I have followed the way to add JSF libray,
1)Right click the projet->project properties->javadoc->JSP taglibraries
2)Inside the Distributed Library i have selected the JSTL core 1.2 and click on add.
3) Then a new dialogue box of Choose tablibraries came.inside that only struts bean,struts Html etc are seeing.
What i need to select?..Do i am following the right way?

JoostHi Dominik,
Having a closer look at the problem, we found it is not the number of users.
It seems our JAVA components keeps the conenctions with SAP open and reopens a new one every time we start the component.
If we finished solving the problem, I will publish the solution.

Hi siddiqali,
According to the screenshot you posted above, the use account didn't have sufficient permission to open the report, please check the following prerequisites before you perform the action:
You must use a report definition (.rdl) file as a data source. Importing from a report model is not supported.
You must have permission to open the report under your Windows user account, and you must know the address of the report or the report server that hosts it. You can check your permissions by trying to open the report in a Web browser first.
If the report opens, it confirms that you have sufficient permissions and the correct URL.
Reporting Services must be version SQL Server 2008 R2 or SQL Server 2012. Those versions include the data feed export feature that streams report data in the XML data feed format. You can identify the report server by the Export as Data Feed option
that appears in the report toolbar when you open the report in browser:
For detail information, please see:

Have you taken a look at the JSP sample code available on OTN? I would start by making sure you can run that.

Hi All,
Can anyone suggest me how to approach for the below error while testing the bean in the Browser :
The requested resource /ClaculatorLgWeb/CalculatorLg.jsp is not available
Details: File [ClaculatorLgWeb/CalculatorLg.jsp] not found in application root of alias [/] of J2EE application [sap.com/com.sap.engine.docs.examples].
Thanks & RegardsHi Venkat,
The error says that it is unable to find the jsp's in the application.
You check that the CalculatorLg.jsp, CalculatorLg.jsp and the entire application is active and also check that it is deployed properly.

Problem with JSP using bean packaged in jar file
Hi,
I am trying to use a java bean in a jsp file. The java bean is packaged
into a jar file. I am getting class not found compilation error. If the
bean remains to be a seperated class file, everything work well.
Does anyone know how I can use bean in a jar file within jsp , i.e. to
allow the bean to be found during compilation ?
Thanks,
Terence.

Jacek,
Thanks for replying.
My JSP's are just files in my document root . However, I found a solution to
my
problem. That is to have the jar file defined in my weblogic.class.path. I may
have missed some files in my original jar file which causes my problem.
Mayby I should package everything into a web application for deployment. That
will be my next step.
Thanks anyway.
Terence.

I have used JDeveloper 9.0.4 and 10.1.2 for developing a Web applications and get the following error, when I compile my JSP:
Error(1): java.io.UTFDataFormatException: Invalid UTF8 encoding.
This is the begining of my JSP, and the errors is marked on directive tag <%@ taglib...%>:
<%@ taglib uri="/WEB-INF/tlds/struts-bean.tld" prefix="bean" %>
<%@ taglib uri="/WEB-INF/tlds/struts-logic.tld" prefix="logic" %>
<jsp:useBean id="parametros" scope="request" type="java.util.List" />
<bean:size id="parametrosSize" name="parametros" scope="request"/>
Also I have another error, highlighted on the <bean:size> tag,: Metadata for namespace '/WEB-INF/tlds/struts-bean.tld' is not loaded.
In this Web Applications I'm not using Struts, I only use the Struts's Tag Libraries.
What it means this errors?
Regards,
FrankIn the web.xml file specify the taglib for the struts
<taglib>
<taglib-uri>/WEB-INF/struts-bean.tld</taglib-uri>

Hi All,
I’m having a hard time figuring out how to make Rest WebService calls.
I tried executing this directly through browser and I get an error.
http:localhost:8080/rest/bean/atg/userprofiling/ProfileServices/loginUser?arg1=&arg2=Password
13:18:20,613 ERROR [RestSecurityServlet] Error code: 401

