Multiple Java Console open in JRE 1.7 on IE8 browser

Our application has interface in HTML where we used LiveConnect for Java and Java Script using Applet. Single HTML page loaded multiple Applet.
When we access our application using JRE7 on IE8 then it opens multiple Java console window which result to unable to get reference of global object and failure of application.
Our application is working fine on JRE6 for all updates.

My organization is experiencing very similar problems.  We have resolved it through several steps.
We upgraded the client to Java 8 and we saw in the console that the hanging connection with the Domain Controller no longer occurs.  This may be all that is necessary for your environment as well.

  • JAVAW.EXE stopped when Java Console closed since jre6_0_11

    Hello,
I'm facing a boring problem since I have installed the last JRE version 6_0_11.
I have a SWT client which runs perfectly with older JRE version.
With the last version of the JRE, i need always to keep my Java Console opened to see my SWT client. When I close the Java Console, my SWT client closes itself after 1/2 seconds.
The javaw.exe task is closed too. I don't see what could be the problem.
It's quite ennoying for an application in production environment ...
My application runs on Windows XP. I use javaws to launch my SWT client.
    Thanks a lot !

The bug report has been posted under the incident ID 1430120.
    Best regards.
    Cyrille
PS: I really think that the JAVAWS.EXE is the cause of the problem. Indeed, when I create a shortcut to launch my SWT client and if in this shortcut, i refer the Java Web Start of the JRE 6 update 7 and in the Java Control Panel I use the JRE 6 update 11, it's ok.

  • Java console doesn't open from Firefox 3 with jre 6u10

    OS: XP SP3
    JRE: 1.6.0_10-b33
    Browser: Firefox 3.0.3
Confirmed on a new profile, when Tools->Java Console is clicked, no console and the menu item becomes disabled

    Thanks for reporting the issue.
In 6u10, the New Java Plug-In design has detached itself from a browser process which provides a more robust and enhanced experience. Developers can launch and configure their VM settings through an Applet. As a result, there is very little association between a browser process and Java runtime environment running Applets. In addition, with the new capabilities of the New Java Plug-In, there are more chances multiple VMs are launched within a web page. Therefore, it is no longer useful to launch Java Console via the browser menu as that will cause more confusion.

  • Multiple problems with Firefox 3.6.6 - Java Console, Flash, PDF & opening

running Windows XP with Firefox 3.6.6. I just upgraded to 3.6.6 & since then have been having multiple problems. 1) 3.6.6 takes a LONG time to load or hangs 2) As recommended Flash plugin updated to Flash 10.1. Subsequently Flash doesn't work. All I get when I use Firefox on any site is the F in a circle that indicates that flash is necessary to display the page. I have no problems with Flash on Google Chrome. 3) Java Console having issues. When 3.6.6 opens it says Java Console must be updated. So I update it. Then when it opens it says it's not supported & needs to be removed. Each time it wants me to restart Firefox to complete the task. If I say restart later cause I'm sick of opening & Closing again & again it pops up every 5-10 minutes & asks again. Please HELP!! 4) PDF files will not open since upgrade to 3.6.6. Having no issues with Google Chrome. It opens in miliseconds & runs everything but I prefer Firefox if it can be gotten to work right. Desperately need help.
    == Upon upgrade

Please respond with a list of all of your Extensions.
-type '''about:support''' in your URL/address/location bar and press the Enter key
    -click "Copy all to Clipboard"
    -paste into your reply
<u>'''1).'''</u> Please explain "long time to load" in more detail; approximately how long? Hanging when: on startup of Firefox, during use (please list some sites/pages, if so), at shutdown?
    For hanging at exit:
    <u>'''Kill Application'''</u>
In Task Manager, does firefox.exe show in the <u>'''Processes'''</u> tab?

