Error in passing decimal from Proxy to SQL

Hi,
I am having a Proxy to JDBC scenario.
In the proxy sender if the value is 123.45 then I want to pass it as it is to JDBC. The type is FLTP for this.
But unfortunately, proxy sends it as 1.2345E2 and it creates an error in data insertion in SQL.
Please tell me that how can I remove the 'E' stuff.
thanks,
Piyush

Hi Piyush,
Declare this field as String.

  • Error while converting schema from oracle to SQL server

    Hello,
    I am getting following error while converting schema from oracle to SQL server using SSMA.
    I get Errors 1-3 while migrating procedures and error 4 while migrating a table.
    1- O2SS0050: Conversion of identifier 'SYSDATE' is not supported.
    2- O2SS0050: Conversion of identifier 'to_date(VARCHAR2, CHAR)' is not supported.
    3- O2SS0050: Conversion of identifier 'regexp_replace(VARCHAR2, CHAR)' is not supported.
    4- O2SS0486: <Primary key name> constraint is disabled in Oracle and cannot be converted because SQL Server does not support disabling of primary or unique constraint.
    Please suggest.
    Thanks.

    The exact statement in oracle side which causing this error (O2SS0050:
    Conversion of identifier 'to_date(VARCHAR2, CHAR)' is not supported.) is below:
    dStartDate:= to_date(sStartDate,'MON-YYYY');
    Statement causing error O2SS0050:
    Conversion of identifier 'regexp_replace(VARCHAR2, CHAR)' is not supported is below.
    nCount2:= length(regexp_replace(sDataRow,'[^,]'));
    So there is no statement which is using to_date(VARCHAR2,
    CHAR) and regexp_replace(VARCHAR2, CHAR) in as such. 'MON-YYYY'  and '[^,]'
    are CHAR values hence SSMA is unable to convert it from varchar2 to char.
    Regarding SYSDATE issue, you mean to put below code in target(SQL) side in SSMA ?
    dDate date := sysdate;
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    You have imported the wrong class for HashMap.
    Import

    - selecting Read As Hyperlink in Object Format.
    When I drop this dimension into Result Objects panel in WebI Query and run refresh  'The Supplier XML is not valid' pops up.
    What i am trying to achive is to create a pre-formatted as Hyperlink object (dimension) in WebI to make it available for a user to design ad-hoc reports.
    Please help

  • Passing parameters from Excel to SQL stored proc. to analyse resultset in PowerPivot

    Hi,
    Not sure if I posted this question at the right forum ...
    I would like to implement the following scenario:
    - Enter parameters @startdate and @enddate in cells in an Excel worksheet (i.e. cell A2 has the value for the startdate parameter; cell B2 has the value for the endate parameter).
    - Pass these parameters to a SQL stored procedure (using MSQuery?). See below.
    - Calling stored procedure in PowerPivot to get the resultset in PowerPivot.
    The SP calls some functions in SQL Server. See below.
    I have read several posts on several forums but I can't get the parameters from Excel (MSQuery?) to the SP.
    What's the best way to have PowerPivot picking up the resultset from the SP?
    How do I get the Excel cells A2 and B2 to the SP below?

    Hi,
    According to your description, I think you want to call a store procedure in PowerPivot with the parameters which are stored in the cells of an Excel workbook.
    Are you using the PowerPivot add-in in Excel or PowerPivot in SQL Server?
    This forum is to discuss problems of Office development such as VBA, VSTO, Apps for Office .etc. If you are using Excel PowerPivot, since it is an add-in for Excel and it doesn't publish API for us, we cannot automatically call a stored procedure in Excel.
    We can get the data from Cells A2 and B2 with code, but it's hard to set it as the parameters of a SP when calling it from PowerPivot. About calling a SP from Excel manually, you could post in
    Excel IT pro forum for more effective responses.
    If you are using PowerPivot in SQL Server, I'm afraid your issue is more related to the feature of PowerPivot. We can get data from SQL Server database into Excel workbook, but I'm not sure whether we can get data from Excel cells in SQL Server. So I suggest
    you posting in
    SQL Server PowerPivot forum for more effective responses.

