Error in Read Mail Action Block in MII

Hi All,
I am getting the below error while trying to connect to the server.
INFO : ReadMail: Connecting To: xy.abc.com
[ERROR]: ReadMail Error: Connect failed; nested exception is:
     java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused
ERROR: ACTION FAILED: End Action ReadMail_0 :
But with the same credentials I am able to send mail from MII using the Send mail action block.
Mail Account and Password parameters are properly maintained.
I have tried this with both available Protocols POP3 and IMAP4 with respective port numbers.
Also tried with default Port as 110, but still facing same error.
Did any one faced this problem before?

Hi All,
Still this problem is not resolved. I have tried reading mails with same credentials from other clients which gives correct output. Whereas Read Mail Action Block in MII is not giving any output and gives above mentioned error.
Kindly help me on this issue.
Thanks in Advance.

  • BLS Send Mail Action Block Requires SMTP Mail Server Mail Account

    My SMTP Mail Server does NOT require authentication.  It appears as if MII Ver 12 requires a mail account to be filled in on the BLS Send Mail Action Block.  If the mail account field is left empty the transaction fails (error - mail account cannot be blank).  Transaction works without the mail account on Ver 11.5 but Ver 12 requires the field to filled in.  Please advise whether this is a new requirement in Ver 12 or a bug that needs to be addressed.

    Hi Sam,
    What I think is, it requires one mail account to send the mail and one to receive it.
    There is no restriction on receiver that can be anyone. But the sender needs to be known that some mail has been sent from his mail account. So may be because of this the added authentification is required. It will use that mail account to send the mails.

  • Web Service Action Block in MII 12.0

    Hi All,
    We are trying to understand the functionality of web services action block in MII 12.0 with a third party application.
    Can anyone share the complete procedure of the configuration to understand the data flow between webservice block with third party application.
    Thanks
    Rajesh S

    Rajesh,
    let's take your example. An external web service has been created with C or .NET or other tools. The creator of the web service also have created a URL that you can use to call the web service. The web service may accept input and responses output. The input / output parameters (among other settings) are defined in the WSDL.
    Now you want to call the external web service in MII. You create a BLT with the web service action. After you have entered the URL and press enter the web service configuration wizard calls the URL and retrieves the WSDL data (if the URL is correct). That's what I have described above.
    In the link editor MII displays the XML structure of the web service. There you can link data to the input parameter of the web service, e.g. the contents of a file. If the web service action is processed, the web service is called using the linked values, and the file contents is submitted.
    The external party can also call any MII BLT as a web service using the MII WSDLGen service. In the BLT, you also define Transaction Properties as input and output parameters. WSDLGen will build a xml structure using these parameters. If the external party want to send the file contents, it calls the MII web service with the file contents in the Transaction input property.
    You can easily test a MII web service. You just need two BLTs, one calling the other to see if the file contents is sent correctly.
    Does this explanation help? I do not see a difference between a URL and WSDL URL. The file contents is passed inside the web call, not stored in a location.

  • Changing action name of sample custom action block in MII 12.2

    Hi all,
    I have a problem changing the action name of the custom action block sample. I've changed the content and successfully implemented the action block. But when I changed the action name and uploaded again, the action block cannot display any input parameters and output parameters. In the java console, I can see 3 rows of "Shared Properties Error: No File Defined" error. Can I get a hand on resolving this issue? Thanks.
    The From rows are the sample code. To row is what I changed to.
    In SimpleActions.java
    From:
    @Action(name = "AddTwoNumbers", referenceDocumentGenerator = ReferenceDocumentGenSample.class)
    To:
    @Action(name = "GBarcode", referenceDocumentGenerator = ReferenceDocumentGenSample.class)
    From:
    public static void addTwoNumbers(
    To:
    public static void gBarcode(
    In catalog.xml
    From:
    Component Type="Action"
    Name="AddTwoNumbers"
    To:
    Component Type="Action"
    Name="GBarcode"
    All other code remains the same.
    Best regards,
    Lawrence

    Hi Lawrence
    Did you remember to change the action name in the catalog xml as well? In the catalog xml the Name field denotes the name of the action. This needs to also change in case the Action Name is changed in the class.
    Please check this and change if not already done.
    Regards

  • Read E-Mail Actionblock -Unable to read mail from Mailserver

    Hi,
    As a part of business requirement I need to write a transaction which picks the attachment from a particular mail on a server on a scheduled basis.
    I am getting the below error while trying to connect to the server
    [INFO ]: ReadMail: Connecting To: xxxx.yyyy.mycompany.com
    [ERROR]: ReadMail error: Connect failed; nested exception is: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect+
    [ERROR]: ACTION FAILED: End Action ReadMail_0 :
    But with the same credentials I am able to send mail from xMII using the Send mail action block.So this signifies that I am using the right MailServer name.
    Is this the problem with the firewall with the server ? or
    Will there be different MailServer name for receiving and reading mails?
    How to know which port number to be used?
    Did any one faced this problem before?
    Appreciate your help
    thanks