From the documentation I understand that I need to create a session, is the session only necessary to access secured components since this
particular method “ProfileServices.loginUser “ has been declared as not secure in restSecurityConfiguration.xml
Also, are there two different ways in which I can log in
1. Using RestSession.createSession providing the username and password.
2. Or using ProfileServices.loginUser or ProfileFormHandler
Can someone please clarifyIf you are invoking the REST web-service from a Java client then you can create a RestSession object using the createSession method. But in your case you seem to be invoking it with a HTTP request which by default would be treated as a GET request by ATG's REST implementation. Therefore being a GET, it would try to fetch a property "loginUser" from /atg/userprofiling/ProfileServices component (based on your URL) which would always fail.
To invoke loginUser() method of ProfileServices with your passed argument you need to tell ATG's REST system to treat your incoming request not as GET but as a POST request which you can do using atg-rest-http-method control parameter in your request like this
http:localhost:8080/rest/bean/atg/userprofiling/ProfileServices/loginUser?arg1=&arg2=Password&atg-rest-http-method=POST
It should work this way provided your restSecurityConfiguration.xml is proper. -

Help:accessing beans method
hello
i have made one application in which i have made two beans under different packages. i am trying to access beans through jsp pages. i am able to access beans and their methods but when i add new method in bean and tried to access that method with different new jsp page say page1.jsp. I am not able to access new method though i am able to access old methods of same beans with this new jsp page. then i made new bean and copied that method in this new bean . then i tried to access that method of this new bean with page1.jsp and i am able to access it can any body guide me what is the reason for this. i want to run this method in old beran rather than new bean
my directory structure is:
projectlms---main folder
addstream---old jsp page
page1---new jsp page
web-inf/classes
com-------main packageof beans
ProgramManager----sub package of classes
bean1--------old bean
new bean------new bean just for testing
now the problem is that i want to add one more method to bean1 and want to access it through pag1.jsp
but i am not able to access it and same method when i take to new bean i am able to access that method through page1.jsp
but i am able to access old methods of bean1 through page1.jsp
thanks

Grtting error Attempt to access dead view row of persistent id 1
Hi,
I have created one custom method which takes two object:
Method is:
public void testDeprtment(DepartmentsViewRowImpl department,CountriesViewRowImpl Country){
try{
ViewObjectImpl departmentView = getDepartmentsView1();
ViewObjectImpl countryView= getCountriesView1();
departmentView.insertRow(department);
countryView.insertRow(Country);
}catch(Exception e){
e.printStackTrace();
In my application I have connected the Depatment with Employee and Country with Location table.
Now I am passing the values for the Department Object(Values for both Department and Employee) and Country Object(Values for both Countries and Location)
It is inserting the records on all the four tables but it is giving me the error after inserting.
Error: Attempt to access dead view row of persistent id 1
I am using Jdeveloper 11.1.1.5
Thanks,
VickyIs this in an Application Module method that you call from a backing bean? If this is the case, try using CreateInsert instead of Create so you can avoid calling this method just to insert the rows.

Error in JSP : Ambiguous class
In application i am getting following error :-
Error in JSP, Ambiguous class: java.beans.Statement and java.sql.Statement
here java.beans package is not imported still it gives error.
if i write java.sql.Statement then it works fine.
Code is as follows :-
<%@ page
language="java"
import="java.sql.*"
%>
<%
String a="Hello World";
out.println(a);
Statement st = null;
%>
Regards
RahulHi Rahul,
Someone had a similar question in another java newsgroup and there
someone explained that "java.beans.*" is added to the imports in the
generated Java file by the jsp container. Thus it seems to be an
implicit import so as you already figured out you need to write the full
path name to make it unambigous.
Regards,
/Helena

Error during processing local bean: localejbs/RfcAFBean
Hi everybody
we currently trying to perform a RFC Call to our developpment system. The scenario is a simple File to RFC Scenario and it worked until yesterday. Since today the Messages stuck in the RFC receiver Adapter with the following errors in the audit log:
MP: exception caught with cause com.sap.engine.services.ejb.exceptions.BaseTransactionRolledbackLocalException: Exception thrown in method process. The transaction is marked for rollback.
Exception caught by adapter framework: Exception thrown in method process. The transaction is marked for rollback.
Delivery of the message to the application using connection RFC_http://sap.com/xi/XI/System failed, due to: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: Exception thrown in method process. The transaction is marked for rollback.: com.sap.engine.services.ejb.exceptions.BaseTransactionRolledbackLocalException: Exception thrown in method process. The transaction is marked for rollback..
The deffaultTrace.trc show the following entries. Looks like an error in localejbs/RfcAFBean:

It looks like the JCO Bean has an error. Any Ideas
Regards OliverHi Bhavesh
I found some more interesting log entries and it seems to be a user password problem:
Retries exceded, set message 38f10280-3388-11dc-9c91-0003ba5d1d27(INBOUND) to status NON_DELIVERED.
Name or password is incorrect (repeat logon)

Is this the user/password of the channel or is it service user for the JCO?