  • OnSubmit function Error in passing values from WDA Adobe Form to Ztable

    Friends,
    I am trying to pass values from Adobe Interactive Form to ztable.
    I am using WDA to display the form. I have created the form context with attributes that are bound to the form fields using the Adobe Livecycle Designer.
    Once the user presses the Submit button, the data is passed to the ztable. In the onSubmit function assigned to the Submit button, I am using the "Read Context" feature of WD Code Wizard to read the values of the attributes
    I am able to read and populate the ztable with values of the first 3 attributes. But am unable to read the value of  4th attribute using the "Read Context" feature of WD Code Wizard. All 4 attributes are of string type.
    I am not sure if this is a buffer size problem or is there a limitation that only 3 attributes can be read per Adobe form / onSubmit function.
    Please let me know what is missing.
    Thanks and Regards.

  • Error While Passing Parameter from Form to Report

    I am using Dev 9ids. And i am compiling every forms from form 5 to form 9i. and report too.
    Most of reports are running.
    in some i am getting problem where i do pass more than 5,6 parameters.
    for e.g in one case say
    set_report_object_property(rep_id,REPORT_OTHER,'comp_code='||:global.vc_comp_code||' inv='||inv||' invoice_no='||inv_no||' invoice_date='||inv_dt||' vc_name='||cust_name||' Paramform=no');
    this will not run and give error FRM-41214
    when i exclude vc_name or shorten the value of cust_name report run fine.
    length of cust_name and in report vc_name is proper.
    I also need to pass more parameters to report.
    I do think there might be parameter size in any of report system files to be increased.
    Pls help me out how to rectify this problem.
    thanks in advance.
    raj

    You are not getting the result in the report because you have chosen the button event as Query.
    Edit the form, for the Execute button, choose the button event Custom and use the same pl/sql code that you have used before.
    If the event is Query, then the session object does not have value of A_EMPNO at the point where you have written your code. The session object is populated after the Query event has taken place.

  • Error in passing parameters from Form to Report

    Hi All
    I am using 9ids
    I want to run report from a form
    From one procedure as
    vc_runformat:= 'htmlcss'; vc_reportserver:=:Global.repsrv;
    set_report_object_property(rep_id,REPORT_EXECUTION_MODE,BATCH);
    set_report_object_property(rep_id,REPORT_COMM_MODE,SYNCHRONOUS);
    set_report_object_property(rep_id,REPORT_DESTYPE,CACHE);
    set_report_object_property(rep_id,REPORT_DESFORMAT,vc_runformat);
    set_report_object_property(rep_id,REPORT_SERVER,vc_reportserver);
    set_report_object_property(rep_id,REPORT_OTHER,'comp_code='||:global.vc_comp_code||' vc_name='||cust_name||' inv='||inv||' invoice_no='||inv_no||' invoice_date='||inv_dt||' Paramform=no');
    vc_reportserverjob:=RUN_Report_Object(rep_id);
    vjob_id:=substr(vc_reportserverjob,length(vc_reportserver)+2,length(vc_reportserverjob));
    vc_rep_status :=REPORT_OBJECT_STATUS(vc_reportserverjob);
    if vc_rep_status='FINISHED' then
    web.show_document('/reports/rwservlet/getjobid'||vjob_id||'?
    server='||vc_reportserver,'_blank');
    else
    set_alert_property('alert_ok',alert_message_text,'Report failed with error message '||vc_rep_status||' !');
    al:=show_alert('alert_ok');
    end if;
    END;
    Report does not run
    now what i have found while rnd that
    when i pass a lot of userdefined argument
    it gives error.
    and if passed one,two,three userdefined argument than it works.
    in this example only
    when i passed
    inv='10016'
    dt='06-09-2003'
    inv_no='010016'
    comp_code='01'
    vc_name='PRODIMPEX'
    with these reports run fines but
    when i increase name data with one caharacter also it gives error
    say
    vc_name='PRODIMPEXR'
    report does not run.
    vc_name in report has character type with length 100
    but a lot of argument is to be passed more.
    I have also checked variable length. its fine
    i think there would be some setting in some report system file having the length of parameters
    which can be passed.
    please help me if u know this.
    thanks in advance