    [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Firefox_hangs#Hang_at_exit Firefox hangs at exit]
[[Firefox is already running but is not responding]]
    <u>'''Safe Mode'''</u>
You may need to use '''[[Safe Mode]]''' (click on "Safe Mode" and read) to localize the problem. Firefox Safe Mode is a diagnostic mode that disables Extensions and some other features of Firefox. If you are using a theme, switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes <u>'''before'''</u> starting Safe Mode. When entering Safe Mode, do not check any items on the entry window, just click "Continue in Safe Mode". Test to see if the problem you are experiencing is corrected.
    See:
    '''[[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]]'''
    '''[[Troubleshooting plugins]]'''
    '''[[Basic Troubleshooting]]'''
If the problem does not occur in Safe-mode then disable all of your Extensions and Plug-ins and then try to find which is causing it by enabling <u>'''one at a time'''</u> until the problem reappears. <u>'''You MUST close and restart Firefox after EACH change'''</u> via File > Restart Firefox (on Mac: Firefox > Quit). You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the Safe mode start window.
<u>'''2).'''</u> Could be caused by a Flash-blocking Extension (the reason for asking for your list of Extensions) or could be in your Firewall or AV/AS application. What Firewall and/or AV/AS applications to you use?
    See: [[Firewalls]]
<u>'''3).'''</u> Again, the reason for asking for your Extensions. Is it Java Console or Java Deployment Toolkit in the error message. Need version numbers on both of the above. You may have some Java remnants from a prior Java version; Java does not clean-up after itself and we can help you remove some of those remnants, if you will supply the information. See:

  • I have a program that runs in Java Console. I need to run multiple copies of the program. I can't do this with tabs. Can I do it with separate windows/processes

The program in question was implemented as a Java applet that runs in a browser. The developer says it must run under the Java Console and that I cannot run more than one copy of it in a given browser technology (e.g., Firefox); but I can run multiple copies if I use, eg, Firefox for one, IE 32 bit for another, Chrome for a 3rd and IE 64 bit for a 4th. I have tested this, and this does work.
Why would it not be the case if I spawned a completely different Firefox instance/process? When asked this question, the developer said, no, you have to run a different browser implementation to get a distinct Java Console for each one.
Does this make sense in general, or, more importantly, is it true for Firefox?
    Thanks,
    Dennis

It is working for me if I open a second Firefox instance with its own profile by starting Firefox with the -no-remote command line switch.

  • JRE 6 x Mozilla Firefox Java Console problem

    Dear sirs
I want to call the attention that the extension that JRE 6 installs on Firefox has a wrong MaxVersion. This causes the Java Console not working on Firefox 2.0.0.4 (the most recent version)
    Instead of the maxversion
    2.0
(current, cause of problem) it should be
    2.0.*
It's possible to fix in our computer, editing the install.rdf file but it's important that java community delivers the CORRECT extension with Maxversion 2.0.*
Steps to fix on your computer:
    1- Find c:\program files\Mozilla Firefox\Extensions\{CAFEEFAC-0016-0000-0001-ABCDEFFEDCBA}
2- Edit the maxversion in the install.rdf file to 2.0.*
    3- Save the file
4- Pack all the content of this folder (two files and the chrome folder) into a new zip file called temp.xpi
5- Drag this file on a Firefox Window or open it from File - 'open file' menu
6- Install and restart. Now Java Console will be working.
    Best Regards

  • FATAL error when opening Java Console in IE6.0 ?!

    JDK 1.5.0_04 + JRE 1.5.0_04
I am experiencing problems with the following issue.
Java JDK/JRE 1.5.0_04 (the latest distribution)
I installed Java JDK last night and after installation everything was OK, until my IE6.0 Browser crashed (I had to close all the browser windows)
After this I wasn't able to load Java Console anymore but I got the following error message.
    TM- FATAL ERROR
The Java Runtime Environment cannot be loaded from <\bin\server\jvm.dll>
(I also cannot run any Applets)
    NOTE
The Java Console worked just fine right the installation.
I do have two user accounts on the same computer and if I login to the other users account everything is OK; i.e. I am able to run Applets and Java Console I also can open without any problems.
I have now done the following.
    1) I have reinstalled the JRE
    2) I have reinstalled the JDK
    3) I have reinstalled both again into different directories.
If I just uninstall JRE then I can gain the previous version of the JRE back into use and then I am able to run Applets normally. ( version JDK 1.4.2_05+JRE 1.4.2_05)
How could I overcome this problem ??

    User,
As you did not give any other information other then the stack trace it's heard to help. Does this error show a dialog box which asks you if want to save your work and exit or save and continue?
Where was the ER diagram created?