  • Error in opening pdf file from mail attachment sent thru MII

    Hi,
    I am using MII 12.1.4 build(36).
    I have created a pdf file from BLS using PDF actions block and saving the file in web location as mentioned below:
    WEB://<ProjectFolder>/<subfolder>/Report.pdf
    I'm using the same file as attachment in my m a i l action block with attachment content type "application/pdf" and AttachmentContent "ImageSaver.EncodedImage" or "PDFDoc.Output".
    When i check the mail,i can see the attachment with some size of 8kb,but when I open the file i will get below error:
    "Adobe Reader could not open Report.pdf because it is either not supported file type or because the file has been damaged(for example,it was sent as an m a i l attachment and wasn't correctly decoded)"
    If I try to open the same file by exporting fit to my desktop,it opened properly.
    Anything I'm missing here?
    Thanks in Advane,
    Suresh

    Hi,
    According to below mentioned thread,this problem is fixed in 12.1.5 and above.
    Re: Attachment Content When sending PDF attachment in Send Mail Step
    Then I deployed the new patch ie SP07.
    Here there is one problem,ie in Menu page I can see the 12.1.7(Build40),when I open the workbech,it shows the previous patch 12.1.4(Build 36).Why is it so?
    All of my transactions running fine except the one which I have mentioned in my previous post.
    When I run the transaction mentioned in my previous post,it threw an excption for PDF Table Action block and the error mentioned below:
    [ERROR] Error found trying to execute action 'PDF_Table_0' Exception: [null]
    [ERROR] [PDF_Table_0] Action: Runtime threw an exception. Exception: [java.lang.StackOverflowError]
    When I can check the m a i l, I'm able to open the attached PDF file without error but without data.Is it because of the above mentioned error?
    Plz help me.

    Steve,
    The 500 error is what we get back from the target server.
    This is probably not a bug since I don't think that MII has ever supported the SOAP-Fault node to build the response XML.

  • UME permissions for Images Saver Action Block,  MII version 12.1

    I have a BLS using the Image saver block but it seems that some MII users can do not have the ablity to save files using this action block.   The BLS transaction works fine when I'm logged in as MII admin.
    What UME permissions do you need to write files on the local MII folder (in the project web path) to perform this action?
    Note:  I don't have access to UME on this box, as it is a customers box and is managed by a seperate basis person.  I need to let that person know what permissions to add.

    I think you have to assign the file system actions in the UME to a role that the user has:
    XMII_FileSystem_R, XMII_FileSystem_RW, XMII_FileSystemBrowser etc.

  • SAPME PAPI Interface Action Block error

    Hi all,
    I wasn't sure whether this goes under MII or ME, as it relates to the SAPMEINT component in MII.  There is a new action that was delivered with MEINT with ME 6.x called the SAPME PAPI Interface Action in the SAP ME Integration action group.
    On my computer when I try to Configure Object for the action and enter in a valid Credential Alias, and SAP ME Site, no matter what I put in the Search Filter (if anything) and click search I get an empty 'Message' popup with an 'info' icon and nothing else.  I am not sure what is causing this and how to rectify it. See attached file for screenshot.
    I have upgraded my Java multiple times both backwards and forwards and every update the same resulting empty Message appears.
    Has anyone come across this issue, and if so how did you fix this apparent Bug?
    Thanks,
    Joe

  • Error in reading the mails from POP3 server

    Hi,
    I am reading mails from the POP3 server using UTL_TCP package. I am able to retrieve .txt & .doc attachments successfully.
    I am facing an error when I try to retrieve an attachment with a very long name (irrespective of the file type). Also, I am unable to retrieve .docx, .xls, .xlsx file types. I noticed similarity in the reasons for the error I am getting. I realized that if I try to retrieve an attachment with a very long file name or any of the above mentioned file formats (.docx, .xls, etc.), the "name" attribute of the attachment goes to the next line and hence I am going wrong somewhere in parsing that line.(The complete line comprises of : Content-Type: application/vnd.openxmlformatsofficedocument.wordprocessingml.document; name="test_attachment.docx")
    I realized this pattern by doing executing Telnet commands to retrieve emails from POP3 server.
    I am trying to parse the line I am talking about in the following manner:
    IF line LIKE 'Content-Type: %;'
                   THEN
                        IF line LIKE 'Content-Type: %; name=%'
                        THEN
                             PIPE ROW (line);
                        ELSE
    -- This should only print the "Content-Type". But I get an error (pasted below) at this point
                             PIPE ROW (line);
    -- To read the "name" attribute which comes on the next line. But this line never gets executed since I get an error in the previous statement
                             BYTES := UTL_TCP.available (socket);
                             BYTES := UTL_TCP.read_line (socket, line);
                             PIPE ROW (line);
                        END IF;
    The error I get is :
    ERROR:
    ORA-29261: bad argument
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.UTL_ENCODE", line 29
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.UTL_ENCODE", line 251

    Hi,
    Try to manually download the file from application server using standard transactions, and than check how many records are you able to download from app. server.
    I guess there might be something wrong with the format of 583rd record, which makes sap assume that the file has come to an end.
    Hope this will help you.