    Hi,
    this sounds familiar. Didn't you post exactly the same question a couple of weeks ago ? Don't remember what I replied to you, possibly to use varchar2 instead of character and give it a try. If this doesn't work, I remember that there is a way to use serverside command files for common parameters that needs to be passed. At least I can not find any bug filed against this. If the behavior doesn't change to teh better I therefore suggest to talk to customer support and file a bug.

  • Passing variables from .bat to .sql in instance creation scripts

    Hi all,
    In the classical instance creation scripts numerous parameters are repeated even if they are similar. For example, the directory into which saving the different tablespaces is often the same. Also i'm looking for passing them as parameters from the .bat launching the instance creation. My first tries give the following:
    -> In the .bat launching the creation:

    set MY_DB_NAME=DragNFly

    set MY_DB_CREATION_DESTINATION=E:\Oracle_DragNFly

    spool off;
    As you can see a first problem is that i have to set the variables the first time in the .bat and a second time in the first .sql. I don't know how to use an unique file for setting all the variables i need.
    Second difficulty is: fixing names and directories is a first step but i would like to fix all the different size values in this same file. The goal is to have only one file with dozen of values to change before creating new instances instead of checking all the different parameters inside of the different files.
    Third problem: variables are not transmitted to the init.ora. I think that it's possible to generate it using template and the defined variables, but i don't try for the moment.
    What is your mind on this?
    Probably there are better examples that i don't found?
    Regards,
    Tif

    the problem is nothing your showed.   did you see a security warning that you ignored?
    to test, if that's the problem go here and adjust your security settings:  http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager04a.ht ml
    if that fails, upload your files to a server and confirm everything works.  then start working on your local configuration.

    3. Now, I have created a function module Z_SEND_DATA, which extracts the data from the table and passes the table (an internal table is formed) to another wrapper function module (Z_WRAPPER) which has Table as of the parameter.
    4. The Wrapper function module is imported to Integration Repository.
    Now, when i execute the Z_SEND_DATA function module, t extracts the data and passes the table to Z_WRAPPER. ( Confirmed by debugging), but the function module does not pass the information to XI.
    When I checked SM59, there is a log "Server repository could not create a Function template for Z_WRAPPER".
    Not sure why I get the above error, please help.
    Thanks
    Rakesh

    Hi Sreeram
    I am not sure how do we specify the "Queue name".
    We call the wrapper FM by
    Call 'Z_WRAPPER' in background task destination 'SAPXIDEST'
    here, SAPXIDEST is the RFC destination,
    please let me know what does the the error " Server repository could not create a Function template for Z_WRAPPER", mean ??
    Thanks
    Rakesh

  • Patching: HTTP errors when downloading blobs from proxy controller to agent

    Hi all,
    I have a persistent issue which I can't figure out. Oracle support aren't much help.
    When applying a Recommended Baseline patchset to our managed Solaris 10 servers, I have observed that blobs are downloaded to the target servers at a rate of 1-2 blobs per minute. I consider this to be quite slow, but that's not my main problem.
    At some point during the blob downloads, http errors start appearing in /var/scn/update-agent/logs/error.log on the target server....
    HTTP request failed. Reason: Moved temporarily.
    HTTP request failed. Reason: Bad gateway.
    Eventually, the blob download job fails completely...
    118099456 Download aborted.
    Our servers are quite a way behind in their patching levels. Consequently, we often need to apply as many as 200 patches to a single server. We are lucky to download 100 patches (blobs) before the http errors begin.
    The errors would seem to indicate that the http servers on the proxy controllers are refusing any further connections midway through the blob downloads. I have tried tweaking the httpd.conf file on the proxy controllers - increased the number of httpd processes running and increased MaxClients to 100. None of this has helped.
    The proxy controllers have interfaces on the same subnet as the target servers. Network performance between proxy and asset is good.
    Has anyone else experienced similar issues with patching ?
    Does anyone have any suggestions for httpd.conf settings on the Proxy Controllers ?
    Cheers,
    Graham

