Error in Read statement

hi,
i have declared a structure same as i read frm my LSMW file
while executing the read statement, the data are not going to assign in the corresponding field.
any idea

The data which you have in the file does not seems to be matching with your structure. 1st document 2nd posting.. three movement.. but ur file is havin date at the third place.
but if you have spaces or tab delimited fields from the file you can use this syntax to split the string.
Split str1 at space/tab/pipe/comma into wa_zmb1c-document
                                                          wa_zmb1c-posting
                                                          wa_zmb1c- movement
                                                          wa_zmb1c- plant so on.
Provided the field from the file and work area structure should be of same type and LSMW file fields should be separated in a unique way using space, tab or pipe delimiter.

Guys,
Trying to write a Jax-Rpc client that consumes a web service hosted on WebLogic 7.1 talking soap 1.1. I can bind to that service using Apache SOAP - so I don't think that service is returning invalid XML.
Is there something in my client's classpath that's old or not compatible ?

Using WSDP 1.1 this can be fixed IF you're using a static stub to access the service by running wscompile with the -f:searchschema option when generating the client stubs. It will then search the schema aggressively for subtypes when generating the stubs and your client will function correctly. The downside is that this ties your client down to using implementation specific functionality that is not part of the standard, which IMHO is very bad but if you're happy to live with this then it will work.
Therefore I want to use a dynamic proxy client. For this you don't need to use the wscompile tool to generate client stubs and therefore the above fix doesn't work. I have searched the API documentation for some method that would have the same effect but thus far to no avail. Does anybody have any ideas?
On a side note I have to say I'm fairly unhappy that in the entire 900 page web services tutorial no mention is made of how to utilise inheritance for parameter and return types without running into problems, neither is any mention made of support for / lack of support for polymorphism which also seems to cause problems. Forgive my sarcasm and lack of grace but, "What, is it 1975 already?" In this day and age I DO expect to be able to use these things without having to specify obscure compiler options, or indeed worry about them in any way whatsoever.

I have a JWSDP (on weblogic 8.1 SP2) web service that is supposed to return a string that contains a small XML file. The client can call and invoke the service just fine and the service runs. This is caused by the response xml parameter is greater than the response parameter you have specified in your wsdl. Try to use packet monitoring to monitor all the process, you will notice that problems.

I have had this problem and I found that I was sending elements in a different order than the order specified in the WSDL. The elements don't all have to be present, but any that are present need to be in the same sequence.

EHPI installer: Error while reading a dynpro. Stuck at Start Shadow First.

Hi Everyone,
I am dead in the water with my test install of EhP5 using the most current installer. This small test is on an older iseries, V5R4 with 8G memory. The SAP version is ECC 6.0 at sp Basis 23 and Applications at 19.
The install stops at Start Shadow First, but the instance and work processes are up on the server.   The log- SAPehpiConsole reads:
Severe error(s) occured in phase MAIN_SHADOW/START_SHDI_FIRST!
Last error code set: RFC call to upg_is_shadow_system failed with key
RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE (open): Error while reading a dynpro

So I have a problem communicating with the shadow. Or is it a problem with the db_open?
From the test system I have an entry in SM59 to the shadow and I get this error when trying a connection test.
Error Details     Error while reading a dynpro.
And trying to logon to the client sends the same message, it does not bring up the login screen.
OK. So in the 3 weeks that I have restarted, re-set and completely restored and restarted the install, I have always come to this point. I have search for similar issues and have done a review of pertinent notes etcu2026    Just as a comment, last year I successfully did the Ehp 4 upgrade without many problems on this same system using last years SAP system.   In the month that I have been trying to do this, SAP has replaced the EHPI installer 3 times which indicates some problems on their part.
Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Error in if statement

i am writing a stored procedure in which i have made use of if statement my requirement is that in the if statement if a
certain record exists then go inside the if condition otherwise else condition i am getting error

what i am doing is that if statement mentioned above becomes TRUE then execute select statement and return
from there otherwise it goes inside else statement and perform some operation which is there inside the transaction
and then select some value which actually the last statement in else block this is my actual requirement

External table creation went through successfully but am getting error while reading data. Am quite sure error is because of above line in red color. Could you please help me in transforming logic.

Let's start with the basics...
1) You state that you are getting an error. What error do you get? Is this an Oracle error (i.e. ORA-xxxxx)? If so, please include the error number and the error message as well as the triggering statement. Or is the problem that rows are getting written to the reject file and errors are being written to the log file? If so, what record(s) are being rejected and what are the reasons given in the log file? Or perhaps the problem is something else?
2) You state that you are quite sure that the problem relates to the hilighted code. What makes you quite sure of this?

Error while reading excel file from application server into internal table.

