in these files off late ?
also try clearing Jinit cache and restarting your OC4J

  • Replaced MSVM with Java in XP SP-2.2, now Java console start crashes OS/PC

Hi all, can anyone here help me out?
I upgraded from Microsoft Virtual Machine to the Sun Java VM. I did everything the directions said to do meticulously, but when I went to start the console and then check to see if it was installed properly I couldn't get the console to start from control panel nor Internet explorer "Tools" tab.
All I get is a blank gray window that says at the top that it is the java console window. If I click inside it or try to close it (the only way to get it to close is to use task manager to close it manually) then it crashes my OS/PC and forces a restart automatically.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled it (Java) several times with the same exact results each time. So ummmm....what am I doing wrong here? Any clues as to a solution would be greatly apreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    -Jeff.

If you tried to use the MS removal too, read this:

    This may be a solution:

  • Multiple Java Console open in JRE 1.7 on IE8 browser

Our application has interface in HTML where we used LiveConnect for Java and Java Script using Applet. Single HTML page loaded multiple Applet.
When we access our application using JRE7 on IE8 then it opens multiple Java console window which result to unable to get reference of global object and failure of application.
Our application is working fine on JRE6 for all updates.

My organization is experiencing very similar problems.  We have resolved it through several steps.
We upgraded the client to Java 8 and we saw in the console that the hanging connection with the Domain Controller no longer occurs.  This may be all that is necessary for your environment as well.

  • Sun Java Console/JRE

I installed JRE 1.2.2 and was able to run the Sun Java Console, I then installed JRE 1.3.1_04, now I can not open the Sun Java Console Window, I get an hour glass when I select Java Plug-In Control Panel, the hour glass disappears and nothing happens. I am able to build, deploy, run Java apps, but I require the Console Window to be open, there are some values that I need when running the app through IE 5.5
I have tried several things, removing the JRE and reinstalling but doesn't seem to work. Has anyone come across this problem? If so, what did they do to rectify the problem?

    Hello,
Finally, I've met your situation. I guess this is due to different JRE directories and registries in different Windows version, I can't fix it. :P
I use a workaround for myself. If none of your current Java Console show up, try install Plug-in 1.4.1_01 or 02 or the newest version. Then use Plug-in 1.4.1_02 Console, to choose your old version of JRE 1.2.2 and make sure only this Plug-in activates IE browser. At last attachs any parameters you needed with the current selected JRE.
If any of your Plug-in can show up, then no need to install newer Plug-in. Just select your target JRE 1.2.2 inside current Plug-in.
    That's it!

  • Cache entry not found error message in java console 1.6.0_05 - Citrix ICA

    Client information:_
    Windows XP_SP2
    Java Runtime version 1.6.0_05
    Application: Citrix ICA version 9.4.1868
Slow citrix ICA client connection, repeated errors in the java console stating "cache entry not found". However when I downgrade to Java Runtime version 1.5.0_10 I do not see the "cache entry not found" errors and the Citrix ICA connection is much faster. Basically launches and connects in 10 seconds versus 2 minutes.
    Any ideas? Thanks!

    Hi,
All your classes must be accessible through the web. The easiest solution is to put all your classes in the same folder as your web page.
If your classes are in a different folder (which must be mapped as a virtual directory), try adding the codebase attribute to your applet.
    Regards,
    Kurt.

  • FATAL error when opening Java Console in IE6.0 ?!

    JDK 1.5.0_04 + JRE 1.5.0_04
I am experiencing problems with the following issue.
Java JDK/JRE 1.5.0_04 (the latest distribution)
I installed Java JDK last night and after installation everything was OK, until my IE6.0 Browser crashed (I had to close all the browser windows)
After this I wasn't able to load Java Console anymore but I got the following error message.
    TM- FATAL ERROR
The Java Runtime Environment cannot be loaded from <\bin\server\jvm.dll>
(I also cannot run any Applets)
    NOTE
The Java Console worked just fine right the installation.
I do have two user accounts on the same computer and if I login to the other users account everything is OK; i.e. I am able to run Applets and Java Console I also can open without any problems.
I have now done the following.
    1) I have reinstalled the JRE
    2) I have reinstalled the JDK
    3) I have reinstalled both again into different directories.
If I just uninstall JRE then I can gain the previous version of the JRE back into use and then I am able to run Applets normally. ( version JDK 1.4.2_05+JRE 1.4.2_05)
How could I overcome this problem ??

    User,
As you did not give any other information other then the stack trace it's heard to help. Does this error show a dialog box which asks you if want to save your work and exit or save and continue?
Where was the ER diagram created?