    So I have figured out the issue and as Eddie mentioned it is because the email attribute is not synced.  For some reason when I go into Manage User Profiles I am unable to edit anything, i.e. I cannot add the email address.
    I am able to create a whole new user, which I did (already existed in AD) and of course included the email attribute.  When I sign into sharepoint with this user I am then able to view IRM protected documents.
    I cannot figure out why the email attribute is not synced to SP.  As mentioned above it seems the UPS does not work in a standalone SP install, but my undesrtanding is that when i sign into SP it is going to AD to autheticate, so why then does it not
    also retrieve the email attribute as well?
    I created an SharePoint Active Directory Import job, it runs successfully, it imports all my users from AD, but again without the eamil attribute!  Very strange.  If anyone has any clues I am all ears.

    Hi Praveen,
    The concept what we have observed is When you click on Submit the values were sent to GP. There GP framework takes care of all these. After that when you try to login to Portal and click on GP Inbox and try to open the application, what ever the data that is sent previously will be retrieved.
    Due to some reasons like Delegation and other conecpts where GP will not fit we have scrapped GP and got back to workflow. There we have used the concept of Portal Webservice inorder to send the data to R/3 by clicking on Submit button.
    We have successfully implemented the Adobe Forms Offline Scenario using Portal Webservice.

  • Error while passing file from webdynpro screen to DMS server to gene DMS no

    hello gurus,
                    i have one requirement in webdynpro abap.i need somme stuff to achive this.let me explain my requirement first.
    i have one view as main having file upload UI element and one action button as CREATE. now i perform browse and selected one file . now i am going to  perform action on that create button it is should generate one DMS document number against the selected file and strore this file in DMS storage location.for this i have used  'BAPI_DOCUMENT_CREATE2' bapi inside Action  of CREATE BUTTON. but it is showing error like    'Error while checking in and storing: D:\file1.doc'
                                            TYPE                                             E
                                            ID                                             26
                                            NUMBER                                             253
                                            MESSAGE                                             Error while checking in and storing: D:\file1.doc
    but when i am executing the BAPI  'BAPI_DOCUMENT_CREATE2'  directly while passing the same data to bapi it is generating the document number perfectly.
    i am new for this webdynpro could you please suggest me how can i overcome this problem.
    regards.
    babu.

    Hi,
    This is not error with respect to WD. you can check same problem in thread Error while checking in and storing: C:Userscbt.abapDesktopLOP.XLS
    I guess this will solve your problem.
    Thanks,
    Chandra

  • Pass output from PL/SQL proc back to ODI for logging

    Hi,
    In ODI (10g), is there any way to pass output from a PL/SQL procedure back to the calling stage?
    I am working on the run time of a batch, one part of which calls a procedure and so currently black box.
    I'd like to instrument the proc so that I can see in Operator some kind of timed activity so that I can profile its activity better.
    The best I've had suggested so far is to write out to file from the procedure and then use ODI to parse this and spit it out in the stage log. I don't like this approach for two reasons:
    1) Our DBAs quite rightly get very itchy with the privs required for writing to files, and another app to read from the same
    2) It's messy :)
    Any ideas?
    thanks, Robin.

    Robin
    I don't know ODI. However if you are calling a stored proc procA and you have control over what you call, at the very least you could write a wrapper procB as
    CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE PROCB (parms)
    AS
    BEGIN
    SYS.DBMS_MONITOR.SESSION_TRACE_ENABLE();
    MYUSER.PROCA(parms);
    SYS.DBMS_MONITOR.SESSION_TRACE_DISABLE();
    END;
    / If ODI sets service,module and action (as it should) then you could ask the DBA to set SERV_MOD_ACT_TRACE_ENABLE instead.