Hi experts,
My requirement is to read an excel file from application server into internal table.
Hence I have created an excel file fm_test_excel.xls in desktop and uploaded to app server using CG3Z tcode (as BIN file type).
Now in my program I have used :
OPEN DATASET v_filename FOR INPUT IN text mode encoding default.
DO.
READ DATASET v_filename INTO wa_tab.
The statement OPEN DATASET works fine but I get a dump (conversion code page error) at READ DATASET statement.
Error details:
A character set conversion is not possible.
At the conversion of a text from codepage '4110' to codepage '4103':
- a character was found that cannot be displayed in one of the two
codepages;
- or it was detected that this conversion is not supported
The running ABAP program 'Y_READ_FILE' had to be terminated as the conversion
would have produced incorrect data.
The number of characters that could not be displayed (and therefore not
be converted), is 445. If this number is 0, the second error case, as
mentioned above, has occurred.
An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_CONVERSION_CODEPAGE', was not
caught and
therefore caused a runtime error.
The reason for the exception is:
Characters are always displayed in only a certain codepage. Many
codepages only define a limited set of characters. If a text from a
codepage should be converted into another codepage, and if this text
contains characters that are not defined in one of the two codepages, a
conversion error occurs.
Moreover, a conversion error can occur if one of the needed codepages
'4110' or '4103' is not known to the system.
If the conversion error occurred at read or write of screen, the file
name was '/usr/sap/read_files/fm_test_excel.xls'. (further information about
the file: "X 549 16896rw-rw----201105170908082011051707480320110517074803")
Also let me know whether this is the proper way of reading excel file from app server, if not please suggest an alternative .

Hi,
Try to use OPEN DATASET v_filename FOR INPUT IN BINARY mode encoding default. instead of OPEN DATASET v_filename FOR INPUT IN text mode encoding default.
As I think you are uploading the file in BIN format to Application server and trying to open text file.

StateManagerImpl.saveSerializedView tries to let UIViewRoot be a session
attribute and the error message says it should be serializable; certainly it' not.
I think HttpSession.setAttribute does not claim the object should be serializable.
I don't know why apache's StandardSession.setAttribute claims so.

Error while reading the PO in the Backend system   !

Hi all,
We are working on SRM 5.0(SP12) and Extended classic scenario.
The problem is that after the PO ís ordered it gives the message " Error while reading PO in backend system Inform system administrator" .
When I check the PO number in R/3 it does not exist.
The number range is correct both in SRM and R/3 (external no. range is ticked).
In RZ20,i find the log:
The error ocurred by processing event SENT_AGAIN with GUID 490F3C0834351AC6E10000000AE48838 and object_id= 3000000307
The R/3 System Version is 4.6C.
Any help is highly appreciated.

The no range is smae in both the systems.In SPRO ,howevre we have not maintained the no range in SRM for R/3 system.

I purchased tv shows for my son over 4th of July weekend from iTunes on my iPad...he has been watching with no problem...yesterday I backed up my iPad and the videos were taken off while I was syncing it. Error coming up states " warning some of the videos in your iTunes library including video "Dora" were not copied to the iPad "ellen's iPad " because they cannot be played on this iPad was not copied because the video format is not supported by the iPad.....makes no sense since he watched the video on Friday on my iPad...I went into the properties of the video and under the summary tab states kind of video is mpeg-4video file...went into the folder on my pc and the file is listed as a m4v file...under the tab tv shows when my iPad is connected I have it checked to sync tv shows and to automatically include "all" episodes of "all shows" ....
I am using version 4.3.4 on my iPad and iTunes version 10.4 ...I even restored back to the original settings and still did not work....called apple twice yesterday and spoke to 2 different people and no one could help me.....I am able to load a movie from my pc to my iPad with no problem and the movie is a mpeg-4video file....totally clueless...

I kept having a similar problem - 3 out of the 10 videos I had on iTunes wouldn't sync. They were in the right format and I KNEW they worked on my iPod because I'd RECORDED them on my iPod. I finally figured out what to do! Go to the movies in your iTunes library. Click on one that does not sync. Click on "Advanced" at the top of iTunes and choose "Create iPod or iPhone version". Once that's finished, be sure you delete the old version so you don't keep getting the error (or have 2 copies of the same video) and sync. This should eliminate the problem. At least it did for me!

Error: FF805 Tax statement item missing for tax code O0
No tax item exists for tax code O0 in a G/L account item. A possible cause is an incorrect transfer of
parameters by the application to the Accounting interface.

I am sorry for the late reply, but I started (in fact) to work in SDN Forum this year, even I entered earlier.
We have many FF805 errors reported by customers and the same solution has resolved the problem. Please note that the SD-FI interface changed from earlier releases. The note 400766 eplxains the checks made.
So it is possible that now you get error message FF805, when in an earlier release you didn't get it, eventhough no customizing change.
Please review note -> 392696   R/3 Tax Interface Configuration Guide
However please note => In the vast majority of cases, error FF805 occurs because of an error in your pricing procedure. The attached note 112609 explains in detail how tax codes are transfered to conditions.
The note 400766 explains the checks performed by the system on the Tax codes:
1. system checks whether there is a revenue line for each tax line.
2. in the reverse case, for each revenue line containing a certain tax indicator there must be a tax line with this indicator.
If the tax condition has condition value zero and condition base value zero, then it is not transferred to FI.
If you have revenue lines containing a tax indicator XX, but no tax line with tax indicator XX, then the error FF805 issues, and it is justified. => Please check these informations.
-> EXAMPLE
   If tax condition MWST has base amount zero and value zero; for this reason it is not passed to accounting. But, according to the criteria reported by note 112609, its tax indicator EG: A7
   has been assigned to the condition EG: ZBR1.
   So in accounting there would be a revenue line with tax indicator A7, but there isn't any tax line with indicator A7 (because MWST doesn't pass to FI). The note 400766 states situation is unallowed, and error FF805 is justified.
